At this point the cook isn t even trying anymore. These are supposed to be basically fried vegetables and the meat is so hard to chew. And it s supposed to be red salsa on this plate this was supposed to be the bistec ranchero plate.

I m so disappointed in this restaurant because I gave it about 5 chances and wanted so badly to like it. The main issues I have with it, are that their salsa tastes SO BAD they put either cumin, coriander or some other curry spice into it and I ve NEVER tasted this in Mexico or any other restaurant; they REALLY need to redo their recipe and make it taste better. Their breakfast tacos are TERRIBLE. Fake cheese, soggy bacon that s not cooked to order but old, and the eggs aren t cooked to order either, they re old the tortillas are not homemade and taste like cardboard. Every plate I ve had here is overpriced and tastes awful. Again, I really gave it so many chances and I would not recommend this restaurant. They really need to do an overhaul of their entire menu and their menu is way too expensive for the quality of food given.

I did a drive through order, only one car in front of me it took a little longer than expected but not terrible. At $3.25- $3.50 a taco I was expecting these to taste great , I ordered carne asada and chorizo , a flan and an horchata and to my disappointment the only thing I enjoyed was the horchata. The chorizo had a weird taste , the carne asada could use seasoning and the flan tasted like it had been sitting in a fridge for too long. I ll be skipping this place in the future.

One of my favorite spots to eat until today. We waited 45mins for our food. They kept saying the kitchen was busy but there were only 10 tables sat. My bloody mary was beyond disgusting and after one sip, I stirred it and took another sip. Even worse, it went back. Then our food...quesadillas had a puddle of grease on top and was burnt. Chicken was dry in the enchiladas and my food was totally wrong. I got a manager and she said, well, let me check your ticket to see what you ordered. By this time, we were all so hungry and upset, we just got up and walked out. Didnt even wait for her to come back. Will never go back there again.

Short, round, older lady in the drive-thru window is the rudest person in a customer facing position that Ive ever encountered, & thats saying a lot. Its bad enough that they serve breakfast tacos with huge chunks of eggshell in them, customers shouldnt have to also experience horrible customer service. Fortunately, word of mouth means something. When asked about this establishment, Ive simply shared my 3 experiences with this place and made it clear that Ill not be going back. 0/10 - Would NOT recommend.

I ordered stewed meat and when habri was all over the bag full of food there was no salad the rice was too little they didnt send the beans and to top it off the food was cold and I called to tell them what happened and they refused to give me the money and this is The second time it happens, I am sure that although the food is good, I will never order food from that place again. The food looked like food for pigs. The worst thing is that I was left without eating.

We drive by this Mexican restaurant all the time, so I know there are some loyal fans of this place. But our experience was a total disappointment. We stopped for lunch on a Tuesday around 12 noon. The place was not busy, and we were told to pick any seat. To start, the server was not friendly. It almost felt like he was being bothered to have to wait on us. People have bad days, but come on, when youre in the service industry, youve got to put a smile on your face and at least be pleasant. Unfortunately, this set the tone for our entire experience. Chips and salsa were delivered as soon as we sat down. I asked the server, and he told us that the chips came in a bag, but they made the salsa in-house. The chips were not great (hard and not crisp), and the salsa was watered-down without much flavor. We asked for another salsa and it was the same as the first one we got. We love chips and salsa and usually eat so much of it that we cant finish our meals. But we pushed the chips aside after barely making a dent in the basket. We both ordered water and it has an unpleasant taste to it. Weve had water at other restaurants in Harker Heights (and Killeen) and it doesnt taste this bad. I can only imagine that they get it directly from the faucet over a sink in back, where I bet most other places filter their water before serving it. If they are serving filtered water here, then they need to change the filter! All this and I havent even talked about the food! I ordered the Mexican Burrito Plate, and my wife ordered the Tejano Plate. The burrito wasnt very impressive....meat inside of a tortilla with cheese on top. Topping it off with some shredded lettuce, pico de gallo, shredded cheese, and sour cream would have greatly enhanced the meat. Now, I probably could have ordered all those toppings extra, but the burrito is already $12.25 (which is more than the price listed on the menu on their website), and I wanted to try something right off their menu without adding extra stuff. The refried beans are okay, a little garnish would make it look more pleasing, and the rice was undercooked without much flavor. The crispy taco that came with my wifes meal was soggy and like my burrito, it was just meat inside of a taco shell with a little lettuce and shredded cheese sprinkled on top. There are a lot of restaurants out there that serve Mexican or Tex-Mex food and unfortunately, Taquerias Mexico falls well short of average. Based on our experience, we wont go back and dont recommend this restaurant. UPDATE: I appreciate the response from the owner. This was a visit to your Harker Heights location. Other people have left great reviews for your restaurant, and this is only my opinion based on our visit. Although we wont visit again, I do wish you all the luck in the very challenging food industry.

If you are Mexican I would definitely not recommend this place restaurant. You honestly may not like the food or the customer service. I visited on 8/21/24 for lunch and the food is not worth making another visit and their customer service is even worse, it is not worth the money you will spend here. It is a disappointing restaurant. When you walk in it looks nice and colorful but that is about the only good thing about this particular restaurant Taqueria Mexico #3. I ordered sweet tea for my beverage and enchilada plate for my lunch. The chips are hard and stale, the enchiladas do taste like they are filled with sandwich cheese, which i personally do not like, my lemon that was in my tea had mold on it. I wish I could have asked for something else but my server became non existent past him dropping the beverage and plate at my table. All the other guests who were white were being checked on routinely, asked if they were enjoying their meal, asked if they needed anything. I couldnt even get a second drink. I was very much ready to walk out without paying to see if they would even notice that I was there. I bet they would once they saw the money walking out the front door. Disappointing is definitely the word for this place. To top it off right after we left our table. I turned around to see another group of people sitting there. The plates were the only thing removed. The table top was not even wet as if it was cleaned so that was pretty gross also.

I was in town the other day and was super hungry for a great breakfast burrito. This is the first place that popped up on Maps and it did not disappoint. The portion was huge. I got bacon, egg, potato, and cheese tortilla was a little crumbly but very tasty, the salsa Verde that I asked for was amazing. The red salsa was great as well. No nonsense kind of place. But that s a good thing. Would highly recommend! Wheelchair accessibility: There was a person with the wheelchair dining in the table next to me. I know that s important to most people. My mom is in a wheelchair herself, so yes, it s very accessible.

Overall the food is delicious. Occasionally when I order a dish without certain ingredients because of allergens, Ill receive a lot less than if I ordered as is. From time to time the grease utilized to deep fry the nacho chips is either not fresh or reused based on the smell and taste/flavor. Update - 7.16.23 Stopped by to get a breakfast burrito. Thought the cost ($8.20) was hefty for the single burrito and its size, but I was hungry. Didnt realize until the following day why it was so pricey. Based on the receipt, the debit card transactional surcharge is not absorbed at all like most businesses. It is passed directly to the customer. Thats part of having a business and utilizing electronic payments. Is this their new business practices or has it been ongoing? This is the first time Ive seen this process since frequenting the establishment. Chicken quesadillas absolutely are a good menu starter PLEASE, always check your receipts.

I ve been coming here for 3+ years as I live close by, and I ve never had a problem with portions (I usually get the mini tacos plate) but this time they served me a literally skinny line of meat on the tacos!! And the salsa verde is no longer spicy. I called and they said to come back and they ll tell the new cook because they are training him. Well when they gave me the remake (shown in photo) it was still not as much meat as they used to put, I told them it was better but usually I have trouble eating it because of the amount of meat!! The manager s response: that s how it is from now on and basically they didn t care at all. It s $11+tax for a tiny amount of meat slapped on there and I m being told that s how it is and have a nice day ?! Terrible customer service. If you have to raise the prices fine I ll pay an extra dollar but don t change what keeps customers coming back and actually care about the customer please. Don t be surprised if y all go out of business for not caring about the customer experience. This is not a genuine place with the true spirit of Mexican people and customer service anymore. Attention to all customers if you are more than 5 inches from the speaker, they cannot hear you through drive-through. I made the mistake and was to far, so I disrupted The manager himself and he had to walk out to take my order. He said I was too far from the speaker and they cannot hear me and I was hogging up his line. ( with a whole lot of unnecessary attitude ) after taking my order, even after I felt uncomfortable he throws his hands up and shakes his head and says ugh these people I usually love this place, but wow what the disrespect I received from the manager himself was shocking. Alejandro your service was so disappointing, thank you for not even apologizing, even when I had to see you again at the window and pay for my order. I will not be returning! We did not have a good experience and the food was horrible! I been trying to find a decent Mexican food place we read the reviews and thought why not! They seem like it would be good. We walked in at first it seemed nice. When we were sat they brought us chips and salsa.well I m all about a good salsa and that broke for me. They did not have any spicy or good flavor. But we seen other people plate coming out and thought or their food looks good why not. My wife order what they called the devil shrimp it s supposed to be spicy and I ordered a cheese enchilada with beans and rice. Well my wife s plate was not spicy at all and the flavor was not there we know how the plate is supposed to taste and no was there at all. My cheese enchilada was not good either i felt like I got a rolled up quesadilla with cheese on top no sauce. I took a bit and said nope. Then I tried the rice and beans, beans were decent but the rice was not good it was hard and did not taste like Mexican rice. I looked at my wife and both said no. So I called our sever which that was another thing he was not a good server we kept having to asked other serves that were around if we wanted anything. Finally I flagged him down asked for our checks and he gave it to us. Mind you we still had lots of food on our plates which are in the picture I m posting and didn t ask if we wanted our food to go or if everything was okay nothing. So we go up front to pay even the lady looked at our table and saw we left our plates pretty full but didn t offer anything else or even ask us anything. She just took our payment and we went on our way. We paid for food we only took on on bite of. We were hungry but the food was gross and the service was horrible! We will definitely not be coming back. I could understand if maybe we ordered the wrong food they I would have maybe gave it another shot but the customer service was terrible!! I don t understand how they have a 4.1 review!

3/30/24. This might have been the best meal Ive had at this restaurant. Beef enchilada were excellent. Except for a few times during the pandemic every visit to this restaurant has been great.This was my first visit. I had the beef fajitas. Great food. Good service. Inviting atmosphere. 7/9/22. I had to lower my rating. The service was a bit slow and the food has gone down hill some. Wheelchair accessibility: Its a tight fit for wheel chairs but it works out ok. Ive been coming to Taqueria since September 2019 and the food is excellent but the reason I didnt give it 5 stars is because the customer service and attitude of the workers especially drive thru employees needs improvement. A lot of times I dont feel appreciated or welcomed... As much money as Ive spent at this restaurant you would think a valuable customer would get treated with the upmost respect. A lot of times Im getting treated like Im the enemy. Hopefully that changes in the near future. Vegetarian options: Taqueria needs more vegetarian dishes.

**UPDATE**: Unfortunately we did not have as great of an experience dining in this go around. Our server watched us clean off the table and then just stood there and didnt say anything after handing out the menus. She was just very awkward, maybe due to lack of experience? On our second round of drinks we ordered more margaritas and then one shot total. The bartender had to come ask us which shot were ordered and then I guess she just forgot to ring up our margaritas because they didnt come out. After we re-ordered them, my husband got a glass that still had lipstick on it (which happens) but when we brought it to her attention, she looked like she didnt believe us so I had to point it out, and then she was like ok let me go ask about it. And NO ONE took any of our dirty dishes off the table when we were clearly finished. They just piled up. We definitely wont be back on Saturday nights. **END OF UPDATE** My husband and I had a great time. Or server had a great personality but wasnt too much. Excellent service. Good margaritas, good food. Overall all great experience. We usually order from the drive thru, so it was nice to eat inside. We will definitely keep coming back!

Trash service! Bartender is not a Bartender! Gave us an attitude because she served drinks wrong! Carlos the on duty manager was a joke! Maybe he thought we couldnt afford it but it was the principal of having some sort of service towards their mistake! Our server was excellent his counterparts were trash! Dont go there!! It was better when they had people that had service experience! It is just deteriorating from when it was just ok!

I usually go to this restaurant it was one of my favorites. Although lately it has been lacking good customer service. Today we decided to give it another try. Wish we hadnt, we showed up around 2:30pm during happy hour. Let me just say drinks are NOT happy hour price. No big deal, but then the bartender was unprofessional & rude. She was loud and spoke badly of other customers. We heard talk amongst the tables and other customers complaining about the food and service, but we didnt look into it so much. Since we know the owners and this place was one of our favorite spots in the past. Will I go again? NO, Then the manager on duty, his name CARLOS, was also unprofessional, no customer service, and as we walked off. Carlos and his entire staff on duty, just laughed. Ive been to this taqueria many times. The staff is always friendly and the service is great. The food is okay, but to me, the restaurant has a weird smell. I use the drive-thru a lot. They make a really great breakfast burrito with a huge variety of ingredient choices.

My significant other and I have been here twice. The first time the service and the food was amazing! I had nothing negative to say about it the first time.. however we decided to go again tonight and we had her niece with us who is a child. The service was terrible. All of the workers were sitting in the front being loud and obnoxious, with the bartender as what seemed to be the ring leader egging it on. We also heard some profanity from a passing waitress which wasn t appreciated as we were with someone young. Food was good as usual but tonight just must have not been a good night to go.

So we ve ordered tacos here a few times. The food is a good quick meal however it s very inconsistent. Sometimes we order the chicken fajita tacos we get ground chicken and sometimes we get sliced chicken breast. Flavors haven t been consistent as well. Like I say good for a quick meal but I wouldn t order with any expectations based on any prior experiences. They do have great customer service but ONLY when you go inside. There are two parts to the drive through service.Placing your order is pleasant but paying for your order is the complete opposite.The customer service is dry, rushed and not the most welcoming.This time I tried the shredded chicken and Hubby got the fajita chicken.

I want to give the food 5 stars because I love everything I have tried there, but the queso dip. It tastes like a bland mix from a can. We forgot and ordered it again and with additional salt and pepper it was salvageable. We still continue to go but will skip ordering the queso.

Couldn t give a review on the food because we never got served!! Hardly anyone in there at 11am, yet sat us down, and we sat there for 20 minutes with no waiter or waitress to take our order. Helped the table behind us but the waiter never came to us. We got up and walked out and no one tried to ask us anything!!! Very VERY POOR SERVICE!!!! Will never recommend this place ever! Do not! As in NOT!!! Order their cheese, nachos. Two tortillas fried with a glob of cheddar cheese. It was hard as a rock chewy. It absolutely sucked. In addition, I was very specific on my order. I had a great experience here. The waitresses were kind and helpful. Their talked are cute and I didnt have to wait at all to be seated. The food was wonderful, and so was my lemonade (though my friends pineapple agua fresca was not so great, apparently). The prices were really good, its like they didnt change them since pre-pandemic!
