Got the worst attitude from employee there today.He doesn t know how to speak to customers given his reaction to us admiring boat there. Could have easily handled his approach differently. Hopefully this can be considered at time of hiring people to work there. We have been visiting this place for years and never been treated this way.

Took the family out on a pontoon rented at Lynn Creek. The process was simple and the staff were awesome! They were literally a call away when we needed assistance. Because we had to return to the marina for an issue, they extended our time with no hesitation! Big shout to Jakob for his professionalism and the rest of the crew that helped us out! My husband and I have been boat club members for over a year now, and cannot speak highly enough of the program. It s truly unbeatable from a convenience and value perspective. The staff are what really make the experience. I want to specifically recognize Evan for all of his help and kindness. My family went for a boat ride this morning. We had a great time and we come to this marina all the time and love it. However, as soon as we pulled up, Evan was extremely disrespectful and speaking so rudely to us about how we went to close to the shore. He was speaking so disrespectfully to my mother. Evan is not a good employee and should never speak to people like that. 10/10 do not recommend Evan.

I wish I could do zero stars. We have had a boat slip since 2020 and until SunTex took over I would have given 5 stars without hesitation. Since Suntex... our bill is always changing, they add charges but will not tell us what they are for (actually saying we dont know but you need to pay it) we are required to show proof of payment (I brought bank statements) only to be told that is not proof enough. They have NEVER returned a single phone call... and are NEVER available when you call or show up. And this last time I did get Johnathan on the phone (pure fluke because he answered) and that call resulted in Tina yelling at me and telling me that I have not made months of payments. I said I have my bank statements.. those dont work either. *update..here we are with another months payment due. Tried calli g to set up the ACH (again) but no one can take the payment and no one can manage to call back when a message is left.

Updated: A manager from the Marina called and offered to make up for some of the things I mentioned. It was a very fair offer and I didn t expect it. I appreciate them doing that. I ll start off by saying we got the boat and had a fun day. But I won t be going back due to their quality of service. Here were things I experienced the day of my rental. 1. Checked my email the morning of the rental to see I had a new reservation confirmation email come from them the day before. Where they had moved my rental time up an hour, cut my rental time from 8 hours to 4 hours, and left the price the same. I called them and though after some initial pushback because it s in the system they corrected it. Apparently their manager changed my rental for some unknown reason. Didn t bother to call or email to explain just made the change. 2. Got there and they are pulling up our boat. Notice it s not the same model as what I rented. Ask them about it and apparently they discontinued the boat I rented the day before. I had placed my reservation 10 days prior. If this was a thing why even offer it as a choice? 3. Went to grab our life jackets and they had nothing left except child size jackets. For a 10 AM rental. 4. The ladder on the back of the boat to get back in from the water was missing it s bottom step. Made for a fun time for all of us to get back in. 5. Checked their website to see the price of the boat we were given vs what we reserved. Looking at pricing for the same day of the week and the same duration of rental. The boat I was given vs what I was charged for the boat I picked was $235 cheaper. When I asked them at the end about this I was told - I was wrong but then pulled up their website and showed it to them. - Then it became that I was actually given a higher quality boat then what I reserved. I mentioned the one I reserved is listed to have 150 HP vs the one I was given is listed at 115 HP. Was told I know it says that on the website but it s not . I can t say for sure I m right but based off pictures of what I rented vs what we got. It sure didn t seem higher quality. - When I asked then why is it cheaper? I was told we must have a special next weekend but he couldn t provide evidence of it. - He then tried to provide me evidence of someone else s rental that showed that price was cheaper then normal. He couldn t do it. I don t think the kid was lying to me. But how can an employee not provide evidence of basic info like specials or pricing? Im guessing most people don t have the experience I had. But that experience created some unnecessary stress and sucked some of the joy out of the whole thing. This place really needs to work on their communication with their customers. Especially when that customer is paying nearly $1000 for an 8 hour experience.

rented one of the tritons, the black aloha. from start to end literally the most fun that I have had in a very very long time. filled the boat with 8 of us. they were informative, really quick to get us off the ground and into the water. 10 out of 10 recommend for the memories and experience, and the fun. The service at The Shackwas average at best. Do not order alcoholic beverages outside of beer. The drinks are awful, yet expensive. We waited 20 minutes for our two drinks (Margaritas) and they both tasted like a 4 year old made them (all ice, zero flavor and small). We paid 26 dollars for two terrible margaritas and 20 dollars for 12 wings that took 45 minutes to be delivered to our table. This was a Friday night at 8pm, but the restaurant was empty, due to awful food, long wait times and ridiculous prices. Disappointing is an understatement. Dont waste your time. Instead of ordering beyond the appetizers, we asked for the check and even that took another 30 minutes. We couldnt run out of there fast enough. Abso6awful experience.

We love relaxing and feeding the fish, ducks, and birds! Great for a brisk walk or date night! I havent eaten at the restaurant since its been under new ownership but the previous owners made really good po boy sandwiches.

It was okay. Food was okay and the Sangria Swirl was not. The drink had some red liquid at the bottom and what looked like semi frozen ice foam sitting on top. I tried to mix it into a swirl. It wasn t happening. As soon as I stopped mixing, the red fluid sank to the bottom of the glass. I ordered a glass of Sauvignon Blanc and that was good. My meal was a Wedge Salad and my husband had FishNChips.

Marina was recently sold, they removed the crappie barge, it was a big plus there. This is an update: The store is up and running, they sell minnows which is great!! Ive always love visiting this place!! Great ships store and restaurant!! I recommend visiting this marina, feed the large carp and have lunch in the restaurant

So, office staff for getting our pass were quick and polite, but thatsbwhere the fun ends sadly. Boat ramp is a nightmare. Amateur hour every single time. And getting through the harbor area is terrible, very congested and only a very thin channel when waters low. Harbor and boat ramp area are congested and unsafe with the boat and ski rental people with no experience. Hard pass!

Do not go boating here, it is a rip-off. Young kids try to train you and then when you return from the boat, they give you unnecessary fines. They do not even tell you that they charge your card. My husband and I went and it was a disaster. They ruined our mood. Go somewhere else where you are treated with respect.

If you have a chance to book The Wave, do it! We had the pleasure of attending a company outing yesterday and it was wonderful! In the heat of the summer, theres no better place to be. We coasted out in the lake, anchored down and spent several hours relaxing in the water, kids playing on the slides, fishing and more! It was a great time and the crew made us hotdogs and hamburgers for dinner. Thank you to The Wave staff for allowing us to have a memorable experience, we hope to do it again!

We recently sold our boat. Wanted to try a Pontoon to see what they are like so decided to rent one. Pontoon was in great shape, rode very smooth. The speed is governed around 20 mph, so was pretty boring trolling the lake instead of being able to get it up to speed. Customer service was attentive, but was a Monday morning so very empty. 2 hours into trip and gas was nearly gone. Decided we just return it early and head home. I was a little confused at the process of time frame of rental though. We had a 10-2 time slot. Got there at 930 as requested. Signed paperwork at 9:39 so boat should of been due at 1:39. I looked at emailed paperwork while on the boat and it checked us in at 9:09 and it stated boat was due at 1:09. I was still home at 9:09 and I tried explaining that to the guy but they didn t update. Had we kept the boat out till my assumed time, we would of retuned it late and probably charged for it. It appears they automatically check you in 30 minutes early, which is a rip off. Please review your check in procedures and allow allotted time paid for.

Charge $40 for a boat launch fee during 4th of July weekend. Complete vultures considering there are only a handful of launch points on the lake. Also some of the staff are straight up rude who like to chit chat and hold up the line at the boat ramp

Overall a quality experience BUT they are DEFINITELY not very organized. Your boat will likely not be ready at your reservation (in our case it was completely on them). Thank he worst part is they DO NOT give you extra time, so if you book 4 hours and they bring your boat an hour late, they will only let you go out for the remaining 3 hours. What kind of sense does They are unapologetic about this and don t even offer a partial refund. If you are ok with this, then you can have a good time staff is very nice, patient and professional. Also, one of the employees told us we could put 12 people on the boat but when we got there, we were told they WILL NOT let us go out with more than 10. Two people had to go home .They company just does not set the employees or customers up for an ideal experience. I live 5 mins away from here but might drive to Lewisville for a better experience. Purchase with caution
