The actual gorditas were meh( no melted cheese or beans) but the quality of the meat was great. The fajita al carbon was delicious. The tripas i asked for crispy and they were on point! At the en i was surprised at the bill for what i ordered. They don t tell you about charging extra for al carbon and a can of coke for $4!

For anyone reading or leaving bad reviews...relax. The people working here are very kind, and yes, its a team effort. Multiple people will take care of you. The food is delicious. (I had a great cup of coffee as well.) Breakfast is my favorite here, and is very reasonably priced.The menu does have a few misprints on it, so if you have allergies or preferences, just ask or let your server know. *Gluten free may be tough here. Vegan/Vegetarian friendy.

I FOUND A COCKROACH IN MY FOOD I dont usually leave comments, good or bad, but this time I feel obliged to what happened to me yesterday at this restaurant in Galveston gorditas mexico I went to eat with a friend and I found the unpleasant surprise that there was a cockroach in the food. I ordered some chicken enchiladas and there were little cockroaches among the chicken, how disgusting and how irresponsible the people of this restaurant are with the cleanliness and quality of their food because I only let the waitress know and they didnt charge me but I stayed with poisoning from the dirty food they gave me. By the way, there were also hairs in the green sauce. I dont like doing shows but I let you know so that the same thing doesnt happen to you.

The food was really tasty. I had chicken Sizzlers, taco and quesadilla along with rice and beans. Chicken Sizzlers was 5/5 but I was expecting little better tacos. Our first time and the food was delicious! My husband ordered French toast while I got the Chilquiles and boyyyyy, well be sure to come back! Prices were super affordable, 9.99 - French Toast and eggs and 9.99 for Chilaquiles con Pollo, frijoles, papas, crema y quest fresco. The aguq de Jamaica was delicious as well. Enjoy!

The food was delicious! The best guacamole Ive had at a restaurant ever! There was no or very little cilantro, which I cant stand. I found the wait staff catered more to the Mexicans than to us, who are Caucasian. That was very disappointing. At one time, there were 4 or five wait staff at the other table while we waited for help. We even had to ask for our bill after most of our party had left.

Tried this place for the first time. The food arrived quickly and was tasty. I had the quesadilla with steak. I ordered a coke to drink. They brought out a can of coke. I thought that maybe their fountain drink machine was out. No worries. No one ever came back to check on me until the check arrived. I asked if I could get a refill and was told they don t do refills and it would be another charge. I haven t really encountered this before at a sit down restaurant other than when ordering bottled root beer or similar. It was just strange. Food was good though. I may order to go next time.

I m giving the restaurant 4 stars because I ordered the 5 mini tacos and it only came with 4!!! While waiting though we had chips and salsa. The chips were so warm and yummy!!! The red salsa came warm as well but no heat and almost tasted like tomato soup! The green salsa was my favorite and had some heat to it. Paid $22 with tip for one meal and chips and salsa. I visited this place in Galveston and the truth is the food is more or less passable, what is bad is the place itself, all very old furniture that doesnt even make you want to sit down, the restaurant smells old and looks bad and bad. smell, the waitresses are sweeping in the middle of the people while you eat, unfortunately I will not eat there again, I like to support the Hispanic economy but this restaurant has a lot to do, it has good facades and everything but it is not up to the standard of a good restaurant.

If youre looking for a vegan option, this may be your place. Ive only had one item off the vegan menu, because its great! Green sauce enchaladas packed with avacodos. The only thing that would make it better is if the kitchen cooked the dish with some good quality, plant based cheese melted on top, or on the side. The service is friendly and family style. As a Chef from Dallas I can be very picky. This is what it is nothing to special definitely Tex Mex. The Salsa Verdi is very good and just the right spice. It s very affordable for the type of cuisine. Food was on the ok side. I would have loved some seasoning and let it fly. That s my preference. Service was good. Atmosphere they need to capitalize on where they are located and update the decor and seating. The booths are worn out and a thing of the past. I still will give this place a 5 star based on they have a lot of potential.

I was really excited to try this place out. Typically when I see the word taqueria I leave satisfied. This was not the case last night. I originally went because I wanted nachos but after learning what they put on them I decided to pass because I would have ended up with a plate of chips, meat, and guac. Decided to go with the Quesabirria. I was in literal disgust. The meat was not only seasonless, it was way over cooked and mushy. Basically roast beef tacos if you will. The queso tasted like watered down cheez wiz with some red pepper in it and the green sauce was so spicy neither one of us could enjoy it. The fact I spent $50 for 2 drinks, queso, and 6 tacos to not be satisfied is unacceptable. I pay less at a taco truck with way better quality and tasting food. We sat there for awhile with empty plates and no check. When we asked for the check we didn t receive an itemized ticket so I m not even sure I was charged correctly. We won t be back. Edited to add I was definitely overcharged and this is probably why no one receives itemized checks. I will be stopping by to figure this out today.

So my brother and his wife are very well known by all the staff here and they are super sweet and accommodating but I noticed they treat all their customers with very high standards as well the atmosphere is family oriented, its a chill place with a down to home vibe. Ive had so many things in their menu and Ive yet to try something thats isnt amazing. Carne asada, tacos Of any sort, caldos are amazing and huge, they even have plantains with one of their breakfast dishes, they black beans not just refried red and charro, kids menú has an awesome pizza, their fries are so perfect, I can go on and on. So if you want a relaxed place with friends, family colleagues even and on the seawall where you literally see the beach from your table, this is the place!!! We were a party of 8 and couldnt sit together. That was fine. 3 different people came to our table We had to get up to get refills when it was time to pay the bill we did not get a check the person who was our waitress came to the table and just told us a price. I asked if we get a check, and she said yes. She just stood there waiting for me to hand her my card. We found it odd that it offered only a 7% tip that was the highest. When she finally brought me a bill, 18% gratuity was added, and she didnt tell us just handed us the machine to pay where it says add tip. The gratuity is fine, but tell us. Horrible sevice!

Its not your regular Tex-Mex but it was good. The green salsa had a little bit of heat. The red salsa was mild. Their black beans were very good.

Horrible service , waitress spend more time talking to each other plus I get it but make sure I have everything that I order and basically tips 18%_20 include I don t mind when the service is good , don t recommend.
