We got the breakfast burritos about 10 years ago they had the most expensive ones but currently they are about the same as anywhere else but taste the best. And the tortilla is soft and the red salsa they have goes best with it. We also got the steak quessadilla it comes with rise and vegetables. Large portions. Small place inside with seating outside and parking can be difficult. Overall its a good place to. Moderately priced.

We arrived at this location after a friend suggested it. I took it for what it was worth and gave it a shot! We were not disappointed. The food was well worth the posted cost, and the service was good. The food came out it was more than enough at todays prices! We all order and even went back the following day! The citizens of Galvaston were very pleasant people, no strangers here! I ordered the lengua ranchera and was on point with the homemade flour tortilla! That will be our new spot for sure! Parking: The parking is limited as well as the space. The locals know, and this place is jumping so early or mid-morning works best!

Service was great but we were not impressed by food. I got the Chilaquiles and it was literally melted cheese on bowl of chips with a lil salsa on top. We also had huevos ranchero and breakfast burrito. No flavor and the rancheros just looked like 2 fried eggs with side of refried beans and diced potatoes.

Also, the staff who served the food were absolutely fantastic, positive, helpful and winsome. Finally, we had their breakfast tacos the next day and they were superb. These guys are the real deal.

Kinda gross inside, and waitress had to be hailed every time we needed a refill, napkin, chips, etc. but the food was very tasty, and it was a quaint dive-type restaurant and not overly loud despite being full. Will return and eat here again bc that brunch was tasty.

Zero attention or care to a delivery order I placed. Even after I called to confirm the order and instructions, was still wrong when it showed up. Spending over $50 on two orders of tacos just for the order to be incorrect is disappointing. Tacos were extremely dry and they didnt include a single lime even after I specifically asked for them

This is a slice of heaven. The brightly decorated interior matches the upbeat personalities of the staff. This is not your ordinary Mexican restaurant. It feels that way until your food arrives. The plates are elegant. The servings are robust. The food presentation is beautiful. The eggs here are perfectly cooked and perfectly white with a soft texture every time. Did I mention the fresh homemade large tortillas?

Food was good, enjoyed the display for my meal. I had the huevos divorsadios. Pricing was reasonable and enjoyed the food aspect. Had the only male server in the restaurant, didnt remember anything we asked of him. He disappeared for 10 minutes and didnt return to us after we finished our food. Had to get up and walk to the register to pay. Meanwhile, hes walking around and looks at me, standing around and seemingly not interested in paying us out. Thus, we had to get another waiter to pay us out. Good food, waiter not so much

Door dashed a Mexican taco plate. After all the fees and everything, I was left with dry chicken tacos and they left off the beans and cheese. Called the store and they said I can come get them. So, not only would my food be cold by then, Id basically have paid door dashes fees, plus $5 tip. Horrible excuse for customer service. Cant be that hard looking at a food ticket that says BEANS AND CHEESE. I doubt I even know anyone that eats plain tacos with nothing on them. Theyve been ok in the past, but after learning g how they handle their own mistakes, Ill never go back.

Henry, the owner, and the entire staff take immense pride in catering to their patrons. They go the extra mile to ensure top-notch service and deliver the most authen simple Mexican cuisine you can find. Recommend breakfasts the best! Rest assure you leave full. A civilized dining experience!! I have been eating in Mexican restaurants all my life. Bambu is a rarity. Clean, tasteful dining atmosphere. Great food. Nice portions, and excellent service. Now, here is my explanation of civilized dining: real flatware....not the stuff you usually see in Mexican restaurants...you know the forks and knives that came from a prison labor camp in Siberia. Real plates and glasses too! No more Styrofoam cups or plastic tumblers that look like they were gnawed on by rats... Do yourself a favor, dine at Bambus. UPDATE as of 8-3 (service downgrade) Food is still good, Jaime is the only guy working at lunch it seems. The owners need to consider hiring more waiters...

Theres construction on the road so its a little loud right now. The food was, in my honest opinion plain. Nothing had any flavor at all. The only thing that did have flavor was the side of rice we ordered and it had too much Maggie Seasoning. The flour tortillas, sorry tortilla, was not fresh made neither are the corn. They give you one big tortilla that they use for the burritos. The beans were cold. The machacado just tasted like plain dry meat. The meat in the fajita tacos was just basically cooked with nothing added to it. This place is more for the tourists that dk Mexican food Im guessing. I didnt give it 1 star because my nonmexican friends liked it.

It was my grandsons 20th birthday and it was absolutely perfect. The little waitress even sang Happy Birthday w/out even being asked. Made it that much more special. Thank you Bambu for such a special memory.

We were driving around the town before boarding the Ruby Princess cruise. I saw this restaurant and tried their Surprise Borito and the breakfast plate. Both taste so good. Best value for the price and free parking spaces are on the street in front of the restaurant. Highly recommend. Dr. Wech

Only stopped in for breakfast but burritos are massive, cost of eggs has forced most of these small Mom&Pops to increase their prices but Im more than willing to cover it and still tip these employees appropriately.

Stop here before the cruise. Totally worth it. Barbacoa with eggs is their #1 dish, and was worth it.

Would like to see a broad lunch menu. They have great food and I suspect there dinner menu is better. Would like to see fish, shrimp, poblano and nopales on the lunch menu. Love their lemon aid as well
