We got there a little after 8PM and it was pretty empty. The food was perfect, the atmosphere nice and the server was fantastic. He helped with beach knowledge and which was better for handicapped folks. He was more knowledgeable than the people who actually worked at East Beach and Stewart Beach. I dont know his name, but he was also behind the bar on Thursday, 10/19/24. If mgmt sees this, he needs a raise and you need to advertise that he is an excellent tour guide. Parking: It was pretty easy to get a spot, including handicapped. Wheelchair accessibility: Very easy.

Our crab and shrimp nachos were too salty and we couldn t find any shrimp or crab within the nachos! The potatoes on our steamed boil were lil bit hard and boiled egg was torn apart. The lobster soup was so so, but no lobster pieces in it. The sausage was the best thing.

They sat us a half hour before closing and they were wonderful to us! The food great! The service was absolutely fantastic. Our waitress, Kei, was kind, receptive, and very sweet to us. Johnny, the manager checked in with us, and he actually took the time to talk with us. It was a truly, and really amazing experience! The restaurant was clean to perfection. They were attentive, polite, and did their best to make us feel welcome. Our server was Melissa. She is probably the best waitress I have ever had at any restaurant. When we got there they were short staffed. She let us know she would be going back and forth helping cook the food because of this. This did not slow service down AT ALL. The food was quick and sooo yummy, she went above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Eddie was amazing. We finished off a wonderful weekend with a quick stop at Joe s. With my grandsons ages 5(twins) and 1 1/2 year olds. I just recently signed up the the Landry s club. On the card and app, tells me that I get 25.00 off my next visit. I went to Joe s Crab Shack and had to sign in as a member. Everything was off and the place was dirty, food was delivered wrong but we didn t complain. The bill arrived and I did not get the discount. I asked the manager to look but the waiter came back with a print out saying that I didn t have enough points. As a new member, I get 25.00 off my meal. The manager didn t even come out. The manager showed to be unprofessional by never coming out to speak to us. I feel scammed because it is false advertisement, a system that doesn t work or a disgrace of a manager that doesn t even know the Landry select club!

I ve never been scared by an experience at a restaurant before, but I can say that I definitely experienced that here. My friend and I made a mild and polite complaint to a manager that we had sat at our table for about ten minutes before we got any utensils to eat our food and that the waitress had come by talking crap about another table as her excuse for not getting it to us faster. So the manager switched out waiter and we just wanted to finish our food and leave and the same waitress came by again and ended up verbally assaulting us nearly screaming and getting in my face. And she even yelled at us again from across the restaurant as we were leaving. I m still shaking this is the craziest most inappropriate interaction I have ever had.

Oscar saves the day! After our server took 10 minutes to bring us utensils after our food arrived, complained about another table to us, and was just overall really bad .we finally called a manager over. The manager offered a new server and Oscar took great care of us. However, the original server continued to harass us for the remainder of the night, including standing at our table and screaming how we were making her uncomfortable, passive aggressively walking by our table and telling us how she was the worst server ever, and laughing at us as we left the restaurant. The final straw was when she started screaming that she had been a server for 10 years and we didn t need to tell her how to do her job. Anyways, Oscar was nice and deserves the EXTRA LARGE TIP HE GOT.

My family & I planned a trip to Galveston this past weekend and we stopped at the Joe s Crab Shack. Let me tell you, we had the BEST time ever!! The atmosphere was so fun and lively! Absolutely fantastic experience at Joe s Crab Shack! The food was delicious, fresh, and full of flavor, but what truly made our visit exceptional was the outstanding service by our server, Jerod. He went above and beyond to ensure we had a memorable lunch. Jerod was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, offering great recommendations that enhanced our meal. His warm personality and genuine care for our dining experience made all the difference. We ll definitely be returning and will be sure to ask for Jerod again. Went here to eat at the Galveston location. They had hundreds of empty tables but said that they were backed up on orders for the next 2 hours so they couldnt allow any more people into the restaurant. If you have a hundred empty tables but cant allow guests in, there is something wrong with the way this business is being managed. Furthermore, when we walked inside, the hostess was extremely rude and acted like she could care less about the situation. I sat and thought on this overnight so that I didnt just write an angry review. With my past in restaurant management, high end restaurant management, I feel that this is an absolute failure. I have seen restaurants absolutely backed up, but to have this many tables available then there is either a staffing issue, an issue with the kitchen, or just a plain lack of skills in the management aspect. Either way, this should never happen. The restaurant obviously lost thousands in revenue as well as loyal customers. I will not be returning to this restaurant anytime soon.

Terrible service and poor quality food! Crab felted over cooked. We ordered two mojitos, and one had a whole fly in it. The staff forgot our utensils, so we had to wait nearly 20 minutes. Our waiter seemed completely inexperienced. Absolutely unacceptable!

Jerod was our server, he was kind, mindful, funny, and outright amazing. We sat in the outdoor seating area and the fans were nice and not overwhelming. We had a great time at our experience here this year! Our waiter Sam U greeted us and was excellent! Our 10 and 6 year old got the light up cups and with sharks inside and the waiter came back with another shark for our 1 year old which was awesome of him since it kept him playing while we waited for good. We accidentally ordered 2 kids plates and as he came back with the drinks we informed him that we missed one. (Our fault not his we got wrapped up in the cool drinks lol) we didnt wait long for the food and he made sure to have the later ordered kids plate to come out as soon as everyone elses did! He then brought us all ice cream at the end of our stay. Also I noticed that he kept our table cleaned as much as he could which you dont see and kept checking on us! Great service by Sam! We will be back and I hope hes there to request him! Parking: Lots of space Kid-friendliness: There was a playground for the kids! I liked that even tho it was sand they have a water sprayer that will wash off your feet so that you dont track sand back to your car and we as to be outside so they could play and they sat us right by the opening which was awesome!

Have been going here for years and hate to say it but a few days ago will be my last. Steampot for 2 is no longer a thing so theres that. When we were sat, 2 hosts crossed paths and our host ended up at one table and we got that tables host. No one came to take our drink order for 20 minutes until a manager noticed we had no drinks. Our waiter approached us and immediately started talking about the manager and how she got onto him. We put in our drink order along with an appetizer. 20 minutes later waiter comes back with drinks and no appetizer and asks us if we need anything. Then remembers we ordered an appetizer and says I will bring that right back. Doesnt bring it back. Waits another 10 minutes and comes back to our table STILL with no appetizer. At this point we questioned him and he went to the back, came back with a plate and told us that the cooks told him it wasnt ours. It was a COLD plate that should have been hot food. At this point my husband and I stood up with our 2 kids and said we were leaving. I told the manager about the whole situation and all she could say was sorry for the inconvenience This place has severely gone down hill!

Stayed in Galveston over Memorial weekend and decided to eat here as it was near our hotel and directly across from the beach. It took our waiter a while, but he finally arrived. While taking our order, he was mesmerized by two young ladies walking by and LITERALLY stopped writing to gawk.
