I love this restaurant/gas station. They have a wide variety of items, food, lots of wines, in-house BBQ, and more. I only gave the (produce) food two stars because it was always excellent.., until the cantaloupe gave me food poisoning. It may have been a fluke but, sadly, I can t recommend the fruit for this reason. I have not had any such issues with the actual restaurant side of the business, only the packaged fruit.

The pull pork was very old taste like at least 3 days old, we try the gyro too thw meat was old and flavor less, food is not fresh in this place, food is nasty and over price, we told this issue to the owner, he just told us go see mike, mike told us he is the owner, this people take advantage because is located near the convention center most of is we dont have car so we do uber to a near place to eat so we stuck, but the owner dont care, so dont waste your money time and effort here, go somewhere else where at least they care about your business

Place has terrible service. Every sandwich Ive gotten from their pre made section is either half cooked or so unflavored youre half tempted to test for covid in the hope that surely no one could be selling such flavorless garbage. On top of it, when purchasing tobacco in bulk they dont honor the bulk discount labeled on the packages. Talk about a greedy bunch of unfriendly people. This close to the airport with such unfriendly staff no wonder people get the wrong impression.

The owner was really friendly and walked around the tables asking people how everything was. The first slice of pizza was very cold but I bought it up front. Then we went to the restaurant and they were good and hot. Nice sorveniors. We bought a few name plates and wall plates either interesting messages. They were also promoting can fresh fruit juice. I loved the melon. They deserve the 5 stars.

Usually the food and service is good. This day we went out to order some ribs and the jalapeno cheese sausage. There were some language issues to make the person understand what I needed. They had then figured out, but the overall taste was not the usual , the ribs were not the fall of the bone and the sausage was not having the normal flavor ..surely a may try again place.

DO NOT BUY GAS WITH A DEBIT CARD!!!!! They put a $175 hold on my card for $20 worth of gas!! This is ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS! I understand maybe putting a $1 hold but $175! This has pushed my account over to the point that I m have no money, not including all of the other items pending in my account. I will be reporting to the BBB. This is so wrong! Have had good luck here in the past. Visited today (3/29/24) and while the bbq was good, I had a small issue. Perhaps this was accidental. There was a language issue with the server. I ordered sliced beef but he started making a chopped beef sandwich. We got that corrected and he made the sliced beef with an unusually small amount of bbq. Was tasty as usual but just wanted to note that there wasnt much of it. About half the normal amount. Asked if I wanted sauce and I told him yes, a very small amount. Received way too much sauce. Again, I assume he didnt understand me. Sauce was very sweet and not particularly good. Ill continue to use them, but will be on the alert for this particular server. Possibly just a training issue.

I ate at one of these in the Van Zant area and it was just plain nasty. The ribs had a green color to them and they threw a 1 slab of what they called sliced ham on my plate. The potato salad was good and ended up throwing everything else in the garbage can where it all probably came from !

We are guests accross the street at a large theme park type hotel on holiday. We decided to look for better food options and found this restaurant. I tried to order dinner online and was not able to. I called and spoke to an employee and his reply was to try and order online. Well I tried again to no avail. Well when I called back, no one would answer. My guess is, they were more concerned about going home for the evening. It was 7:30pm and they close at 8pm. I made it to the restaurant and was greeted with a look of annoyance. They served us our order to go but then I discovered that the prices online are 2 years old. I saw a picture of the menu online and it led me to believe we were spending $59.99 but they rang it up for $89.99. I explained to employee that this was a huge difference and could end up being an issue for them if they don t change it. I was met with indifference. I m not sure if anything will be done, but if they care about their establishment they should update the pictures on the Google site.

This BBQ in a gas station is no joke. This place is like a local and friendlier Bucees. I had the brisket, corn, and smothered potatoes. Brisket was good for a chain, the corn was amazing, the potatoes were standard. The cornbread was standard cornbread, but nothing to write home about. I would come here again for a quick lunch.

Third time here and first of all, the food is actually quite good. I really enjoy the sliced brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce. The disappointing part is the customer service and questionable hand washing / training practices. Not terribly surprised about the low energy and mumbling speaking customer service from young adults, but I do have a serious concern about sanitation for all people involved. Wearing the same pair of gloves for long periods of time is like not wearing them at all. They too get dirty. Especially after sweeping the floor, running fingers through hair or being on cell phone. Wash hands in front of customer for peace of mind, put gloves on, serve food, then immediately discard until next customer. Most people have this false sense of security that simply putting on gloves without washing hands is somehow sanitary. NO, it s not! Touching clean gloves with dirty hands now makes the gloves dirty. Not sure if I ll be back.

Hearing the music competing with a blaring tv was about enough to drive me crazy, I don t know how the people working there can stand it. 10/16 Update - This place is such rubbish that the email address in the response - provided a full week after my post, so seems they really dont care all that much - isnt even real, I got an error message when I tried to reply to ask just what part of my review they didnt understand and if theyve ever actually seen a REAL Loaded BBA Baked potato at ANY other BBQ place in the state let alone even mega-chain Dickies up the street. If theyd like I could come by, waste $12 on another one of yours then buy a REAL one somewhere else and do a side-by-side pic and all could see the pathetic attempt they have on offer, how about that? This place is one of the worst BBQ places I ve every been in Texas and in a tourist town where this is THE Texas BBQ experience that people accidentally go to because there are limited other really close options when they are staying at Great Wolf or elsewhere, frankly it should be shut down by the Chamber of Commerce for fraud. It s a GAS STATION AND THE Q is small, terrible and an embarrassment to Texas. If you are from Out of town, PLEASE don t eat here, either go to Meat U Anywhere, Hard 8, Dickies or ANYWHERE else, if these are closed, PLEASE take a pass on your Texas BBQ experience until others are open

This is referring to the convenience store part. Not the restaurant. I tried to find where I could leave a review for that but this is all I could find. I went in there to get a gallon of milk and a half gallon of chocolate milk. The guy rings it up and says $15 (and change) . I m like what??? He says $8.69 for the gallon snd $5.49 for the half gallon . I said that is outrageous!! I did not buy it, I said I ll go somewhere else. I drove up to Braum s and got the same stuff for $7 (and change)!! Talk about ripping of the community! I have never heard of those prices anywhere!! I absolutely will not go back there m! I m not paying for your new bougy store! I understand inflation and prices are going up, but that is the most outrageous prices I have ever seen!! Walked in at 7:20pm today 8/7/22 and the staff was cleaning and mopping with all the food put away. Asked if they were still serving was told nope we re closed . Ate a chopped beef sandwich there yesterday 8/6/22 was over priced for mediocre day old brisket bun was stale meat was tender but tasted heavily of liquid smoke. I only started coming to this place to charge my Tesla. Every night I come in here, I have to deal with an incredibly rude, short woman at the front. Ask her a simple question regarding a product? I am appalled at the service I received tonight from Ryan the cashier. I accidentally spilt a glass drink as I picked it up and he has the audacity to charge me for it plus another one that I ended up getting because I spilt it. I could not believe it. Who has ever charged someone for an accidental spill ?!! Especially one that is glass and easily breakable. My boyfriend talked to a different employee at another location and he told us that is NOT a policy.. to charge for something that is an accident and then Ryan has the audacity to tell us there is no manager to contact, and not a single email address to address. I have been coming here forever and I am so disgusted by this Ryan employee. He said he would be charged for the drink if he didn t charge us .? Then we said.. where is that stated in your employee handbook.. he said there is no employee handbook I just know that s how things are this is in no way about the almost $5 charge . This is about how Ryan approached the situation I have never once been charged for an accidental spill and I am amazed at how this guy handed this situation. Disgusted.

Best shouldnt be in the name of this restaurant. The brisket was extremely tough couldnt cut it with a plastic fork and knife. The macaroni definitely was over cooked by about 10 minutes. The loaded mashed potatoes was ok. Here is a tip for the owner of this place smoke your brisket lower and slower. My suggestion is smoke your meat at 200 degrees for 18 to 24 hours. Add more salt and pepper. This will bring out more of the flavor. You would think living in Texas we would be swimming in good BBQ. If you need help improving you should definitely hire me.

CHARGED for FOOD that I didnt receive!!! Hey, I NEED FEFUND, NOW!!! The staff didnt speak english, but for the exception of one person who barely spoke english... he upped the price of the food after I swiped my credit card! Then said I had 2 meats, but I only had one. Then the man wanted me to swipe my card again and charge me more money! So, I decided to decline swiping my credit card again. The man literally changed it where after I swiped my cc the screen went black then showed a price $3 dollars higher saying it was tax, but my card was already charged on the first swipe.. The BBQ BRISKET looked fatty. But I did not get any food because I didnt want to be overcharged and pay twice for one meal, so I left empty handed and did not receive any food! The man said, my card didnt go through, but I looked at my bank statement and I was charged for it! I demand a refund, for a purchase I didnt receive! I have a charge for a tank of gas and for food I didnt get! Trying to figure out how to get a refund. What a rip off!

I only get 30mins for my lunch and I dont work far from the grapevine location so it only took me 5mins to get there which put me on location at 7:14pm and the closing time is 8pm according to hours of operations. But when I walked in and they were closed at that time and I asked the ladie behind the BBQ register if they were closed she stated that they closed at 7 on sundays and just walked out, even tho their hours of operations dont reflect that. My brother spoke about this place to me at least a year ago and I continued to pass it up. Needless to say that would be a bad choice for anyone else if youre looking for some good barbecue. I visited 3 times in the last month and can guarantee im not done yet. Everything Ive tried so far is absolutely great. Each and every piece of meat Ive gotten has been moist and full of that smoky flavor. This is definately one to try folks if youre looking for that good smoked meat. 9/12 at 4:27pm- The store looks beautiful, however they need replace all employees. Front entrance workers were seating at the top of the counter. Food area, even worse.. the workers didn t know what they were doing and didn t even know how to serve the food. They treated the food like cafeteria food. Slapped the sides on the plate with no care and dripping the food everywhere. It was disgusting and unprofessional.

Only reason Im giving one star is Google dont allow me to give no star at all. The food here is not fresh. The Mac n cheese which there was only one scoop left of it and it was very dry looking, the rice wasnt cook in water,well at least thats how it looked very dry as well. Chopped beef was nothing but fat meat. Over all I will never go back here. Customer service sucks as well. #yuck

Lived in Texas all my life and I know good BBQ. I stopped by to grab a quick lunch and ended up ordering take out for the fam. The brisket was juicy and flavorful with a good bark and great sauce. We loved the loaded potato casserole. My kids gobbled up all the sausage. I never expected gas station food to be so delish! Service was fast and friendly. The gas station area has the outstanding selection of beer, wine and even fresh produce. Whenever we pass through Grapevine this will be our BBQ stop!

We stayed at great Wolf Lodge for five days and decided to eat here for lunch on our 3rd day. The pulled pork sandwiches were absolutely amazing we came back everyday for lunch until we left!!! My 9 year loved the loaded baked potatoe, and my 13 year old swears by their big juicy burgers. On our last day we decided to do breakfast and they did not disappoint! 5 dollar HUGE burritos . I don t want to leave out how amazingly clean the entire place was including the restrooms. The customer services was above and beyond we wish we had this same place in our town. Julia that works in the deli is a absolute charm and remembers customers after the first time. I could go on and on! Thank you so much for your excellent food and customer service!!

This is the best brisket I ve ever had! It was so tender and flavorful! The customer service was unbelievably amazing and quick!!! You feel right at home at this establishment. I ran in during my lunch break and was back to work in time. The employe named Ryan was so kind and really took care of me. Tip: ask for Ryan and order the brisket sandwich.

The place is wonderful! The service is quick and friendly! I ordered a Baked Potato Dinner fully loaded and they put a substantial amount on top. The setup is similar to a subway where you go down the counter with rows of toppings and sides to choose from, and they are perfectly ok with you asking for extra. Also, check out the store on the side; their fruit tastes amazing! :)

Place looks nice . Tesla supercharger is outside. That is it for positive. Service should be little faster. I got baked potato diner , for almost $20 you would expect more than sprinkle of brisket on your baked potato. So I couldnt let you know how it tastes because I didnt have enough to taste it. This is a wanna be Bucees. Dont take this the wrong way, it is a fun place to visit. Its like they are trying to be like Bucees but just not all the way. The name is just that, just a name. The BBQ wasnt bad, but it definitely wasnt the BEST. The price says its better than what it is even though It was enjoyable. The smoked sausage was good, but really didnt taste any different than if I had bought it at the store and cooked it in the oven. The brisket didnt have a lot of flavor except for the sause it had on it. The sauce was very good and it is what made the meat taste good. The cornbread was sweetened perfectly to my liking, but it was a little on the dry side. The store was very clean, but then again I believe it was literally their opening day. Staff was very friendly, again it was opening day. Bottom line -- If the BBQ was a couple dollars cheaper I would be completely satisfied, but they are priced higher than Mike Andersons in Dallas which would easily win in a throwdown.
