I recommend the chopped BBQ Sandwich - no big lumps of gristle or fat. Just good chopped BBQ - plus their sauce is always so good it just makes the sandwich that much better. Always get top notch service - hubby & I share so they cut the sandwich for us & gives us a spare boat to use. I also enjoy their turkey as well. The flavor cant be beat.

As always, excellent! Lean brisket, spicy sauce thats not vinergary. Only issue was the unsweetened tea was more like colored water. First time Ive gotten tea here so I dont know if it was because I was first to get tea after it was fresh made. I like my unsweetened tea to taste like tea. Other than that, EXCELLENT

First time customer. Probably the worst BBQ I have ever had, and Ive had a lot. The portions were laughable, I called it stingy at the restaurant. The Brisket was dry (and it was the moist cut. The ribs were tiny and had almost no flavor but hard smoke. The coleslaw was runny and almost entirely mayo, I only had one bite. The only saving grace of my meal was the roasted cream corn, which was hot and had a really good flavor. You shouldnt walk out of a place hungry and for the prices they charge - shame on them. Oh and the room you eat in might of well have been a old folks home. No atmosphere, uncomfortable chairs and card tables. Poor excuse for BBQ. Steer clear of this place. Especially this location.

-The brisket is just OK.. nothing to write home about. The bbq sauce is decent, the spicy sauce isn t spicy at all, I could hardly tell the difference between normal and spicy except for the color of the sauce. -Service was disappointing.. I was there on a lunch break, so didn t have a lot of time.. unfortunately after I ordered,the cook took like 10 minutes to chat and argue with other staff members instead of sticking my food on a plate..(how hard is it to just move the food from the tray to my plate? It s not like they are actually cooking anything right then..) I had to stand by the counter and act annoyed before someone decided to do their actual job, (and even then the younger staff member had to reach around the older guy with the tongs (who was still busy chatting w/ another staff member) to get my food. ). We were really the only customers in the place.. so it s not like there was any reason they couldn t have the food up within moments of receiving the order PRO TIP: be more respectful of people s time if they are willing to drive to your restaurant and spend money there.. it s not difficult.

Good stuff. Turkey was pretty good. Not the most moist Ive ever had but not dry. Fatty brisket was great. Lean brisket not so much but lean brisket never is. Sausage was okay definitely not as good as Rudys are the food truck near randalls on Williams. Ribs were good but not quite so much meat for the fat and size. Chopped barbecue is nice its a custom mix mostly brisket but also some turkey and sausage. Nice that the sauce is not overwhelmingly sweet for those who dont like that. Im talking about the sauce on the chopped barbecue. Barbecue sauce is excellent. Staff is super friendly and was happy to chat with me while making me a little free tasting since it was my first time there. Definitely not my favorite but I would never be disappointed if somebody wanted to take me here. Mac and cheese was outstanding some of the best Ive ever had, as was the potatoes with bacon.

Used to love this place but the quality and service have gone downhill. I ordered smokey mos through uber eats and asked for 3/4 lb of leanbrisket and received disgusting, inedible fatty brisket. I uploaded 2 photos to show the brisket was anything but lean. We also did not receive a side of bread with this order or our past few. The skimp on the BBQ sauce and condiments even if you ask for extra. With the cost of high priced food these days its disappointing to spend $40 and receive food like this. Weve ordered from this place for 10 years but it now appears the employees dont care enough to read orders correctly.

Was on a mission to buy lunch for 3 women working at JH Taxes, where I started my 12 years of doing taxes. Decided to pay forward kindness of the owner and manager I had worked with back in 2005. The office manager and her two workers were appreciative, and I felt good at being able to treat lunch for them while they worked. They requested Smokey Mos meat on baked potato, so I ordered 3 of them. The only problem I had was with Maps App as it was located in.large shopping area with tall buildings that either blocked or bounced map signals, so I parked and proceeded on foot. Parking: If the entire complex is not busy, easy parking.

I visited Smokey Mos at Wolf Ranch in Georgetown tonight. I pickup the food and take it home. Every time, until now, the quality and quantity of food is inarguably the best. Tonight I experienced the brisket being so fatty that I ate very little meat. The only difference between this time & is this time I couldnt afford to leave a tip. Food being so expensive at the time, its so disappointing that I essentially received scraps of brisket. I just thought someone should know.

This is so disappointing that the food has gone down hill. I ve been a Smokey MO s fan for over a decade, but in the last few months the food has become terrible. The quality of brisket has been awful which not only affects the brisket but the chopped brisket. The meat from my last 2 visits was inedible and ended up being fed to my dogs. We ve always gone to this location since it opened and it never disappoints. Sadly we went Sunday and ordered a bunch, brisket , sausage and turkey. Nobody asked us lean or moist, and we forgot to say half and half. It was all marbled and or heavy fat content, the sausage was on the greasy side and the Turkey was undercooked and chewy. The cuts of meat wasn t done with a sharp knife as each piece was connected in part to other piece. Overall was very disappointed. Hope next time is better again

I have been on a hunt for a good spud, loaded with chopped brisket .. this spud was pretty good. I would ve loved to have white onions and sliced jalapeños on it but that s just my preference. All in all I would eat here again however I probably would just need to add a little bit of salt and pepper next time. As I was there tonight at about 5 or 6pm Thursday June 1, 2023 I got a giant BIG MO of a chopped brisket sandwich, and a whole pint of potato salad. Now its not just tonight - I have been coming to this location in Georgetown for about a year, and the woman name Kelly who actually knows me, and she knows that I would always get the same thing. Also I have been getting really good excellent customer service - I havent tried for any other food, but its good to know that there is different other options on the menu. I order from this place often and I really wanted to give it a 5 star. The food is out of this world but Ive had two bad experiences. One time my buttered potatoes were raw. Not fun. As a bbq enthusiast I ll tell you, any Texas BBQ place or person shows their worth on their brisket quality. Ordered 2lbs of brisket, absolutely no smoke ring and the meat was cut WITH THE GRAIN!!! Of course the rest of the food was the same poor/lazy quality. The Mac was pretty tasty, but I don t go for bbq because of the Mac. Much better other bbq places in the area.

Ordered $100 worth of bbq and sides from Smokey Mos for Memorial Day via Uber Eats. I searched the entire menu for a side of bread, bbq sauce that are normally given when you place an order. Didn t find it listed anywhere nor did I receive them with my order. I received 2 small containers- one contained 3 pickles slices and a couple of onion slivers, the other contained 3 pickle slices. Do better Smokey MO s.

Decided to give Mos takeout a try. It turned out to be a nice clean place with a welcoming staff and warm atmosphere. The food was well prepared with all the extras and very good. We have found our BBQ place in Georgetown and plan to eat there again. Thanks for the excellant dinner.

The jalapeno sausage and pinto beans were good. The brisket was dry and on the tough side. The cole slaw was slimey and tasted off. They were out of ribs at supper time. Service was friendly but slow.

My wife and I stopped by on a Sunday for lunch. We both had the pork rib plate, mine with green beans and coleslaw, hers with pinto beans and buttered potatoes. The ribs were very tender, Smokey and savory, and a reasonable portion. All the sides were quite tasty, as well. The restaurant is clean and very low key. The total cost of our two plates plus a small iced tea was $32. Overall, we were both pleasantly surprised at the quality of the food.

Never thought Id think about smokey mos like this, but... The sausage was dry and hard enough to beat a baby seal with. The brisket was almost as bad. At least the iced tea and green beans were decent.

Decided to try some place different today and we chose here. The service was great however I was less than impressed with the brisket sandwich. The bread was hard, the brisket was flavorless I had to put a lot of bbq sauce on it because the sandwich was dry. I would potentially try it again just no time soon.

I called their restaurant to ask what their meat was smoked on as I have several allergies. The girl I spoke with did not know, which is fine because I heard her ask the person next to her, who also didn t know. After that, she simply told me she didn t know and it didn t seem as if she was going to make the effort to find out further. I told her that I would very much like for her to find out considering I had an allergy, and her tone implied that she really didn t want to do that. After putting me on a brief hold, she then told me to call back in 30 minutes because they would have to call the GM. Staff should be educated on what and how food is prepared!

I usually really enjoy chopped baked potatoes from Smokey Mos but this location totally missed the mark. Im 38 weeks pregnant and really had a taste for a bbq baked potato... My potato didnt have any butter, sour cream or chives... Just meat and cheese... The potato also seemed slightly under baked... As a pregnant woman, I want what I want and this messed up my night.

Good basic Texas BBQ, brisket good pork ribs excellent sides of taters and green beans good. Really liked the pickles and peppers bar. I do agree with other reviews thats its a little pricey but within reason. Overall a good four stars. .

I picked up order to go. I got the pork ribs with sides of green beans and creamed corn, they were wonderful. They put the bbq sauce on the side and that was a good thing for me. It was too spicy for me but still had a good flavor. I didn t need the sauce because the ribs were great without the sauce. Thank you and we ll see you again.
