Really like Velvet Taco. Its a explosion of flavors in a small taco. Really tasty For Vegetarians - there are two options - Paneer and Tofu. also they have a beer fried Cauliflower , but have not tried that. Would definitely recommend Velvet Taco. Vegetarian options: Fried Paneer And Fried Tofu

I love me some velvet taco but what is up with the hospitality at this location?? LMAO like I understand yall are busy but some acknowledgement with be greatly appreciated especially for dine in guest. Firstly my order was sold to me incorrectly the cashier rung it in correct, but what is the point of expo checking the food if you are still going to give it to me with all the extra topping I did not want. And not sell me my order completely as well I had to wait for the manager after waiting for my tacos to be remade to call someone that was bussing the tables to slice me my velvet cake that I ordered the worst part is that she had gloves on and didnt remove them before serving me my slice YUCKkkkk This place is icky all together tables dirty, lemons at the drink station taste like onions. Im from out of town and this was my first time there. Customer service was top teir. They answered all of questions and I was happy with my choice. I went with the fish n chips taco. It was fresh and delicious. I also had the corn dip, frozen margarita swirl. I was stuff and took my red velvet cake to go!

Great service! If you re not from the area (or maybe if you are ) it s a tad pricey, $22 for four tacos after tax. But amazing food! Great service too! Vegans try the beer battered and Nashville tofu, beer battered was my favorite. You do have to remove a few things to make it vegan.

Yesterday night I stopped in at the Grapevine location to pick up a to go order of the spicy tikka chicken and when I get got home to eat it, the chicken was very overcooked. I am used to going to the dallas location and have been to others and never had this problem. The fusion of Mexican and Indian is always a hit, considering how similar a few dishes are between the two countries. The Spicy Tikka Chicken Tacos were top notch. The chicken was tender and juicy, coated with the Spicy Tikka Sauce that was heavenly. The spice was just right, and the moment you take a bite in, its a blast of flavors in the mouth. Ordered 9 tacos no spicy for the family after a flight and drove 30 minutes home to find that they gave us 8 tacos slathered in spicy sauce. We were not charged for the missing taco so the lady just didn t punch it in. The kids are tired and crying because they re hungry and it s too spicy and it would be ridiculous to drive back. The lady was incredibly difficult to order from. Came here based on recommendations and surprised to be disappointed. Also, their specialty hot sauce is really tapatio. Never going there again.

I placed order at 7:32pm. I picked up the order at the drive in window at 7:39. I was impressed that they had it ready so quickly until I bit into it and realized that it was room temperature at best. It appears as though they are Prepping preparing the food and allowing it to sit and wait until it is needed. So, it was nice that I was able to eat something because I was hungry but I was very disappointed that the food was not hot. The shrimp should have been hot so that you feel like that It was freshly cooked.

I have been fan of Velvet Taco and used to drive 28 miles to eat at the main location at Knox and Henderson. After original owners sold to VC company, things are changing very fast including portions and prices. Portions are going small and prices have gone up by 50%. Had several times issues with people working at Grapevine location and finally writing this review as this is not how service works. After messing up with my order which was to be made with lettuce cups, guys made it with flour tortillas. Went to the counter twice to inform about the order being made wrong, one at the time pick up and again 10 minutes after to have them fix and give me my correct order. Instead of giving new taco, guy said bring me back old taco and I will give you new one. Well I had to tell the guy, I told you to fix the order at the time of pickup which he didnt, went there again, no taco and then he asked me to bring back wrong taco so I asked him to make correct taco and bring to my table and pick up the wrong one which he should have done anyway from beginning. We are going to Velvet Taco as we always had great experiences in past... Now these guys are dropping the ball and becoming bit rude and giving attitude when they are wrong...This is really getting bad very fast...

Place has unique taco combos and consistent quality and portions. Def a go to place for some out of the norm taco flavors. The Texas locations are always good and serve the good hot and fast. The atmosphere is communal style and it s a little tight to navigate. The place is a good hang out space for small to medium size groups. If you like tacos or haven t been converted to loving tacos yet this is a good spot to rekindle or start appreciation for tacos. If you re thirsty for alcohol they also have some good options to pair with your fave taco. My go to tacos are the 3,5,6.5,11.5, 12 @ grapevine location. The red velvet cake is delicious and worth sharing among several people.

Upside: cute setup, gave me beach vibes, quirky/trendy. Cashier was very nice and friendly. Unique menu. The food had good flavor. Downside: we re in Texas and used to sizable portions. Don t expect that here. The curry in my fish and chips taco was very thick. At first I thought it was mustard. Even though my tastebuds thoroughly enjoyed it, I did end up with an upset stomach. It s a decent atmosphere. The food was pretty good. Just not great. I hate when food comes out with way more ingredients than listed. The broker nachos were way too busy with very little brisket. This was My first experience at Velvet taco, I was not impressed. Yes the building is nice, has a nice atmosphere. The customer service seems rude, and the food was not great at all. They didnt even get my name right, gives you that rush What do you want feeling. I ordered the grilled salmon tacos, with the brisket nachos. The salmon in the tacos were plain n boring, and the corn tortillas were not cooked at all. That was a turn off, with the cold raw tortillas. If you ask me, they are not worth the $6, for each taco. The brisket nachos were goodish, there is a downfall. For $8 for brisket nachos, they barely give you any meat. I had found only two small pieces of brisket, the rest was vegetable toppings and sauce. They gave you more brisket Grease, sogging up the nachos. I am never going to Velvet tacos again, they are overpriced for not so great tacos. There are better real authentic taco places out there, with better prices for some awesome tacos. I do recommend their Sangrias, if you dont mind paying $12 apiece.

So, when this place gets too many orders through their webpage, the system just charges your card then kicks the order out and leaves you hanging. Or at least that s the story they gave me when I called. Tried to order again another time and apparently the same nonsense occurred. Awesome. I ve had Velvet Taco before and the food is pretty good. Unfortunately, I don t have patience for a terrible online ordering system in 2024 and I don t do 3rd tries. The tacos may not be as good but literally anywhere else is at least reliable. Best place for fusion tacos. The butter chicken taco is amazing. The heat sauce is actually spicy. And it s open late in the night which makes it a perfect spot for an after party meal. Also try the Red velvet cake if you have a sweet tooth.

This place is amazing. The tator tots with the egg on top appetizer is so good its ridiculous. The chicken and waffle taco is out of this world good. Weve been back like 3 times since our first visit. And theyre open late, which is always a plus to me.

The portions sizes are pretty good and tacos seemed to be freshly prepared with fresh ingredients. We tried redeeming free b day cake but the manager didn t know or wouldn t let us redeem without using loyalty points. Beer battered cauliflower, paneer and queso is our go to. Nachos are also really nice!

Trendy and tasty fusion tacos. The idea of flavor mashups in tacos is no longer a novel idea but this one does it well and with style. I had the spicy tikka chicken taco and my wife had the Cuban. I loved the Indian flavors and spiciness (but not too spicy). The Cuban was well executed but not one I preferred. Dont get me wrong, I like a good cuban sandwich. I guess I just wasnt ready for that in a taco. Those are the only ones we tried but I would love to go back and try more. We also ordered the brisket nachos. They were excellent. The absolute hit of the night, though, was the cake. A thick slice of Red Velvet cake layered frosting and dripping with bonus icing is their signature and only dessert. It was amazing!

First time at the Grapevine location, usually stop in Plano. Food was just as good, service was fast and friendly. Smaller dining room, but same vibe as other locations. French Dip Taco was great, the horseradish sauce and fried onions were a solid complement for the prime rib and Chipotle au jus. Vegetarian options: Separate menu of vegetarian options, the Fried Paneer Taco is one of my favorites period. Not as lengthy as the non-veg options.
