Visited for the first time couple weeks ago on a Saturday. We sat at the bar and the staff ignored us the whole time we were there. But that s the least. My issue is the MANAGER let people sit at the bar with a dog! Next to us. He first told them it wasn t permitted to have a dog there, They claimed was a service dog. But clearly WAS NOT. The dog was small sniffing the owners food. The manager just let it go without caring. We sit there and we eat there we put our hands on there and our food and everything. You want to take your dog out to eat, take it where it s permitted and people don t have an issue. Very bad judgement! You can take any dog and just claim is a service dog and get away with it.

Unacceptable Service and Complete Disregard for Customers A Terrible Experience I had an utterly disappointing experience at this restaurant and will never return. After attempting to speak with a manager multiple times, I was consistently told he was too busy to address my concerns. Since the management chose to ignore my issues, I have no option but to share my experience here and also escalate this matter directly to the corporate office. From the moment we arrived, the two hosts displayed shockingly poor manners. They acted as though customer service was an afterthought, more concerned with counting down the minutes to clock out than with offering even the bare minimum of hospitality. The first issue arose when we were seated at a table by the door which we asked for a different one before we were seated, despite there being ample empty tables throughout the restaurant. When I requested to move, I was told this should have been specified during the reservation a ridiculous statement considering the entire dining area remained half-empty for the duration of our visit. Next, we ordered club sodas, only to receive something that smelled unpleasant. When I asked for bottled water instead, it arrived in dirty, stained glasses that reeked, making it clear this wasn t just an issue with their soda machine, but a complete disregard for cleanliness. The glasses also arrived without ice, adding to the impression that no one cared about basic service. The table itself wobbled to the point where it was impossible to enjoy our meal. After asking the server three times to have it fixed, nothing was done. My son eventually had to stabilize the table himself and clean the spilled water caused by the constant shaking. To make matters worse, the floor beneath us was filthy, with visible food and stains. This was not just a bad dining experience; it was a health hazard. I even informed the host on our way out that we had an unpleasant dinner, only to be met with an even worse attitude. It was clear that not only did they not care, but they also lacked any basic respect for their guests. This was meant to be a celebration for my mothers birthday, with guests visiting from overseas, and I was left apologizing to them throughout the night for the appalling experience. None of us could enjoy the evening, and we left without even cutting the birthday cake. The only reason I m giving two stars is for the interior design, which we briefly noticed on the way to the restroom, since we were seated next to the hosts, right by the door, far from the dining area. The location is great, but this establishment is a disgrace. I hope a restaurant with professional staff and basic respect for customers takes its place. Until then, I will never return and strongly recommend others avoid this place if they value decent service and a clean environment.

I brought 17 guests to your location. Food was good. Service was slow at best. Two of my guests waited more than 15 minutes for 2 beers. I went to the bar ordered 2 beers and in less than 60 seconds had 2 beers and delivered them to my guests. I asked the manager what was their response, no response was given. Im a 20+ year veteran of the USMC and have been attended better in foreign countries than in my own country. Next time remember those who have given so that you have the privilege to have what you have as a business. Im a no body, not a hero just a Jarhead.

We came to the Finch the other night for my mother in laws birthday. Overall, I have to say the food was delicious! My husband and I were a little disappointed by the service we received, however, and finding parking is an absolute nightmare!! We brought our one year old with us, which is good to note; they do have a high chairs and a couple of kids options (chicken fingers, or a kids pasta). I ordered for our son the chicken fingers, for myself the pork chop, and my husband ordered steak frites. A short while later, he brought out the chicken fingers for our son, while the rest of the food was still being made (not upset about kiddo getting his food early to prevent him fussing!) However he set this super hot food down directly infront of my child, and I mean it was hot enough that I almost couldnt touch the chicken, let alone a one year old trying to grab a handful of it. I quickly moved the plate away from him and infront of me where I tried a fry to check the temperature (plus, no way a one year old could eat this huge kids portion!) And the waiter then told me oh, thats actually his plate. Like yes, Im aware that is my childs food, but im not about to let him burn himself on chicken tenders and French fries that I, as an adult, can barely touch, as they are steaming and clearly fresh out of the fryer. For most of the dinner, I had empty glasses (tea and water, as Im pregnant) and it wasnt until we were done with our food and about to leave that he offered to fill our glasses. Which, my husband, as previously mentioned, ordered the Steak frites, and initially he brought a chicken fried steak and tried to tell my husband well, thats what you ordered before my husband said no, I said steak frites. He sighed heavily and quickly ran off with the plate, no further words spoken at that point, which is, in my opinion, a little unprofessional. Aside from that, when my husband did finally get his food, it was perfect and delicious, as was my pork chop (though I was rather disappointed with the size of the pork chop I recieved, as most of the pictures Ive seen from other people had double bone, thick cut pork chop, and mine was very thin and a little over cooked, though it tasted delicious) and my son loved the chicken and fries once they were cooled enough for him to handle. Overall, despite our experience and issues with the waiter, the food itself was worth the drive! Parking: Parking garage is the best place to find spots when we went, as the main parkinglot near the restaurant was completely full (spent 10 minutes driving around before giving up and going to the garage) though it is quite a long walk from the garage to the restaurant.

This restaurant has a beautiful view of the water and the interior is lovely. Most of the servers were nice. Two of the hosts could have been a little more hospitable. While I loved the ambience, unfortunately the food was terrible and the portions were beyond small. I personally ordered the brussels sprouts which tasted only like oil, and I had the shrimp scampi which was tasty, but it was literally five pieces of shrimp and 4 tablespoons of linguine pasta. Not worth $20. The music is also a bit loud if you re sitting underneath a speaker, so it makes it difficult to have conversations with your friends and family.

We had a perfect evening of dining and conversation with great food, great drinks and the perfect atmosphere. We were not rushed and even got to see a great light/music show after supper. I love this place. Food was just good not great. I had the raw oysters and chicken and waffles. The waffle couldve been cooked a little longer but was still good. The bottomless mimosas are reasonably priced for the amount you get. They dont require you to have a certain number of checks for large parties which is an added bonus. All of the waitresses were friendly. We had Brenda and she was great.

We had a nice experience overall the food is okay but the drinks are pretty good. We come here for the vibe. We recently didn t have such a good experience though, we were ordering a vodka lemonade and my friend wanted to switch out the vodka for tequila. The waitress gladly switched the liquors but failed to mention any price change on the drink nor decided to give her any options on the types of tequila they had available. So my friend orders 3 more and then she gets a tab just for the 4 drinks she had for $384 ! The waitress never told her what tequila she was substituting it for and made the cost of the drink go from $16 to $84 each ! And she never mentioned any cost difference. I understand she should have asked but as waitress she could have let her know the price difference and let her decide if she wanted the drink. We spoke to the manager and she said well she got a double shot and she hung up the phone. So just be careful when ordering drinks they will give u the most expensive option

We had great service and a nice view of the fountains. I wish we loved the food as much as we loved our waiter. My chicken was slightly under cooked and a bit too salty. Only stars here are for beautiful waterfront restaurant. Food and drinks were a miss. Ordered mini martini flight. Big disappointment. Seems they were premade and just poured into glasses . Went to visit my daughter in Texas. I was dropped off to go to the restaurant next door where it was super packed. Walked into the wrong restaurant, Tge Finch and decided to try. Vacationing at the Hilton; second time ordering from the Finch once via Doordash and once via pickup. Both time food good but late when arriving. During late afternoon pickup, male bartender didn t seem to want to be bothered. No greeting, no smile. Saving grace female bartender very nice, great energy, big smile. She wasn t even serving us but managed to be a sweetheart. Last time via Door Dash Ordered Chicken & Waffles, no syrup given. Waffles without syrup?? Interesting . Ordered Greek Salad WITH Salmon.. Just left here. Tzatziki appetizer was delicious. Mock-tails are basically overpriced lemonades. Shrimp and grits were yummy. Got the fried chicken and waffle. The waffle was good, but under cooked. The chicken was stringy and wet. We told the manager and his response was disappointing. He said maybe it s the way they cut it. I eat chicken all the time and I like it And asked me to cut the second piece. When I did he was unresponsive. Told me I had two choices, he would re make it or I could have it taken off the bill. I chose for him to take it back. I m not someone who would complain even if I didn t enjoy it. But the chicken was so off I was nervous I would get sick. Manager didn t seem to care and seemed put out by it. The waitress Vanessa was amazing though. Atmosphere was great. Manager needs more hospitality training.

This place should be shutdown. HALF of the photos of the food on the website are not even ON the menu once you get there!! The drinks are watered down and my food tasted like a warmed up TV dinner. I have pics and videos for PROOF of poor food and drinks. ALLOT of our food we had to send back it was TOO hard or undercooked or cold or just tasteless. We were told we could only go and enjoy the outside by 6 people at a time its a public place WHAT!? The vibe was just OFF and not fun due to how we were treated and the frozen meal like food we were served! We should have left but had planned for several weeks to attend and went by these reviews. The dining area floor was SLIPPERY and I could have fell coming from the bathroom TWICE!! When trying to tell the manager about our experience he wasnt very accommodating AT ALL and one server even tried to argue with my friend about his bill very unprofessional!! We were VERY polite to the staff and everyone we didnt deserve the treatment we got. Thats a lot but it happened and I know we cant be the only ones who experienced bad service food and drinks. I hardly ever write a review for ANYTHING btw. PLEASE learn how to treat your customers better and please fix the menu to match the unprofessional attitudes and what you advertise on your website its VERY MISLEADING 0/10

First yome here. As I was visiting the lone star state. This is a beautiful place. We sat at the bar where JC served up. Her martini flight was awesome. She suggested that we try the French Onion soup, which was absolutely delicious. I had the filet mignon, which was awesome, and my friend had the red fish tacos. I have visited twice for lunch and for brunch. The food at this location can be more miss than hit. One time the salmon and mushrooms are good, but the bok choy was very gritty. The chocolate mouse pie was average. For the part I took home, I ended up throwing away and usually, having a sweet tooth, I always eat my desserts. On another visit, the steak where I requested cooked medium for the steak frites brunch dish was bland, tough, and dry with an older beefy taste. The skillet was loaded with onions that were not cameralized gooped all over some roasted potatoes thst clearly were old and had been sitting. It appears they do not use real eggs, but a liquid substitute based on the texture and taste. Was the substitute gluten-free? I have ordered steak frittes at a number of placrs. This Finch dish was the worst one I have eaten in my life. See photos. I went with a friend for her birthday. Her waffle was gummy and undercooked. The manager made excuses about changing the batter, etc. Then she got the French toast. She said the flavor was good, but the texture was a little soggy. They made excuses about using brioche bread. I use gluten-free brioche bread and my daughter uses wheat brioche bread and croissant bread and neither are soggy when prepared and cooked right. It wasnt busy when we arrived so that cant be an excuse. The fake flowers and fake trees, and air conditioner vents are dirty and dusty. Glad I didnt sit where debris could blow all on our food. They are charging higher restaurant prices, but the prices dont sink with the atmosphere and food quality. Bailey, the waitress, was a sweetheart. If not for her, the rating would be lower. See photos. To salvage the birthday get together, we walked next door to Viddora and order food and drink and they were much better! Dietary restrictions: They accommodated my food allergies. Parking: There are several restaurants and a hotel that share the parking. The lot can get packed.

We went today at 2 pm to enjoy a late lunch. And I have to say the food was amazing!! The service was great, she came around enough to make sure everything was good and drinks filled. But not so much that we couldn t enjoy our food or conversation. We even had the manager Andrew stop by and make sure we were satisfied with everything. The restaurant is in a really cool place and had a water fountain show. At night its supposed to be a really pretty fountain show. I would suggest this place to anyone. If you like oysters don t miss out. They have the perfect crackers to eat them on!! In Texas we call them crack crackers!!! Also don t miss out on the chicken lollipops!!

This is my second visit to the Finch. The food was so good that I forgot to post a review the first time. My wife had the short ribs with pablano pasta and she absolutely loved the dish. This is the exact dish that she had when we visited the first time. The short ribs were so tender and the flavor was on point. On my first visit, I had the steak frites. The steak was melting in your mouth good and I enjoyed every bite. The steak was complemented by the equally delicious whipped mash potatoes. On this visit I had the prime rib with whipped mash potatoes and broccoli. You can likely tell that I am a meat and potatoes kind of guy. The prime rib was absolutely wonderful and I will definitely have it again. For desert my wife and I had the pecan crusted caramelized bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla bean ice cream. It was the perfect ending to a delicious meal. I have visited other restaurants in the Epic Center area and if youve read my reviews you will know that the Finch is the only restaurant that I will ever visit in that area.

The food was amazing!! So amazing that I ate it before I could get a pic. I had the lollipop chicken, shrimp & grits and an apple martini! The atmosphere was a vibe....with the colorful watershow, and the waitstaff was courteous and professional. I would definitely go again....but I suggest you Uber or Lyft because the parking is horrible. Parking: We circled the lot 1000 times and couldnt find a space. One of my guests ended up parking at Main Event and walking over. Carpool, ride-share, or take a helicopter. Lol

Maybe a little over rated but I would go back. If you have a kids menu and highchairs you should probably have a change table in the bathroom? Super inconvenient. Can you visit some family in Plano and decided to come to Grand Prairie and this is our second time eating there, can t say enough the chicken and waffles was beyond the French toast melted in your mouth.. My husband and I were invited to the Finch this evening for happy hour. Our party had a 5pm reservation for 6. The location and ambience were amazing. The Gorgonzola fries appetizer was not bad. However the positives were dampened by the service we received. Issue #1: Temperature was 100+ plus, shades were not lowered to prevent customers from becoming hot. I understand the ambiance but we should not have sweat while eating. Issue #2: The waiter was not attentive. He did not fill water up as visibly needed. We ordered happy hour drinks. I specifically ask the waiter what tequila was used for margaritas. He stated Sauza. We then asked for a mocktail with a tequila shot. The waiter did not ask what tequila we preferred. He made the choice to select patron which was $12. Waitresses were trying to clear the table before we were finished eating. This was our first time visiting this location so we didn t make a big deal about the waiters decisions. After a time, we started to feel rushed. We concluded eating and paid our tabs. The reason for this review is the actions of the manager this evening. After 15 minutes of paying the tab, the manager came to the table to thank us for coming in then proceeded to tell us he had another reservation for the table we still were utilizing. It is horrible to rush paying customers out of an establishment when we had every right to enjoy our fellowship. I personally will not be visiting this location again!

We arrived and there was a slight wait to be seated, (table for two) they sat us at a table that was close to the bathrooms and the smell bothered us a little, as soon as we told them they changed our table. We ordered and the waiter was very friendly. The wait to receive the dishes was a little longer than usual, the place was relatively full and it was getting more and more crowded, When the dishes arrived, starter and main course, they arrived almost together, it was worth the wait because it tasted delicious! We had a wonderful lunch here this week. Our waiter was great, very attentive. The food was so good! We shared the shrimp appetizer and the wontons and then the redfish tacos. Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. We have been reminiscing about the shrimp ever since. Then we had dessert, the coconut cream trifle and wow was that amazing. Looking out over the water while having such a nice meal made it the perfect lunch date.

Ive been twice so far and the quality of food and service is still the same! The Royale Burger with fries are phenomenal and dont get me started on the mocktails. I cant just have one Blackberry Lavender and the strawberry lemonade is perfect. The Chicken Potstickers were a great savory appetizer too. I would say its the best restaurant on The Epic boardwalk. I recently visited The Finch off of Grand Prairie TX on July 21 2024 hoping for a pleasant experience given the positive reviews I had heard. Unfortunately, My Family and I visit was marred by extremely poor unprofessional customer service by an employee/Waitress named Verda (she has a tattoo on the side of her neck). The lack of professionalism and basic courtesy was horrible . Its clear that the staff either lacks proper training or simply does not care about providing a good customer experience. This was a significant letdown, as the ambiance and food had potential. Overall, the bad attitude and subpar service overshadowed what could have been an enjoyable visit. I hope the management and Mr Imran Sheikh takes steps to address these issues, but I won t be returning anytime soon.

Such a beautiful place, I loved the ceiling to floor windows which provided plenty of natural lighting, with view of the water fountain in the courtyard. They offer outdoor seating as well which is shaded. We had a reservation and was seated right away. I saw their happy hour menu and wanted to check it out. They had several really good food options for happy hour, my favorites were the volcano shrimp and the spicy feta!! We also tried the chicken dumplings and the Szechuan chicken as well, both were ok. We tried the martini flight, there are I believe 3-4 martini options, they were delicious! I really didn t see any drink specials for happy hour. Our server was really nice and knowledgeable, however he disappeared quite a few times for an extended period of time, which was strange, he didn t provide an explanation as to what was going on. Another thing that bothered me, the bartender was constantly touching her face, nose, dirty dishes, scratching her head, etc while also touching and contaminating the fruit that she used to garnish the drinks. I didn t see her wash her hands at all. I spoke with the manager to bring attention to this, he said he would speak with her and proceeded to get tongues for the fruit (why weren t the tongues already there is what I wondered), surprisingly, no one and I mean no one used the tongues, none of the servers that approached the area to finish up their drinks. This was quite disturbing, a huge sanitation/contamination issue and exactly how people get sick! Unacceptable..

There are no shades on the windows so if you dine before the sun goes down, you will likely be looking into the bright sun. They need to install shades. Food was okay.
