We have been to this multiple times, and its always amazing! Dress warm, but in layers so you can experience everything comfortably. They offer so many activities for kids and families. The photo ops are amazing, and the Gaylord itself is so beautiful! It can be a bit pricey, but they offer discounts on Groupon and earlier in the year when they start promoting the event. This is not just for kids! I went one year as a date, and we had a blast. I highly recommend going to this at least once!

The ice sculptures were so beautiful and also so silly because the theme this year was How the Grinch stole Christmas. Loved seeing the huge ice sculptures up close in a cold environment. Be sure to bring an extra jacket and some extra stuff like gloves and hat because its will be very cold inside. My main gripe is that there were too many people inside to move and appreciate the ice. Some lines had to form in order for people take pics in front of our beloved Grinch. The gift shop at the end was also selling some affordable winter Grinch merch! The two Grinch plushies were both around $14 Also be prepared for $40 parking but there is discounted parking around $25 if youre willing to walk a little further

I recommend this place for families. You need pay extra for the parking from $25 to $45. They rented parking lots around the Gaylord. Once you are in the parking lot, they have free transportation to the Gaylord. If you want to go to the ICE sculpture s you need to buy the tickets in advance online, same for the others attraction.

It was absolutely beautiful! Although it was a tad bit overpriced we had fun and it was everything we expected it to be. The only reason why I didn t give it a 5 star review is because of the drinks! The alcoholic beverages are WAYYYYY overpriced and they charge a processing fee if you pay with a card. My drink came out to $22 and it was pure poison. I took 2 sips and threw it away. The hot chocolate was disgusting and was around the same price as a tall hot chocolate from Starbucks PLUS a processing fee (btw it was disgusting and salty) So take it from me and skip all drinks!!!

We were there on Christmas. The room included a build-a-bear shop, a carousel, some snow tubing lanes, an ice rink, a place where you could build snow balls and throw them at a target. Maybe more. Food and drink was just outside. This is all inside the hotel. Lines were long for the snow tubing, but the tickets included as many trips up and down as you want. The hotel itself was beautifully decorated for Christmas, including lots of poinsettia. We also saw the holiday circus show - very good - and did the escape room. We didnt go in to the ice sculptures.

An absolute ripoff of huge proportions this year (2023). The grinch themed exhibit is very, very short. Our estimate has it at half the size of The Polar Express in (2022). They raised all their prices, are adding an 18% service charge before tax to every single purchase made, and are still packing so many people in that it s too overcrowded to enjoy. We had a discount and still paid over $50 per ticket, $40 for parking, $20 for a drink inside, $4.50 for a can of soda, etc. Despite all the overcrowding and slow movement through the exhibit, it still only took under 15 minutes to see the entire thing and less than 45 minutes from entering at our assigned time to exiting the gift shop.

I went to the ICE event on 12/30/23 with my two sons ages 7 and 2 when this belligerent drunk (picture attached) started YELLING in my face infront of my 2 young kids less than 2 feet away from staff at the entrance of the ICE event. The group she came with had to literally pull her off of me that s how close she was yelling in my face. She also bumped into my 7 year old while she was yelling in my face. I m appalled that NO ONE stepped in from the staff there at Gaylord to remove her from the event or at the very LEAST move her away from me and my children for our safety. The only person there that stepped in to help and defend me and my kids was a complete stranger standing in front of us in line. There is no way the staff did not hear the altercation and I honestly should have called the cops and made a police report but was in complete shock at the whole situation and was just worried about nothing further happening to traumatize my kids. She completely ruined our experience and my kids were crying because they were terrified she was about to hurt me infront of them. PLEASE train your staff next time they hear an altercation especially when there are very young children involved to intervene and remove the threat. Ridiculous.

For the amount we paid, I expected more. They even charged for parking If you aren t to use to the cold, better layer up. It does tell you that it s 9 degrees in there. Some small small children while we were there, couldn t take it and had to leave. I don t think they got their money back for it. Everything cost money in the Christmas village prior to entering. They also had a lot of people going at one time. This made it longer as lines of people were inside in the cold waiting to see and move.

PSA: this is a walk-through attraction, NOT a show! Also: the alcohol that they offer is a sugary, watered-down option of either an old-fashioned or a margarita - THAT IS IT. Everything about Christmas at the Gaylord is ridiculously overpriced for what you get. It s pretty, but freezing cold. My family and I received a Groupon as a gift and still ended up spending several hundred dollars between attractions, drinks, and a couple pretzel bites.

I have always enjoyed Gaylord lights during Christmas seasons. However, with the expensive parking fee of $27, they removed the outdoor lights, which was the best thing we liked the most. This year, they added lots of kids attractions, like slides and Mary go round, and want families to pay high price for those games. Very disappointing setup, as the Company just want to make more money.

I saw that my children had to queue up again after playing once. many people queued up once an hour to play, and then queued up from the beginning after coming down. I dont understand, which means that I only played twice in two hours. I saw that there were insiders who didnt need to line up, and the staff said that because they were hotel guests. And we are the guests who bought tickets that day, which I feel very unfair. Open one side of the way is not our problem, but it takes us a lot of time.

Sculptures are made by extremely talented people, but even after 50% discount, it is still not worth the money. The parking is extremely overpriced; there is a premium parking for $40 + tax, and normal parking is hidden further down the road intentionally ($25 + tax). This is Manhattan level prices, just to park for usually only 30-45 minutes; since that is how long it takes to go through the ice sculptures. These fixed rates are terrible. The tickets themselves are also overpriced, and I recommend using discount codes from online. This experience is purely a photo opportunity, since booking activities are also overpriced ($30 per person!) and there are no discounts for those. Overall, if you are looking to have a fun afternoon with your family, I would not recommend this.

It was really good this year as always, kind of shorter than you would expect it to be. But the Grinch looked really goofy and so did all of the whos which I felt like if you look at yesterdays or yesterday years. Rather if you look into the yes, if you look into the past things they just all pretty much looked better. Im not going to lie. This is it should have been Jim Carreys the Grinch. It was anything but anyway, yes you know its definitely just one of those moments where you start looking at things and you realize that youre no longer the child. You know childhood is gone away and you know ice used to be one of those things that when youre a kid was beautiful. It was a beyond your imagination you were. How can they make so much stuff out of ice and in color it too. But as an adult you see I sing you just think. Wow! I just paid $100 to come to ice and you know what it is a bunch of ice and if I wanted to go get ice I have a refrigerator that makes it at home and you know if I wanted to see more ice I just go to Alaska or another cold climate or wait until February where it gets cold enough for ice to form. But anyways you know its fun. It was if you have kids bring a kids if you have an adult to bring your adult, just know that youll never get that amazing. Wonder that you did when you were a kid unless youve never ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever ever been to an ice before. And Im not talking about ice like the you know the people who take away the immigrants Im talking about like ice like not like diamonds but like ice like at the Gaylord because youre the gaylord. But if you werent the gaylord youd have to stay at the Gaylord. And also if you want to eat food from the Gaylor apparently you have to stay at the Gaylord. But anyways this is it. This is my review. I recommend ice

Even with the parka, you will be cold; dress to combat the freezing temperatures. Be prepared to pay for parking around $40. They have snacks and hot chocolate available (if interested, prepare to spend about $10-15 per person). On top of ICE you will get the benefit of the beautiful holiday scenery at the Gaylordc(unmatched). Great picture opportunities, santa pictures and the light show. The staff are always accommodating. The ICE itself is good and they do a great job with the sculptures but it s insanely crowded. there s no crowd control in place at all. Couldn t even really enjoy the exhibit because of it.

Nothing compared to what it use to be. They dont tell you parking is separate at $43!!!!! It was over crowded inside. This use to be a great event to attend but now they overcrowd the inside, charge a crazy amount and give you half an exhibit. This is at t least my 3rd ice over the past 20 years and definitely disappointed this time.

ICE isnt want it used to be. It was much more crowded and hard to see the ice sculptures. You spend the whole time trying not to run into people and peeking over shoulders to see the sculptures. Also the parking is shameful. I was surprised to see that the $25 parking was a mile away with a shuttle bus to and from. If we are doing that, it should be free. This made many people pay the $40 parking garage fee. $40 to park for a 15 minute event that we already paid a lot of money for. And there was no email or information about the parking change. The tickets keep going up in price, the parking has gone up in price, and the event has gotten much more crowded.

Too crowded to see everything! Too many people taking selfies at every exhibit. What I saw was beautiful though.

Visited after Christmas. It was still super packed, with parents letting children run wild, putting their hands all over the ice sculptures. The sculptures themselves were pretty cool, but being packed in like sardines to see them, not so much. The ice bar also only offered 2 options which were not announced at the time the tickets were sold online.

Its okay...worth visiting at least once! Do take warm clothes...my ear tips hurt due to that icy coldness so i recommend wearing the wollen cap or ear muffs if you have it.

i went ice skating there, it was really fun but they closed it in the middle of us skating so we had a 20 minute break but we got back on so it was pretty fun.
