Blink and youll miss it. So make sure not to blink cause you dont want to miss this place!!! Easily the best Mexican food in the Metroplex! Ive eaten all over and no other restaurant compares to the flavor of El Jacalito!!! The service and environment are great too! Clean and well kept! Plus they have a drive thru if youre on the go. I highly highly highly recommend this as the best Mexican food in the city!

I been there twice last month, and pick up order today, eating there, it,s ok, food ok, and prices bit height. not that much, but what it bothers me today my o\portion on my order was a burrito, witch price a bit Hight already and I decided to order pastor burrito , and without knowledge the charge extra $ 5 for pastor meat, and just did the charge on our card, with out any consent, is not about the extra money, its about the issue you charge extra money , unfair , I know almost all places around this taqueria, all Mexicans, and I have better burritos for lees and more meat, and more sabor and season. so don,t take advantage of customers charging extra money with out consent, cause we have a lot of options. around . me personal I won,t go back there.

Ordered 3 carnita burritos and it was $28. They were large and extremely tasty but had to wait about 25 mins for them and it was slow and not at lunch time. Dont go if your in a rush..or call in your order 1st. I thought they were a little over priced compared to all the other places in the area..but again.they were tasty.

Dont go to eat there, a few weeks ago we went and while we were eating, a person from the next table stood up screaming and spitting, he had a live cockroach crawling around his tacos, we already had half of the food and we threw it away and left I dont know why the city of Grand Prairie doesnt get strict with these types of restaurants, these situations are very dangerous.

Food is decent, price is pretty high and i would ve given one more star if my torta didn t come with a mountain of mayo and pickled jalapeños. Completely didn t do it for me but their salsa is awesome and i didn t like how the kitchen was yelling out this better be to-go in Spanish (I was there at 8:45pm i wasn t looking to stay) to make your customers feel like a burden just isn t my cup of tea. Back to the food if you sort out the mayo situation it s actually pretty good.

It s pretty good if you don t have any food allergies. A friend of mine can t have onions because of their allergy, when asked to leave out onion it seems as though it is ignored because onion can be found, generally half way through the meal. I get that sometime big batches of food is made like rice, but some of the other food is made to order. They should do what they say, or state that they can t do that so people do not have medical incidents which these have and can cause.

I had come once and I liked it, I came to eat today and the truth is that the food is horrible, the meat is refried to the max and the Cuban cakes are not Cuban cakes at all, they dont have what they should have, very poor inside and without Good flavor, the tongue tacos are just steamed without any flavor. Food was OK I got the #2 sandwich with a Gordita, some fries, and a horchata. The meat was tough and just not of good quality, the fries were OK (no salt), and the sandwich wasn t that fresh. The Avocados were turning brown and the hot dogs and ham added in the sandwich were just all around a bad mix. The horchata was very plain and watered down as well. Paid $18 for everything and it really wasn t worth the money. I honestly wouldn t recommend this place to anyone.
