Im 30yrs old, started bouncing around warehouses right after high school and didnt learn much.. BUT once this place gave me an opportunity with no experience with a tape measure I learnt the most in my first 90days. Yes, its hard work but everyone here helps one another get thru the day. This by far is my favorite place I have worked in. Great place to grow..

Very dedicated and passionate staff/personnel. You can tell they are happy to meet the specifications of their clientele and they work together to meet those aforementioned needs accordingly; always putting safety first and treating one another more than just coworkers or clients and more like family and like friends. In short, a good network of professionals.

I have never worked for a company like this one in my entire 40 years of experience. The. first thing that their H.R. representative, Erica, said to me was Congratulations... Were not concerned with your past. Your work and criminal history are not important to us. What we would like to know is what can we do to help you get to where you would like to be in the future. The entire administration truly cares about our safety, our growth, and happiness on the job. I try to give them the best of my trade talents and work ethics. Not just because I need to for my own self esteem, but because they have earned it. I am grateful every day to get these heavy workboots off; but not half as grateful to put them back on the next morning.

Welder BEWARE...welding supervisor turns machine ALL the way HOT to test (tells you not to adjust it) then asks you to weld the 1/8 th in plate without blowing holes in it...meanwhile lets trailers pass his inspection with big time POROSITY ALL.OVER.THE.WELDS. because its the busy season & they already cannot keep up. He should take his own advice & maybe PRACTICE, come back in a couple of weeks & try again. The end product is an accident just waiting to happen.

Amtex builda mobile modular units, tiny houses and shipping container offices. They are definitely an equal opportunity employer. At least 60% of workera are ex-felons. Wages are a bit low but opportunity for overtime is typical.

Great employer with a comfortable company culture. Not top-notch wages but they offer great benefits and plenty of hours. Also former-felon friendly. As for the product provided: well built, safe, and sturdy modular buildings designed and constructed by professional men and women who take pride in their vocation--which makes for a product well worth purchasing.

Do they hire felons ??? Yes !! They hired me !!!! One of the best job interviews I ever had. The minute I went to work there they treated me like crap. I got wrote up for taking my safety glasses off and wiping the sweat off of them so I could see the work I was doing. But when I was up front wiring up an AC unit and they hooked the electricity up to the building without giving me any notice and I was hit w/220 volts and knocked off a ladder, I was told that I need to be more careful. No one got wrote up or even questioned. The management at this place is a freaking joke.. Overall company moral is almost non exist ant. As a felon I chose to continue to stay homeless and starve if I had to rather than work at this plant one more day !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you do decide to try and work here know this. They are Mexican` owned ,Mexican operated..........
