Another hot, muggy day in Harlingen so what to do? Stopped in at this place and slow grazed the buffet with a couple of glasses of wine, ok, more than two but that s all you re getting out of me. I ll give them this, the ribs and the egg rolls are much better than the competition down the street and I was fortunate enough to be directed to Jasmine s station where I never had to do more than look up from my plate to be attended to. She pretty much put the sunshine on another hot muggy day in Harlingen

This place is simply awful. Quality of food is poor. I showed up hungry and left with that feeling in your stomach where the food was no good and it isnt going to sit right. I understand that this is a buffet, but their act is a mess. And please, get rid of whoever the DJ is. Walking in to a Chinese restaurant to listen to Metallicas enter sandman and nothing else matters doesnt feel like a restaurant but much more of a bar. We come here very often. But yesterday we both got food poisoning after eating here. My senor had shrimp and then went for the crab. Oh my gawd it smelt of rotting meat! It was the crab! Channel 4 you need to do a suprise visit on a week day Tuesday, Wednesday or a Thursday. I could tell the crab was bad just by looking at it! He took one bite and spit it out! He said the meat is bad! I replied yes I can smell it from across the table. Lets step it up cooks! There is no reason to be serving rotten food! Parking: Parking is good, plenty of spaces.

The service was awesome, the waitress was very sweet and constantly checked to see if I needed anything. My bad experience came from taking a bite out of the sweat and sour chicken and me having a nasty rotten piece in my mouth. When I let the waitress know, she said she d go let the cooks know to check out the chicken. Wasn t offered a refund or anything, still came and brought me the check like it was no big deal. Really gross. Please don t eat there. Doesn t seem like they check the quality of their food, they just fry it and drown it in some sauce and hope for the best.

Went last Thursday and there was flies all over the food and fruit. When we brought it to their attention they said they can t stop them from coming in when the door is being opened that day which is true but at least watch the food. We also got charged $69. Not even a discount.

Love this place but the buffet is expensive. Food ain t that good for the amount I pay. They picked my tip for me is crazy . Them picking our tip for us for 8 people is unbelievable they should not be doing that and deciding how much they should put. Oh my I don t even know we re to start I ve been sitting in the toilet since I got out my stomach hurts from the food I threw it all up it went everywhere on the walls and it came out the other side it hurts so baddd!!! . The seafood tasty so raw and nasty, not even worth eating or trying. They don t even clean there stuff they just do a lil wipe and don t even clean it right. They have no right to pick and choose what we should pay and how much them choose 15$ for a tip they need to be shut down. There bathroom are so nasty they don t even clean them either. Sunday, May 26. 2024 Todays visit was good. The thing I like about this restaurant is that it satisfies your cravings while offering Chinese food. For example; all you can eat chicken wings, all you can eat pizza, onion rings, salad, ribs, shrimp, crab cakes, fried oysters, and more. I missed the egg foo young, but thats no big deal. My waitress could not have cared less about me, but I dont go to buffets for wait staff service. My tip reflects the kind of service I received anywhere I go. One thing I noticed was that the carpeting in the dining room has reached its service life. When I dine here, I check the buffet before I allow myself to be seated. This way, I dont eat old food and then complain to employees or write a lousy review online. I think youll find this place enjoyable most of the time.

I went into this place with the expectations of mediocre food because thats what most buffets are. When I tell you everything I ate surprised me by how much flavor it had. This place is still the same. Rude hostess from the start. Food was cold and tasted old, like reheated over a few times. And when did they start kicking people out? Waiting for more plates and the waitress came with the check and said Have a good day. WOW!! They have hidden fees when youre paying. We were the 3rd table seated after opening for the day. Food couldnt even be considered warm. Fried food could have used a couple more minutes in the fryer. I went a few months back & the food was delicious. i went back today for lunch i had 1 plate & left! i even got up to try to get some more options but everything looked way over cooked, or half way done!! the sushi was half done & stuffed with cream cheese only, there was no noddles for about 30 mins. i had the fried crabs, you couldn t even take the meat out because it was STUCK on the shell. gyozas were so mushy & gross. hardly any choices to put on your plate for chinese cuisines. very disappointed & disgusted! never going back again!! the waitress just brought my coke & didn t bother to come back.

So let me preface by saying I dont go to buffets usually. But my dad loves them so I agreed begrudgingly to go here. I was pleasantly surprised at the variety of items including seafood and soups. Alot more vegitable options than most places. Lots of desserts including ice cream and homemade pastries. My favoraite was the crab Rangoon and the opaque jello. The wait staff was friendly and accommodating. No Suprised the local news has endorsed this place many times. Visited about a year later. Have to say the food has lost its flavor. Still clean and has good service. Dessert was good (opaque green jello was the bomb). The main courses, rice, seafood were well cooked but lacked flavor and were mostly cold. Disapointed tbh.
