It s been a minute since I been to Mixed Burgers never had a problem till now I order the two piece catfish basket first of all this isn t real catfish look like whiting I asked for my fish to be fried hard and I waited for at least 15 minutes if not 20 for my meal while I was waiting the lady who was frying my fish was ti bust talking to the cook and even tho I said fried hard that dinner mean hard and burnt even the hush puppies was burnt as well as the fries which was burnt and hard and cold the lady who took my order seem impatient and everybody was just doing their own thing as I hear the fryer beeper go off the lady hit the button or something and continue to let my fish fry this is the most nasty fish I have eaten as well as salty I will not be back no time soon because people ought to put an effort in everything they do this meal was disgusting and I can eat it just $15 waisted. I m very disappointed.

Came in from MD looking for food around our hotel. Can t speak for the burgers however the wings were very good. Only points lost were for the wings not being tossed in sauce, they were drizzled on. Service was very good. Atmosphere loses points for the cigarette smoke smell and there s no alcohol. The bar next door is the cause for the smell however it still was a factor. If you re staying at a hotel near this restaurant, give it a visit for easy good food.

The lady at the register kept trying to over charge me for the Turkey burger like I can t read. The gobbler advertised for 10.75 and she rang it it up for $12.75. Once I said something to her she corrected it. But tried to charge an extra $3.22 for card use. I walked out they are scamming over burgers. And you are scamming cause I asked her what s the $3.22 was for? And she clearly said for card use SCAMMERS

Called in an order while staying at nearby hotel. Walked in and the place reeked like a dirty ashtray (I would have turned around and walked out if I hadn t already placed an order.) Went to pay only to automatically have a 20% tip added to my bill. I adjusted it to something more reasonable (still tipped $5 to put two burgers in a bag which is still ridiculous.) The bill seemed high so I looked at the receipt to see that not only did they upcharge me $3 for a slice of cheese and raw onion that I didn t even get, they also charged me another $3 for using a credit card. I get paying for order modifications (if you actually get what you are charged for) but being charged to cover whatever bad choices they made with a credit processor is just low rent and trashy.

Must try! Big juicy patties, packed with flavor. I always ask for med-rare. My go to is the ring of fire, tooter is amazing as well. Don t forget the fried mushrooms and corn nuggets. Few coin operated games for kids, plenty of space. Y all need to bring back the jalapeño poppers!!!

I recently visited Mix Up Burgers in Arlington, TX, and overall, I had a great experience. The burgers and fries were delicious, and the service was impeccable. A special shoutout to Jennifer, who made our dining experience exceptional. I highly recommend going on a Tuesday when they offer half-price burgers it s a fantastic deal! However, I am deducting one star due to the cigarette smoke smell as soon as you walk in the door. It was quite noticeable and detracted from an otherwise enjoyable visit. Despite this minor issue, Mix Up Burgers is definitely worth a visit for their tasty food and excellent service.

Update: Just had Mixed up Burger again tonight and it was just as amazing as it was a couple months back when I initially reviewed it. Again this place is a must visit! Amazing food. Great atmosphere. They were very busy and did not get around to giving us our check or refills, but the food was totally worth it. We hit this place every time we come to Arlington Area to go to Six Flags, Hurricane Harbor, Stars hockey, Cowboys football, Rangers baseball, or concerts. We are from Northern Oklahoma. This place has the best burgers I have found.

I dread posting reviews on small businesses, however I can t in good faith support Mixed Up Burgers any longer. This isn t the first time having issues but usually the problems have been resolved rather easily, my fault or not. Today s experience was one for the books. Be aware of using their online ordering system unless you have a masters in reading the owner of the restaurants mind. I made the mistake of assuming how to build my own burger and somehow selected to remove all the most important components of a burger. The order was pickup and brought back to work to enjoy, and bam 2 patties, with cheese. I called and was quite literally confused so when I got with someone (assuming I got someone else s order) asked about what I received and missing a bun, lettuce, tomato, onion, pickle. She went to find the order. Came back and The girl on the other end with the most sarcastic answer says well it s not my fault what you said no to all that. After conversing about how it was then setup in a confusing manner. She said I don t know what to say I went back to return the food for a refund and with attitude was told to wait for the owner to show up so they could give the refund!? What sort of restaurant doesn t have a manager to process a refund? I would think twice before ordering from here, like mentioned earlier if you don t have a mastering in mind reading.

Was in town and stayed at the hotel adjacent to Mixed Up Burgers, so had the pleasure to go a couple times. First time I ordered the Frito Pie Burger and it was delicious! The chili had a little bit of kick to it, but nothing the giant ZiegenBock for crazy cheap couldn t quench. One of the other times I went I got the Irish Nacho Burger. I wish the fried potato slices were more pronounced, but it was still pretty tasty. One time I got onion rings and the other time went with fries, I think I prefer the fries over the onion rings as they were a little too greasy. I wish it wasn t a separate charge for the side though If I m ever in Grand Prairie again, I d definitely go back and I made it back. Went with the Jethro this time based on the recommendation. VERY tasty. The Cajun spices add a lot of flavor, I personally wouldn t have been against more blue cheese (which is inside the patty) Delicious!

This place is actually nice on the inside. Deducted stars with this visit only because there was a very overwhelming cigarette smoke smell despite it looking very clean. Our waitress was great but the food wasnt as great as before. I asked for my fish and shrimp to be fried hard, which came out fine, but my onion rings had a greasy/burnt taste. The girls were ok with their Irish burger, and my husbands food wasnt as hot as everyone elses but the touchdown itself was decent. Chicken strips basket was great. We spent $92 for 5 people.

Found this place on google maps while passing thru town. One of the best homemade type of burgers I ve ever had. I like the concept of your ingredients being mixed into the patty. The tots were great n crispy. The lemonade was great. The wings were great n fried hard(I forgot to even ask) just how I like it. I had a great experience.

I love this place, BUT! I placed an online order and arrived 20 minutes after like they informed, so the food would be ready. I waited in the front for over 15 minutes and was ignored constantly. I finally caught the attention of the cook and gave him my name for the order I was trying to pick up. After 5 more minutes he handed me my order. The ring of fire was amazing except for I didnt want Mayo and theyre was soybean mayo on it. (Soybean oil is the worst oil, learn about the dangers of seedoils) I ate the soggy cold fries (that were sitting out for probably 30 minutes) with my food and left. That experience was weeks ago. WARNING! May I note that they want a tip before the service at this place. So today I opened the website and was placing an order because I really like this place. They tried to force a $8 CC tip while placing an online order. Why? Im never again willing tip before the service. So I canceled my $40+ order and went to in and out instead. My bill was $7.47 and I wasnt forced to accept bad service and tip on top of it. Beware of businesses forcing tips before the service. Thats my new rule for eating out. Good luck Mixed up, seriously good luck with that business model. Its too bad because I really like the ring of fire burger. (EDIT 4-20-2024) ------> I went in there tonight and had the best RING OF FIRE burger ever! The fries were perfect and the tea wasnt watered down, it had a solid dark color. Perfect 5/5 visit tonight! I told the cook it was amazing!!

Ive always said that I would write a review when having a bad experience at a restaurant, but never took the time to do so. This will be my first review ever. My co-worker and I wanted to try out a new restaurant that we had never been to and decided to go to Mixed Up Burgers in Grand Prairie. We got there when they first opened and was the first customers there. We walked in and it smelled like the two waitresses had just got done smoking cigarettes. It reminded me of a VFW with how bad it smelled of cigarette smoke. We sat down and order our food and once we got it our burgers were so over cooked. It looked like something a dog should be eating. You could tell that the fried food was cooked in old burnt grease and it was still dripping off the food when we got it. When it was time to pay, we went to the counter where our feet kept sticking to the floors from it not being cleaned. I would understand if we were the last customers of the night, but we were the first of the day. We thought this place was going to be good since they had a 4.2-star rating but was very disappointed. I would not recommend to anyone.

I got a veggie burger from here and oh my god. It felt like i was biting into a can of olives. The veggie burger was literally just black olives (which has a strong taste alone), raw onions, raw bell peppers all mashed into cold cheese. Im honestly astounded this is something they serve. The vegie burger tasted rotten and even with raw veggies it had. Olives, onions, and bell peppers have a strong taste, not sure why they would think to make a patty out of mostly that. 30 min update after two bites & lots of water, the taste is still lingering and I have thrown up. Im not picky when it comes to food and eat almost anything. I am genuinely wondering when it was made, because I never get sick like this.

I could not rave about this place enough! The food while a bit expensive was extremely good. I got a Cherry Bomb Burger and a starter of fried cheese curds, and my fiancé got the catfish basket. To the guy who said that him and his wifes stomach hurt the whole night, mine will too because I tried my hardest to finish a 2/3 lbs burger with hot links on it. The service was super quick and attentive so overall this place is definitely a 5/5! Parking: Parking is right outside and there s tons of spots!

Got lied to by the owners. She didnt give my complete order to the Uber driver and tried to cover it up. Just be honest and send my wings... Update: She called after seeing my review and offered to make it right. I didnt accept the offer for two reasons. One, dinner was over an hour ago. She could have fixed it the first time. Two, she still didnt tell the truth about not sending the complete order. Morals and ethics is how you build a customer base. Upgraded from 1 to 2 stars for at least offering to make it right. Thanks for appreciating my frustration

The food isnt like it used to be. I think they changed owners. The batter to the onion rings and mushrooms didnt taste right. The burgers with cheese and bacon is mixed with the meat and cant really tell if there is cheese or bacon added. It didnt taste like it had been added.

Out with a coworker and we decided on this place for lunch as the pictures and the reviews seemed good. Looked like a hole in the wall upon arrival, which I like because most times, its where the best food is. Similar to a dive bar on the inside We sat down, ordered drinks and food. While we were sitting, my coworker and I were bombarded with fruit flies. To me, this says they have spoiled food sitting around somewhere. It wasnt just one or 2, it was at least 5 in our vicinity. Also, saw a cockroach scurry across the floor. I did step on it but decided to see if the server would say anything when she saw it. She literally looked at it and did not say a word about it at all or try to clean it up. In my opinion, this place does not care about cleanliness or health standards. I wanted to give them the benefit of the doubt and see how their food was. I had a burger with cajun spices, bacon, and a fried egg, as well as fries. The fries were not bad at all. The burger seemed like they had it cooked and decided to microwave it. It was hot like it came out of a microwave and not a grill. Overall, I would definitely avoid this place. The food was bad and health standards were worse.

Not a great experience for a first time visitor at all. I walk in the establishment there s a lady behind the register with a unsettling smirk. Her kids in the cooking area eating food. I didn t trip I continue to figure out what I wanted because I just got off and was super hungry. The kid come from the back and tells the lady with the weird smirk, mom be nice . I had not said a word upon coming in so I don t know what kinda time she s on. Plus all I know, I didn t want her or kid near my food. So I politely left this place. I won t be back if that s the type of vibration s their giving.

If you wanna be up all night with the worst stomach pain this is the place to go! My wife and I were on our honeymoon in Belize for 8 days....all fresh food no stomach problems. Interesting place. When you walk in you think its fast food. However, seat yourself and the waitress was a top 10 in the u.s. she was personable and talk real life stuff. The food was OK once we got it. To be honest, if I ever come back I would definitely visit this place again. Had an enjoyable time. The only place I see foe improvement is the wings. The sauces (I got 3) were all great, but the wings themselves the meat was tough and even though great size not much to really eat. Napkins at the table is good but would help for some wet naps. Best part is service (most important) and waitress really stepped up the game

Our son suggested this slightly out-of-the-way gem! It was wonderful! My favorite beer was on tap and they had burgers that had never crossed my mind! Smaller location than expected, but the food was amazing! We really enjoyed the garlic parmesean and Buffalo wings, and the Irish burger! We had a lot of fun playing basketball and skeeball after dinner. Our server was super shy and quiet, but attentative which was nice. We will visit again!

Went there a couple of times the burgers were delicious and the fries. But when I went back the second time and got fish, it tasted scotch like the grease needed to be changed... My fiances chicken strips were dark and were not tasty.

The wings and burgers at this place are awesome! I highly recommend giving them a try. I wanted to try a little local place for something different and this fit the bill perfectly. Prices are reasonable and the quality is definitely worth the money. They also serve beer which is a plus!

Delicious burgers. The right amount of seasoning and all the flavor. We tried the Joe Schmoe and it did not disappoint for a somewhat simple burger compared to the other offerings. And oh, the onion rings, wow! Thick rings with great flavor! Will definitely return to try more things next time I m in the area.

Update: 4yrs after my first visit. Still dependably delicious every visit. The Ring of Fire burger is my personal favorite, and it contains maybe the hottest sauce Ive had outside of specialty bottled sauces. My family and friends have tried more of the menu but they have also never had a complaint. As the name suggests they specialize in burgers with specialty toppings mixed into the meat (cheese, peppers, even fritos) either from their menu selections or you can build your own. The atmosphere teeters on dive-bar and a smoke smell still lingers in the front room. Staff is always very nice but usually a little overwhelmed. Overall I highly recommend it. 2019: Delicious burgers and good fries. They also have many special offers for holidays, yelp check ins, etc. Nice staff too

The food here is fantastic! Ive tried 4 of their burgers, wings, catfish, and beverages from beers, margaritas, and tea. The staff work well together. Visited again today! The Jethro was great, and Mom loved the loaded Philly Cheesesteak. Service was great, and entertaining. Update 7-23-23 I had the Philly Mom had the catfish shrimp combo! Delicious and more than could eat easily. Kenya was great fun and made sure we wanted for nothing! Still a favorite stop.

My husband went in to grab dinner to go, he waited and hour and a half for his food, at which point he was asked what he was waiting on.... HIS FOOD!! No one checked on him in that hour and a half and then they reheated his cheese curds instead of making new ones! The restaurant was not busy at the time so there was no reason a burger and cheese curds should take an hour and a half for a to go order! Unacceptable service!

For a little hole in the wall burger joint, this was outstanding. Its got a kitschy vibe with a good local feel to it. I was happy about the way they made my veggie burger. Its difficult for me to find a vegetarian option at a burger spot and this didnt disappoint. It was a different kind of burger in that the veggies were scrambled with the cheese in a way that didnt just feel like a sad attempt. I am satisfied with the way they created an unconventional veggie patty and managed to make it palatable. My bf got a burger that was anything but ordinary and he was satiated to his hearts content. Fried mushrooms, tots and fries were all yummy too. Service was prompt, kind and attentive without being overwhelming.

The wife and I went for the first time inside had a smoke smell which is not for us, they have other seating and it was a nice spot. Small open simple burger place, tge burgers are cooked fresh so the take a minute. The burgers have flavor came out hot exactly how we ordered them. I got the ring of fire. I need to say the sauce came on the side I love heat and flavor that sauce is hot so if you arent a heat person use it carefully. It set my mouth on fire. Delicious I/ we will be back. Go and enjoy.

Well, the burger was good although the beef didnt really have that beefy burgery taste - rather neutral in flavor. The toppings were a winner though. Im from out of town, so Im going to be 100% honest. Im not going to pretend to be a professional critic, just quick opinions. Vibe: Exactly what I expected from a hole in the wall restaurant. Didnt pretend to be something upscale or midscale. Dark bar vibes. Staff: I had Minimal interaction, but very nice and helpful. Cheeseburger: Delicious. For it being their namesake, they do a good job. Onion rings: Also Delicious. Perfectly crispy. Recommend on your burger, for sure. House cut fries: Good, but could use a lil something extra to make them great. Would order every time. Funnel cake sticks: So sweet... I had to stop myself after just 5. Recommend getting these to share, not devour alone. Wings(hot): saved the worst for last. This is the only time Ive ever just thrown out an order of wings and not powered through it. They were just far too over cooked and chewy. All in all, 4/5 things were delicious and I liked the staff and vibe. Id give it a 4.5 if possible.

Mixed Up Burgers is definitely a local spot to try! The name lives up to itself. Most of your toppings are literally mixed into the patty and well...it sure amped up my love for burgers. My husband and I ordered the Jo Schmoe burger with onion rings and the Redneck nachos. All made to order and all tasted fresh. The onions rings were fried to perfection. The batter had a nice soft crunch all around and I dont mean soft like it was sitting in its own grease after it was pulled out. The nachos. Oh boy, the nachos. I rarely order nachos when I go out but these are great when youre looking for something that is not too heavy for a late dinner. Great ratio between the chips, chili, queso and toppings. So every bite had a crunch without falling apart. The young lady that served us was very sweet and attentive. She was even quick to put the Stars game on for us. Customer service, A+!

Hidden in a small strip mall behind a gas station, this place is a must visit if you are staying in Arlington. Our server Sara was very patient and helpful while guiding us through the menu and making great recommendations. The fried pickles were the best my wife has ever had. I had the Italian Munster which looked like a cheeseburger but had a much different vibe. It was delicious. Cant wait to try this concept at home. My wife ordered the Touchdown Burger Basket which she was only able to eat a quarter of it. (tasted great reheated as well). The fries and tater tots were great as well. 100% recommend this place!

4/23/2023...3 stars due to Kitchen Staff was short handed which caused 5 burgers and fries to take long time. I cant fully express how disappointing my experience with Mixed UP Burgers was today. I placed a pick up order, and its as if they were like Lets do the opposite of what they ordered! We ordered a burger with extra mix-ins and instead they put absolutely NO mix ins. Patty. Bun. Nothing else. The onion rings were burnt...like burnt to the point that there was black char on them...but they had the nerve to actually box and serve them. There were no condiments in the bag. And when I called after assessing the hot mess I paid for, the person who answered the phone snapped I didnt make the food ummm... And dont get it twisted. I am never rude to service staff. Way above their pay grade. Been there. Done that . I momentarily thought about just taking the loss, but both the food AND the customer service were abysmal. The quickness with which a refund was made speaks to the fact. What hurts most of all is that it took forever to choose who to order from, we chose you, and you screwed up and not for the first time. No third chances.

Ordered to go and waited about 30 minutes or so for the order to churn out behind a couple others. Which is a little longer than I anticipated at the number of occupants inside. Cheap beer and homemade Margaritas are a feature here, once you sit down the smell of cigarettes, spilled beer and floor cleaner are overwhelming. There are pay to play arcade games and ample seating, not really ideal for children in my opinion but thats not for me to decide. The portion for the burger are in line with the cost. The burger I ordered was the ring of fire it was little overcooked and the kicker sauce will leave you gasping, as theres not much flavour to the burger itself and the sauce is blinding hot its not the quality expected. The burger was skimping on the cheese and the onion rings were just oily onions instead of battered and fried, from what Ive seen posted about the burger I ordered it seems consistency is an issue. I cant recommend this establishment, though the service staff is excellent.
