I was surprised, it is not the conventional taqueria... the place is very clean and the staff are very attentive and friendly, different, modern and the tacos taste very homemade. Very good sauces, cheese, tacos and gorditas Definitely a taqueria I will return to soon!

Easily the best tacos in DFW. First time here so I thought I d order one of each to figure out which one I like best for next time .and I like them all and can t pick a favorite. I was in this part of town and am ALWAYS looking for the hidden taqueria so I noticed this place and figured I would stop in and give it a try. Let s just say, I am GLAD I did!! A little tough to get to and dining room is a little small but during lunch I was able to get a seat. Ordered chips and queso. Great flavor, a little on the runny side but not a deal breaker. Ordered taco platter with Chicken, El Pastor and barbacoa. Also had to try homemade Gordita. Got pastor on that one. Every meat was FRESH. Tortillas were fried perfectly, not soggy. I m a sucker for a good sauce and their habenero sauce was amazing. The juice from the meat, combined with their sauce drowned in your mouth and throat. This was so good I asked to talk to manager and turns out he was the owner! Such a nice guy! Family owned and operated and it shows that they all take pride in their food. Next time I m in Dallas, this is where I m bringing everyone. Great job guys!!

I clearly must have ordered the wrong thing. Stopped by here for lunch, and got the three taco plate. The portion sizes were pretty small, and with tax, tip, and drink it was nearly $20. The chicken tasted old/not fresh and really ruined the lunch.. ended up throwing out half the taco, the skirt steak was probably the only thing that tasted decently seasoned, but I had to spit out a huge chunk of fat, and the al pastor.. was.. ok. Rice and beans were fine/standard fare.

Hoy alrededor de las 1:30 pm went there, I order 3 gorditas, (brisket, chicharron, picadillo) I was impressed for the way they make the gorditas,it was real corn, nota typical maseca, the picadillo was on point,everything was really good, I was about to order more food when I listened someone in the kitchen coughing more than once, that was a big ewwww was Disgusting, I hope they was wearing mask, I dont know how can someone be working in the kitchen while coughing, I dont want germs or saliva in my food... If they apply the mask I would definitely go back...

This family owned gem hits it on all cylinders! In the nation s top 20 taco spots & #2 in the DFW, I was very well pleased with the food. The staff made us feel like family. What was cool was another 1st time family was dining in as well. The commonality was how excited we re about the taste of the tacos.

Lunch place for some excellent fish tacos. Theres a bit of a wait but its worth it. Theres usually some place to sit even with the lunch crowd. Theres no way to eat the tacos without getting messy. Prepare to use your fingers. I rate this place as YUM!

First time customer yesterday ,welcoming atmosphere ,the cashier on my receipt says Daisy (forgot to ask her name ) hope thats her name but OMG she was AWESOME,HELPFUL,HAPPY ,VERY ENTHUSIASTIC about helping me choose what to eat ,I didnt feel rushed at all very different experience from most restaurants nowadays.. even the guy who came and cleaned the table i was sitting at (ordered to go) was AWESOME! whoever runs this place is definitely putting (nice) customers first WILL DEF BE BACK!!!!! Absolutely fire. The barbacoa taco alone was above and beyond. Rice and beans like family makes. Try the habanero salsa if you arent afraid of flavor. Legit one of the best taco spots in Texas. The fish tacos are the greatest fish tacos I ve ever had. The beer battered cod is so warm and crisp while the sauce is so delicious. Anything you order here is amazing. The Al pastor and barbacoa are incredible too. I ve been 4 times and will keep returning. This spot was #18 on Yelp s 2022 List of Top 100 Taco spots in the United States for a reason. The fish tacos are a must order here. Their brownie is worth ordering. It s so good. Phenomenal food with exception service. The fish tacos were out of this world, and the guacamole comes close to what I make at home. My husband said his 3 taco plate was good. I order lunch to go from this place almost every single day, its delicious! I always get their yummy taco bowl and definitely go with a side of guacamole too! I love that it is family owned, super awesome to see that. Friendliest employees in the entire world, we know each other by name at this point. I feel like this restaurant is slowly becoming a second home, Ive recommended it to friends, family members, and anybody who likes food near Garland! For 2 years its been a lunch staple! Absolutely fabulous fish tacos. Crispy on the outside and flakey, moist on the inside. Served on fresh corn tortillas there was not a thing I would have changed. Topped with red cabbage, tomatoes, cilantro and their special sauce, each bite was delectable. Added bonus were their three housemade salsas you could use as well. Staff were all friendly and very helpful explaining the menu. A great find off the beaten path in Garland, highly recommend.

Update- have been a few more times since my first visit. It s now my favorite taco place. They have 3 amazing salsas- try the fire roasted tomato - so flavorful. Burgers, fish tacos, gorditas, tacos- all increíble. Everything is homemade. Service is excellent as well and every time we ve been the staff is welcoming and kind. All of the meat taste like they was made and prepared with LOVE. Al pastor, barbacoa, picadillo-all juicy, tender and comforting. Highly recommend the handmade and hand ground corn gorditas- amazing!! The crispy and chewy combo is to die for. Tacos also delicious. I do wish they had a salsa cremosa- like the guacamole salsa. Their tomatillo salsa is tasty as well as the chile de árbol. The staff is very friendly and welcoming. Restaurant was packed at lunch time, midweek. Clean bathrooms and dining area. Will be back! Tranky s is exactly what you want and expect from a locally owned Mexican restaurant. Excellent, authentic food and a friendly, down-to-earth atmosphere. The meats are well cooked and the servings are generous enough that you don t need the queso beforehand. But get it anyway. It s delicious, as is the selection of salsas. We work closer to here and this may become a regular place!

This place is really good they don t technically have carne asada They call it a beef Fajita which I know is steak. but it was awesome and flavorful and really nice and juicy I loved their salsa I will be going back if I m ever in that part of Dallas I wish I had took a picture but we ate it too fast

My coworker sent me here when I forgot my lunch and it did not disappoint. The tacos were delicious and the rice better than anywhere else! And I eat a lot of this type of food. A bit pricier than other taco places but would make an excellent splurge!

We love this place! Lupe Barrera and his crew are very conscientious and the food reflects this. Our last visit I ended up coming home with a jar of his Habanero Salsa and oh my... Im down to only a couple ounces and am now in an emergency situation. This stuff is spicy, but not so much that it destroys your taste buds. Amazing with eggs and tamales. Im heading that way. The Fish Tacos and Picadillo Gorditas are my favorite.

Me and a friend from New York stopped in for lunch, not knowing what to expect. What we got was a feast of amazing tacos, burritos, and quesadillas with some of the hottest, most flavorful ingredients ever. Every bite was perfect, and the employees were friendly and polite. Extremely busy at lunch & very evident as to why. Friendly staff put together excellent burritos, tacos, & gorditas quickly. My brisket burrito was wonderful, husband fully enjoyed his burrito & tacos, while my daughter is ready to go back for more chicken gorditas.

Daisy was very friendly and helpful when I called in and told her I was vegetarian and unsure what to order. She suggested the veggie tacos to me and I got the taco platter with refried beans. The food was honestly AMAZING. The corn tortillas are vegan friendly. The rice is chicken flavored, which I don t mind because I m still weening off of chicken lol. I definitely recommend this place. My food was out in about 15 minutes. No hesitation. Try this place. You won t regret it.

Tried Tres tacos platter, quesadilla, and street tacos. All with barbacoa. The best street taco I have tried. All authentic Mexican food and drinks. Packed with ingredients and meat. So tasty. Wish they open in the evenings also.... so I can grab dinner after work.
