Customer service skills need work. We pulled into the parking lot already knowing we had probably missed the last tour of the day. But we drove half an hour hoping we would make it, so we decided it couldnt hurt to walk in and make sure. I walked up to the ticket deak and the two younger gentlemen behind the ticket purchasing desk ignored me and continued with their conversation until I act said excuse me, has the last tour of the day already left? Which got me a condesending sigh from the young man with the pony tail, a tired smile and a yes, the last tour left around 3:45. It was 3:50. I think it would benifit this business better in the long run if the person taking peoples hard earned money in exchange for a tour remembered that inner space caverns is a destination business. Some people actually travel to see the beauty inside the cavern, not attitude from the person they would have handed their hard earned money over to because they asked a hope filled question 10 minutes before that persons shift was over.

I wish a had a tour option without the tour guide yapping, having to stop every 2 minutes to listen to a boring tour guide with a very annoying and repetitive intonation really killed the vibe, historical markers wouldve been enough to share facts about the cave, it was very child oriented and I never got head space to actually admire such a beautiful and natural masterpiece. Maybe Im just not meant for guided tours but at least the cavern itself was awesome.

We visited Inner Space Cavern with our two kids, and it turned out to be an unforgettable adventure for the whole family. The one-hour tour was perfect - not too long for the kids, but long enough to appreciate the stunning beauty of the cavern. Every stop along the way offered something unique, from incredible rock formations to fascinating natural history shared by our guide. The kids were fascinated by the towering stalactites and the mysterious shapes that seemed to come alive in the dim light. The highlight was definitely the final area, where the watered formations sparkled under the lights, creating a truly magical atmosphere. It was an awe-inspiring sight that left us all speechless. We highly recommend this experience to anyone looking for a family-friendly adventure - it s a perfect way to explore the beauty beneath Texas.

This was one of the worst weekend adventures. Not only did I pay 75 dollars for a cave tour, but was told there was a spot fot them to take our family photo so I didnt feel the need to take a family photo myself in the cave. We took the picture at the designated spot the cave guide brought us to and she rushed us through the cave and was barely even talkative about the cave. Hannah was the guide. She basically power walked us through the cave and ended the tour. When we went to claim our photo they told us they didnt have them and our groups photos didnt work. Then told me maybe next time. As other people before and after us received their photos. Id rate this zero stars if I could. Definitely wont be making the 3 hour drive back there. Wouldnt recommend this tour at all.

It s really hard to imagine that this place was once underwater and had its own ecosystem. Initially, I just thought we were coming to see abstract formations like stalactites, stalagmites, and columns. But it turns out that the creatures discovered here are the most fascinating part. Even elephants and camels were found here. What exactly happened in this place? Visiting a cave in the heat of a Texas summer is a very refreshing experience. I suggest carrying some cash with you because it s a bit awkward not to have any on hand for tips after the tour.

All the employees were friendly and the gift shop had some neat things. Our tour guide , Grace, was wonderful and the tour itself (we did the standard adventure tour that s about an hour long) was nice! We were the first group to go, so we were a small group (only about 8 people) which my boyfriend and I preferred. The next few groups were larger and larger. I d recommend trying to do the first two tours to get the best experience (so you can hear the tour guide, and see bats they find and shine light near temporarily so those around can see) Grace was knowledgeable and had a lot of history to share also. Your guide will offer to take a photo of you for $12, that s a great price.

Fascinating cavern, informative and funny tour guide! Make sure to wear shoes that have decent traction, because even the rough concrete paths can have some slick spots due to the natural process of groundwater seeping through the caves. Not much above ground level, but boy are there some awesome sights to behold below! Our group even got to see a couple of bats! There are a few tour options, with the more difficult ones requiring more experience to enjoy fully. The basic adventure tour is more than enough for the average daytripper, but for the more adventurous visitor, youll want to reserve your tour in advance. Tours leave frequently, so you really wont have to wait too long unless they happen to be super busy. The basic tour is roughly an hour and approximately a mile in length from start to finish. If you wnjoy history, geology, or just plain have an itch to see a cave, Inner Space will not disappoint.

Inner Space Cavern offers visitors a glimpse into an underground world formed over millions of years. Located just outside of Georgetown, Texas, this natural limestone cave system provides an interesting geological experience. The cavern features a variety of formations including stalactites, stalagmites, flowstones, and cave bacon. Guided tours lasting about 75 minutes take visitors through well-lit passages, explaining the caves history and pointing out notable features. The temperature inside remains a constant 72°F (22°C) year-round, which can be a relief during hot Texas summers. While the cavern itself is impressive, some visitors might find the tour pace slow or the information repetitive. The pathways are generally wide and stable, but those with mobility issues should be aware that there are some stairs and slightly uneven terrain. The gift shop offers typical souvenirs, and theres a small mining sluice where children can pan for gems. Parking is ample and free. Inner Space Cavern may not be the largest or most spectacular cave system, but it provides an accessible introduction to cave environments. Its suitable for families and casual visitors, though serious spelunkers might prefer more challenging sites. Pricing is in line with similar attractions, but some visitors may feel the experience is a bit short for the cost. Advanced reservations are recommended during peak seasons. Overall, Inner Space Cavern offers an educational outing with some interesting natural features, though individual experiences may vary based on personal interests and expectations. This is an amazing experience that anyone visiting Austin must do. The place has been maintained and preserved with utmost care and Kudos to the authorities who are responsible for its undertaking. The tour guide Brandy kept us entertained with a lot of information and education.

Creation. Destruction. Life and Death. These are just some of the themes uncovered in the secrets of the Inner Space Cavern. 8 boys entered the wet and rocky ground hole, and 8 grown men exited. Not only did we learn more about rocks than we have ever expected, but more importantly, we learned more about ourselves and each other than we could have ever imagined. We have become united by the ways of the cave, and the lessons Jordan taught us along the way will never be forgotten. It s funny, they say DO NOT TOUCH THE CAVES, but the caves were the ones who touched us.

What an incredible experience at Inner Space Cavern! This was our first time visiting, and we opted for the Adventure Tour what a blast!? The caverns are absolutely stunning, with breathtaking formations that make you feel like you ve stepped into another world. It s amazing to think these natural wonders have been hidden away for millions of years. Our guide was fantastic knowledgeable, engaging, and funny in that classic dad-joke kind of way, which added a fun and lighthearted touch to the tour. His enthusiasm made the experience even more enjoyable, as he shared fascinating stories and facts about the caverns. One of the best parts? It s a cool 30 degrees cooler inside the cavern, making it the perfect escape from the Texas heat. It s the kind of place where you could spend hours exploring and still want more. If you re in the area, Inner Space Cavern is a must-see. We re already planning to come back and try another tour option next time. Definitely worth every minute!

Went here yesterday for the Wild Cave tour and it was easily the most fun I ve ever had and an excellent introduction to the sport of caving. The tour guides we had were amazing and know every in and out of every passage as if they had been born in the cave. I would rate 5 stars, but there were no showers even though they are advertised on the website and in emails leading up to the trip. There was only one room meant for changing, to which the door was broken and had to be held shut by someone on the outside. The one garden hose was not attached to this room either. Considering how messy this tour is, I think it d be best to install at least one shower and a changing room that has a working door.

Great spot for families to visit while in the Austin area. The tour is roughly around 1 hour and 15 minutes long. I would recommend wearing closed toe shoes and not flip flops due to the ground being wet throughout the whole cave. It also stays pretty warm in the cave so bring some water which is the only type of beverage allowed. The tours pretty much run every 15 minutes so not a long wait. I think the last tour is at 1625.

When I went with my family we booked the standard tour, however we wanted to do the hidden passage tour which was a bit more advance but we came towards the closing so they didn t have that tour available. So we all went in with a bit of low expectations, but once we entered the cave we quickly realized how magically and enchanting these caverns were. We all enjoyed it a ton and were educated a lot about cave formations and all. Also a huge thanks to our tour guide for making it a humorous and memorable visit.

I went with Boy Scout Troop 60 from Denton. I can t compare this to other area caverns, but I can say that this experience was awesome. Our guide, who was himself an Eagle Scout, was informative, polite, and just plain fun to be around. The cavern is spectacular. The trainer who lead the geology training, earning each Scout a merit badge, was also exceptional, even though the classroom environment was not. She kept the Scouts attention and provided some great information. Highly recommend.

Peyton is the absolute best tour guide. Made the whole adventure well worth it. I paid the normal rate but I would have paid double if I knew the tour guide beforehand. Lots of beautiful sites, been to over 100 cave and cavern tours, between walking and wild cave tours, and the tour guide makes or breaks and experience. My tour with Peyton was one to remember. Shout out to him, he was gracious enough to deal with me taking tons of photos and was very interactive. Can t say enough good things about peyton, but the whole tour was amazing. Lots of crystal formations to observe and beautiful sights. Really can t thank Peyton enough for making it a memorable experience, and overall the cavern experience was great! I would come back first for the guide, and second for the cavern, although both were far above average. Would highly recommend, and will hopefully be back for their wild cave tour since they were sold out while I was in town. Based on what peyton showed us of the wild cave tour, I think it would meet my expectations. Looking forward to my next visit!

Cool cave, figuratively speaking. We enjoyed the tour and the guide was great. But it was extremely muggy. We were all drenched in sweat by the end. Thats not a complaint, thats just how the cave is, just a warning that you might want to dress to be sweaty.

A trip to Austin with the family had to include a stop at this great cave! I got to come here twice during high school and thoroughly enjoyed it then, and had as great a time only family! This cave is so much fun and beautiful! You ll have a wonderful time and learn so much about the formation of caves and bats! (Don t worry, you ll be safe from them if you are afraid of them.) the zip line was stellar!

This was an awesome tour for our family to go on. We were traveling from Fort Worth to Austin and stopped here along the way. The cavern says it is open until 5:00 but the last tour started at about 4:45 and they run about an hour. The caverns were amazing and there are a lot of different formations to see. I recommend wearing good shoes as the ground can be slippery in places and there are puddles throughout. There are also some areas of really low clearance throughout the standard tour (about 5 ft.) This tour is definitely worth a stop and might be a once in a lifetime experience.

Prices are pretty steep for the quality/length of the tour, and have recently increased further. That said, we take folks from out of town all the time when theyre visiting us, because of how close this is to our home. Recommend overall.

The cave is splendid, we were in the hidden passages tour (30$). There is one minus that makes me give it a 4 stars, and that is that there were too many stories. At some moments I just wanted to walk and examine the cave, but not listen. But other than that it was very interesting!

I visited here years ago but took the grandkids today. We arrived and parked under large shade trees. Walked in, bought our tickets, and our tour started 5 minutes later. The kids enjoyed it. I recommend good walking shoes. The ground is damp and in some places slick. They have hand rails to hold on to. Walking down to the cave was fine. Walking up was a little more challenging with the adults. Our tour guide was great, and had a lot of patience with all the kids questions. Afterward, we got tickets for the zipline. They kids loved it.

We went on the hidden passage tour today, we had a good time! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and informative and it was really cool what all we got to see. The cave was large and you cover a lot of ground. Definitely worth it! I will note I don t think that specific tour is really suitable for kids, just based on what we saw in our group.
