Really neat spot to run around in. My kids were fascinated by all of the airplanes of course, but also the various monuments and the large field of wildflowers that goes right up to the fence at DFW. There s no playground for children, but that s not what the Plaza is about. Also has a sweet memorial center for veterans.

We visit here often. Great views, and it s nice to hear the tower giving out directions on the loudspeaker. My husband is a pilot, so he likes chatting about the types of planes, where they originated, and where they re heading. He sometimes takes photos. The place is always crowded.

I wish there was a better way to know the flight patterns before going here. Because depending on what flights are coming and going at the time you go you could either have a cool experience of planes flying directly over you to the runways or you might only get to see one every 4-6 minutes flying parallel to you, far away. If there was an accurate way to easily know the current flight patterns coming into the nearby runways then this would have been a perfect experience. Because otherwise the location is really nice and feels safe and family friendly!

Amazing place. If you like quite time just being at a place where you sit back and enjoy the view and that too giant creation of mankind taking off and landing then this is a perfect place. Thanks to the organization that maintains this park. It s free, safe, clean and well maintained. It has some covered tables and grassy area where families, photographers and airplane enthusiasts hang out. Some brought lawn chairs and food for a picnic. There is also a pretty cool water fountain and even cooler feed of the control tower. Kids were having a blast and I can see why photographers love the shots they can get from here. Additionally, it helps you appreciate the level of logistics it takes to run this airport. In average an airplane landed and took off every two minutes. I would definitely come back just to chill and watch airplanes.

Its a great spot to view planes taking off and landing. At the right spot and with good winds you can see Southwest Airlines planes landing at Love Field in the distance. However, a downside is that Founders is on one side of the airport and when the planes take off and land to the north, (wind direction south), you cant see planes landing as good as you would normally be able to. You can always find a spot on the other side, but it takes some digging. Never had a bad experience here and Ive met some nice people. 10/10.

If youre an avid aircraft photographer, or just a fan of commercial airplanes and love watching them, this is a superb place from which to view and photograph! Mornings can be rough for the photographer, as the aircraft are most definitely backlit...but after about 12-1pm, the light just gets better, regardless of which direction the air traffic is flowing. The views are unobstructed, and being as it is well off the main road, its safe to bring your kids to enjoy it with you. A most excellent location!
