My family and I had a great time driving around Garland and doing the Geocaching Tour. The rain slowed us down some but didnt stop us. The wonderful staff here at the Museum made the ending of our Journey the best with our prizes. We hope the next phase of the Geotour it able to come to life. I am hoping to mention our adventure at our next club meeting in Tulsa.

Delightful small museum in an old train station in downtown Garland. We learned this small town is considered the Cowboy Hat Capital of Texas because several large hat factories are there. It was also an important agricultural center which the exhibits explained. Nice small collection and wonderful guide. No fee to get in, so a nice way to get to know small town America.

Really neat museum to learn about the history of Garland, Texas. I enjoyed the second floor that has the history of the cotton, Kraft Foods building, and the old Garland newspapers. The museum is inside an old train station.

Volunteer Sarah guided us through everything & made us feel so welcome! This small museum is PACKED with cool stuff! The kids got to use a typewriter, rotary phones, & a telegraph. I was treated to beautiful bltakeaway booklets to walk some of the local cemetaries. The coolest part: today I heard a record on a hand cranked Victrola. It was a solid day. Great resource.

We were pleasantly surprised how much there was to see. The building is historic along with all the interesting displays. We recommend to anyone to visit. Not a big museum, but a very impressive one on Garland history and the railroads.

This little museum is an overlooked gem in the city of Garlands downtown eating and entertainment area . The staff here is incredibly friendly and informative and able to tell you just about anything you want to know about the history of all that is the city of Garland. The displays and photographs of the area are beyond compare. We participated in a really fun scavenger hunt that provided a list of clues and a lanyard for all the pins obtained from a sucessful hunt.

Nice displays of historical items of daily life that were actually used by the people of Garland and local community. Admission is free. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff. However, its a self guided tour set up. Also, only the train station and museum are open to the public.

This is one of my favorite libraries in Texas! Landmark Museum has plenty of good selection of books and computers. They have a website where we can look up a book and reserved it. So when I come to this library, the book is already prepared and I can also use the checkout machine to borrow the book. Very convenient and quick. The staff and librarian are nice and helpful.
