First room we got it smelled like rotten eggs, it s was nice and clean just smelled bad. The guy was able to change our rooms to an handicap double queen room and offered a free drink to accommodate our stay. Which he was very nice. But the new room Tv had a shortage in it, the phone did not work and looked like it has been through somethings. My husband is 6 3 and his legs were hanging out the bed. I don t think they are true Queen size bed maybe full size beds. The air conditioner did not circulate the room and keep it cool like it should have on 60, we reported that and the way the reception talked and was familiar with the problem, it seemed like that was a common problem but she was suppose to be following up with a fan and we never heard anything else and again the phone did not work, I did report that. There is one elevator working for 6 floors so it would take like 15 minutes for the elevator to come to the floor you needed it, which was fine but taking the stairs was very hard because it was so HOT. We were just over the trip and did not want to complain or have to move rooms anymore so we dealt with what was given.

Overall the hotel is a good, but a few issues. The rooms and hallways were clean and kept well. However the front and rear hotel entry ways were unkept and dirty. One of two elevators was broken, as was the case two years ago when I was there. And, the roadway leading onto and inside the property is in desperate need of repair. It s unfortunate, but the road and entry ways will prevent me from staying again. Safety: Well lit parking areas and rear entrance required a room key card entry 24/7, thus requiring others to enter the front doorway.

Great hotel with nice people but be forewarned. Im average height (6) and I DONT FIT ON THE BED. Ive had to choose all night between hanging my feet off the end of the bed like Andre the Giant or bonking my head on the headboard. Im writing this review at 3:45am because this is the most miserable night of sleep Ive had in a loooong time. Note to ownership; buy bigger mattresses!

Ive stayed at many Hyatt Place hotels around the country and am a big fan of the chain. This is a clean hotel with large rooms. The hotel is a bit dated and could use a remodel. There is a free breakfast with standard breakfast for the chain. Again, a good place to stay but they should update the hotel in the near future. Rooms: Large rooms that feel a bit dated. Nearby activities: Shopping at Grapevine Mills Safety: I felt safe here Walkability: Not really a walkable location but its next to Grapevine Mills, which is a great place to walk. Food and drinks: Free breakfast. No room service Noteworthy details: Next to Grapevine Mills and very close to DFW and the Gaylord Texan

We actually only had the room for transit. Its okay, but not necessarily for longer stays. Good location but definitely if you want to go shopping again. Its a 5 minute walk to the mall. Rooms: We had a room directly facing the street. The room was huge, but unfortunately the furnishings were a bit run down and should be replaced gradually. Nearby activities: There is a large mall within walking distance, which was really great. We went straight there to eat and do some shopping.

Thank you to the front desk team for the wonderful service on our overnight layover, they held our luggage after checking out and offered shuttle service but we had to Uber due to another group going to the convention center via shuttle, the team caught that we were getting into an Uber and offered us a courtesy credit which I was not at all expecting, will be staying there again. Rooms were of course good, breakfast is included if you re so inclined.

They have a SERIOUS security and safety problem, scroll down for details. Check-in was fast and efficient. The lady at the desk was friendly and helpful, she made an excellent restaurant recommendation. Elevator finishes were quite worn with lots of chips, dents, scrapes etc. for some reason the ceilings were removed from both of them. The room was a bit worn but most definitely clean. Bed sheets etc were clean and the mattress was on the softer side. We bring our own pillow cant comment on theirs. Mini-fridge worked well, we did not use the little coffee maker. Breakfast was good, hot items were eggs, breakfast potatoes, and sausages. Cold was typical bread, bagel, cereal, etc. I dont drink coffee, my wife said it was ok. Now to the safety issue. We stayed 1 night in a king room. On the check-out morning I went down to get breakfast and coffee for the wife. Upon getting back to the room I noticed I didnt hear the door lock mechanism unlock when I swiped the key card. Upon further investigation I discovered the door was ALWAYS unlocked. The outside handle would not lock! Nothing I could do would lock the door from the hall handle, he deadbolt worked, but if we left the room it would be unlocked! No way this was not on purpose or at a minimum the maintenance staff is clueless. Maybe a coincidence, IDK, the light just outside the room in the hallway was not working either. Look at the pic I uploaded, down the hall you call see the light fixture on the right side wall is not working. New rule for us in hotel rooms, check the door to be sure it locks.

I stayed here for two weeks in two different rooms. I travel a lot for work and this was the most convenient place for me since it is 10 minutes from my office. The room is spacious but theyre humid when you first walk in. In the second room I stayed in, I was on the third floor. To be frank, the hallway smelled like someone pooped outside and my room smelled like weed the entire stay. To combat the smell, I lighted a candle, but was a very uncomfortable smell. The staff is very friendly and the cleaners are super nice! They noticed I had my makeup out and left a couple makeup remover wipes for me which was a nice gesture. All in all, it was a great stay but the hotel needs to clean a little better for the smells.

Dirty room and had to change to a new. Boa feathers, hair in the bathroom, and on pillows. Greasy drawer handles. The front desk lady was watching shows on her phone, and we couldnt get bar service. I guess she thought we were just standing there because we had nothing better to do. Breakfast was always out of hot items and was only refilled with only enough for 3 to 4 portions at a time. The two gentlemen men working the desk were very attentive. Rooms: Dirty, see review Food and drinks: None offered even though there was a bar by the front desk lady. We even asked her if they had a happy hour. She said no and continued watching he video sitting at a table.

This place is in major need of an update! It really is run down quite a bit. Most of the staff is really good though (when theyre not staring at their cell phones) and I agree with one other commenter on here regarding the breakfast. You guys are obviously recycling that french toast over and over again! That was absolutely terrible; little rectangles of slightly sweet chewy bread! I probably wouldnt stay here again unless they put a little more care into the property. Nearby activities: If theres no other options I suppose its a decent place if youre going to meow wolf or Legoland or any of the other attractions at Grapevine Mills

Honestly I was expecting more. At a $200 a night price tag I was not anticipating the likes of a $60 a night room. Disappointed that I didn t research more because I f I did I would ve seen others have complained about the same thing. Best thing here is the location and convenience of the mall being nearby. Rooms certainly need some updating and the positioning of the TV while visible to the couch area, it s barely visible from the bed. If you re going to charge that much per night I don t mind it, but atleast make the necessary renovations and updates to be worthwhile. Here for a week and I m very fortunate to have only booked here for one night.

Rooms weren t anything special our bedding looked like it had just been folded on the bed and not really washed like you know how when your stuff isn t too dirty so you reuse it that s how it felt. The breakfast buffet was just scrambled eggs some stick sausage and some generic sliced French toast(as pictured). No waffles 3 cereals Only orange juice And only decaf or regular coffee They did have some stale bagels, croissants and bread toast. Will definitely not come back. Just finished a ten day stay so we could host holiday guests in our home. Location was perfect as it was close to our home but also across the street from the mall, we took advantage of that and got some early morning shopping done. While the rooms could use some updates, the staff and service make up for it. I had one issue during my stay and Gege handled it quickly and made up for the issue. I didn t get the names of the other staff but everyone I encountered was pleasant and professional. Breakfast had ample of choices.

Another very nice stay. Two nights - a night before & after my annual flight to & from my condo in Mazatlan, Mexico. Nancy & her front end ladies are super friendly & efficient, managing the phones, front desk & restaurant /bar. Nancy & Helen both made my first stay there several years ago so nice, I always stay there & recommend it to friends traveling through DFW on their way to Mazatlan. The airport shuttle is comfortable & reliable. I missed Keith on my return trip, but both the other drivers were very nice. Breakfast is always good - above average. The room was very clean & bedding comfortable. The staff are all very really accommodating & make you feel welcome. I just booked a night at the Virginia Beach Hyatt Place Oceanfront & hope it will be as nice as the HP Grapevine.

Great people. Great breakfast. Great value. Comfortable room. And an airport shuttle. It doesn t have all the amenities of the expensive hotels, but just enough. I like this type of quiet and economical experience when I travel, when the hotel is not your destination (i.e., the hotel itself is not the reason that you come to Dallas, unlike the big glitzy Vegas hotels), but the hotel is the place where you want to rest in comfort and convenience after a busy day.

This hotel is okay, but it could be better. The only thing that needs to be fixed is service, because it is HORRIBLE. The lady at the front desk was really nice, but the first sign this place seemed a bit weird was when we got in the elevator. It was dark (very dim lighting) and the tiles had what looked like a bunch of dirt and dust. The hallways and other public rooms are also almost dark. The room itself is nice. However, the rooms don t have microwaves. Also, the mirror that s a door to the small closet is a bit confusing, because there s no way to signify that it s a closet (No handle, etc) I only recommend this hotel if you re staying for a short time (between 1-3 days) Overall, it s a good place.

Good location. Stay was fri - mon. Weekend breakfast is sub par compared to weekday breakfast. Room smelled of musty mold and dog urine on check in. Elevator, floors and room were not clean. The floor in our bathroom had a severe lean so that when I first stepped in I fell and injured my leg. Also the seat was the wrong size for the toilet .We requested a new room and were told none were available. Furniture in the room was old and broken and chipped. Mold growing under one cabinet and the cabinet the refrigerator was in was broken , rotted and had mold. The hall and elevator reeked of weed the entire stay. At midnight people were having large gatherings in the lobby, running up and down halls. From the outside it looked ok. Inside was another story sadly. Last hyatt experience ever.

The rooms were okay. The location wasn t all that bad, depending on what the purpose of your travel is. The service was shameful! It was always hard to find someone working the desk in the evening. The bartender is the concierge which is fine, but when you are trying to get something from the desk, the concierge may be making a drink, or the bartender may be checking someone in, or running having to go fetch something for someone. I literally watch a girl walk behind the bar, make her own drink and the take a swig off the bottle because know one was around.

I booked this particular hotel b/c the front desk told me there was a free shuttle that went between the hotel and the Gaylord Convention Center every 30 mins. In reality, the shuttle is randomly there and you always have to wait. Once we called after waiting at the Convention Center for over 30 mins and they said it would be there in 15 mins. We ended up waiting an hour and 15 minutes. Then, after I complained, the manager on duty said they had a list so you could make appointments. That would have been nice to know about when I checked in vs 3 days later. The reservations helped us for getting to the Gaylord, but it was still unpredictable and unreliable getting back to the hotel from the Gaylord. The last straw was when we called to request a pickup from the Gaylord back to the hotel and I asked for an estimated time. The guy at the front desk put me on hold to see where the driver was and then he said the shuttle was on its way to the airport so it would be a 30 - 45 min wait. We made other accommodations and made it to the hotel on our own less than 10 mins later, and the shuttle was parked in front of the lobby! I had to waste a lot of money on Uber rides back and forth on this trip because the shuttle service was so poorly run. The staff needs some basic customer service training as they didnt show any empathy in tone or body language at all. One guy in particular had a very rude demeanor and rolled his eyes at us when we asked for his help. In general we seemed to be an annoyance instead of valued customers. The lobby and elevators had no air conditioning or the AC was severely broken. Keep in mind, this was during August in Texas when it is horribly hot. I would break out in a sweat every time I went to breakfast or had to wait in the lobby for the shuttle. Im sorry, but thats completely unacceptable. Some other things to note were: the elevators were incredibly slow and one was out of service part of the time, the downstairs mens bathroom was completely flooded with water all over the floor and it got all over my shoes, and one day there was a puddle of pee on the floor of the elevator. I alerted the staff about the pee when we left and at least he seemed to care and go tend to it. Overall, this was the worst hotel experience I have ever had. I was so disappointed that these factors impacted a trip that was supposed to be a fun, relaxing time. Needless to say, I will never stay at this hotel again.

I got this hotel for Quakecon. Granted we been to Hyatt hotels all over Texas and love it. This one particularly was terrible! AC didnt work. I was sweating just looking through my luggage. Fridge wasnt working, tv wouldnt turn on, fan for shower you could hear the motor but no fan. And bed/floor under the bed was slanted. We left after 1 night and had bought a hoodie from convention. We left it on the bed by accident. An hour after we left the hotel to Gaylord while unpacking we realized and called the hotel. They said there was no hoodie. I will say this once. I know we left it on the bed cause I took it out of my bag for my wife to grab and she thought I put it in her bag. They told me they will call once cleaning done. Never called. I made a complaint and they told me they made note to manager and I will be contacted soon. Never got the call so I made this review. For now on Im going to Gaylord every year for conventions. Its only $60 difference and WAYYY BETTER!

My youngest is 11 months and 3 weeks what if he landed on that. This was very unacceptable! I like the fact you located in the middle of everything. The breakfast wasnt that good at all. Im use to making my own waffles instead of them already being made for us. I wouldnt recommend this hotel to anyone. The good at this hotel is Roe. She gave great customer services while helping me book the room! Thats why I gave them two stars cause her but if it wasnt for her it would be zero stars if zero was an option.

Great location, directly across the road from the Grapevine Mills mall. There is plenty of well-lit parking. The staff were very nice and helpful. Beds were soft and comfy, which I like, but might be too soft for some with back problems. That ends the benefits of this Hyatt Place. The elevators are slow, very shaky, and sometimes non-functional. Our room smelled like something sour, which was resolved by the hotel by spraying some sort of air freshener, which lasted all of about 30 minutes. They said the hotel was completely booked and could not move us to a different room. The air conditioner was completely useless. Left on 60° and High Cool for our entire stay and the room was still about 80°. Very stuffy, barely blowing at all. Pretty miserable to try sleeping in. We booked this hotel mainly for the outdoor pool for our boys, but when we got to the pool there no towels in sight, and the pool walls are coated in green algae / mold, and the water was so cloudy you couldnt see the bottom. I had booked an early checkout and late checkin so that we could enjoy the pool during this unbearably hot summer, and we ended up not even getting in. Way too gross to risk our health getting in. The free breakfast was decent, but the eggs were powdered, and the bacon was paper thin. The pastries, muffins, and French toast sticks were cold. We ended up checking out at the normal checkout time and marking this hotel as a NEVER AGAIN. Im usually meticulous about checking Google reviews before booking, and I failed to do this time because there are PLENTY of recent reviews that corroborate my complaints. So I guess it shows that Hyatt or whatever company managing this hotel does not care, and these issues wont be fixed. So, take my advice and steer clear of this hotel!!! Even at the cheapest rate, its NOT WORTH IT. Nearby activities: Across the street from Grapevine Mills Mall and all the surrounding restaurants and activities.

The rooms arent great. It has a general run down feel, not what one would expect from a Hyatt. Room had worn wood, loose fixtures, and a temperamental AC unit that required staff intervention to get running. Elevators were also rough and I always wondered if they were going to malfunction at any minute. Ive stayed here before and its sad to see it being neglected like this. Staff was friendly and helpful as always, but I think Ill be considering a different option next time I come to Grapevine unless they do a massive refurbishment on this hotel.

Hyatt seems to have disowned this property some time in the 90 s. Bulbs in room were all different color temps, 24 Hour Fitness Center is smaller than one guest room, exercise bike has no straps on pedals and would not turn on, the elliptical did not work and if it did it looks like you would shock yourself changing the resistance (photo), the treadmill is severely rusting, the room layout is awkward, and there are too many things that look like the photo (light in the shower) that makes it look like Hyatt does. Not. Care. About. This. Property. Feels like a Motel 6 or Days Inn. Also - why would you put in a pool and have zero room windows that look out to it ? It s in kind of an ugly area - the pool would be pretty to look at .

I would have given star if I was just rating the room by itself, but I gave 2 stars overall because of the great customer service, front desk was friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was pretty good as well, ok location. The room itself however was not good. It would be comparable to a run down Super 8 or even a motel 6.Rooms need to be updated, the wifi is so slow, its unusable. Bathroom looks like its from the 80s, furniture is beat up, and the TV is from the 90s. The AC barely worked, and most frustrating of all, they only had one working elevator. This hotel is definitely not worth the price point, Id stay somewhere else. But again the front desk workers were great. Rooms: They sucked

Convenient to DFW location doesn t outweigh the lower quality here. Our double queen suite looked nice and somewhat modern with pretty artwork, but had numerous issues. We just wanted to crash and watch tv, maybe a movie but alas neither tv nor remote worked normally even after a trek to the desk to switch batteries and then a person came to the room to fix it and didn t. We gave up. Bed was too hard for me so I didn t sleep well. All the built-in USB charging ports were very slow (30% charging for hours)so just use your block. No easily-accessible bedside outlet for my medical device. No outlets at all in sofa sitting area except at the desk in corner. Open vanity with huge mirror reflects light straight to bed area, disturbing sleepers. A/c worked okay. Breakfast was very good in a pristine self-serve buffet with lots of choices. Chairs in eating area old and cheap, squished almost to the floor lol. Evening desk staff seemed bored, morning staff cheery and chatty. For $140/night we expect a bit more at least a tv that works so this is a Hyatt brand look with Motel 6 function.

Great place to stay. Kinda hidden between two other hotels behind the mall. Friendly and professional staff. The king mattress in our room was too soft for us, so we slept on the sleeper sofa each night. Breakfast consisted of scrambled eggs, link sausage, assorted cereals, waffles, bagels, and assorted juices. We will definitely be staying here again. Nearby activities: There is plenty to do nearby. Huge mall, great towns within a short drive to the north and west. Walkability: The Grapevine mall is a three minute walk from the hotel. A huge Bass Pro shop is a 10-minute walk. Food and drinks: There is a bar in the main lobby.

It s not the worst, but certainly not the best. Old building with lots of character, poor tv resolution, bathrooms are laid out in such a way you have to stand over the toilet to open the door (weird). Lots of hallway noise and lots of airplane noise. The other three Hyatts inside the airport (DFW) are going to be better options. Nearby Hilton and Embassy Suites might be a better option. There s also Hotel Vin in Grapevine.

Comfortable and spacious very well laid out. Bed were the most comfortable Ive ever slept in. Plenty of pillows of several degrees of puffiness. No issue with the room, however, service was something else. Though satisfactory I felt it was on the minimalist side. No concierge and very basic service. It felt like the staff wouldnt go out of there way to assist you. Was somewhat disappointed with the Hyatt brand. This place dropped the bar on Hyatt standards. Rooms: Beautiful and spacious. WiFi was slow and unreliable.

Hyatt price, highway motel quality. Arrived at the hotel at 9 pm and the selected room was not available (despite I also completed the online check-in). I was told I could cancel my reservation, but clearly at that time and with 2 kids its not a real option. In the room the shower isnt working and some other small maintenance issue made my stay not a good one. For this price there are much better options

Well.... as we were walking in a roach was passing by. The front desk clerk chased it down and crushed it. Yeah not such a good first impression. Room was clean though, so thats the most important thing for us. It was me my husband and our 8 year old that stayed in the room. We used the pull out sofa but once we opened it the bed sheet had holes in it. So good thing we had brought an extra blanket. Room didnt have a microwave, which is very inconvenient. Also, the hotel description said they had a starbucks. We asked the front desk and their response was that the machine was down our stay was OK overall. Breakfast could have been better, it kept running out. I suggest make bigger portions and have someone in standy to replace the trays. It took a while for empty trays to get replaced.

You really need to have someone from corporate manage Hyatt Place Grapevine. My wife and I just adopted a newborn and we were staying there until we have permission to go back to our home state, and the quality control has been atrocious. Today our hot water stopped working and they told us to run it and it should come back on... The water was dark brown for the next several hours... They offered move us rooms and this was the quality of the water in the new room...it looks like milk how are we supposed make our babies bottles and clean his bottles in this... Additionally most of the amenities that are on the website do not exist...there is no 24 hour hot food and no market with prepackaged fresh food like the website and call line says... Apparently they do not have people to staff it, and with a newborn we were relying on late night and early morning food options This has been the single worst Hyatt experience of my life and will have me rethink my hotel choices in the future

So heres where Im at on this dilemma. I reserved a room at Hyatt Place Dallas/Grapevine location over a month ago. The reservation was for December 3rd to 5th, 2022. Our family was unable to keep the reservation so I called on December 1st to the hotel itself to cancel our reservation. I was told that the cancelation was good and there would be no charge to the credit card. 2 days later on December 5th, there was a $134.47 charge placed on my credit card by Hyatt place. I called hotel again and was told that this canceled and there should be no charge on my credit card. Well, its there. I was transferred to the Hyatt company by hotel clerk. Hyatt company assured me that they did not charge me for the room, that they do not show a reservation, that it was the hotel itself in Dallas/Grapevine that charged my credit card. I have called 3 or 4 times now and today is the 12th of December. I have still not seen the charge refunded to my card, although everybody I speak to at the hotel tells me that it should be refunded by now...12 days later. Why was my card even charged??? Will somebody please tell Jeremy that I need to get this refund ASAP. I did not stay, I was 5 states away.. I did cancel in advance and was told that I would not be charged. S.O.S. Im not happy about this!! Frustrated in Florida! Cindy W.

Rooms: We usually stay at the Gaylord, but we were able to get two rooms including breakfast here at the Hyatt for way less than the cost of one room over there. My best friend and I came here with our teenage sons, because we needed an extra room, now that theyve grown so tall. I came into town to do Main Street aGrapevine, and our annual Gaylord ICE trip. We would have been so cramped up all in one room. We were pleasantly surprised by the layout of the rooms which included the two comfy doubles and a long let out sofa bed. Our picky boys even enjoyed the breakfast of bacon, eggs, potatoes and cereal. They even had a shuttle to all of the nearby locations. Walking distance to the big Grapevine Mills Mall. The service was excellent and we look forward to visiting again. Nearby activities: Gaylord, Main Street, Grapevine Mills Mall
