Lets start with I am a bakery snob. I did not order cookies as I am usually disappointed by those. I did order a raspberry lemon hand pie. My friend ordered cheese cake. I also got a sample of the key lime pie and chocolate pie. The chocolate pie was great. It had this creamy deep dark chocolate taste. The key lime pie was okay. The coconut in the pie kind of surprised me and it wasnt my taste. Back to the hand pie. It was amazing. Here is the deal if it says raspberry lemon you need to be able to taste raspberry and lemon. This little pie was perfect. The crust was flaky with the right amount of sugar on top. The filling was definitely raspberry. The lemon came in the after bite. If Im ever in town again I will be back here for another one.

I stopped in on my way home from a team meeting. I got a small 6 flan pie I think, an apple and a lemon raspberry hand pie and a snickerdoodle cookie. I didnt realize it but the flan pie needed to be kept cool so the person gave me ice to keep it cool. I ate it at home and LOVED the pie and the crust, which was thick so the flan couldnt make it soggy. The hand pie looked ok but it tasted incredible! The crust on it was tender and flaky which made it hard to hide that I had eaten some on the way home because of the crumbs in my lap. (Yes I ate sweets in the car And at home.) I didnt get the taste the snickerdoodle cookie because my son ate it so quickly but he said it was pretty good which is high praise coming from an 11-year-old. Ill definitely stop by the next time Im in Grapevine!!

Definitely #1 in Texas! We stopped by right before close on a Friday night. Judy herself greeted us as we were eying the menu outside the front door. She was super kind and explained to us that this is the best pie in Texas - #5 in the US! lol that is the truth. We had a Cherry hand pie and a blackberry pie. You can tell the crust is homemade and the pie itself has a great ratio. We will be back! Thank you, Judy!

Underwhelmed by the desserts at this shop. The pies were either hard as a rock (to the point of the filling crumbling to ash) or soup-like mush. The cookies were stale and the pie flavors were too subdued to enjoy. The only good buy was the Reeses pie. It was simply delicious. The woman who assisted me was attentive and fast; she even gave me a 6 key lime pie because the slice Id ordered was unavailable as the pie from which to cut it had already been sold. Despite her good service, I will not be back, not only for the poor quality of products but due to the owners complete lack of professionalism. Word to the wise, read the owners responses to customers who were dissatisfied with their service or the food. That alone would have kept me away had I read them prior. Update in response to the owners reply: Your menu does indeed show you offer Gluten Free Reeses pie... that would be peanut butter. As stated in my review, it was the only pie that was good. What a great place to satisfy your sweet tooth and have a nice strong cup of coffee. Lots of homemade pies, cookies and other treats to choose from. I had a slice of apple crumble pie, heated with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. Was delicious. Very sweet but the ice cream dialed down the sweet. My friend had a slice of pecan pie. Outstanding. Not sickly sweet like some I ve had. Dad got a chocolate chunk cookie for later. I wanted to snag a chocolate chunk off his cookie! Looked really good. Our waitress was delightful! Very accommodating. Parking: We got a parking spot right in front of Judy s Pie Shop.

Ok, so pie is my most favorite dessert. Outside of pumpkin, pecan, and sweet potato, Ill eat any kind of pie there is. So far, Ive had their Cherry, Apple, and Creme Brulee and all were sooo good. My favorite was the Creme Brulee and I would have preferred a crust on top of the apple vs crumbles but thats a personal preference. The best part about this shop is the women that work there. They are all so welcoming and kind!! I will be giving Judy Pie plenty of business!

Cute atmosphere and nice staff. It was my first time there and I ordered the cherry pie. The filling was gummy( too much starch) and too sweet. The crust was not the flakiest and overall just an average pie. They dont offer tea or coffee which is strange for a place that sells pastry. If I ever go back I will not order warm pie again.

Here on vacation & Googled dessert near me , and we found this place. Pretty uncommon for myself to want pie , but wanted to give it a try and my family agreed. Food is just alright. Gluten free pies and regular pies are just way too sweet. For the price I think you can find better pies in the DFW area. ~~ [ Update 1/6/24 ] (my response to the Owner s comment): Changing my review from 3 stars to 1 because you obviously don t deserve any stars, Ole Sweet Judy. Not only do your pies taste stale and lifeless, you ALSO lack the ability take any customer criticism and that shows. Especially from seeing all of your sarcastic replies to your customers. No need to even begin a DFW Pie Contest because your pies wouldn t even be apart of the top 10. Hate to hurt your feelings on this one, but it s the truth. The best pies in the DFW area is an obvious one: Emporium pies. They were probably able to expand their location because of their DELICIOUS pies, wonderful customer service, and their ability to take criticism. Wow! I consider myself and cookie connoisseur and this place by far makes the best store bought cookie I ve had. The cinnamon roll was delicious as well. You take a bite and think, there s no way something can taste this good but it does! We also bought pies from here for Thanksgiving. Whenever we pass through Grapevine, a stop at Judy Pie is a must!! We have been going to Judy Pie for years (possibly when she opened the store), and everything is wonderful. No matter what you get, it will be delicious. Staff is friendly and helpful. If I bring something back from Judy Pie, my family is immediately excited - they know it will be great! Parking can be tricky, but it is worth it. There are some lots or street parking that can be found nearby. I would not park directly in front of the store anyways as it can be difficult to back out. The parking has never stopped us- you will be happy you stopped by.

Update: returned after awhile and much better this time. Received my whole order and finally got to try the hand pies which I loved. The Christmas gingerbread men were a great treat! I usually love Judys Pie, they make a good pie and I love shopping smaller places. However this past weekends visit has me questioning about making another drive out. One of the slices I ordered was apparantly in the section of the pie where there was one of the decorative cut outs because it had hardly any crust, mostly just a container of cherries. Also I ordered a hand pie to go along with my slices and when I got home they had not put the hand pie in my bag. Pretty bummed for my experience spending 25 dollars and receiving basically one and a half slices of pie. If you go on a good day though and get a good slice the pie is tasty.

Id had some fried pies from a gas station that were homemade and they were filled with delicious fruit, I decided I would try some from Judys. The pies from the gas station were $3.50 and delicious a five-star in every way. Judys pies cost $7.50 for fold-over pies, and I only taste the pie crust very little filling. Although the crust is fine, I really wanted to taste the filling.

Arrived about 30 minutes before closing and felt like I bought a private experience because the ladies here are some of the sweetest people you ll meet. They let us try several samples and we ordered the flight of pie, 3 half slices so we get to try more flavors. Absolutely DELICIOUS treats, from their pies to cheesecakes to cakes, they have an option for everyone. We ve been eyeing this place for so many years and finally stopped in last night. The young lady working was so sweet, patient and helpful. We REALLY wanted to be able to give this place 5 stars unfortunately, it just wasn t THAT good. The pies we got were okay, but nothing short of what we could get from our local MarketStreet Bakery for half the price. We bought a cherry hand pie, a SINGLE slice of Coconut Cream and a hot chocolate. Our total was JUST shy of $20! I thought it was extremely high, for a handpie, one SLICE of pie and a small beverage, but my wife said that she was told by three people how great they were, so I was looking forward. First the hot chocolate for $1.50 it was THE BEST hot chocolate for the price. The chocolate spoon we were given was a bit overkill after we stirred it in, but overall it was great! The cherry hand pie, meh I have received more cherry filling in Mrs. Baird s hand pies with a better cooked crust, as ours was overtly dry and borderline burnt along the edges which resulted in it just crumbling ALL OVER ME and requiring a plate to eat a HAND PIE so I didn t get crust ALL over us. The filling was cherry nothing really THAT special. I DEFINITELY DID NOT taste any of the Merlot that they claim is in the flavor just a sweet and slightly tart cherry pie filling. Lucky Leaf brand, if I were to guess. Finally, our least impressed but the one we were REALLY hoping would be awesome. The coconut cream. There WAS cream, but the ONLY coconut we got was from the sparse coconut flakes and other than that, there was NO other coconut flavor, that me, my wife or son and two daughters could detect. We LOVE coconut cream pies, which is why we had EVERYONE taste it. We thought that maybe we just weren t able to taste it for some reason but alas, they said the same: all they got coconut-wise was from the flakes, here and there. Now, all things being equal, the location is super cute, the staff was really nice, although we think one person was new as she didn t know much at all about the items and perhaps the items are better when they are more fresh and eaten immediately after ordering, but we took our home, so I don t know for sure, but the pies are just too overpriced for what we got versus how long we drove to experience things so we MAY give it another chance, in the future, if we are in the area, one day.

This place has many delicious desserts and Judy and the staff was amazing. We purchased the chocolate pudding cake and it was awesome. This cake was a moist and creamy fudge that wasn t too sweet. We stopped for pies after dinner and wow, so yummy! They have so many options, perfectly created. We ordered the chocolate cream pie, banana pudding pie, and a slice of the chocolate pudding cake. We will definitely be back.

So I ve lived in the area all my life and never explored Main Street. My husband and I were walking around and came across this pie shop. And let me tell you! These pies are phenomenal!! I always request a lemon meringue pie for my birthday. Unfortunately none compared to how my mom used to make them. For my husband it felt like he was hunting purple unicorns. 30+ years but he finally found the perfect pie!!! Thank you for a delicious birthday, we ll definitely be back next year.

The pies were good. The cheesecake pie was nice and light. Though, charging $2.99 for 1 tiny (not a normal size) scoop of bluebell is a bit much. The menu actually doesnt even represent that price.

I stopped in here today to get some pie for my office team mates. Everyone was very satisfied with their selection. I had the Memphis Mafia which was ah-mazing!! I definitely recommend when you are the Grapevine area to stop by and get a slice!!

7-5-2022 In response to Judy!!! I m glad you checked your cameras because you know I m not lying but you obviously are! Why would I order a pie my daughter is allergic to? Up till then I have purchased pie there many times and was full aware of the cost! And i gave your employee my number, either she s lying or you are! I hope you both have the day you deserve! Original post .I gave the shop owner a full 24 hours to respond and try to handle before posting. I live in Denison, 80 miles from this shop, but I was in the area and stopped in to buy 2 slices of pie which cost $18. I then headed home and when I got there, instead of having the two slices of cherry merlot pie that I ordered, they gave me strawberry rhubarb. My daughter is allergic to strawberry so I never would have ordered that pie and had to discard it. Since it was not my fault, I called the shop to let them know and the best they could offer was replacement pie the next time I m in the area. I m 80 miles away, I don t go there often so I asked for a refund since it was their fault. Brandy with a y told me I should have checked the pie before I left the shop insinuating it was my fault and they don t offer returns as they have a no returns sign among the 1000 other little signs throughout their shop and then she asked me if I was done complaining! Judy, your shop workers are rude and incapable and you obviously have very little character yourself if you can t call back a customer about a complaint. I know you don t care but I will never shop there again and I will discourage anyone else from going there as well.

Saturday 06/18/2022 While on our journey via TexRail for Juneteenth festivities we got off in Grapevine. Sweating through the #TexasHeat and streets exploring Main St. little shops. My pallet has never had an ongoing affair with cakes and pies. *Lol* But short and sweet visiting Judy Pie was a nice treat. German Chocolate Pie Pecan Pie The friendly staff, the samples and they give service discounts. Such a gem of a place yall.

The place was super cute, staff was friendly. It was our first visit there today and we wanted a slice but were only able to buy a whole pie so we got the smallest size in strawberry and key lime. For the size, the pies were pricey at $17 and the strawberry was bland with only strawberry flavoring from on top, the filling didnt taste like much. The key lime was super duper sour, I was unable to finish it. Sad it wasnt what I hoped for the price and wish I was able to get a sample or a slice instead.

We lived in Texas for about 4 years. The last two years we lived there we frequently visited JudyPie! This place is so amazingly good. On a recent visit back to the DFW area we purchased an entire Banana Cream Pie and brought it back home to Utah because it is just that good. Another one of our favorites was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. The Lemon-Blueberry cookies are incredible! If you re lucky Judy herself will be there dishing up pie. She is a sweetheart and we highly recommend buying pie here! Thanks for filling all of our pie needs when we lived in Texas!

Sweet sweets, I love fruit pies and their Cherry Merlot pie did not disappoint. A little pricy at $7 for a slice but it is hand made with care, not imported from China! Judypie! If I could give 10 stars to our experience here, I would! Our group came here looking for a delicious dessert place. Not only did we find EXACTLY what we were looking for, but we also found the nicest people ever. We met JUDY herself, and we were served by AWESOME employees, Alix and Claudy. We left and talked about how amazing our experience was the whole way home. We ordered the Merlot Cherry Pie, a slice of the Chocolate Pudding Cake, and tried some Patron Cherries! As I m typing this, I m literally shoving the rest of the cherry pie in my backpack to save for when we get home! If you re in the area, heck, even if you aren t, Judypie is the PLACE. TO. BE. My first time I seeing this place was during Christmas town and the line was out the door. So what do you find a doctor in the nearby area make an appointment and swing by on a weekday. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful as I browsed through heaven looking pie in the cases. I had the banana chocolate pie (Elvis Presley fav), cheesecake, apple pie, blueberry hand pie, grabbed some dog treats, and a cookie. Don t judge me! I can t wait to go back. I heard on the weekends they have cinnamon rolls (a fam favorite!) none of the pie survived the day !! Until I return Judy until I return! Thank you all for lovely experience and pies!

I went into Judys Pie for the first time last night. I had a good experience there the customer service was great. The lady who was working last night cut me a slice of pecan pie from a whole pie when there was no slices of pecan pie available. She was helpful, warm and welcoming. The Skillet cookie was awesome. I encourage everyone if youre in the area visit Judys Pie for a sweet treat. It will be worth it. Thank yall!

We came here over the weekend to show off the Christmas Capital of Texas and we were not disappointed! We love pie and this pie shop is delicious. I ordered a slice of apple pie and we also ordered an apple, blueberry, and nutella hand pie. The pie crust was perfect! They also have pet friendly items. I would definitely recommend trying this place out. It was perfect for us to bring family and friends to.

Wife and I along with another couple visited Grapevine from New Braunfels on our way to Thackerville (Windstar Casino). My wife and friends wife stepped into JudyPie while while we were wine tasting and we didnt pay to much attention to what they purchased. Wife did mention she had purchased a pecan pie. Truthfully, didnt think it would be any different than other Pecan Pies I tried before. We left got to the hotel and needed a little snack - BAM!! That first bite was really FANTASTIC. Needless to say I told her I would save some for here to try - well that didnt happen. I will say that was the best pecan pie Ive eaten. Dont get me wrong my wifes right there with that one, but JudyPie was a little bit better. So much Im heading to Panhandle for work this week and taking a detour on my home to stop and get a couple more. Told me sister about it and now she has asked my to pick her up a couple. Looking forward to seeing what else they serve.

Wow... Drove 2 hours round trip to vlog trying the banana pudding pie before my diet starts thinking I could get it by the slice. Came at 330 so they wouldnt run out, since they dont close until 11, but was told I could only get it as whole pie. I ended up getting a cinnamon roll. It was good, but they couldnt heat it up so I ate it cold on my ride back.

$8 for a slice of gluten free pie. There is no price mentioned on their extremely tiny GF menu board sitting on their counter so when I bought two slices and it was rung up I was shell shocked after seeing the $16+ price tag. And the slices were tiny. And they came from the back so they were obviously frozen. Got home, took a bite with my wife of the key lime and we were like, hmm, its good, but not $8 good! We were disappointed because we had been wanting to try their GF pies for a while and after all that anticipation... After reading another persons review, it made sense. They do not make these on site, they are actually from Unrefined. In the owners response to that review, she said that it is posted everywhere that these pies are from unrefined. I beg to differ. No where did I see mention of this. Even the little card they put in our bag, that listed their GF items, did NOT mention they are from Unrefined. Feeling duped... Perhaps their other items are great, so this review is specifically on their GF pie slices. If you dont feel like driving to Frisco or Dallas (Unrefined locations) and are willing to pay twice as much, come here.

Just Pie is a destination when you re in DFW! Her pie selection is great and they are complimented by a nice selection of craft ice creams and drinks. I had the strawberry rhubarb and my wife chose the chocolate cream, both were great. The daily special was Cherry Merlot, all that was left were a few sample cups but it was nice. Get down to Just Pie, ride the train and have a blast!

I gave a fair and honest review of our visit and received a hateful rant in return. Can t wait to tell even more people not to visit this small business. You Had a chance to be nice; but wow. And we ordered German Chocolate because you had it ON YOUR MENU.. lots of places make creative and delicious gluten free options- why would we assume differently walking in to your establishment? Response from the owner 7 hours ago So if you are GF, why in the world would you have ordered German Chocolate. We post everywhere that our GF pie comes from unrefined. The pie comes to us frozen and in the container it was served in, and why in the world would we defrost and risk cross contamination??? Unrefined is as good as it gets for gluten free. We don t dare represent JP as a gluten free bakery. We take care of our loyal GF customers and will continue to do so. We had dinner at Dino s and wanted to grab dessert, sit outside and enjoy it in the nice evening weather before making the 40 minute trip back home. This place is adorable, you truly get a sense of homemade - lots of fresh pies on display and friendly people ready to assist. Here was our issue- we saw GF options on the menu, openly discussed them together and with the employee (male) even asked his opinion before deciding on a German chocolate. We couldn t wait to enjoy it! We were paying and being told to wait for what we assumed would be a fresh slice of pie- then we are handed a piece of pie frozen rock solid. He THEN AND ONLY THEN says- we get all of our GF products from Unrefined Bakery..yada yada- we are very familiar with Unrefined. If we wanted Unrefined- we would have driven there- or gone home to our own freezer and chiseled off a piece of pie we already had. SUPER POOR approach- NOWHERE does it say or even imply that if you order GF- you re not getting Judy Pie whatsoever- SO- let me inform you. If you re GF- Save yourself the stop - the GF from unrefined is fine - but not worth a stop- tiny portion, frozen solid and not representative of the place you re walking into. If you re a gluten eater- the place looks great.
