We came into town to visit my brother, and this is one of our favorite hang out places. Herb kept the cold drinks flowing, the music was pumping, pool games were hot, and as always we spent it with great company. 5/5 recommend.

Ladies night was good up until the cost for shots which were $5 and not $3 as stated on their tv screen. False advertisement. Check your receipts and if this has happened why not change it since the beginning of the shift and not wait till you charge people. Possible scammers

I tend to visit with my dad to play a game or two of pool as its free on opening hours but charges a fee at night. Im not sure when they charge. The tables are beaten up but leveled as well. The cue sticks are in very good condition.

I decided to try the place and was disappointed. The music was playing the same genre. The music jukebox had rules that they can skip your music if bartender doesnt like it. The restroom was very dirty . Theres rules displayed all over their walls. Theyll chrarge you if you pop a pool ball? Do not wear you cap back?? I will not be back.

Excellent atmosphere. Good everyday bar, afternoon and evening. My favorite DOS XX beer is always cold. Nice pool table crowd, excellent pool tables. Baseball, soccer, cricket, football on TV monitors. Outside bar, great for smoking my stogies.

The overall atmosphere at Broken Tap is a bit unusual. The DJ seemed to be playing music that he personally enjoys, but the selection was not current and leaned towards early 2000s music, which didnt quite fit the vibe of the place. If youre able to, its recommended to opt for outdoor seating since the interior has a sewage-like odor thats hard to ignore. Despite the unpleasant smell, the bartender was friendly and efficient. However, its possible that the bar carries older liquor, as the alcohol had an unusual taste that I couldnt quite get past. I usually prefer to drink straight, but in this case, I wasnt able to enjoy the drink due to the strange taste. Overall, Broken Tap could benefit from some improvements in their music selection, odor control, and liquor offerings. However, the quick and friendly service from the bartender was a plus.

This is my favorite bar in Harlingen. In my opinion it is what I describe as chill. I love the music every time. Some nights have a Dj and other nights you can play music off the jukebox. Beer is always cold, offers a variety of liquors, and sometimes jello shots. There are pool tables and a dance floor. It also has a bar outdoors with nice seating. This bar also has games you can play with your friends and tvs both indoor and out to watch some ball games. The owner is awesome by the way! Great hospitality!

Seems this place is running under new management and a new set of rules. Ambiance was much better with indoor and outdoor seating. Plenty of room to social distance, which is what we were worried about. We dont mind a busy place just dont want to be packed in like sardines. Good variety of drinks to choose from, spacious, pool tables and a small dance floor. Well at least I think it was a dance floor, if not the wife and I turned it into one and other guests followed. Dj Music was absolutely fantastic. Great variety of old, new, English and Spanish. Was also taking requests. I would have given 5 stars but it was slightly pricier than other establishments Ive visited. All in all, great night out. Definitely be back.

$8 for a draft, bud light, on a Wednesday night? When did South Texas turn into San Diego? Staff were polite, seemed overwhelmed, which is odd since there were maybe 20 patrons. I guess you can entertain yourself by paying $5 for a pool table. Wont make that mistake again.

Terrible customer service! Traveled all the way from Washington to visit my family. Wanted one fun night with them, so I took my dad there to play some pool. I opened a tab, I was a paying customer. The bartender wouldnt let us have an empty pool table. There hadnt been anyone there for like 20 minutes. The way she told us to leave the the table was so rude! Certainly needs better people skills! Finished our one drink and left. Now I know why its dead there. Its a great location with a lot of potential! Unfortunately, the customer service sucks!
