This beautiful house reminds us of what was and may never be again. Youll be taken back in time to a civilized era and culture that most young people are being taught didnt exist. Well, it did. Go see this extraordinary place along with Bishops Palace.

A marvelous home which stimulates the imagination, like stepping back in time, including the vintage cars in the garage. The woman on staff today was a wealth of information and fun stories about the Moody family. Wish we had known about the all access tour which you need to book ahead of time by 230. We will do that next time! Otherwise, just walk in! (Last ticket sold an hour before closing!)

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our visit at movie Mansion. We chose to do the self-tour using the QR codes and we did the family tour. After entering the mansion we were greeted by Karen who is so sweet and nice and gave us so much information that you would not have ordinarily gotten on a a tour it was more personal. We thoroughly enjoyed touring the building admiring all of the woodworks and the story that was told by the children throughout this tour. I would highly recommend it for anyone to do that has an interest in history and in architecture.

Great place to visit. The mansion is truly a piece of history. The materials used in the construction of this mansion is exceptional, quality and the owner must be a very wealthy man and must have great taste for quality product. The mansion was built in 1894 before the world war. Excellent craftwork. I just wanted to know the mindset of the owner when he before he built this mansion? Was he a architect?

Great for history lovers. Its a beautiful house and has a variety of tour options, including self-guided, which is what I prefer. When you buy your tickets, they give you a QR to scan for an audio guide, then you just explore the first and second floor of the house on your own. Its really nice. You get to take your time, which was really good for our group of mixed language speakers. They have guided tours as well, if thats more your thing. I think the guided tours open up the third floor, as well. Its a 10 minute drive from the ferry, and right next to Downtown, so I def recommend dropping by. Its extra pretty during Christmas.

The Moody Mansion website doesnt list a working phone number and has broken links. The lady selling tickets didnt know what days guided tours were available or even if the guided tour the day we were there was available. Moody Mansion is littered with passive aggressive signs not to touch anything. Instead of providing information about the Mansion, docents are more interested in hovering over guests to make sure theyre not touching anything. Overall, not a great experience.
