Beer was mediocre and the bartenders were kind of rude. Their patio is nice and quaint, love the horizontal fence. I walked up to get my first beer and the bartender who was helping me was way more invested in talking to a regular. She asked me three times if I was closing out. No, I wasnt closing out the first two times you asked me. When I went up to close out my tab, they informed me my tab was already closed. I was confused, saying it wasnt me. She replied no, you closed your tab, unless theres someone else wearing the shirt youre wearing, so I walked away feeling stupid. Turns out my friend paid for my tab as a nice gesture, so the bartender was gaslighting me with her snarky comment.

Staff was friendly and beers were good. Service I would say was attentive. Oktoberfest was the best beer I tried. The best thing about the brewery is the layout. Cool patio and indoors had an upstairs. A couple TVs available. Ultimately though, the beers are just decent. The prices I think make it totally worth going. I d happily go back and try some more though I won t prioritize this spot over others in the area.

Awesome brewery with a delicious BBQ food truck right outside. We tried the Miracle blood orange wheat and the Weisser time Hefeweizen. And for BBQ we were blown away by the brisket Mac and cheese bowl and the Birria tacos - so so good! They also had some live music - perfect combo for a Friday night. Only request is to get some board games for people to play (we didn t see any there).

We had a long layover at DFW airport and took an Uber here to escape the airport. For a small fee they stored our bags and we enjoyed a beer. We stretched our legs by walking around Main Street Grapevine and then returned to Hop to pickup our luggage before a long international flight. Great spot to get some suds and fresh air.

Met a long time good friend there for a couple beers. Excellent selection of craft brews. The Oktoberfest was a spot on true Marzen with that sticky syrupy mouthfeel. The Pecan Porter is simply amazing. I can see why my friend has been a long time patron. Nice job!

Great beer, great food truck, and live music all in one place!!! Win-win!! Vaqueros barbecue was there for our last visit. They do meat right!!! The burrito is stuffed full of goodness meat, cheese, beans, yum. The tacos are tasty! We went with flights for the beers because there are so many tasty ones to try. They will let you sample if you re not sure. The live music was an added bonus! Dogs are very welcome. You may want to get an extra taco for Rover.

We rode our bicycles here from The Gaylord Texan Resort. It s a short ride even with beach cruiser bikes, but it was hot. This brewery was a nice refuge of shade, cool air, friendly people, and of course, refreshing beer. They have a nice courtyard and indoor seating. The beer selection was top notch. I don t normally go for wheat beer, but the heat demanded hydration. I tried the blood orange first and then the regular wheat. Both were amazingly tasty and easy to drink. After hydrating we checked out the food truck. Everyone around us were enjoying delicious looking food and the smell of smoked meat filled the air. I tried the beef brisket and my wife had a smoked Turkey sandwich. Both were phenomenal, as was the apple Gorgonzola slaw! I not only love this place, it is also worth a trip to try their beer. The little downtown of Grapevine is full of cool boutique style stores and wineries as well. Make an afternoon of it!

Its been a couple of years since Ive been to Hop and Sting. Their beer options seemed to have expanded quite a bit since then. There were quite a few creative options to choose from. It was also packed when I came. Both floors, plus the outside, which is a good sign. I overall recommend checking it out, if youre not in the mood for wine in Grapevine.

Hop and Sting. Where do I start. This place is like a second home to me. It all started with a need for beer, but it turned into so much more. After going a few times, I discover that I loved the deep intricate flavors of all the beers available. I then started attending the amazing trivia Sundays run by The Cat Does Mind, before I finally realized I wanted to spend every minute of every day here. This resulted in me joining the Lake Grapevine Runners and Walkers (LGRAW) and attending the weekly Tuesday runs. By attending these runs and frequenting the brewery, I got to meet the great beertenders that worked at Hop and Sting (H&S). In particlular, Khristian has been amazing and Karina, Mel, Katie, Mikey, Ross, Eric, and even new members like Bekah have made my time going to H&S amazing! I recommend every person thinking about going to H&S to go right way. You wont be disappointed in this amazing family theyve created here!

Really wanted to like this place. Beer was average and service was poor. Update: there was no sign saying no dogs were allowed upstairs and it was the only spot that was available. Multiple employees came up and said hi to my dog with no mention of it not being allowed. He was also asleep and in a stroller not bothering anything. Never asked for an exception to the rule but I ve been here multiple times with my dog and seen many dogs upstairs and nothing has ever been said. Disappointed in how it was handled by staff and your out of context reply confirms my opinion of this business.

Tasty local brews in a cool, chill setting. The patio is great if it s warm enough to sit outside. Lots of cool evening trivia events if that s your thing. They have a great selection of beers that works suit any palate. The Galactic Haze IPA is my current fave. They don t sell food, but you can bring in your own. Vaqueros BBQ has a food truck in the parking lot and makes pretty solid brisket. Pro-tip: Get a birria taco or 3 and thank me later!

Was really hoping to have a good experience here based on the reviews and friends recommendations. Maybe it was an off day where the staff was overwhelmed? Came for the beer + donuts event. It didnt seem like the staff wanted to deal with it at all. The only pleasant one I observed was the gentlemen helping folks with donuts. The event was uncoordinated with the goods in separate places, separate lists of names, and they kept running out of flight glasses/boards. It was pricey but the beer and donuts were tasty. Unfortunately I dont plan on going back due to the unprofessional behavior my group received.

We just went here on Tuesday night for bingo night. I have never played bingo before so this was my first time with a dobber and we had a great time. They has some great prizes as well which our table benefited from during the night. I tried two different seasonal beers, both of which tasted great. I really liked the Oktoberfest and then I tried an American ale that was in a merlot cask which tasted great. The patio here is very pleasant right now while it is cool enough to sit outside but warm enough that you do not even need a jacket. The food truck that was there serving Tacos and Gumbo had great food. The staff was very friendly and there was never a long line to get another beer. We had a great evening and suspect that we will be back for more great beer and good times.

Went to a great brewery tonight. @hopandsting. Being from WNY we have some of what I would say are the best breweries in the country but every beer I tried here was amazing and the staff was great too. There was a food truck there that was excellent as well @horizon76. Def a must hit if you are in the area. Just realized I forgot to mention the Brewers wife is from Buffalo and have a buffalo beer. A local brewery that gives back to the community all the while crafting awesome.and delicious beers. If I want something light, I go with Monarch which supports Keep Grapevine Beautiful. You want something heavy and delicious, Frigid Underworld, any version they do is *chefs kiss*

We had a wonderful time here. The food truck situation was delightful, the live entertainment was nice, the amount of dogs in the beer garden was phenomenal, and the beer was delicious. Thanks for a great night in Texas from these Wisconsinites!

They have good collection of beers, cans and on taps. Good ambience inside and out. They dont serve food, but there is an excellent foos truck just outside the brewery that serves excellent bbq. VAQUEROS TEXAD BBQ. Friendly staff, quick service and pet friendly with live music!

Great place to celebrate a Birthday and have a party! Attended invitation only Birthday party to celebrate a life long friend 75th Birthday. The beer, wine and food were outstanding! The food was catered by Vaqueros with the best Texas style BBQ ever!!!

My boyfriend and I have been several times. On dates with each other, with groups of friends, and my boyfriend has gone several times with just his friends. We have never had a bad experience! The beer is always delicious, it s a great atmosphere and the service is always good. Definitely one of our favorite spots in grapevine! We buy 6 packs of beer to take home

Outstanding brewery! If you re in the Dallas area, this is a must-visit. These folks are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. They take pride in their work and it shines through in their brews. My boyfriend and I enjoyed every beer we tried and will certainly be back. Thanks for having us!

Other area craft breweries should just quit right now. Put on the knee pads and bow down to your new beer overlords! Hop and sting is not a 1980 s buddy cop comedy as the name might make you think. No sir, it s the best beer made by the best people. Imagine if babe Ruth, hank Aaron, and Barry bonds made baseball bats. They would be good right? Think of the crew at hop and sting as the elite leaders in their field. They make beer so yummy you won t want to drink anything else. I hear if you fill your bathtub up with Aluminum Cowboy and soak in it for an hour it will make your manhood grow, you waist line drop and your skin smooth.

Only brewery in downtown Grapevine, thank goodness they have good beer! Great for families, awesome outdoor space with shade, friendly staff. Only negative (as mentioned by others) os variety of food options. The pizza food vendor that is occasionally there is delicious, but we stood in line for 40 minutes to order and did not receive our food for another 40 min. Our kiddos were about to mutiny. Also, it would be helpful for the food vendors to have texting or a pager system so you don t have to hover around the area and wait. We appreciate the family friendly atmosphere! Thank you :)

One of my favorite DFW breweries!! The beer is really good, the staff was amazing, and they were great allowing my dog to be inside. The patio area is really big and perfect for cooler weather days. Im definitely going back and would suggest that everyone go at least once!

Our family loves finding family friendly breweries, restaurants, etc. We were excited to find Hop and Sting and enjoyed our time here. We arrived around 5:45 on a Saturday and were able easily find a seat outside. The outdoor area is nice even when it s a bit hot out because it s pretty shaded with trees and lots of umbrellas. Unfortunately there isn t a lot of seating inside so we re glad it s shaded but we were unsure if the office area that is in a separate building is also used for seating the door was open to this building and there were tables but that was a little unclear to us. We absolutely loved the beer selection. The first Saturday we went there were (2) different live musicians. The second musician a reggae performer was awesome! He was interactive with the crowd and at one point had all the kids performing with him. While the food trucks all have great service.. very friendly folks! There s not enough variety especially for families both trucks (diff times of the day) on the first Saturday and 1 on the second were all BBQ and not kid friendly. These would be our one request is more variety and options for kids!
