It was fun, could ve been better though. It was very crowded the day I went. There was a long line to get in and took a while to get a parking spot. It was also windy but I don t blame that on the beach. I am going to blame the beach for all the trash around. We re paying 15 dollars per car. That s a lot when you compare it to all of the other beaches like Mustang beach which is much better and cost less. One thing I do like are the shower stations. Those are cool

I loved the beach, but i think I enjoyed looking for seashells just as much. I had my leashed dog with me. There was plenty of room for us to spread out and not be on top of anyone else at this beach. The water seemed calmer at this beach so if you are looking for big waves to jump into you may want to keep traveling west. I will be back to visit this beach again.

If you come here just know parking is $15 and renting an umbrella with two chairs cost $40. Parking is good but I would recommend to bring your own wagon with an umbrella chairs or canopy that way you don t have to pay $40 bucks to rent. Also know they use to have inside showers with curtain but they closed it off and only have outside rinse stations that you have to wait in line for. People in line will watch you rinse your body off.

We loved this beach! We came early on a Friday morning in April, probably about 9:45-10. It was calm and we got a close parking spot. They do charge for entrance/parking $15 per day. They have several bathrooms available as well as showers and changing stalls. The showers are outdoors and cold fyi. So we only used them to rinse off after being in the water. They have an awesome firm plastic walkway all the way out to the beach area. It is beautiful! You can tell the beach is well maintained and taken care of! I originally considered renting chairs and an umbrella but it was going to be $40 so we skipped it. There s tons of beach and the first several yards of water are very shallow so my young daughters had so much fun playing in the ocean! We found some fun shells, played lots in the sand and had an amazing time! After we showered off and changed, my girls had a great time playing on the playground nearby! I would definitely come back here again!!

Years ago Stewart Beach was a clean, and a great family environment but not anymore. My last Saturday morning visit was a disappointment to say the least. From the very entrance booth I was greeted with a huge pothole- I guess nobody have the brains to level the road with a load of sand. Then the lousy restroom area where two trailers with no working a/c provided a unique and unforgettable experience. Unlike the old pavilion where you could shower and change with some privacy now you are invited to shower (rinse) in public. It felt like a God forgotten banana republic place. Everything looks so cheap and uninviting. I wonder if those who approved the setup ever travelled or witnessed other places. Internationally speaking were not even on the map when it comes to services that local municipalities offer for public beaches. Truly, this is one of the most disgusting beaches I have ever been to and I have been to quite a few. I was so embarrassed bringing my out of country guests to such disgusting filthy beach. And they charge a daily rate to enter-$$! I am not sure what they are doing with the money but it certainly is not cleaning the beach or raking the sand. However, the overzealous police patrols kept a close eye on every popup tent or shelter that people tried to install close to water. I will not return to that place and believe me writing this brings me no pleasure at all. A disappointed customer.

Fun morning at the beach with the family but not a spot we d likely be clamoring to go back to. The good Lots of space for the kids to run around as it wasn t very crowded. Waves just the right size for the kids to enjoy. Surface in the water was nice as well - no rocks or seashells poking your feet as you re out in the water. Also very little seaweed in the water. Parking was easy and plentiful ($15 a car). The bad The wind here was much more intense than we were anticipating making for scenes that would ve been at home in any Griswald Family movie as I tried to keep some semblance of a place for the family to lay down on beach towels etc. This was easily the windiest beach situation we ve ever encountered and ended with sand lodged in EVERYTHING. Amenities pretty limited on spot (there was a trailer w some snacks, etc for sale but that was it).

There is a free parking lot near the entrance from the main road. Rentals for an umbrella and 2 chairs is $40, umbrella only $30, and each chair at $10. Concessions, showers, and bathrooms moved from the large building to portable buildings closer to the beach.

Family & I had a really enjoyable day at the beach. The weather was great not hot but not too cold. The scenery on the drive once you get into Galveston is beautiful. We got to see people on the helicopter rides above us and the huge boats on the water. Parking was easy in comparison to the beach entry. We definitely plan on renting a beach house and going back in the summer. Id recommend visiting the pier after the beach and checking out the local town.

This part of Galveston is nice, Stewart beach is clean and you will have plenty of fun as long as you take a canopy or beach umbrella for sun relief. Keep in mind you will have to camp behind the rentable umbrellas. Good 300 ft to the water , also Be careful ! The sand is so thin , cars get stuck. Pros: it s clean, police onsite , bathrooms near by. Cons: parking is not well maintained , cars get stuck in the sand , umbrella for rent are 40$, bathrooms are not clean. Overall I would say if we ll worth it, kids will love it. Tip: I notice people taking their own beach umbrellas with two chair , and they were able to blend in with the rentable ones so they could camp right in front of the water I dint know that.

New in town and thought this was the place to go to. Been to many beaches in different countries, including the US. Cant recall ever having to pay to access a beach. $16 on a weekend. We were not allowed to exit and come back without paying again! The beach/water is miles away from the parking and facilities. The facilities are temporary structures. $40 to hire an umbrella and two chairs even when we got there at 1pm!! Rip off! Go and buy yourself an umbrella at Walgreens across the road at $15 to $30. Those with gazebos have to put it up a mile away from the water. I guess this will screw with ol umbrella buddys profits. You are not allowed to consume alcohol. Not worth it at all. Plenty of other free options with shops, etc close by.

The patrol told me I could use my charcoal grill anywhere on the beach. We set it up and grilled some great food. Since we didn t have a tent we were able to set up close to the water. If you bring a tent or canopy you will have to set up farther back so the lifeguards are able to see the water and not blocking view. The kids had a great time , the water was not brown it was a pretty blue color and the waves were big and amazing. They also have food trucks, bathrooms and showers at this beach.

We were able to rent chairs and umbrellas for a small price which we were able to use our credit and debit cards while on the beach for purchases like snow cones and stuff from they small gift shop located across from the restrooms and showers. There was no entrance fee but there was a parking fee here. They had a nice playground for the children located by the restrooms and showers as well as several nice volleyball courts setup for playing as well. We spent most of the day just hanging out here until the crew came by and loaded up our chairs and umbrellas for us at 5:30 so we grabbed our things and headed out. My kids were first time visitors and they seemed to have enjoyed it just as much as I did when I was their age!

Great place with lively beach. Has a lot of folks playing and relaxing. It is kid friendly as well. The parking ranges from 12-20$ depending on days and public holidays. The beach parking has a gate and they shut the gates around sunset. Best time to visit is at 3-7 during summertime. Folks come in early as well and hangout the whole day. There is open shower area and enclosed changing area. This is close to parking A lot.The rest rooms on site at times might not work so beware. Kids can play and run along the beach. It is a clean beach it has a few trash lying around through there are dustbins around the place. Kids need to be careful when entering the water. There is at times rip currents and that can be dangerous. There is a life guard at the station. Suggest you get your cooler with cool drinks and cold coffee and no liquor allowed on the beach. So don t carry beer. Though there are folks who drink in the parking lot. There is security guard who patrols the beach as well. The beach has 2 parking lot - A and B A seems to be more popular. The beach allows folks to grill so if you like you can get your grill. They do allow pets so there are folks with pets on the beach.

It was really clean and not too crowded. The water is a little murky but the temperature is perfect

The people putting out the umbrellas were exceptionally polite and helpful, but there was a lot more trash on the beach than usual .

Very nice, a sunset from that place. They rent thrushes and chairs for visitors, the water is very crystal clear.

I like it because it has a large parking lot which costs 15 dollars, it is close to the food businesses, the bathrooms are also very clean and it has showers for bathing. It is a clean beach and has lifeguards.

I walked a three-mile stretch of Stewart Beach on a Monday morning during a recent visit. As far as beaches goes, it wasnt terribly inviting or user-friendly. The beach is ungroomed and natural debris litters the area. The sand is pretty compact throughout, also. Beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent and are located some distance west of the beach access near the Homewood Suites hotel. Fortunately, there was no artificial debris that I noticed, other than some discarded fruit. The water was pretty nice. Regardless of this, I still enjoyed the walk on the beach along with the other beach walkers and birds.

Great place to hang with the family. Plenty of well groomed beach to share. This parking space charges $15 for the whole day instead of an hourly rate. It is a commercial beach so there are umbrellas and chairs you can rent along the beach and then a section just behind that you can set up your own canopy and chairs if you d like instead. There are showers, well maintained bathrooms, changing rooms, and even a small convenience store available too. Lots of room to play, some music playing in the background, and overall very clean. See pictures for the chair/umbrella pricing.

The day was beautiful. The beach was clean except for small signs of seaweed. Many families and others. Was peaceful. Bring your sunblock or tannoil as well as ice chest with food and lots of water.

First time here, and we loved it!!! Clean, soft sand... clear water compared to some of the other beaches. Super cute sealife called comb jellies, birds were lot due people feeding them. But in all, we enjoyed ourselves.
