Kathryn Fowler is a no nonsense lady. She is really worth the money. I remember feeling invigorated after I seen how she handled the opposing lawyers for the first time. I was getting bullied until she stepped in as my attorney. I appreciate her and her staff. Donna her assistant was always informing me of what was going on and I m very happy with the representation. I hired Kathryn to assist with my case after receiving poor representation by a larger firm in Austin. I was hoping that despite the small size of her practice, she would be supportive, empathetic, and fierce in protecting me and my daughter. Sadly, she and many other lawyers are not properly educated in the fields of coercive control, post-separation abuse, stalking, and harassment. Regardless of the evidence I provided, she talked over me, interrupted me when I expressed concerns about my young child, and warned of loss of custody if I kept trying to protect my child from abuse. She would often make incredibly insensitive comments to me during phone calls and meetings. While I understand that the family court system is deeply flawed, if lawyers do not stand up for their clients, and keep convincing them to quiet their concerns for their children, the system will never improve. Abused, protective mothers need lawyers who listen. Sadly, Kathryn did not.

Recently I became introduced to information that lead to file a divorce against my ex wife. There was retaliation and it got ugly fast. Kathryn and her team are wonderful and pulled me through every step of the process. I simply gave them the info and they did the rest. Have and will continue to recommend to anybody in need of a damn good and honest attorney.

Kathryn is amazing. She s trustworthy and doesn t beat around the bush. She knows everyone in the court system in Williamson County and knows how to work with them. I know that she had my best interest at heart and wasn t only worried about getting paid. She has been a mentor and someone who could get me to listen when nobody else could. My life is infinitely better because I chose her to stand in my corner. Having to choose an attorney usually means you re going through a difficult time with something, Kathryn can help.

Ms. Fowler is very knowledgeable in Texas Law. I appreciate the effort she makes to explain to me all the legal talk I dont understand. My situation went from bad to worse after going to court with Ms. Fowler. Nothing was achieved after being assured I had a strong case. I felt she lacked compassion and professionalism during our encounters and was more concerned about payment despite the lack of results and the outcome of my situation. I did not care for the rude conversations when completing the end of our business arrangement and would never recommend her to anyone.

Kathryn is the best family law attorney there is! She helped me with my child custody case a few years ago. She is very professional, experienced, down to earth, and gives great advice. I am so fortunate to have found Kathryn, she and Deanna have made my children and I a top priority from the beginning. I wanted to insure that everything was done right and my children would be taken care of after my divorce. Please listen to your attorneys, you hired them to look out for your best interest and Kathryn and Deanna did just that for me. The legal system is confusing to navigate without professional help. Every form was made clear to me and all options and outcomes were thoroughly explained so I would be prepared for future arrangements. If I could give a Negative rating, I would! During my phone consultation (which I expected to be private), I soon realized I was on speaker phone, and I could clearly hear people talking in the background which was exposing my privacy. I had asked a few questions for Fowler and told her a few things about my case. She began judging me right away. She was very abrupt, and she even mentioned of what she heard so far about my situation, she was rude in telling me to just to move to Texas (since I am living in another state) and why would I be stupid enough (And Yes, she called me Stupid! to be living far away from my child. She continued to talk over me, and interrupt me while I was explaining my case. After hearing her being more judgmental and raising her voice, she then rudely hung up on me! (The circumstance of me living in another state, is that my ex is in the military and moves around). I would NEVER recommend this individual. She is unprofessional, arrogant, and egotistic! BEWARE, if you hire her, you would be wasting your time and your money!

My divorce took 2.5 years, I went through 4 lawyers before and was grateful that I found Ms. Fowler. She finalized the divorce for me in 2012 and I wish I went to her first. Just last year my ex dragged me to court again because of some disagreement. We almost reached an agreement without court hearing but Ms. Fowler insisted on not agreeing with two of the requests. I do not know how she preps for court but she was professional, smart, asking point-blank questions and established that my ex had no case. She did so well in court that we won completely. My ex would have been better off if settled. I was so glad I followed her advise. When it comes to lawyers, they are not all at the same level- I have a pile of expensive bills to prove it as I had hired and fired quite a few. In the end, Ms. Fowler is someone you can trust to fight a good fight for you, to give you the best advise for your situation and to follow through with a solution. Thank you Ms. Fowler!

Wouldn t recommend at all. Doesn t itemize your statements properly or at all. Did not communicate well, and honestly took me for more money then she was worth. She told me I d have to give money back to my child s father if I didn t move back to Texas. Felt she favored men over helping women. Don t bother with her if you want true integrity.

Kathryn was able to see me quickly initially, gave me truthful and honest advice, and was compassionate during my divorce. She stood up for me when the divorce became difficult, and did not allow me to be intimidated by the other party. She went out of her way to help me with legal issues that came up as a result of my divorce as well as the divorce itself. I feel that she represented my interests well and was very pleasant to work with. If you are like me, and have had little to no prior experience with lawyers and aren t sure who to trust, I would highly recommend Ms. Fowler. Her paralegal Ms. Cornelius is also very pleasant, and ensures that you know and understand everything that is going on. Overall I believe that I would use Ms. Fowler s services again, and recommend her to anyone that desires a no nonsense, straightforward, and experienced attorney.
