The pasta and pizza is made in house, which I thought was neat. I got a smoked salmon pasta dish, forgot the name, but it was really good! The atmosphere is very quaint and beautiful, a very relaxing homey vibe. We sat outside on the back patio. Our kids really enjoyed the fountains, and a wooden tic-tac-toe set. They have those spinny fly repelling devices on all the tables outside. The hibiscus tea was also delicious! Our server was very friendly, prompt, and attentive. No complaints at all. Parking: Only street parking as far as I could tell. Whether or not its paid depends on time of day.

The FOOD.....the best is the varied menu, filled with so many delicious offerings. The SERVICE...amazing friendly helpful service, provided great recommendations. The PARKING...a bit challenging, please dont let that keep you from enjoying a relaxed and delicious meal.

My partner and I stopped here for breakfast on a random Thursday and had an absolutely wonderful meal! The inside of the restaurant is very nice and cozy, and the staff are so friendly and welcoming. We very clearly did not know what we were doing, so barista came out to greet us and explain how everything worked. After seating ourselves at a table, we ordered our breakfast from our phones (love that feature). It took maybe 5 minutes to get coffee and 15 to get food. Both our chicken and waffles and breakfast croissant were excellent. All around, we had a wonderful meal in a great atmosphere. I would highly recommend checking this place out for breakfast! Dietary restrictions: Lots of milk alternatives for coffees!

The parking isnt great and the building construction that is going on across the street kinda of hinders the outdoor area vibe, but it is such a cute place in an old Victorian house, the owners are super sweet, the food is delicious, as are the drinks. Tons of food options, and if you have an allergy they make it easy to substitute.

Blown away! Honestly wasn t sure what to expect we came to Galveston for Memorial Day weekend. First of all, the owners seated us and chatted with us for a while. Very friendly and made us feel at home. Then the atmosphere: it was so quaint. The inside smells amazing and is homey and the outside area is stunning with potted plants including seasonal produce. Then the food!! Was incredible!! We tried the Cerese Pomodorini Pasta (fresh, pasta made in house, stunning texture and flavor), Perfect Marriage (best shrimp I ve had in a long time maybe ever?), berry lemonade, fries (also cut and made in house), and bread + olive oil (so light and delicious). The prices were also totally reasonable!! Couldn t recommend this place more.

Becoming one of our new favorite island restaurants. In January they had a temporary menu with an amazing chicken pasta dish! Their bread pudding is delicious (I m not someone who typically orders bread pudding and would highly recommend this). they previously had waitress service which is preferable to the order at the counter we encountered the last time we went. The one thing I would love to see improved is the hours! I often find myself wishing their dinner hours were more frequent or at least open an hour later on the weekend nights.

Gonzolas American Bistro offers a delightful surprise just a stones throw from the UTMB campus, presenting itself as a charming hideaway for those with a penchant for quaint, boutique dining experiences. The bistros interior may be small, but it exudes an inviting coolness, enhancing its picturesque charm. The real gem, however, is the enchanting covered patio out back. It s a serene oasis complete with fans, a gentle fountain, and a variety of seating that captures a beautiful vibe so inviting that even on an 80° day, one would choose the al fresco ambiance over indoor dining. The culinary highlight, the Pulled Pork Sandwich, is a staple that transcends the usual fare. As one who samples this American classic nationwide, I can assert that Gonzolas version is worth a trip from anywhere within a two-hour radius of Galveston. Its not just a meal; its an experience that I plan to return for many more times. Their menu promises other incredible possibilities to entice you back, and I am eager to return for another lunch escapade. The sole hiccup in the experience is the parking situation. Prospective visitors should be prepared for a bit of a hunt, which might entail circling the nearby blocks multiple times. But once parked, the reward is a dining experience thats bound to become a favorite recommendation to friends and family. In sum, Gonzolas American Bistro is a must-visit spot where each dish served promises to be a memorable part of your journey.

Side note even if you are not a bread pudding person, ORDER IT!! It s Heavenly!! The service & meals are top notch! Vegetarian options: I ordered a house salad with my meal so that s a vegetarian option right there. And it was most delicious! Parking: If you re lucky you can park in front of the restaurant otherwise you may have to park across the street, we had to park in the Shriners parking lot, it was late at night for dinner so maybe that was an option for us at the time. Kid-friendliness: Outdoor seating has plenty of seating for large families. Wheelchair accessibility: I d recommend outdoor seating for wheelchair & walker folks, plenty of room outside plus ambience is on point!

This place has become one of my favorites on the island. The food and coffee is delicious. The breakfast burrito is a good size and the salsa that comes with it has good flavor. I could probably drown the burrito in the salsa. The avocado toast was AMAZING! I added an egg to top it off and toast is thick, good consistency, and full of flavor! I think all the breakfast plates come with a small side of fresh fruit that changes depending on the day, and it is always fresh. I will definitely be working my way through the food menu so I can try everything. Their espresso has really good flavor and the lattes have the perfect amount of sweet vs espresso flavor. They are also accommodating to your preference of your sweetness level as well! The owners are locals and very sweet, so that also appeals to those who like to support locally owned and run businesses. I look forward to watching their business grow!

Such a cute and charming place! The food was fantastic (I had the pulled pork! Yum!!) and the staff was top notch. This is exactly what we need here on the east end!

First time here & we had burgers. They were excellent: juicy & delicious with quality, ripe, tasty tomatoes. Thick cut fries on the side & hibiscus iced tea. YUM! Will definitely be back.
