Went in for the first time after seeing good reviews online. Got a carne asada torta plate, I got the fries but not the avocado. The flavor was overall good, the carne was a little dry and chewy but honestly I dont mind that. Also got a horchata which I loved. Good place and Ill be back to check out the rest of the menu.

Whoever they have as cook now, needs to be in a different position. The last few times we have gone hasnt been up to par. Today, the chicken enchiladas had no sauce and my giant burrito was a palm sized square. They literally folded the burrito so the entire center was just tortilla.... ridiculous .

I attending this location for lunch Midweek. The customer service was great and efficient and ordering as well as paying for your food was a breeze. The atmosphere is a little too dark, so it may be more suitable for evening dining, and for being empty I was surprised to see plates left behind by customers and not picked up. The food was a hit or miss. I really liked the tacos and quesadilla. Some of the guisado options lacked a flavor, but the rice and beans were good. I will be returning to try their breakfast from their drive-through option.

Food: five stars. El Paisa delivers for a great price whether it s the simple corn tacos with grilled onions and grilled jalapeños or the falutas or the burrito. Service: five stars. This establishment has a unique cafeteria style where you order and the food is prepared right there. Atmosphere: five stars. This establishment has pride and it shows. The culture has unique leave your tray and dishes on the table and the establishment is maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Our entire family enjoys this establishment and looks forward to our next visit. Highly recommend.

Wow! We always like to try new places and this little place is near home. As always, we have no expectations of new places. This one absolutely rocked and set a new standard for traditional Mexican food. My husband tied the Caldo de Rez, a childhood favorite, and some tacos. His face lit up when he tried to soup. It really satisfied in every way. He cant wait to come back this weekend and try the Pizole. I tried the combination plate, which includes a taco, quesadilla, and flautas. I enjoyed every bite! I went with a bistec taco, which I found to be savory in a way that I dont typically find in a taco shop. The flautas were fresh, crispy, and flavorful, an unexpected star on the plate. They offer a salsa bar, but be warned, the salsas are not for wimps like me. I tried them all, but decided to pass on salsa because they all seemed a bit hot for me. I went with extra lime and fresh cilantro. I didnt miss the salsa at all. They are open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and offer a wide variety on their breakfast menu. We will definitely be back to check that out. El Paisa is a real win! A new regular for us.

Everything tastes great here. Weve been for breakfast, late lunch, mostly on different occasions, and food is always good. People are nice. Love the music and atmosphere there. Enchiladas, menudo, all their tacos and, soups are delicious. Breakfast tacos and burritos are very good, fresh tortillas and very filling. I didn t even know this place was here and decided to try it out today. Oh my goodness!! I will definitely be back! My kid and I love street tacos and they were soooo good!! This was my first time eating here so keep that in mind. I ordered barbecoa and it was very greasy. I know thats typically a greasier dish but my plate was covered in grease and I couldnt finish it. Across from Firewheel, another location of this popular chain does not let you down. Different layout and atmsophere compared to Dallas and Carrollton locations, but super friendly staff and clean atmosphere. Nopalitos are delicious. Arroz and frijoles are just as you would expect with great flavor and consistency. Breakfast options delicious if thats your jam.

I don t recommend this location at all. I should have know better when I walked in and it was dead inside. We use to go to the location in Carrollton before we moved to this area. The food is old and you can tell has been sitting all day. It s all cafeteria style so what you want gets put together infront of you. She went from cleaning to making my food, no gloves at any point nor did she wash her hands at any point. Enchiladas made my hand so that s lovely. I was done when she scooped my rice on my plate and when she noticed a clump of rice on my plate, so dug her finger into the clump of rice to break it up. The most disgusting thing I have ever witnessed. Never again.

First time here and I was very pleased to see the authentic variety of Mexican dishes at great prices. I went for the traditional and my personal favorite Guiso de Puerco from their Paisa Plate selection. Let me tell you that it almost tastes as good as my mother s plate, simply delicious. I will be definitely coming back to try the rest of the menu and encourage everyone else to do the same. My family loves El Paisa! Now that its closer to us, its hard not to order every week. My husband always gets the bistek lunch plate, cant beat it for that price and portion, he will eat it all day. My kids go for the nachos or burritos and they are huge! I love the homemade fried chips. I always go for tacos or menudo on weekends. The barbacoa is my favorite but I will change it up depending on how Im feeling. All the meats Ive tried so far have been packed with spice and flavor. Cant go wrong. For the menudo, it comes with homemade corn tortillas and they have hominy on the side, just ask. The inside is always nice and clean. Staff is always friendly. I always recommend El Paisa to people.

Fast food chain version of a taqueria. Much better than I had expected! And its not TexMex. You place your order at the counter and then they make it there in front of you. The lady preparing our meal was great! You then get your order and pay at the cashier. All condiments, salsas, and refillable beverages are self-serve, so no wait staff. Good portion sizes too. Tried out this spot for the first time. Wifey and I were craving some good breakfast Mexican food, and found this spot on a google search. She got the big breakfast burrito with beans, eggs, potatoes and cheese. Wifey said the eggs were fluffy and delicious, the beans rich in flavor and potatoes were crispy and soft on the inside. I got the large menudo, with it being Sunday, it s a must. Delicious and flavorful full and plenty of meat in the bowl. Ate in the restaurant, the atmosphere was very lively for being early in the morning before 10am, playing all the cumbia classics over the speakers. Those bangers, got me going early in the morning, let me tell you. It s like a continuation of the night before s pachanguero, but a bit calmer and a bit more hung over if you know. You know! Anyways, pretty dang good spot. The staff was very lively friendly and fun. Will be coming back to check out dinner on the next go around.

This place is awesome. You go through the line, and they ask you what you want. I asked for a plate of enchiladas with cheese and got some beans and also a side of asado de puerco and 3 tacos. The enchiladas were cheese and red sauce, which were awesome, good red sauce, and a huge amount of cheese. The beans were really good, and the asado was really good, like real good. I definitely recommend it. The tacos I got were barbacoa pastor and carnitas, which were great, and they were big portions, which was great. The staff was friendly and nice. I ordered a Menudo without leg and with bread without mayonnaise. I dont know why for some reason they give the bread with mayonnaise. There is a lot of people who dont like it. It was a very easy order, after 40 minutes of waiting. They gave me my food with a single piece of bread when they told me there were two and with mayonnaise it arrived and my Menudo which I previously ordered without leg because it came with a lot of leg and practically without Menudo and well not to mention the grain, very bad experience I absolutely did not have any left desire to return

Not as good as Harry Hines location or Lewisville location. This was my first visit to this location. I usually get the flautas, asado de puerco in both red and green and the posole is awesome! The puerco asado had a lot of fat on it and no salsa, napkins or utensils were given. The other two locations consistent every time with all of this. There is never any food left on our plates. Am still giving 4 stars because I am a big fan of El Paisa even though this visit was more like 2 stars. Please make these dishes like your other two locations and dont forget the salsas and utensils next time. Ill try this place again when Im in the area.

The food was excellent. I have not eaten in a cafeteria style Mexican restaurant since Panchos and that was several decades ago. No comparison as El paisa is much better. I found the layout could use some improvement as you are supposed to select your drink without seeing what is available or the prices. As for the unique menu, its nice but you are asked to select taco meat styles in Spanish and I had no idea what they were. I have been eating texmex for 60 years but I had no clue.

Food is ok, it is sitting in buffet trays, you tell the servuce person what you want, off the order board overhead, the server plates your food(ala Furrs Cafeteria), move down the line and pay the cashier. Get your drinks, sit down and eat. Food quality was ok....remember its sitting in buffet warming trays. Food Quantity was better than ok. They have NO BAR, NO MARGARITAS. I think I know why I was told yes.... the folks that were there working....No HABLA English. NOBODY SPOKE(or understood) ENGLISH. SOOOO, unless you are Spanish/Mexican fluent, all you can do is point and shake your head yes or no. We love Tex-Mex and eat at local places in Garland, Richardson, Plano several times a week. Most likely wont go back to El Paisa too much trouble to order food, and no bar/margaritas. But we tried....

I enjoyed my food and a clean well arranged restaurant to enjoy some delicious Mexican cuisine. I decided on the Burrito Dinner. I added a roasted jalapeno to zing it up a bit. There were ample iced and fountain beverages to choose from. They have a breakfast menu which I have yet to try. My food was fresh, hot, and flavorful. Id say this place did everything Id hoped theyd be doing for me. I left happy with a full stomache.

Ok it s time. Last time giving them a shoot. Once again I gave my order and it wasn t even close to what I ordered. They can t seem to do there job anymore. A couple times back they forgot the egg on the 2 breakfast burritos. I take meds in the morning that I need food with so just a really big thank you for my miserable day. Manager GPSR.

Food was great and the ladies working there were very attentive. The place is big with many tables available. Parking is accessible with many parking places. The only thing I was not happy was hi ow loud was the music, which made it difficult to chat with other people. It felt more like a bar rather than a restaurant.
