We came with a party of 6 people and expected a bit of a wait since it was a Saturday night but the overall experience was awful. The front desk isnt cross-trained, and can only do one task. So if someone is missing from the front desk you may not be able to get proper assistance. The order system on the website is a pain in the ass. Its confusing and frustrating. You can order from a server, but there isnt enough staff overall so service is delayed and unorganized. We finally got an order placed and someone came by to take a bar order, but it took a long time for the food and drinks to even start coming out. 5 of us got our food and waters/soda roughly at the same time but 1 order still didnt come. We asked 3 different servers to check on the food and only 1 came back to give us an update and bring their drink. When he finally got his food it was the wrong order (they did comp it for us). The bar drinks didnt come until most of us had finished and one of the drinks was wrong. The bartender with pink hair was a bit rude when we asked her about the drink and disappeared. We finally got the correct drink after waiting about 10min. After everyone finished eating we decided to throw axes. We started with a short axe but a few of us were having trouble so we asked for an axe with a longer handle. We did get both axes and the gentleman who helped us set up the game was friendly. We were having an issue with the left side of the board, it was harder than the right side and 2 of us were doing a test hit on the left side to see if what parts were good. The manager came by and was upset with us. We agreed to stop and continue throwing but a few minutes later the second axe was confiscated. However the 2 other parties had 2 axes and one had 3 so we were a bit upset. Overall Im very disappointed with the service. This place seems like a fun place and is really nice to have in Killeen instead of driving out of town, but I dont think well be back again.

Went for a casual event with a larger group of people. The staff was very friendly & attentive. The burgers and fries were delicious & hot. We loved the self serve beer tap as well. We did not get a chance to do the escape rooms but hope to next time we visit! I hope this business does well.

The biggest issue I have with this place. Is the ridiculous requirement to have to open a tab for everything in here. As a result of this practice. There was mishandling/incorrect manner in which they tried to put my card in the system. Instead of just opening a tab they charged our food and drinks to it. I didnt have the total amount on the card, but it was the only physical card i had on me. Had they said it would preautorize or put a hold for the total of your initial pirchase that opened the tab. I would have transfered money over. Which i was planning to do when we went to close tabs i was going to move money over from my actual bank. They didnt tell me it was saying insufficient funds though. So i told them to keep trying it. They just said it was saying card error. As a result, my cards been locked out and it unfortunately is my business card. So, im screwed until the issue is resolved on their end(Gambit social). As Square says it needs to be canceled by the charging party. Here i just drove all the way to Round Rock to get an order of parts for my work week from my supply house. Just to be told my entire account has been froze for fraud suspician. All because this place tried to run my card 15 times. The place itself: The staff was friendly and the place is very clean and theres a fair amount to do. However, the margaritas? 14$ and come in a martini glass. Good luck finding a decent flavor. The automatically add 18% for tips on groups of 8 or more. Whether its 4 seperate groups of 2 or not. Each person tab gets the 18% tack on. My wife got a burger, fries with a deep Eddies and sprite. I got the nache fries, and a margarita. Our total was $67 and thats not including the cost to do stuff in there on top of that. For what this place is. Theres better options that dont drain your pocket. With better food and bigger selection of adult beverages. Definitely a place that doesnt require a tip for self serving beer machines.

Eric, Alex, Caleb had excellent customer service. We were able to order with any waiter. The upscale ambiance and decor of this place are breathtaking.We didn t do the beer experience. The food and cocktails were good and had a bar experience. The games are entertaining and enjoyable. I highly recommend to go during happy hour to try it out.

Service was great! Came and checked on us all the time. The ordering experience was interesting to say the least. You have to scan a code at your table and place the order. But they also had menus if you asked for it. The spicy chicken sandwich was amazing! Plenty of fun activities to do as well. Don t go here to expect a traditional dining in experience. It s more of a fun game scene and a cool place to hang out. Love it here and will definitely be back for some more fun and to try out the escape room!

NOT WORTH THE TRIP! My gf and I just wanted to step out and have a few cocktails to catch up on life. Customer service was few and far between. The ordering was done by scanning a QR code but the alcohol/drinks were ordered through your server. There were a few large groups but I saw lots of staff just walking around and not even socializing with guests. I kept looking for ours so we can ask for various things but they were nowhere to be found. We waited 30 minutes for ice water (ordered via QR code) and I finally tracked down our server for two glasses. I had one $15 cocktail which wasn t tasty nor did it taste like it had alcohol. It was pretty though. We called it quits after trying the house nachos (which a 10 y/o could make) and the Chef s wings. The chicken wasn t seasoned once you ate past the sauce. Unfortunately, Gambit Social House won t get a repeat customer out of me. I have the venue a 2-star for the ambiance and the pretty cocktails.

I will start this review by explaining why I gave 2 stars. This place does not have a very good setup. When you walk in you have to start your first tab but that tab is just to get beer at the self serve tap. I will get into detail on the beer later in the review. Then you go to the bar and have to open another tab for cocktails and food. This means they ask you to tip two times when it s you getting yourself drinks. The self serve beer idea seemed pretty cool on the outside looking in. You grab a glass and scan your card linked to your first tab to start pouring. My first pour was nothing but foam and my bill already approached 5$. I decided to give it a minute and try again with the same results. I was left with this beer that I couldn t fill up and a 6.80$ bill. Outrageous. How a business can ask for a tip for self severe beer is beyond me but after you close your beer tab they do. The food was mediocre at best. It tasted exactly how it looked in the picture and I ll leave it at that. Everything in this place costs money. We decided to play darts but that was almost 17$ for one hour. After one game we decided to leave. Can t imagine how much the axe throwing costs. Can t recommend this place.

From the moment we walked in the staff was beyond friendly. We met Kaitlyn, one of the owners, and Benji. They were so kind and helpful and willing to go above and beyond. We came to celebrate our anniversary and everyone that interacted with us wished us a happy anniversary! We didn t eat because we came for an escape room and had eaten prior to arrival, but, all the food coming out of the kitchen looked amazing. Especially the mac and cheese!!!! The beer tap wall is such a fun and unique idea. The three beers I had were excellent and hubby loved his old fashioned. They have lot of games you can rent for the night and that is so fun! Outdoor patio games are free and also looked fun. We thoroughly enjoyed the murder at the mansion escape room! We will for sure be back for more fun and will bring our kids (before 9pm) next time. For all you haters saying there s nothing to do in Killeen/Heights, get your butt here and check it out. There s stuff to do, you re just looking in the wrong places. I had a good time here with my wife last night. It s got a nice atmosphere. My wife and I did axe throwing, darts, & had food. I did think the darts were a bit expensive for what it was. So I dropped a star for prices of some of the activities. The food was phenomenal and fairly priced. Regarding all the reviews saying the food is bad I don t know what those people are smoking. The food was superb! I really liked it. I wouldn t recommend bringing kids as there is a good amount of alcohol and not a kid friendly kind of environment. We would have done outdoor stuff, but it was just too hot. It a nice place to go for a date or just a night out with friends. I d go back.

My wife and I were here in a date night. We had a good time and shared a good meal. Pros: Great atmosphere, friendly staff, good selection of drinks, prompt service, and plenty of things to do if you have the time. Excellent attitude from everyone who we encountered. Which was almost everyone except Candy and the kitchen staff. We literally met everyone else. Great to see Katelyn. Cons: a little heavy on the salt, small selection of salad dressing, and too much interaction from staff. I was definitely welcome here but interrupting a conversation with my wife and I is a little off.

Although I didnt like the fact so much, foam would collect then beer to be charged until satisfied. Its not a place for a family setting. First time here . Been wanting to check this place out and it did not disappoint. We booked an escape room. It was so much fun. Then after we were given a tour of the place, inside and out. Decided to stay and have a beer from the huge selection on the beer wall. You have to go to the front entrance to show ID and get a wristband for 21+. We sat a table and scanned a code and ordered food online. We chose the pretzel , chicken tenders , and the trio of different fries. All was good!!! Pretzel was huge. Nice looking place, clean, but lets be honest, this place is crazy expensive. 5 dollars to rent a box of UNO cards. You can buy a deck for that much. Our waitress was cooky as all hell. We ordered burgers and I asked do the burgers come with fries or anything, she said no and talked us into ordering a 16 dollar batch of fries. Which was not even close to worth it, but the kicker is the burgers come with homestyle chips. So why try to sell me on ordering 16 dollar fries. Next she brings me the bill before before we even get our food and tells me I need to order more since Im paying with Cash,,,,bizarre. We ordered 3 burgers, the fountain of fries, 2 drinks and a pretzel for a 110 dollars. No thanks. The escape rooms were 35.99 a person, at this time you might as well just go to Khalahari and put the money to better use.

Five of us went out for some adult fun and it was our first time here. Moth greeted us as we came through the doors and his excitement bleed into us. We were all pumped up and even more excited as he went over the guidelines for the escape room we were doing, (which was his favorite). We were even able to escape our room with 5 mins to spare as our hint giver was amazing, (unfortunately, I cant remember her name). The atmosphere at Gambit was also incredible! Its very nicely decorated and spacious and all the staff were very friendly even our axe-throwing instructor, (he took pity on a couple of us and hung around for pointers). Two of us were visiting from out of state but wed definitely come back the next time were in TX.

Came here with a couple friends on a Friday night. We ordered some drinks and apps. The fry flight was good, but the nachos were not. The outdoor space is beautiful! We wanted to play board games, but they charge $5 to rent them. Not a fan of that. If anything, make it a deposit and when you return the game you get your money back. The game choices were very slim so we opted not to spend the $5 to play games. Also, don t expect to spend a late night here - they are supposed to close at 2am but just after 12 they told us they were doing last call because they were closing early.

Came for a good burger with tasty brisket. What I got was Ian overcooked smash burger thinner than a quarter and brisket so dry it wasnt edible. I dont know where the pictures are from but isnt an accurate depiction of the food thats served. We came at noon so theres no reason for dry brisket and overcooked smash burgers. My husband has the mushroom swiss burger. Again got an overcooked extra thin smash burger. The waffle fries he ordered with his meal had some sort of flavoring on them that was not pleasant and made them taste very greasy. We also tried the nachos that were disappointing. Al of the queso was under the chips saturated in crema. The GIANT pretzel was a hit with my husband. Not a restaurant experience Ill be repeating. Hugely disappointing. If you want a beer wall, escape room, or axe throwing go and enjoy it. If youre looking for good food, look elsewhere.

So my stepdaughter came down a week after Fathers Day so she could take her father out. So sat she called wanting to take him to the Gambit House where they threw axes So we all end up coming and having a great time. They have all different types of games there, plus you can bring your own. They have axe throwing and escape room, and they have a huge back patio with four sets of corn hurling. They also sell gor liquor and they have a beer wall. Wanted to say thank you to Tyree he was very thorough at explaining everything. Too bad I suck at Axe, throwing I couldnt hit that darn thing!! Lets talk about the people everyone was friendly and kind we met a couple while there and played corn hurl. I suck at that too lol the gentleman said I almost threw his eye out lol not really just a really bad thrower In all we had a blast thanks to Tony and Jamie. We will definitely be back again

Awesome place, great food, love the beer wall. Servers were super nice too. Only issue was that the music was way too loud for the short event we were attending-- multiple people asked for it to be turned down (or ideally off), just for 10-15 minutes during a couple award presentations, but that wasnt an option? And so most people missed the majority of what was said, even with the microphone. Wed love to continue hosting monthly small events there, but the loud music defeats the purpose of the event.

Each time Ive visited, my card is charged for at least one tab that isnt mine. I overlooked the first two instances because they were just opening and the charge was 1) nominal and 2) dropped off my account after 3 to 5 days Gabmit offers POS-managed tabs along with customer-managed online Toast payments. In my experience, at least, the POS charges dont seem to reconcile. I still recommend checking this place out, but consider paying in cash and/or asking for receipts.

I ve been so excited about the idea of Gambit since hearing about it. I was going to give it a one star review after seeing a bartender use her MOUTH to open a bottle. That act turned me off from the whole experience but since this place is new I ll give all my thoughts. 1. Food was pretty good. The prices were higher than expected. $2.00 to add onions to a burger making it $19.00z $1.00 for each side of sauce. We did take advantage of half price apps during happy hour though! 2. Beer wall is a cool feature but again, pricey. When leaving, I asked the host how to close out and she told me to drop my beer wall card in one of the provided boxes. Thankfully, I took a second glance at the boxes because they were labeled with drop card here to leave a x% tip with options of 10/15/20%. It felt deceptive that she told me to just drop the card and didn t mention the automatic tips associated with each drop box. I am always happy to tip, but tipping on a beer wall that I poured myself on top of tipping my server seems excessive. 3. Everyone was very nice but overly attentive. You use a QR code to order yourself from your table and then a server brings out your meal. Between ordering for ourselves and the food being brought, we had someone at our table talking to us every 3 minutes - no exaggeration. Once the food came out, again we had multiple stopping by to check. Had a date night with my husband. Very nice atmosphere and they played a mix of genre music. The food was delicious and the drinks were too. My husband got the bacon burger and I got the hot chicken sandwich. I also tried the drink steam queen and my husband used the beer wall. The prices are $11 and above for food and the attractions depend on what you want to do. The patio is also nice. The only negative I have to say is the customer service is overwhelming. I went in expecting pizza. I guess I read the online menu wrong or that it had changed since I looked at it last. Arrival: they asked for IDs and then took us to our table. They then told me I couldn t have my water inside so I took it out to my car. Ordering: I m old school. I like a menu and a traditional style of ordering. If you are all into the modern appeal of things then this may be the place for you. We had to scan a QR code to order. To get on the beer tab, you had to go to the host to get on a separate tab. As our food came and we got needy, the service got sparse. We did hear back from our original server as we were picking at the last bit of our meal. My friend and I wanted to try this place out. Heard great things. We ordered nachos and the pretzel. The pretzel was delicious and a great good size. The nachos were $14 and the portion was WAY too small. The beer wall was a neat feature however for someone sitting down eating, it s inconvenient to have to open a separate tab and to keep getting up to get beer. I think the nachos should be less in cost or double in size. I also think there should be options for those just eating to be able to order beer off the menu and have it served. We had a reservation outside since it was a night where it wasn t too hot. Inside looked so nice, but the outside was lacking the same atmosphere. The staff sat us down quickly, but we waited 15 minutes and then went inside to find someone to serve us. We were completely forgotten since we sat outside. Once we got our food we got the chicken wings, flight o fries, and nachos. The chicken wings and fries were really good, but the nachos was over priced for what it was. About the outside seating. There were spiders on the outside seatings. I got bit 6 times all over my body. They do not have anything to prevent the bugs from biting you. No lights outside where you can see. They put a spot lamp outside and that was barely enough light for people to play corn hole. I wish it had sting lights and maybe some fire pit to repel the bugs. Over all, my experience here was a 2. The best part was the food. The service and atmosphere for what it s supposed to be was not impressive.

After months of seeing this place, it finally opened and we heard good things about it. It took us a few weeks but we decided to bring our aunt and uncle out to try out Gambit Social House. We were greeted quickly when we entered and were given a good rundown of what to expect and what they provide. We walked the area a bit to find out where we wanted to sit and was greeted a second time by someone offering a quick tour. Lots of options for entertainment from the escape rooms to axe-throwing to cornhole (played outdoors) and rentable board games. Tonight, our goal was to try out the food. The menu is accessed via your smartphone and your order is placed that way. The negative to that is that is the loss of human interaction. I would urge you not to close out your tab (an option when ordering) as I accidentally hit something that ordered an extra drink which cant be returned or credited. The menu is a little limited but I expected a new place to open small and add as they grow. My wife and aunt both ordered the Garden Club Salad which they enjoyed. My uncle grabbed the Bacon Burger which looked beautiful and he wolfed it down. I went for the Hot Chicken Sandwich. My imagination led me to think burger bun and not hoagie roll which led me to removing a few items but it was good. The french fries, although minimal, were exceptional. So, I would definitely suggest this as a night out for light fare, drinks and playtime. The menu issue doesnt allow the servers to shine but there is a lot of potential. We will have to return to play a little more in the future.

This place was definitely worth the wait! We were excited to see a new place opening with escape rooms and this place didn t disappoint. It s great for you and/or your family! We tried the Chili Cheese Fries which were delicious, a lighter chili sauce that came deconstructed to guarantee the perfect ratio and consistency with each bite. They will also bring what tasted like housemade ranch dressing upon request, also a pleasant and distinctive taste. We sat to eat before trying out the Escapology Scooby Doo themed escape room. I went on the grand opening and there were some challenges here and there, but nothing that wasnt forgivable. Theyre still working out the kinks. I expect drinks to be a little pricey not going to a traditional bar so not a huge issue, my biggest problem was the escape room. There were non functional puzzles, busted game pieces, waiting for 2-3 minutes after hitting the button for a clue, and a game master that cant have been playing attention. Multiple puzzles had the correct solution when entered, more than once, but we couldnt progress. Overall a very disheartening experience, especially for 85$ for the room. this place is a great, fun place for family and friends to really get to enjoy themselves with games, food, drinks and more!!!! The Killeen, HH area has been needing a place like this for a long time and its finally here!!! I enjoyed having fun with my friends here and the food and drinks were delicious . this is definitely our now Go-to spot for a great time!! see you guys at the Grand opening on Friday. I rate this place 10 Stars
