I walked in the restaurant nobody was at the front counter so I yelled for someone for about 5 mins then when someone finally comes to assist me they guy was very rude had a very bad attitude to where I didnt even want them to service me & I refuse to spend my money there. So I cant rate the food because the customer service was so horrible. I just left.

Omg, their Tamales are amazing!!! My husband and I could eat them everyday! The service and atmosphere, the moment you walk in you feel like you are walking into your mothers home for dinner. If you re searching for authentic Mexican food because you re a Cali transplant and you can t seem to find something remotely close to that Bay Area cuisine - look no further. La Nena is where it s at. It s like my abuelita just threw down in the kitchen and prepared everything with love. Food was good. not a fan of eating with plastic ware and off plastic plates. A little pricey (over 14 dollars) for chicken enchiladas rice n beans, coke (no free refills) served in a can only no ice or cup to drink out of.. chips and salsa were good but not complimentary like many Mex restaurants are. Nothing much about the place would make me go back.

A hidden gem located in Garland. I was skeptical as typically with any small establishment with a wide menu usually something is a miss. Not here. I think they just change ownership, this team is better, flavor is good, service is good, still a lot to improve. Ac not working properly, is hot inside, we want to seat in a place and enjoy our food in a nice and clean restaurant with climate control, our work place is hot enough already. Portions are small for the price, they have potential if theyre willing to improve what other owners were doing. Maybe they dont have new owners, but the staff is totally new.

Its under new management now. Things are not the same at all, and I used to love coming here for their tacos and quesadillas since they opened seven-- eight years ago. What I saw here recently was horrendous-- they dont wear face masks, they dont wash their hands and the new owner doesnt even know how to make tortillas or has never worked in the kitchen. You can definitely tell the quality of this place went out the door along with the previous, competent workers.

We were passing through and found ourselves at the gas station in front of La Nena around dinner time with hungry kids so we decided to try it out. It was very good! We tasted the nachos, ground beef taco plate, flautas, quesadillas with French fries, and horchata and everyone in our party enjoyed the food. The French fries had perfect seasoning, not too heavy, not too light. The tacos had a good amount of meat and a good crisp on the shell and all the ingredients tasted fresh. The nachos were fully loaded and delicious. The kids especially loved the quesadillas and horchata. I wish I could try more on their menu will remember this place and stop by if I m passing through again. Highly recommend!

Ami, I love the food at Nenas restaurant, its food that really tastes like Mexico, the flavor of a handmade tortilla, stews that always taste the same, not like other Mexican restaurants that vary in flavor. In Nenas restaurant you will always find that seasoning that you are going to like, apart from the fact that their food is made by ladies and not like most restaurants today where the kitchen is all about boys.
