Absolutely the most perfect place to have a wedding! Rita and her family helped make the wedding planning process easy for us. From the rental room to spacious reception area to the beautiful trees around the property this venue truly has it all. All our guest loved the fire pit area for s mores that made our cocktail area unique. Under the Wildwood will always have a special place in our hearts. My husband and I had our wonderful little wedding at Under the Wildwood. Its such a gorgeous location, quiet, and perfect for celebrations. Very spacious, inside and out! I especially liked the fact that Rita already has decor for guests to use, so it saved us some cash for the wedding. All in all, the venue is a perfect place to have a classic country wedding and I couldnt have been happier!

My husband and I just had our wedding here and we got so many compliments on this beautiful venue. Not only is the venue amazing but the owner, Rita, is so helpful and makes sure that you have the best day!! Our guest loved being able to hangout inside with the DJ and outside with the fire pit!! If you re looking for a beautiful and rustic venue, then Under The Wildwood is your go to place!! The Harmon s are amazing and this venue was absolutely stunning. We have waited to have our wedding here for 3 years due to a surprise baby, and the Covid-19 pandemic. Rita and David were completely understanding with us having to postpone multiple times and did everything that they could to make our wedding day The Best Day EVER! We will definitely be using this venue in the future for anniversary and birthday parties. It seriously is nothing shy of spectacular!!

I would not have picked this place for my wedding, but my friend did. If you want a country wedding this is the place for you. Its about and hour drive outside DFW if you are the Dallas side if the metroplex. There is no restroom or sink in the grooms room, so if you are the groom or a groomsman be prepared to run up and down the stairs if you need to use the restroom or need to wash your hands.

My wife and I had our wedding at Under The Wildwood. Rita made planning a small wedding in two months easy going. She was responsive and accommodating to our needs. She answered all of our questions and made us feel like we were in good hands. Her preferred vender list was excellent. We hired Morgan as our photographer, Cindy as our bartender, Sara as our makeup artist, and we had Soulmans BBQ for our reception. Every person that was there was awesome and made everything go smoothly for us. We couldnt have asked for a better wedding. The venue was absolutely beautiful and tended to our needs. We will cherish our special day for the years to come. We highly recommend having your wedding at Under The Wildwood!

I had the wonderful opportunity to bring my floral arrangements to this gorgeous venue!! Wow! Ive delivered and set up for quite a few weddings at multiple venues, but this one stole my heart! One of the owners was present the entire time, always smiling, and helping in any way she could. I had my grandson with me and the owner was fabuloys with him. She took him on the golfcart to the pond to fish and feed the fish and she paid such kind attention to him. Aside from the personal reflections, this venue is just the most welcoming and heart-warming venue Ive been to. I hope I have the opportunity to go back! I will definitely be recommending Under the Wildwood to brides!!!

I love, love, loved this venue!! It was super spacious and had an elegant country theme. I had compliments from a ton of my guests saying what a nice place it was. Plenty of space for dancing! Running my own bartending business I see alot of wedding venues. Last night I was on the other side as mother of the bride. I absolutely love Under The Wildwood! Rita and David are amazing people and have a beautiful venue. I cant say enough good things about this venue. From the outdoor ceremony area with yall trees and benches to the sliding barn doors and huge reception area, its just AMAZING! Beautiful wedding venue. We attended a wedding there recently and if you are looking for something off the beaten path with out door bench seating, this is your ticket. Beautiful enormous French doors greet you into the reception hall. Detail crafting with shiplap look throughout. If your looking for that old world feel meets new world fair, then this is perfect for you.

Initial Impression: my now-husband and I were drawn to the venue, although an hour from my home, because of 1) a book-before-construction-completion deal and 2) Ritas open vendor policy (no buyout fee necessary!). We visited the mostly bare structure in November, hoped that it would eventually bear some semblance to Ritas vision, and were swept away in March at how lovely Under the Wildwood turned out to be. Although the couple minutes before arriving at the venue are filled with wary thoughts of where along this bumpy road sandwiched by houses and trees could a wedding barn exist, one is met, upon turning in, with a gorgeous barn structure adjacent a lush outdoor ceremony area. Outdoor: Rita and her family hand-built the wooden pews used for outdoor ceremonies, and the cobblestone path from the building to the altar area is wonderful. (A word of caution: if you choose to wear 4-inch stilettos on your wedding day as I did, walk. slowly. down. that. path.) Ritas dedication to leave nature as untouched as possible not only transports guests to the woods but also keeps your celebration well-separated from neighbors. Also outdoors are rustic tables constructed from barrels, doors, and vintage furniture, and a fire pit is open for usage if desired. (Outdoor outlets are available, and Rita provided the needed 200 feet of extension cord for our DJ.) Indoor: Upon entering the front doors, a flight of stairs to your left leads up to a charming bride room with pickled wood walls to beautifully contrast a white dress in photos. A bathroom, mirrors, pillowed benches, chairs, and hooks on which to hang dresses are available., and even a curtain to create a sectioned-off dressing room is installed. Stairs to the right of the entrance lead to a white-walled grooms room with dominoes, cards, and sturdy chairs. Immediately past the stairs are two bathrooms, each clean, well-stocked, and accommodating enough that not once did I see a line for the bathroom. If your guests wilt under the Texan heat, rest assured that the venues consistently powerful air conditioning will keep them cool all night long, no matter your guest count and no matter how frenzied the dance floor. (Ceiling fans are also available.) The main room interior is entirely transformable depending on guest count, table need (the farm tables built by Rita and her family are gorgeous and need very little decoration), DJ and bar location, etc. Lighting is ample and dim-able, provided by string bulbs, sconces, windows, doors, and a massive-yet-tasteful chandelier. We seated 150+ guests at 6 to a table, and that left enough room for a dance floor that held buffet tables and line, a DJ setup, a bar, a cake table, lots of space to walk around in, and 100 people simultaneously killing the Cupid Shuffle. In one corner of the room is a wine bar that can accommodate at least three bartenders, and in the other is a kitchen with steel tables, a deep freezer, a fridge, sinks, and a microwave. If youre bringing enough Chick-Fil-A to feed 150 people, as we did, room and outlets to plug in warmers for 2 1/2 hours are ample. Parking: Rita and her helpers directed parking for us so as to effectively use the space. Although the parking area seems small, our carpooling guests only used up around 2/3 of the provided ground. Vendors: Open vendor policy, but Rita has a list of recommendations, which is super helpful if youre not from the area! LASTLY... Rita and David were wonderful to work with. From December until May, they strove to communicate clearly with us, answered all questions, e-mails, texts, and calls; they are transparent, helpful, keep you updated on any changes, and sincerely strive to make your wedding day as wonderful as possible. I was able to drop off and set up decorations the night before to save myself several hours of day-of work. Our guests raved about the gorgeous location, understanding as soon as they pulled in why we chose a location in Greenville over something substantially closer yet smaller and pricier in Dallas.
