I used to live in Austin, and one of the reasons I moved to the DFW area was because of Christmas in Grapevine! I cant wait for Christmas 2024.

What a beautiful place to spend the day! Train station & icecream! The grounds are exemplary! Spectacular place for date night btw!!! I would highly recommend the $3 elevator ride to the top of the TOWER! The views are amazing (and windy)!! Then, sit out back around a fire or lawn chair and enjoy a cup of coffee with friends/family Such a cool place with gorgeous views.

Overall, one of the better experiences in Grapevine plus the area is good. The food options arent the best, but if you here to meet with a group and tour the area, that will add to the enjoyment. I would also suggest the Christmas time if you plan to come as they decorate beautifully. Added bonus if theres music!

I enjoyed the experience of going up the Grapevine Observation Tower. The inside is cool to grab a bite; they got a variety of selection and a lot of tables plus clean restrooms. There was a Bahamas Buck Shaved Ice Trailer parked outside, so I ordered myself a Cherry with Vanilla Scoop of Ice Cream since it was outside 100 degrees. If I ever go back, I want to try the Pizza by Liugi.

Main Street Fest. Initially went to support a friend playing on Main Stage (Save Ferris 80s tribute band). They killed it! Beautiful day to be out and about. Fest was well organized and they didn t gouge you on food coupons. Chamber of Commerce had awesome funnel cake fries! Great spin on the traditional treat. Although I ve visited Main Street many times found a few new discoveries, the farmers market store and Chocolate Hangover, and JudyPie. Main Street in general is a wonderful place to spend some time just moseying down the road and stopping in all the quaint, unique shops.

Honest Review: We had a great time up until the end. As most do in Grapevine, we spent the afternoon hopping from winery to winery for my wife s birthday. We had a nice dinner at Dino s with plans to visit the speak easy within the hotel around 10pm. It was important to make sure we showed up for our reservation at the speak easy because a $50 no show fee would be included if we didn t. As our reservation time approached we signed in where we were supposed to sign in and we were told shortly after we wouldn t be allowed access due to intoxication levels. I understood that completely knowing fully well how much my wife celebrated for her birthday. I was not upset or irrational but I did ask for confirmation we would not be charged the $50 no show fee. I didn t receive the confirmation I requested from the person leading us to the speak easy so I asked for confirmation at the front desk. After asking the front desk clerk they asked me and my wife to wait in the lobby which seemed odd since all I wanted was a confirmation. Moments later, the same clerk and a police officer approached me and my wife in the lobby. At this time we still never received any real confirmation we would not be charged. We were both treated like two belligerent individuals when in fact everything was fully controlled. The way the hotel staff handled the situation was humiliating. In summary, if you plan to drink and visit this hotel then please expect the staff to use police force to address any matters you have about billing.

Nice and somewhat unique shops. Clean and everyone seemed pleasant. Glass Blowing shop was quite nice. Everything was decorated for Christmas, lots of families and tons of shopping going on. Parking is a bit of an issue. Some were charging $20.00 to park. Keep looking, most parking is free and it only takes a few minutes to find a better location. Go a block off Main Street to find public parking lots.

We came to the Grapevine Main with no idea what to do. Brenda suggested we do the Observation Tour and it was a blast. The tour was very informative and we saw much of the sky around the city. Brenda was a great guide and I would recommend it again. She even charged my phone.

New building containing a hotel, food hall, visitors info desk, observation tower. Surrounded by a plaza and patios. Elements of classic architecture Italianate or Venician(?) and maybe Moorish and Persian. The tower looks like a wind scoop but doesn t function as one. The building is also a train station and that an old world feeling, but has some Texan rustic elements and murals. I ll call this style EuroTexaHambra.
