The food was really good. I have been looking for a good vermicelli bowl and they even have lemongrass beef. The service is good and I loved the atmosphere of this cute place. It is nice and quiet with nice music. I would highly recommend it especially for an early lunch!

Spent over $50 here and the food was so gross. Asked for fried rice and received yellow rice with a fried egg that smell spoiled and tasted horrible. The egg rolls were nasty and the sweet and sour chick was very hard.it smelled like sewer all through the restaurant. I called to advise of my experience and was told that everything was made fresh. If this was the case I wouldn t have had to complain. So if you want fresh delicious food do NOT eat here!!! Would give zero stars if I could

Very disappointed of late. Used to be very fresh and good... last two visits very disheartening. First, drinks... $7 for Thai Tea or Boba Tea. Pass. Bring us water. Shrimp spring rolls had brown tipped lettuce, rice noodles, slivered shrimp and nothing else, very plain. Served without plates by a nearly invisible server. Had to get up and go ask for our check in an empty house. One server wanted to talk to us the whole time... about the Olympics on the TV. Pho was a glob of rice noodles stuck together, served with some sad sprouts and basil, and my wifes beef noodle bowl was cold. Were looking for a new Pho place.

I am sick and wanted a nice soup. The food is okay, however the lady in the front is terrible. On the phone she was basically whispering same thing when I went to pick up the food in person she was very rude and wouldn t even respond or look up. On the phone I repeatedly asked for my beef in the beef soup to be cooked, got there obviously not cooked. When I asked her to please cook the meat this woman put her bare hands on my food without washing them when she went to the back thinking I wasn t watching. It was disgusting and I will never be back. I had already paid but what an L.

On my wife and I s second anniversary trip and we decided to eat at this place for dinner. The service was good, and the interior had a nice somewhat classy feel but the food was not great. I ordered a beef stir fry which was passable enough to eat but my wife ordered the pho and didn t eat more than two bites of it. The broth was just oil and water and the noodles were over cooked. I also like to have soda with most of my meals, and this place served it with a can. I do not believe they give free refills on that. It was 3.00$ for the one 12 oz can. I wouldn t recommend but if you do go, don t get the pho . Which is ironically the name of the place.

Got delivery while visiting Galveston, worst experience with delivery and quality I have ever seen. Food was cold, wrong, soup delivered without bowl or utensils even though specified on order, sauces that were paid extra for not included. When I called, the response was that they never have bowls or utensils with pho. They did not correct any of the problems or even care. $60+ for bad food, service and attitude without any remorse or care is ridiculous.

Have passed this place for years, and then finally decided to step in. Was blown away at the interior design of the place was pretty striking considering how old the building looked on the outside. Service was pretty quick, and efficient. I knew what I wanted going in, so I hoped that helped the waiter out. The Vietnamese Coffee had a smidge to much condensed milk in it, but with my love for the drink it wasnt something I couldnt fix myself. I came in relatively close to opening time, so the pho broth was very fresh, savory, and the right level of Sweet. All of the herbs and produce that came with my dish were nice, green, and clean, so they accented my soup wonderfully. The brisket, and meatball in my soup were seasoned well, but no so much that they overperformed and took over the dish. I really enjoyed my first visit at Pho 20, and took home the remaining soup I had to go. The menu is large which I could see as being a bit daunting for people unfamiliar with Vietnamese and Chinese cuisine, but for me it was a nice little treasure trove of flavor, and will sure to be back to try some of their other dishes. I cannot recommend it enough if youre curious about Asian cuisine, or if you just want a nice meal to sit down with. Vegetarian options: Saw they had a plethora of tofu dishes (the tofu clay pot looked especially appetizing), but did not actually try it, so I dont have a valid opinion on it.

Diarrhea, cha cha cha What a disaster! Pho 20 in Texas is an experience I would not wish on my worst enemy. From the moment we walked in, it was clear that customer service is not a priority here. We were greeted with indifference and seated at a table that looked like it hadn t been cleaned in ages. The food was abysmal. The broth for the pho was bland and oily, with an odd aftertaste that made it barely edible. The noodles were overcooked to the point of being mushy, and the meat was tough and flavorless. To add insult to injury, our order took forever to arrive, and when it did, it was lukewarm at best. The service was equally terrible. Our server was inattentive and rude, making us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than valued customers. We had to ask multiple times for basic things like napkins and water refills, and each request was met with eye rolls and sighs. In short, Pho 20 is a nightmare of a dining experience. Save yourself the trouble and go anywhere else for your pho fix. One star is generous for this place avoid it at all costs!

I went with my girlfriend and her sister and it was only 2 other people & us. Mason was the waiter I believe. He is extremely rude and disrespectful. He came to the table with his headphones in, we were asking to order certain things and he had no knowledge of the menu and then continued to move so slow and brought us everything one by one. 1 drink at a time , 1 bowl at a time. He is not a good server, if he is having a bad day he shouldn t be coming to work because we did nothing to deserve the service we got.

At the Pho 20 restaurant, as we were gearing up to stay at an Airbnb before taking an Uber to our cruise, we received an incorrect order from a server. In a rush, we didnt check the order until the next day, only to find out that, as vegans, we had received a beef dish instead of the vegetarian meal we requested. We had eaten at Pho 20, and the incorrect order was one of two orders of Lemongrass Tofu with Chilli Pepper and Broccoli combined with Mixed Vegetables and Vermicelli Noodles as the side. This had been a to-go order. We snapped a photo of the wrong order but couldnt contact the restaurant until after our cruise, given they opened at 11:00 a.m. and our departure for the cruise was earlier. When we finally reached out, after our cruise had ended, the restaurants response was disappointing. We had to take a shuttle from Galveston to Houston, so we had no way to revisit Pho 20. The person on the phone offered to remake the order, a solution which any one would immediately see as impractical since I was already at the Houston Airport, miles away from the Galveston. They also proposed correcting the order on our next visit, despite us residing out of state, and astonishingly mentioned firing the employee responsible for the error instead of issuing a refund. Even though the service from the waitress had been commendable and I had tipped well, the managements approach to rectifying the mistake was neither professional nor customer-centric. She kept mentioning firing the waitress when we merely wanted a good faith solution to our situation. This incident has compelled me to give a poor review of this establishment due to their appalling customer service, which could undoubtedly sour the start of a vacation. Vegetarian options: While the food is okay, the service from management is extremely poor. The staff is great that actually serves you.

I had the Pho Ga, Vietnamese egg rolls, and a Vietnamese coffee. The egg rolls were delicate crispy and hot with a delicious flavor, the pho was served in a good sized bowl, It had a salty but not too pungent broth. It would have been great on its own, however, I love the jalapeno sriracha and hoisin additions. The coffee was served pre-mixed for me, which was unusual in my experience but it was still delicious. The prices seemed fair, especially since the cost of everything has gone up...(ie: waffle House All Star is 13$+) I spent about $30 and would definitely recommend it

Over priced for the quality of the food. Egg rolls was good but you get 4 for 7.95 and they are small probably should be 7 egg rolls. Fries rices not fried just yellow rice. Jalapeno Chicken not hot and bland sweet & sour is plain fried chicken not much flavor. First time and last time. Dont blame the server he is new. But the low quality of the food is over priced. Got super sick started throwing up because the food was that bad was trying to pay for the egg rolls which we did eat but the manager was not having a no for an answer and wanted us to pay even the full Bill until she finally agreed upon 50% of the bill even though I didnt want to pay 50% I just wanted to pay for my egg rolls and leave because the food we didnt eat except for the. Dont know the lady managers name she was extremely rude. (we) had to call the cops. not them to get this dispute finalized and she still put a hassle up with the cop. Terrible management.

Nice place, great service, but the food is terrible. The shrimp spring rolls (aka fresh rolls) were rotten. They stunk like bad fish and were likely sitting out for hours. The pho tai was also extremely sub par. They put the beef in the broth so it was shoe leather by the time I got it. Very possible the beef was bad too and they did that to hide it. The broth was bland and loaded with cilantro. Ive had better pho from a Chinese takeout restaurant. Do not recommend, there are better options on the island.

1 star for bad attitude from the server. Pho was terrible for being PHO 20. It was our first time there. It took 10 minutes for someone to come take care of us. There was 2 servers, with 4 other tables of 2 people at each other table in the restaurant. We had 4 people. 3 of the tables were leaving. So there was no reason for them to ignore us for 10 minutes because for some reason, 1 table coming in was overwhelming The other food was good. Way too expensive. Given the location, they can price gauge. But today? It was the servers attitude we had, and it sucked, without a single one given to or back. He looked unhappy to see us come In. The cashier says yes and then proceeded to say just leave it here this is what everyone pays. She had the nastiest attitude. I told her that she needed to go find some customer service skills and I definitely wouldnt pay. 15.95 for a baby bowl. I wouldnt recommend a flea to patronize this restaurant.

This is one of my favorite places to get pho, but my God the person they had today, and Ive noticed everytime Ive gone in there its been different people working so maybe thats the problem. His customer service is horrible, I ordered my food like always, p4 meat on the side, no cilantro, extra green onions, steamed vegetables. He brings it with the meat in the broth and cilantro, I was willing to eat it with the meat in it, but not the cilantro plus I had already added my vegetables. He takes it back and I repeat to him what my order should be, he brings it with no cilantro, meat in the broth AGAIN and no veggies. Im on my lunch break and overly frustrated at this point, so I left. I definitely need a new pho spot that has consistent customer service. So I had to go back to work HANGRY!!!!!

Worst food that we have ever been served over seven years in Galveston. Upon entering the restaurant, you are met with the odor of sewer gas from the restrooms. Egg rolls were overcooked and dry! We ate less than half of each of our entrees because the food was inedible. The vegetables were overcooked and the meats were large chunks of tough coarsely chopped precooked reheated failure for Vietnamese cuisine! The waitstaff, Eugene, was great! Apologetic, but powerless to remove the charges from our bill! Please do not ever try Pho 20 in Galveston!

This was kind of a last minute place that we chose in a rush on vacation for lunch and Im so glad we did. I was unsure before going in because I didnt look it up before (just typed in pho) and this popped up. I really liked the pho. I didnt pay attention to the other things on the menu and we all got pho so I cant say anything about other items. Im so glad we found this spot!

Use to love coming down when I would visit Galveston but not after tonight. The lady with the short brown hair added menu items I didnt order and before I finished my question of why, she snatched back the receipt from me. She then typed into the computer and told me Here this is the real one, pay this when I looked it was $4 extra. I cancelled my order and left. Who would want to still eat somewhere after someone put negativity in their day? A simple explanation or actual helpful customer service wouldve cleared up confusion no problem.

The Customer service I had tonight was TRASH.! I ordered house lomein, 2 brisket phos extra veggies , chicken wings, and shrimp fried rice and a thai tea. I get there the total is $90 something dollars Im like ummmmmm you can take off the extra veggies (was charged $5 each , 10 total) and $5.45 for a thai tea with tampico. When I asked her to take it off she got an attitude and rolled her eyes at me. Took a small pause and start tapping the screen. She didnt print out another receipt instead I guess she clicked whatever on the screen and continued to write on the receipt taking away what i asked her. Overall the ladys attitude was so not good. She made a comment saying Ive been here 15 years and Ive never had this problem i said well maam Im not paying 10 dollars for extra veggies and Im not paying $5 for a mini thai tea (it was not a normal size drink.) I was very offended because nobody in their right mind is paying $10 for extra vegetables!

A hidden gem in Galveston all the locals know about. The best pho anywhere, and the spring rolls are top notch. Do yourself a favor and if going in person get the sizzling crepe (K4), which is not usually offered at most Vietnamese restaurants. Tommy is a great owner and has delivered quality Vietnamese cuisine for many years. I have been going since he opened, look forward to it each time!

My first time here! I was impressed with how nice it looked inside compared to the outside, so don t judge the book by it s cover. I had the shrimp spring rolls, two for $6 and they were big! Freshly made and delicious with the traditional (peanut) sauce on the side. The sauce had a tiny dab of hot sauce in the center so you could mix it in or avoid it, with a few ground peanut garnishes. I ll go back when I m hungrier! Extensive menu, complete with wine and beer.

If its not pho 20 its not pho!

If I could put less the a star I would I only put the ONE star because of our waiter. It was only her first day and she did a great job at making me feel comfortable. The taro boba was sweet as hell and has too much ice we ordered the spring rolls and the were the size of thumb. They were small and only 2 for $5.49?? Crazy. I would ve happily paid it if I got what I was paying for but I paid it just because I ate it. I order the beef and meatball pho and it was absolutely horrible. I tried the broth first (that s how you know if it s good or not) and right away you could tell it was made poorly. I ve had better, much better. I ate some of the rice noodles and they were slimy. I set my plate to the side and didn t even attempt to finish the food. While typing this just know my stomach is turning inside out. I m reality I only ate like 1 1/2 bites of the noodle and two scoops of broth. I asked my waiter I was ready for the check and i asked if I could get it compd. She advised me the owner had to come out and when she did she had came at me very pushy and aggressive. She said I ordered the food so i have to pay for it. Didn t argue and just paid. Glad I don t live here and only came out of the state. Was super excited to try and just left with a nasty taste in my mouth and my stomach. I m heading out now going to find something to eat disappointing. Never could or would I handle a customer this way. Food 1/10 service 3/10 because of waiter

Visiting Galveston on a cold day and we were craving something warm. As a vegetarian, I needed to find something veg-friendly, I was pleased to see so many tofu dishes! I chose the Pho with Tofu and Mixed Vegs. This isn t the typical pho, but it was AMAZING! I love veggies and there were plenty of them. I added the mushrooms for an additional cost (worth it!) and gave my son the broccoli to go with his fried rice. He rated the rice a 9, only because he has a favorite restaurant in Houston, so I d say that s a compliment! Highly recommend.
