Its a beautiful trail. One problem with it. The high rise buildings. Completely messes up the atmosphere. I have no idea how the developers got away with building those buildings. The residents of grapevine need to be more vigilant.

Love the trails! You can stay close to the water or go into the trees. Saw some beautiful birds and a lot of fish activity in the lake. Theres a $5.00 charge per car, but its well worth it. There are covered picnic areas with barbecue grills, kayaking, trails, and a small store on site.

Love this trail. I came to hike this trail 2nd time, and the weather was really nice (ideal weather is between 67 to 77). The trail offers a lot of loops and connects three parks Whether you decide to hike or choose to ride a bicycle (e-bike would be a great support), you will not be disappointed, there are greats views of lake from the trail and today we explored one of the best beach, it was a little difficult to access, despite going through bushes and a little rough terrain it was great experience and worth. Beach was really cleaned, but it was apparently not accessed by many but deers. Walking in the water was really fun, water was clean, little warm, and was giving cozy feelings Picnic area: Great options for spending a day.

The North Shore Trailhead encompasses over 25+ miles of nature trails along the northern end of Grapevine Lake. Murrell Park and Rockledge Park are the best places to go to in order to hike on this trail, especially Rockledge Park. What you will experience hiking here are slopes, a lot of trees, shrubs, wildflowers, a distinct smell, a view of Grapevine Lake to your side, and maybe an armadillo or two. This is the only place in North Texas where will you have the most amount of space possible to hike and explore, and it will not disappoint you!

When we visited Rockledge park we had a chance to walk around the North shore trailhead. It was really crowded. People were all near the shore sitting , barbecuing and swimming at the same time. The breeze gets stronger around this area. You might want to bring a blanket in case you feel chilly. Bring swim suits, sandals, towels to enjoy the water. Extra clothes are also needed. If you have a canopy or a big umbrella,it will make it comfortable for you to stay under the sun. People were skiing here so if you have one you might want to bring yours otherwise you can rent here at the entrance of the park. Barbecue is allowed, entrance is 20$ during the holidays season 10$ on regular days.

Beautiful park located at the shores of the Grapevine Lake. Theres an entrance fee of $10 per car and its open on Sundays until 7h40 pm. Families typically come here to do BBQs and the kids swim. There are extensive trails at the north end with different paths extending for over 20 miles where people can walk, run or bike. A suggestion to the staff is to do some cleaning at the south tip as I found litter in the woods and also close to the water.

Grapevine lake is a pretty spot! We took the Northshore Trail 1, on foot! It was a nice trail, half of the trail sidetracks the road and some parts across the lake view, which is quite spectacular. Overall a good experience for a Saturday morning trail. Stay mindful of the cyclist s and give way!

Its a tiny little park. When you arrive theres a park attendant in a tiny shack to charge you $10 entry fee. We asked him if there were bicycle trails and he said yes but he lied. Theres barely a rough trail for hiking and no way for cycling! Its a barren unimpressive lake front park unattended and poorly laid out. Save your time and money and pass this place up. Its not worth it!

Nice trail except the start of the trail. Couldnt find the trailhead from the parking lot or when I tried to exit the trail after running. Kept getting turned around, the start and finish need better markings. Other than that a really nice trail, great views lots of shade. Must keep head in swivel for bikes if running, but all were willing to share trail.

Beautiful. We had the Jackson Pavilion. Everything was great, except the rest rooms werent working, we were told to put water in the tank, but the park guy didnt have an access to where the tank would be. It was not a pleasant situation. There was a port a potty, which was inundated with flies and other insects. We were having a family reunion, some hadnt seen each other in more than 15 years. So it was pretty significant. We made do, we took trips to the 7-11 or the Kroger, which was about 2 miles away. But the lake was beautiful.
