I am disappointed to here that Jenna is no longer there and has not been there for awhile now. She was extremely helpful along with A Place For Mom in finding my 88 year old mother this place to live along with accomadating her needs. New management has come in and made some changes as far as removing the snack machines and hiring employees who are not bilingual and cannot communicate with the seniors needs. The daily meals that are being pre pared are not the same and are not as fresh and satisfying as they use to be. The meal selection is not satisfactory on a daily basis as it use to be. I am hoping for some changes to satisfy the pay seniors who have to live there.

I would not recommend this facility for your Loved Ones. When we began looking for a Retirement facility for my Aunt Mary. I reached out to Morada Senior Living in Grand Prairie, who was eager to have her as resident in their community. They reached out to me every day to discuss her moving into their facility. I was reluctant because my Aunt had just moved from a Skilled nursing to a Rehab facility. She would be there for 30 days. I was told by the Coordinator at the time it is best to pay for her apt now so she would benefit from a discounted rate. We paid $3500 for my Aunt to secure an apt that she was never able to move into because she passed away while in Rehab. She passed away on Jan 12th of 2024. I have asked, pleaded and requested our $$ back several times. I have had lengthy conversations with the Coordinator, Director and Acct Rep who continues to give us the run around. We have yet to receive all of our $$ back and we only requested the retro refund for Jan and half of the $2K community fee they requested and we paid. When organizations want to get your $$ they will say and do anything to get it. However, when they need to do the right thing and refund your money. They will deceive you, play unethical games with you and months will go by without you receiving your funds back. This is how the elderly and family of a loved one who has passed on is treated. I need every one to know about this organization who claims to care for the elderly when they are only seeking to make Big Money off the elderly in their time of distress. I initially spoke very highly of this organization until my Aunt passed away. They are despicable in how they have handled this matter. Each time I reach out to them the buck is passed to their Director Cindy Guzman who is never available to resolve this issue and do the right thing in keeping their word and giving us our $$ back.

I was looking for a place where my dad could just be himself and be happy. Well I went to the facility and made a decision that day. I took my dad to move in and he told me living like this, is luxury . I loved that for him . He is 74 years young and the amount of things that keep seniors busy through out the week makes it so special. I highly recommend this place.

The Morada Grand Prairie Assisted Living Community is more than anyone can ask for or hope for when seeking additional care for a loved one who is in need. From the moment that you enter the front atrium, you feel the embrace of the communitys welcoming warmth, and the genuine contentment of the residents. Jan is so sweet and works to understand the needs of families and all involved in the personal care of loved ones; she is so attentive during touring. The staff is amazing and it is evident that they really do care! Morada Grand Prairie is a Godsend!

My name is Doris Simmons and I have been a resident of this facility for 13 years. I have seen many residents and Staff come and go over time. I am very observant of people and would like to nominate one of our staff for Employee of the Month. Alejandra Urrutia is a Care Manager. She is the best! Even though I do not require major health assistance, I have observed Aly in action. She always has a smile, is very kind and helpful, and can always be counted on by Residents and Staff.

Throughout the trials and vicissitudes of the pandemic, combined with extreme weather disturbances and other unforeseen challenges, the administration and staff at Morada have done a stellar job of providing a warm, loving, and healthful environment. Having gone far beyond the call of duty in dedication and excellence, Morada deserves high honors. Our family is thankful my mother can live at Morada and enjoy daily activities there.

We moved my Mother from San Antonio about a year ago to Morada. Since she arrived she has been embraced by the staff and community and has been treated very well. She enjoys her meals and interaction with the staff and has become close to many of them. She is safe, comfortable and close enough to me so I can visit her frequently. I have nothing but good things to say about Morada in Grand Prairie.

My grandmother has been at Morada Grand Prairie since October 2021 and loves it. The staff are personable and caring. They are wonderful at communicating with me. There are a ton of activities and crafts for the residents. The food is great. The staff really goes the extra mile to make my grandmother comfortable and feel at home. I am so very thankful that she is in their care. The move to senior care was one of the hardest decisions I had to make for my grandmother as her caregiver but I am so happy I chose Morada. She has flourished since she has been there. I recommend this facility highly!

I decided to give it some time after moving my father out as it did not end well, but wanted to be fair and wait before giving a review. I moved my father to the facility in Jan 2020. It was his first facility as he previously lived alone, but his memory had declined badly. He passed all their tests and the meeting with the staff. It went OK at first, with a few bumps because he kept trying to smoke inside. As his memory declined further as months went by, the staff was not able to control his wandering and inappropriate behavior. Instead of trying to really help, then would call me like I was his principal. Eventually, I got a call from the director that I needed to move him out by the end of the week. That was highly inappropriate and not necessary. Fortunately he backed off and I believe realized his error, and was more reasonable. I did understand he needed a more memory care facility and he was moved and they did assist. After reflection, I think they did give some effort, but I dont think they really wanted to do anything extra nor did I feel their caring level was very high. I will give credit to a couple of the employees that helped take care of him that I do believe tried and are really nice. Therefore my rating for this facility is average. My father has been in a different place now for a year and hes much better off, as am I.

Wow, what a lovely group of residents and staff. I was lucky enough to work here and I cannot express my how wonderful the people are here at Morada. The staff had been faced with so many speed bumps over 2020 and 2021 and they choose to focus on making sure residents needs are met 100% of the time. During the snow storm, Staff stayed 24//7 for days to ensure every meal was delivered and every resident was warm and safe. During Covid they watched and protected their residents with grace! You know when you can walk into a place and say it feels warm and cozy? That s Morada Grand Prairie, what a great group of folks.

My mom has been there for a couple of weeks and the whole staff has been great. The food is always a fine dining experience. The wait staff is great too. They read the menu to my mother who has low vision. I like the fact that they have doctors that visit there. I would recommend this facility for anyone. I have put the care of my mom in their hands. I trust them.
