I ate here twice. The first time, I ordered a ribeye and it was pretty good and the service as well. The second time, I ordered a burger that is medium rare and it came out as well done. On top of that, the veggies were not ripe and/or a bit old. The pickle was half dried. What was worst was I had to ask 3 people and waited 15 mins to get the check. I think the reason why I even got the check was because when I talked to the 3rd person, she can see that I was visibly angry.

Everything about the food just wasnt good. Half of it was dry and didnt taste good. The Oreo milkshake made us be the moody in moody gardens. The only good thing imo is the dr pepper. Its like the McDonalds sprite of dr pepper. The service was good and the server was really chill about it.

I enjoyed a late dinner at Cafe in the Park and it was more than I expected. For sure coming back. I just wanted something light after driving from Houston. My choice was avocados filled with shrimp grilled tomatoes and a lobster bisque. Delicious!

My wife and I have been eating at this restaurant for 19years. I pains me to see how the service has just gone down. The food is always good, the atmosphere is still the same cute cafe but the service is just down right bad. I really try to not be over critical but there definitely needs to be improvement. Vegetarian options: Fruit and salad. Not much of a verity. Wheelchair accessibility: Yes

Nice enough. Thanksgiving dinner featured some great offerings, but strange was; 1) turkey and dressing were terrible, tasteless bird and gooey, nearly flavorless bread dressing. 2) lack of sneeze guards over several serving tables including the charciterie/cheeses, shrimp, samon dishes. 3) All the plantings in The Park were plastic. And dusty. At Moody Gardens. Staff were great, offerings diverse and mostly high quality. Salads were top notch. At their prices, ALL should be top-notch.

Chose to stay in and have dinner at the cute Cafe in the Park. Upon arrival, the hostess had to scramble to find menus as they were out. When she found some, she brought us to a table that was in the process of being cleaned we waited and watched it being cleaned even though there were other tables ready nearby. We waited about 10 minutes before our server came and took our drink order; 15 minutes for him to come back and take our food order, and then 30 minutes before our food arrived. There were only 3 in our party. The food was alright; it definitely wasn t worth the wait or price. We won t be back.

Super nice and fast service. The food is OK even if the selection is rather small. Unfortunately the cooking level wasnt right for me, it was cooked to death instead of medium-rare, as ordered :-(. My companion - who had fish - everything was great. The lunch buffet is highly recommended, great value for money and everything was fresh and tasty.

If you want to eat eat preheated food this is the place for you. However, I am sure you can do a better job at home. Fish and Chips was a joke. Cold center, soggy, with flavorless batter. The Southern Burger sounds like a good concept. The precooked patty reheated was dry and flavorless. The fried green tomatoes was mushy mess. Condiments were the only flavor you will find on the table. However, expect the bottles to be old and have a layer of crusty sauce inside the bottles. Cant be hard on the servers they didnt prepare the food. A general honest opinion when asked for a recommendation would be appreciated.

This is a Hotel Restaurant made to look like an outdoor courtyard; the trees and artwork are beautiful; but the service was lacking... The server didnt put my plate in front of me; he dropped it off in front of an empty place setting; and my omelette was flavorless and needed to be seasoned. Not entirely horrible but a pricey disappointment. Dietary restrictions: *No* Gluten-Free Pancake, Waffle, or French Toast Options Available

Comfortable atmosphere and nice to have a location on-site. Downside - its expensive, especially for breakfast. Service was okay (3 stars at best), but our waiter was very nice, so 5 stars for him. We only went for dinner our first day there but went elsewhere for the duration of our stay. Good kids menu that was comprised of all the essential meals kids eat (grilled cheese, chicken tenders, etc)

So this seemed to be a happening place and good choice of foods. The items we did get were very tasty. We did have a large group so it probably contributed to our faux pa. I ordered the fish and chips and after waiting a half hour and everybody else got their food I decided to cancel my entree as by this time some of our party was starting to leave! So the service was a bit slow. So to my surprise when I got the check for what we did receive, there was a gratuity charge of 20%!! Now Im all about 20% gratuity when the service is excellent but this service did not warrant a 20% gratuity! I brought this up with the management and my bill was quickly adjusted.

We visited this cafe for lunch on vacation from the Dallas area. Even for a lunch, it was pretty dead and there were only two other parties dining. There was a typo on the menu for the pizza options of either 12 or 16. My son ordered the 12 pizza, and had to struggle barely eating half of it. The seasoning in the sauce/cheese was incredibly potent and not pizza like, but we couldnt figure out what the strange seasoning was. My husband couldnt eat his club sandwich from the bread giving him GERD. The rest of our meals werent really anything special, either. Overall, it was kind of reminiscent of a glorified Chilis.

I would recommend eating from the menu and not the buffet because you will spend lots of money on food that is not good. The buffet eggs are awful so try the fresh omelette instead.

Ordered a filet mignon with veggies and garlic mash potatoes. The filet mignon was suppose to been well done was medium rare, the veggies was so hard you couldnt cut them with your fork and the garlic potatoes was regular potatoes. Then they didnt replace my filet mignon when they brought it back to table it was the same one they took from me but seem like they put it in the fire because it was literally burned on top and extremely dry inside and out. The person that waited on us was excellent. Need an experience chef. Do not recommend.

I ordered the teriyaki salmon with asparagus and risotto. None of it was good. The risotto was more like a spicy overcooked rice and frozen mushrooms. The salmon was rubbery with a salty teriyaki sauce poured on top of it. My husband ordered baked beans, which was a corn and black bean medley. It took 15 minutes for our server to come check on us after our meal was served. Overall not a favorable experience with terrible food at a high price. Poor quality!

I made dinner reservations here well in advance for a group of 15. The day of, our group was down to 12. While the drinks came to us in a timely manner, I had initially been told that we should allow an hour and a half for our dinner in order to have enough time to see the Festival of Lights display. Dinner service was horribly slow and getting our checks, even slower. We had only one person waiting our table. Instead we were there for over two and a half hours and behind schedule the rest of the evening. The food was mediocre. I ordered jumbo coconut shrimp that were barely over an inch and a half long and definitely not fresh. The salad was the greatest and tastiest thing I ate that evening. The vegetables were overcooked and bland and I was unable to find any cilantro in the cilantro lime rice. It too was bland. Im being generous by giving the review three stars only because I realize that this is post Covid and his service is hard to come by leaving many establishments short-handed. Our waitress was overwhelmed.

Came down to see if they did room service, took about 10 minutes just to get a server to come to us and the place was empty. They said they did room service so we went back up and about an hour later we called for room service and they said they had no one to bring it up to us after just telling us they could. We decide to come eat inside the restaurant and stand for another 10 minutes waiting for a server in yet a still very empty restaurant. When we finally get seated they are out of the 2 things that we wanted. My husband asked for sweet tea and was given un sweetened tea. I heard the phone up front ring for over a minute and our server is walking around looking at his phone. The server was nice though and our food came out pretty quick. The food was delicious but my son hated the Mac n cheese. Free refills on certain drinks which was nice. Very pricy food though. Overall the service sucked but the food was good. There was only one server in the whole restaurant so the poor guy had to run back and forth as more people showed up.

Thankfully, William stepped in and saved the day setting us up for a wonderful day. At lunch Aurelia kept the wonderful service going and her recommendations helped us truly enjoy ourselves. The next morning we had Aurelia serve us again which helped us stay relaxed and made for a great start. The last morning we requested William again so that we could thank him for helping get our vacation back on track when someone else had tried to derail it. I will definitely be dropping in for breakfast or lunch when we head to UTMB Galveston for medical reasons in the future. William and Aurelia are the type of staff places like this need to keep happy because they make your guests happy.

About half way done and still no server, Luis got us refills and said he told the server but she still was never seen. When we were done we asked Luis to check us out and he went and told the server. Ate there for lunch today and got the fish tacos. They were okay and the wait staff was attentive and professional, but really the food was nothing special for the price I paid. Ate the buffet for dinner and I was very disappointed. To begin, not near enough options to charge someone $24 and the food was not good. The mash potatoes were cold and lumpy and the squash was mushy and unappetizing. The hush puppies tasted like they had been sitting out for a long time. It was just like the food was not fresh or hot and the taste was not worth $24 either. I ve eaten far better food at my dad s $12 buffet restaurant and I hardly ate because of how it tasted. And during this service I didn t have a waiter, I just flagged down someone to get a drink after no one came to my table and then again so I could pay. In summary, overpriced and not that good.

Pretty view but the waitress struggled with understanding what a soft-boiled egg was.

A good place to eat. The food is good, service was excellent though. I had the Niçoise Salad, which was pretty good. Id have preferred seared tuna over what I had. Still, outside of that it was excellent. My only regret is I didnt get the name of our waitress because she deserves to be recognized.

Very friendly staff! If dining after 11am, I was would recommend an omelette or waffle made to order.

Service was a bit slow and didnt come check on us like you would come to expect from a nice place where youre paying double and triple for your food, in comparison to IHOP or a Dennys.

For an upscale restaurant inside an upscale hotel, it does not flatter me. Service was slow, food was ok. For the paid, it certainly not worth the cost.

For the price that you pay by staying at the hotel is not worth it. I had the special wich it was fried steak pork with gravy on top (good) side of mashed potatoes (really bad). Potatoes were cold and it tasted like like instant mashed potatoes. Plate was like 22 dollars. A gumbo soup was my choice instead of the salad and its was ok. My wife had the coupler fish grilled. Her plate was really bad, fish had no flavor. They put Pico de Gallo on top and avocado and a side of rice. Hole plate was bad. Plate was like 34 dollars. My daughter had Mac and cheese with broccoli she only ate the broccoli. Reception and service were amazing to bad the food was really poor. The food doesnt match the ambiance of the place. Just the prices. Might as well go eat outside the hotel.

First off this is not a cafe ..its hotel food...powder eggs and hard biscuits...we would of assume since its hotel food it would had been $10 to $12 to eat buffet....NOT $21.99 PER PERSON EVEN KIDS COST US A FAMILY OF 5 $85.00 TO JUST EAT NASTY HOTEL FOOD complain to manager about the food he said and what do u want me to do about it...and would not take cash cards only...of that was the case you should had a sign and have waitress address that bit of course the waitress was slow we ate before we was offered any drinks.....will never return

I had breakfast twice now, and it has failed to impress. Its hard to mess up eggs, yet they managed to. Both times dry. From the buffet. They are supposed to have someone there to make fresh eggs and/or omelet. But no one was there this last time. Buffet was the only option. And it just wasnt that good. Plus, there was a 45 minute wait. And for what?
