My partner and I decided to stop by Bacchus Kitchen + Bar for nightcap drinks before heading up to our hotel room, and we had an amazing time! Ben and Otis were the best bartenders super friendly and went out of their way to make sure we had a great experience. The espresso martinis were on point, and honestly, some of the best weve ever had. The vibe was awesome, and the service was spot on from start to finish. Well definitely be back for another round soon. Huge thanks to Ben and Otis for making the night so much fun!

Wonderful experience! Bacchus is located inside of Hotel Zin. Come by car and park in the garage (free for 90 mins, $1 an hour thereafter) or by rail (get dropped off a few feet from hotel). Soaring ceilings and modern vibe. Knowledgeable and attentive server. Every course exceeded our expectations.

Honestly, was expecting a lot more for how high a rating this place had. Great ambiance, nice friendly staff, and great drinks. The food was unimaginative and quite frankly, insulting. I ordered the pear salad. I had 4 slices of pear that appeared to be grilled and weren t ripe yet, and a pile of arugula. They call that a salad. Everything we ordered just felt boring. Might come back for drinks only, but definitely will never dine there again.

Clean, friendly, good service, nice ambience. Food obtains are limited for Sunday brunch and they won t make adjustments or have alternatives. (We asked) For example, we asked for raspberry jam and they only had the little bottles of two apricot and strawberry. If you re English, they don t have morning tea like Earl Grey.

We went for breakfast. I love eating healthy. But, it is a little pricey. Its expensive to eat healthy, lets face it. Fabiola gave us the best service. Her smile and friendly nature was contagious. The chia pudding was delicious and all the fruit was nice and fresh. The avocado on sourdough with an egg over easy and bacon was tasty as well.

Absolutely delicious, the menu choices that were recommended by the Server were outstanding. Our server was outstanding, made our future daughter birthday special. The Shrimp fusilli pasta dish and ribeye, both amazing. The chopped Wedge, so delicious. Carpaccio another delicious choice along with the tuna tostada. Dessert, the chocolate bomb...small but delicious.

The food is okay but for the price there exists better options nearby. Our waiter was very impatient and not very excited to be working at the restaurant. Even though the place was less busy on that Monday night the waiter had a sense of urgency for us to finish the meal and leave. Cocktails are good but the food is overvalued.

I have been there multiple times and always underwhelmed. I usually order Cosmo and they have not been able to mix a good one. Most of the ladies I go out with complain of drinks being too strong. There is a bar at Harvest Hall few steps away and they mix wonderful drinks. Food is also so-so. However the place itself is beautiful. I think it s a good place to stop by for a glass of wine. Skip the food and then go find a cute place to eat on Main Street. (My burrata cheese was not fresh, I chose not to complain). Anyways I do love looking at the train station out the window. It can be an interesting place to people watch. But if you are wanting to visit this place don t be discouraged by my review, the hotel itself is beautiful, go on check it out for yourself. Oh yes let me add, beignets are great! Parking: There is valet or parking garage (not free). However you can park at the train station for free and walk over to hotel.

Went there on a Tue evening - the staff was AWESOME! Great service from our waiter - The issue was with the food - I ordered the ribeye medium rare - Ive NEVER sent food back, but this was blood red in the middle. The cut was a thin cut as well so it should have cooked quickly. The Caesar salad was romaine lettuce with salad dressing - nothing else. We ordered coffee as well and it was a VERY weak coffee. I could almost see the bottom of the cup. For the price I wouldnt go back, but glad I experienced it.

This place is just an extremely overpriced sports bar. It is in the middle of the hotel lobby and it is extremely noisy and the big screen TVs are a distraction. But most disappointing was the food. Not sure where to start. The positive: the restaurant itself is beautiful as is the bar and hotel lobby. Now the reality check: this place is pricey and I m fine with that but expect the food and service to be comparable to the cost. The food was actually some of worst I ve had in awhile. I got the lemon chicken which tasted like boiled chicken - absolutely zero flavor. My friend had the sea bass ($$$$) and didn t even eat it - too oily and zero flavor. Brussel sprouts were burnt and too chewy and the red velvet cake was stale (prob at least a day old). The place needs a new chef. I mean they really need to take it up a notch. The service was lacking too. We had to flag a waiter to order (and I say a waiter because there were multiple with no one seemingly assigned to our table) The bill was $175 and the waitress forgot silverware so we waited and then she was like oh these are little forks , you mean salad forks? So she took them away and we sat and waited again for her to bring dinner forks. This is 4 star prices with an inexperienced wait staff and poor food. Will never go back.

Service was terrible where we ended up leaving angry and hungry. I had ordered an appetizer and pasta dish. After about 25 minutes the server brought pasta and the appetizer at the same time. I explained to him that I wanted to enjoy my first course and did not want pasta to get cold and if he can keep it warm in the kitchen. He took pasta back. I finished my first course and waited 15 minutes server never checked in on us or so I flagged down the server to bring my pasta out of the warmer. Waited another 25 minutes still no pasta. Finally I cancelled my order and we left without eating a proper meal. It seems like it s ran by buncha amateurs but prices are like 5 star restaurant. Terrible experience. My friend had similar terrible service at a different time.

The only reason to spend this kind of money is to simply show off that you can. The food was okay, not overly impressive. Some of the ingredients or flavors just seemed off. The shrimp dish was a little heavy on the lemon, and the shrimp were just weird. You got 2 very large but way overcooked shrimp and then several very little rubbery shrimp to complete the dish. The truffle dish was WAY over the top with truffle and lacking a protein to balance out the dish. After my son was finished eating his truffle dish, I combined my lemony shrimp dish with his leftover sauce, and it was actually not too bad. I originally ordered the pasta with veal, but the veal tasted more like dry hamburger, and the tomato (pamadora) sauce was sour tasting. I couldnt eat it, so I ordered the shrimp pasta. My daughters Eggplant Parmesen was very good. And the portion size was good. I would actually recommend that. The rest of the portions including the dessert were particularly undersized compared to other normal restaurants. And the prices were ridiculous for what you get. We ordered 3 meals, 3 drinks, 1 appetizer, 1 dessert, spent $265 with tip, and left under satisfied. Our waitress was very nice and fairly attentive. The food was VERY slow to come out however. The atmosphere was nice, fancy hotel like. Overall, waaay overpriced food that was not in the least bit impressive, in a fancy hotel atmosphere. Eat here only if money is no object for you, and youre more interested in impressing your date than you are a good meal.

The breakfast is good, but the dinner is bad. Honestly, it s beyond bad. Had the tomato mozzarella crostini, and they were ice cold for some reason. I get that it s not supposed to be a hot or warm dish, but it was ice cold. The tagliatelle was just abysmal. Tasted like: way overcooked low quality noodles, awful wine that hadn t been cooked off, the pomodoro tasted like it had hardly been cooked it was so watery and unreduced, there was pretty much no meat. The red velvet cake dessert clearly came out of a fridge or something and was served on a strawberry sauce?? It did not work. You have this tart cream cheese icing then this tart strawberry sauce. It s just frustrating because there are so many restaurants with great food that are struggling in these times, and owners/management of a lot of these hotel restaurants know that they can get away with serving horrible food because guests will eat there regardless.

Lets start with the positive: AMAZING creamy cheese grits Bacon rendered so perfectly that it melts in your mouth with a delicate crisp Crumble the bacon on top of the grits and call it a day! Where I went wrong: Ricotta pancakes were awful, the cheese was lukewarm warm and sour and the pancakes were dry and lifeless. The REAL maple syrup saved the day here. I basically scrapped all the ricotta to the side and then doused the cakes with maple to make them edible. Yucca fries were very bland with confusing texture (In my opinion just cut smaller and add salt) the sauce that came with them was nice and helped cut through the mistakes Patatas Bravas were ok but lacked texture Coffee was weak Orange juice was good The presentation of everything was top notch, the place is absolutely gorgeous

We asked for the ticket once our food arrived because we were in a hurry. Yet it was still and hour long event. Make it make sense. I got the shrimp pasta, it was extremely salty like it was supposed to be a salt flavored dish. My husband got the chicken cacciatore which was just naked chicken on a pink sauce. Nothing more. Located in the Vin Hotel Upon entry it s not the most noticeable entryway with no immediate signage but nonetheless still beautiful and moderately intimate despite sharing an open lobby with the hotel. The atmosphere was great and refreshing. As for the meal itself it had its ups and downs The cocktail menu was great with a fair selection of craft and familiar cocktails that really relate to the nature of the boutique hotel . I decided to try Spill the Tea with the encouragement of my server. It was very reminiscent of a Long Island and very booze forward, yet still refreshing with a hint of lemon. My main course was the Ricotta Ravioli accompanied by butter poached lobster and nduja. The dish was well balanced with great acidity, and texture from the nduja and lobster, however, the lobster was very dry and over cooked which is a shame because it s the main contributor for the price. The ravioli themselves were huge and cooked perfectly. I personally enjoyed the portion size as well. I was too full for a side dish or appetizer however there s always room for dessert! The dessert menu was okay, it seemed to need refining, I was told some option did not correlate with their descriptions and some deserts were not preferable. I appreciated that input. I finished my meal with the ultra rich Chocolat Bombe a petite tempered chocolate and mousse explosion with a thin layer of cake but sadly no crème brûlée. Great for chocolate lovers but I did feel the need to wash it down with milk or something fresh. Nonetheless, it was still delicious. The service from the staff was overall great and it s worth a try if you re in the area!

The fattoush salad was fresh and had a nice flavor. The lobster ravioli and the Chilean Sea Bass with escabeche sauce, and roasted marble potatoes are so good. The affogato was a perfect dessert to end the meal. I recommend this restaurant for a special date.Update: Went there for brunch, and it was good again. The French toast was the best. The shashuka has eggs in a tomato sauce with toast on the side, and it was good too.I had a grapefruit mimosa too, perfect. Mom had the hamburger and fries and she liked it as well. They had a farmers market on main Street on Saturday, so I would recommend going there afterwards also. Or visit one of the many wine spots or art galleries while in downtown Grapevine. Vegetarian options: Fattoush, lentil soup, eggplant Napolean

Many will bring it, you just have to ask and honestly..we were out of sorts .. and a little crabby. My salad, and there cabbage rolls, whatever they are called and Fish was delicious. Tylers can do and very professional, yet personable made it work out. Sorry , we did not take pictures. My girlfriend did get the Pork Chops, I definitely would say make sure you get salad and split something if your real hungry. My fish and salad I still had leftovers next day, but that is me. As a chef, I do my best to be objective when visiting more upscale restaurants. I was invited to a birthday event with some friends at Bacchus on a very, very busy Saturday night. Upon entering the restaurant, it had an incredible atmosphere. The hostess was extremely friendly, and the decor was indicative of being considered upscale. The service was a 3. Our waiter started strong but ended poorly with our party of eight. Our dinner started at 6:17p, order taken at 6:25p 1st appertizer arrived 6:57p. Entrees arrived at 7:55p. I understand wait times, but wow. On to the food. Subpar. There was a lack of flavor across the board. The mussels and clams were the best, and they were a 3 at best. My friends ordered medium rare and medium well Steaks, and they got each others steak. In addition, the steaks lacked flavor. Some salt and pepper goes a long way. The chicken dish had no dynamic and no flavor. The Fried pork chop, meh. To add insult to injury, my ravioli was (cold), but the chef did re-fire the dish, and the cheese was now pulling away from the ravioli. The pasta could have used some seasoning, even a dash of pepper. We thought maybe the dessert would bring it home, nope. The banana bread dessert was doughy and lacked the sweetness to be considered a dessert. The chocolate bomb had a description of creme brulee, but it had no custard or caramelized sugar or anything resembling a creme brulee. For the price I excepted better. To add insult to injury, when we told our server, Tyler, about the steak issue, we were informed we could get a free drink on our next visit. Really? Poor service, subpar food, desserts with incorrect descriptions, and drink refills were slower than paint drying. We paid the auto gratuity, the alcohol tax (even though we didnt have alcohol), and all the other taxed fees. Disappointing

I went to Bacchus bar for drinks with some friends last night. I two glasses of wine, which was priced at $17/glass. When I got my check, the total before tax was a little over $45. I called the bartender over and pointed out the error. He pulled out a menu and showed me that a large pour is $21/glass which is still a few bucks less than what he charged me. I told him I did not ask for a large pour, nor did he ask me which size I wanted. He just upsold me to make his tip bigger. I won t be back.

Only concern was that while restaurant was almost empty, service was very slow to the table, with the exception of the time from ordering the food till arrival, that was quick. This place is laughable. If you have money to just blow and no other place is open to eat, then this might be your only option. Don t expect good service or good quality. It is fair at best and way over priced. Pic is of the wedge salad and lemon chicken. . You can get an actual wedge salad for half the price at Jason s deli or salt grass. Chicken is better at Kroger deli for a quarter of the price. Service was very slow and don t expect drinks to be refilled very quickly. This is a poor excuse of fine dining in grapevine.

Me and my Fiancé came in on Monday and had the best experience at a restaurant in a long time. Our server was on point and provided excellent service. The drinks were outstanding, we tried quite a few. The smores martini and spill the tea were our favorites. The bar did a fantastic job on the ticket times and execution. We started off with the class and mussels, the sauce really made it. For dinner we split the cowboy ribeye and they even charred a crust for us. We got Brussel sprouts, asparagus, and mashed potatoes. Everything was perfect. If I could give them more stars, I would. We will be having our next date night here!

This review is based purely on the reservation process, since I didnt even get as far as eating here. The Open Table system requires a credit card and will charge you $75 per person if you cancel less than 2 days in advance, which is absolutely ridiculous for a restaurant at this price point. On top of that, something is broken and it wont take any credit card numbers (I tried 5 different ones). When I tried to call in a reseveration, I got their incredibly frustrating automated system instead of an actual person. The system told me to just book on Open Table and offered to text me a link. Not so useful when the system is broken! When I finally got it to forward me to, hopefully, a real person, no one picked up. I give up. Ill eat somewhere else. I cant imagine how bad the hospitality must be at the actual restaurant if this is what it takes to book a reseveration.

My wife and I attended an event at Harvest Hall last night. Prior to the event we stopped at Bacchus to reserve a table for dinner, post the event. The reservation was made for 7:30 P.M. Our event finished early and proceeded to Bacchus around 7:15. We were seated and we started to review the menu. Water glasses were filled. We waited about 7 minutes (7:22 PM) and the hostess stopped by our table and shared that our reservation was for 7:30 PM and the restaurant was busy, so the waitstaff would not be able to take our order till after 7:30. We agreed. Then continued to wait and wait, servers would walk by but no one engaged us for any type of service, drinks, appetizers, etc. By 7:40, we decided to leave. We let a server and the hostess know why we were leaving, lack of any interaction by their staff. The Hotel Vin, where Bacchus Restaurant is located is a higher end Marriott Property. This cannot be the level of customer engagement expected for Marriott. My question is, why seat us if we could not be served or even interact with the staff. Then once we could have service would you wait 10 min+ before stopping by and introduces yourself and start the process. I find this unsatisfactory for a mid-high end restaurant.

The decor & ambiance were top notch the cocktails & food were incredibly prepared & our server Makayla was beyond accommodating she was serving quite a large number of ppl in her section, yet we never needed for anything, she really stayed on top of making sure our glasses stayed full & our plates got cleared in a timely manner, plus she was so knowledgeable of the menu & made fantastic recommendations & lastly, her & the kitchen staff were able to surprise my my mom with birthday beignets that were so incredibly good. Im so appreciative of the entire staff that participated in making our visit a night to remember! 10/10 experience!

I went in with high hopes, but the Thanksgiving Buffet ended as an unfortunate disappointment. From making the reservation on Open Table, it was very confusing to distinguish between a reservation at the Ballroom Buffet (the only place you can get turkey) and the Bacchus Kitchen and Bar. Took two phone calls and three efforts at the website to get it all sorted. The Food was quiet good, but it was very high priced ($100/person + an undisclosed until the end mandatory gratuity of 20% per person -- for a buffet). The food on the buffet was well prepared and delicious. The problem was the absence of some Thanksgiving standards --(Stuffing, green been casserole and amazingly, pumpkin and apple pie were all missing.) The event was served in a Ballroom on the 4th floor of the hotel. The room had a lot of sophisticated lightening built in, but no-one spent any time trying to light the room properly. Accordingly, it was like eating your Thanksgiving meal on the surface of the sun. Every light was on full blast. The acoustics were also a challenge because it was very hard to hear the people at your table over the echoes of the large hall and the music which was a bit too loud. Finally, they dont validate the parking. (You do get 90 minutes free at the hotel). Nevertheless, for $120/person (where you go and collect your own food) is out of wack, even in these inflationary times. Too bad, as it would not have taken much management time to make this a positive annual event for the folks of Grapevine.

Flavorless and no cheese or pepper to top it off just a small shaving of breadcrumbs. Management- if you dont have a key ingredient then let the customer know but never try to get away with it. Meat entrees were dry. And if you want bread beware they charge for a few small slices of white bread that tastes like charcoal. Lastly they clear plates even when others are still eating! The menu is on the shorter side, which is always a great sign that the quality of food is usually better. We had outstanding service from Jack and would come back. We tried several different wines and fell in love with the Arista Chardonnay and the Bravium Rose from all of our selections. The Bomba was crispy and unique, although slightly under seasoned. We had date night dinner reservations here on Saturday night January 8, 2022. We arrived 10 minutes prior to our reservation. We are always astonished by how seemingly complex and difficult it seems for the hostess to decode their iPad and determine where to seat a party of two who has had a reservation for a week, but once we got past that we were seated at a nice table. First, this place is in a hotel moderately upscale - multiple dining options throughout the hotel, this one being the nicest. For the menu prices, we thought it would have been a bit nicer if they created a bit more of a dining room/cozy feel, possibly closing the curtains that are open to all hotel guests walking by- whether they have yelling children or if they are dragging a red igloo cooler. There is a nice bar located centrally in the restaurant but an unfortunate placement of a light fixture impedes viewing of the televisions hanging around the bar, we thought that was odd. Still however, we had a great server named Hunter. He was prompt and courteous and all too ready to answer every question about the menu. My husband had the halibut and said it was great and cooked very evenly throughout. The bar ran out of Woodford reserve and he was subbed another bourbon without upcharge. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and I have to say it was the most delicious I have ever had and I would return to this restaurant just to order this again. This is a 8 on the 1-10 scale. Yes recommend. Please find a way to create an intimate dining experience in this restaurant and it will be a literal home run

The manager and GM were apologetic and offered to reseat us in the bubbles on the roof...over two hours from our original reservation. We were out as a family for my wife s birthday and could not wait that long with children. I don t know how to express the disappointment and disgust we felt. Completely ruined our special night out. Sadly disappointed with our experience. We ve been looking forward to visiting this beautiful restaurant for months and booked reservations for our anniversary dinner. After being seated, we waited 15 min without being greeted. Eventually the manager came over and brought water. He ended up being our waiter the rest of the evening. He seemed busy, yet the restaurant was half empty and fairly slow for a Saturday evening. The food was good, yet a bit overpriced. At this point we were just underwhelmed with the experience. Shortly after walking out having spent $150, we found our way over to the Harvest Hall to fill ourselves and then to Kilwins to salvage the evening. Unfortunately we will not be referring or returning.
