Service was great! Staff was friendly and food came out promptly. The convenience of being attached to HEB is a plus, you can have lunch and then go shopping. The parking lot being attached to HEB is definitely a bit inconvenient if you were not also going shopping though. The food was okay, though compared to other BBQ places around its sub par. The meat lacked flavor but the BBQ sauce was tasty. I would recommend the cream corn and the Mac and cheese!

Very clean restaurant with friendly, attentive service. We had the 2 meat platter with brisket and turkey. Both meats were very delicious! Barbecued and seasoned just right! We also thoroughly enjoyed the collard greens and brisket beans. Will definitely order this again. An additional bonus was listening to live country music upstairs while we ate. Awesome experience!

Go SOMEPLACE ELSE, If you want consistently good food and dont want to waste a LOT of money! I RAVED about this HEB barbecue a few months ago because they served my daughter & I then best barbecue weve ever had. It was just right. Then a few weeks later they served my parents the WORST, most ridiculously awful, overkill-spicy barbecue for my Moms birthday and she couldnt even eat it! It was DRY, TOUGH, mostly FAT, and TOO SPICY. Completely lousy ribs & brisket. I took a few bites myself and was really mad! I complained, so HEB replaced SOME of their order the next time my parents decided to try their barbecue. But THEN they served food that was JUST AS BAD! I dont appreciate them treating my sweet parents like that. NOT a happy customer.

Service was great and convenient. All the recommendations that Cole made were on point. For meats we got the brisket, ribs, and turkey as well. I m pretty amazed at the quality considering the price is much better than other BBQ places. The brisket beans, creamed corn and potato salad as well were even better than I anticipated. Definitely will be coming back in the future!

I admit it. I am a BBQ snob. I grew up in Central Texas, home to some of the best pit style BBQ in the world. So on a recent trip to Georgetown, I elected to sample the moist brisket. Ordered 1/4 lb with bread, pickles, onions and both sauces. The brisket was plenty tender, the end was burnt and chewy but it totally lacked a good rub seasoning flavor. I count this one as a definite 5 out of 10.

HEB BBQ, has the potential at being great, maybe great competition to some of the better one s out there. We ordered online to Pick up thru drive thru, upon arriving we were told that it d been picked up already by an Uber Eats driver? How is that possible? I showed the lady to the window my order and receipt showing pick up location and she said, sorry but it s on its way to you in Cedar Park . Wait! I usually receive a text with arrival time IF I Uber Eats an order. I had no texts or any other messages from HEB. It was escalated to the manager, who decided to refill the order for us, this time . Embarrassing that we were treated like we were, them believing that we where trying to scam them out of brisket and corn! Plus, the time spent built up a line at the drive thru, PLUS, an Uber driver NEVER reach our house! They later admitted to us it s happened before! The food: brisket is good, turkey great, cream of corn so so, and burnt ends mostly gristle! Yuck, not edible. I love HEB, but may not go to their BBQ Drive Thru anytime soon again. Sadly.

BBQ in HEB? BBQ by HEB? After my first meal here, Wow. I am completely impressed. Not just that it s HEB BBQ but because it s so damn good. I m a self-admittedly a BBQ snob. I used to love Rudy s in Round Rock and then Tony C ruined it. So, off to Terry Black s we go every now and then. If you know, you know. Let me tell you, this BBQ is equally impressive as Mr. Terry s sons are cooking. The brisket is amazing. The ribs ah-maizing. But wow, that Turkey. Such a delicious moist and flavorful piece of meat. Don t pass it up. Sides? We were able to taste all of them. In order of deliciousness: Mac & Cheese, Cream Corn, and Collard Greens. I wasn t impressed with the others. The Coleslaw was a bit odd. Probably won t get that again. Can t wait to come back here again. This will be our spot. A bit pricy, like all BBQ these days, but totally worth it.

We finally made it here, and were so happy with our meal! The staff was super nice, the food came quickly, and we loved our meats! Turkey was super moist, and the brisket and ribs were falling apart. Wow! Again, I say, Wow!!! When other folks rave about this place, I thought it was just hype. This is the BBQ I ve experienced in my 63 years of living in Texas! Portion sizes are huge. The sides are delicious, yet a little spicy for me. (Everyone else loved the peppery taste.) Next time, I ll try the banana pudding. The atmosphere is friendly and not too noisy. Plenty of TVs with various sport choices. It is colorful and Texas-themed. Totally, highly recommend for for your family or a quick lunch during your work day.

Sorry, H-E-B, but your BBQ restaurant didnt do it for us. Rudys, the BBQ standard, is better. Service really needs improvement. They didnt bring our food upstairs to us, even though I asked when paying for the order. Trying to get drinks upstairs at the bar was also time consuming due to poor service. Neither of us felt good that evening from the food we had. Basically, there are better options. It will be interesting to see if this place improves or is brought under new management.

I finally paid a visit to HEB Tru Texas BBQ. At the HEB in Georgetown. It is pretty good barbecue. I got moist brisket, sausage, turkey, pulled pork beans, Cole slaw, potato salad and cobbler. I wanted a good sample of their food. First off, the prices are a lot better than other BBQ places in central Texas. The brisket was decent. Moist but not super flavorful. Better than many places though and a lot cheaper. The sausage and turkey were good. The pulled pork was not good. Mush. Like stuff youd buy in the refrigerator section. Likely is. Did not like it at all. All the sides are respectable. The peach cobbler was very good. Overall I would say that I would like all HEBs to have the Tru Texas BBQ restaurant inside.

Neat atmosphere, (oddly) the best fountain drinks around (very crisp and refreshing!), and outstanding food! The turkey is the best I have ever had, and the brisket is fantastic and I order it daily (I work at curbside here). Some of the employees can be a little bit slow or might miss some things, but 99% of them are exceptional :D

This is the best BBQ Ive had in a long time. The brisket is phenomenal and the turkey is so moist and succulent. The cornbread is great when its not overcooked/burnt. The peach cobbler is weird (they use a bread/cakey-textured filler instead of the usual puff-pastry or dough); its not horrible, but its not for me. Beans and potato salad are alright. Unfortunately, the service has severely declined over the last few months so I dont eat here as often as Id like to. Now, they often leave out condiments or sides. They will verify the order at the window and still not include everything they verified, then get annoyed with the customer for interrupting their side chatter by asking them to correct the order.

Did not have potatoes salad. BBQ has a good flavor lot of bark around edges. They have cobbler good. At end of grocery store. Hard to find parking. Hard to get inside metal fence and gate has has a lift u shape handle. Parking: Big parking lot for large grocery store. Not enough handicap slots close to restaurant.

What a letdown. First, the cashier that was trying to take my order kept wandering off to do other things...WHILE I WAS TRYING TO ORDER. Always take care of the customer that is standing in front of you. I ordered a two meat plate with brisket, and a Texas Torpedo which is a jalapeno stuffed with cream cheese, brisket, and wrapped in a sausage. This is listed under meat, on their menu, but I was charged another $2.75, but wasnt told until after looking at my receipt, and asking about it. My total, for a two meat plate and a drink was $22.72. When the food arrived, the brisket was dry, and there were two slices. The Texas Torpedo was tough to cut with the plastic utensils they give you. Probably because it was overcooked. They give you large sides, probably to make up for the fact that the meat portion is so small. The best thing on the plate, was the Mac and cheese. Very disappointing place. For this price I could have gone to many other BBQ places and gotten better quality food. Stay away unless you like high prices and mediocre food

We ate there on Friday, November 11th in the evening. There were 8 of us in total. The four people in my family who ate the chopped brisket got food poisoning that night. The other four people who did not have chopped brisket were fine. My two sons had their football playoffs the next day so it really messed things up. They are clearly not following proper hygiene standards. I m guessing they mixed bad/old meat into the chopped brisket. The sliced brisket was also dried out like it had been sitting under a heat lamp for hours. The Mac and cheese was good but everything else was average. I m just frustrated that we spent money on BBQ only to mess up our son s playoff weekend with food poisoning. I expected much more from a new restaurant inside a new HEB.

Next time well remember to ask for more pickles AND be sure to order cobbler... I think my partner wanted to cry when he realized hed forgotten to order cobbler when we got home.

Extremely disappointing experience! I had high hopes for this Texas BBQ meal, but the food tasted like it came straight from a gas station freezer! Even as a light eater, the portion sizes left much to be desired. The meats were cold and tough, making me wonder if they just reheated them in a microwave before serving. Its regrettable to say this, but I have serious doubts about this places survival beyond next year. There is so much potential for improvement!

My girlfriend and I both got HEB True Texas BBQ after shopping at HEB on Monday. We both contracted severe food poisoning from it. We both ordered the regular lean brisket plate (since they didnt have chopped). We both ordered the Mac & Cheese as sides and she got the potato salad, and I got the Serrano corn bread. (The potato salad wasnt eaten at all) I had been hospitalized on Tuesday (31OCT23) for food poisoning. I had constant diarrhea, profuse vomiting, body aches, and sharp abdominal pain from 3am onward. I was admitted to the hospital at 1200 on the 31st. My girlfriend was also sick with the same symptoms for over 10 hours. When I called them to inform them, the manager told me what do you want us to do? And was completely unapologetic. Food poisoning is no joke. Stay away from here.

If youre looking for a place to have BBQ, eat on a refreshing patio and maybe catch a ballgame on the TV, then this is you place! I rated it higher because of the atmosphere. It has a full size bar upstairs with patio seating upstairs and downstairs. You can bring your furry friend! The food was typical of a fast food BBQ place...not terrible. Although, you wait for quite awhile, the food seems like it is scooped out of a warm bin. Everything looks mushed and gooey. The beer was cold and not a bad draft selection. The staff was friendly but she had difficulty focusing while literally chomping on her gum! Please keep in mind that the cashier has to manually input the Happy Hour price, so you will need to remind them. Parking: Huge parking lot, as it is attached to a grocery store.

The new H E B building here in Georgetown is awesome. This BBQ place here is also really great looking inside. I wish however that the food was equally impressive. My potato salad was the best part of the meal. I really enjoyed that. Coleslaw tasted like most other coleslaws out there. The turkey had that desired pink smoke ring with was nice, it also had a good flavor, but it was really tough to chew. I really hopped it would have been more moist and tender. The service is friendly but slow. There were no one in line yet it still took quite a bit to get our food.
