Worst management ever..No hotels should charge 34.50 for a key if housekeeping hasnt verified the additional keys are in the room..Then take 7 to 10 business days to refund your money...POOR MANAGEMENT! WILL NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN. Noteworthy details: Horrible management

Dont waste your hard earned $$. Two towels in the bathroom, the room was very narrow and the bathroom is dangerous because you could easily slip in the tub. Rooms: Too narrow. Be warned: It is IT wheelchair friendly. If two people of normal size cant pass each other side by side, you know they are narrow.

Stayed at this location after seeing it several times while visiting 61st fishing pier. First of all, Logan at the front desk was AMAZING. Helped me get booked over the phone, was helpful in food recommendations, was pleasant in person. The room itself was very accommodating for me my wife and children. It did have a slight smell, but it s a beach house, we didn t mind. Pool was nice as well. Only complaint was the elevator, it took FOREVER going up and down. Other than that, very affordable, plenty of room, GREAT location and views!

They are outdated but very clean. They had a bunk bed set my daughter loved the pool was wonderful and it was quiet. Rooms: Outdated but very clean, ours had bunk bed and kitchen it was very nice we loved it. They were expensive but its the beach so its to be expected. Nearby activities: Beach is right across the street, really nice restaurant next door we walked over. Walkability: A couple eating places within walking distance, the beach is right across the street and there are other stores u could walk to, we didnt but we could see them.

The only negative thing I have to say is I was unaware there was a $40 HOA fee that must be paid in order for you to be able to park up to two cars. We drove in in three vehicles, and someone had to go home because we had no place to put their vehicle. Walkability: Directly across the street from the beach

Whenever we need to take a short break from our daily lives. We usually head to Galveston for a couple of days. Our first choice would be find a rental at Casa Del Mar. We love the convenience and views of this location. So far, the best rental was #329. Private rental by Hosts: Mary Jane and Oscar/Serene Seaside. Apartment was clean. Supplies were plentiful. AC blasts cold. Beach is a walk across the Seawall boulevard. You can see the beach view from balcony. The pools were awesome and enjoyable. Would book again!

Booked with Airbnb room 129, we saw fantastic reviews. Unfortunately we had a bad experience. First thing was we were struggling for parking, went to get food & no parking. 2nd was it says 2 bedroom, it is not really a 2 bedroom. 3rd Bunk beds are way too small, this will not accommodate 6 at all & we went with 5. 4th the biggest thing to me was as soon as we walked in FLEAS STARTED JUMPING ON US & EATING US ALIVE. I COULDVE WORKED WITH THE OTHER THINGS BUT FLEAS! MY DAUGHTER BROKE OUT IN HIVES & I HAD MY GRAND WITH ME & COULDNT ALLOW HER TO WALK AROUND. FLEAS WERE LIVING IN THE CARPET SO WHEN WE STEP ON THE CARPET THEY BECOME HYPERACTIVE & EAT US. 5th Morad was our host & he apologized but basically told me he was still getting 350$ even with me leaving. Original price 460$. How does that seem fair? I have to take my daughter to get allergy medicine & we all couldnt sleep all night because these fleas. Apparently if u book 3rd party, u cant ask nobody for help only the host. The host didnt respond till the next day & Airbnb would only give me 311$ which was better than 200$ they were originally trying to give me. Please be aware! Not only did this host give himself a bad name, he gave it to casa del Mar & Airbnb a bad name. The greediness & the room were the cherry on top. We all have families to protect & care for. Oh & there is NO BEACH VIEW Walkability: It is walking distance to the beach & has a few fast food places withing walking distance as well.

Across the street from the Beach . Great walking distance to a grocery store and several shops including a frozen custard place. Clean has 2 pools. The pools are warm instead of cold which was odd for us mid western folks as we dont heat pools in the summer. But overall great. Rooms: A very clean and cute. This one has a beach theme which is right on point with it being across the street from the beach Walkability: Many things are within walking distance of this location. Grocery stores a surf shop and many other little shops and I think a mall is a couple blocks down as well.

We were extremely pleased with our condo here (that we booked through Airbnb, not the suites company itself). The location was right in front of Babes beach so it was easy to walk. There were two pools that the kids loved. Parking was easy and there was always a spot close to our elevator. We also enjoyed that there was a pay-to-use ($2 each) washer/dryer on our floor, an ice machine one floor down, and trash bins everywhere. The staff was all friendly and they were constantly cleaning/tidying. I would absolutely stay here again and book through Daniel and Sam on Airbnb!

So, heres the deal. Weve stayed her 2 additional times. I am aware that most of the units are 3rd party owned. I always book through a 3rd party. However, a change from past stays is that you receive NO service from the front desk if you book from a 3rd party owner. NO towels, cant help you with your key pad, if you have immediate maintenance issues, cannot help. Next issue is that the security has gone completely downhill. No arm bands to determine who can be in the pool or on the property. In the middle of the night, parties were raging in the building we were in. And homeless people would walk by and scream at the top of their lungs. We had the hardest time sleeping. I will never stay here again. I do not recommend.

My children and their grandmother are currently at the hotel during tropical storm Beryl. They have a beach front room, water is coming in on the floor and their bathroom ceiling is falling in. After the storm subsided, they asked to switch rooms because of the water damage and were told they could not because she booked with a third party. They currently have no towels or blankets (they use them to stop the flood). Staff did not even bring them new ones. The power is out due to the storm, which is bad enough, but forcing my children and their grandma to sleep in a water damaged room in the dark is disgusting. I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone. Safety: This place is not safe and treated us like crap. After using the towels and blankets to top water from flooding the room. We did not receive any new linen from staff, nor did anyone come and clean up the damage. Noteworthy details: The ceiling in the bathroom is falling in, plaster is in the sink, but we were still denied a functioning room. No one came to clean up the damage.

The condo was so cute and had everything. The front desk is not helpful at all as they say they have nothing to do with the privately owned condos. The general location is great, but I recommend choosing a room on the west side of the complex away from the very busy 61st Street. Note to myself to take that advice next time I stay there. There was a view of the ocean, but there was also a view of the ExxonMobil station, the McDonalds, and the Popeyes not to mention a view and sound of the traffic going in and out of those places.

The ONLY issue is the bed, Room 352; Like concrete. Wife got up in middle of the night and slept on the couch. Given these are condos, its doubtful every room has the same bed. STAY AWAY!!! TRASH! TRASH! ......TRASH RUDE STAFF and Teresa Elliot POOR MANAGEMENT!!! Apparently theres numerous REVIEWs with rude staff comments.... OBVIOUSLY THE MANAGER NEEDS TO BE FIRED!.... if its a constant issue. 2 days I was there. Just STRAIGHT SORRY SERVICE!!! When first arrived.... security was called on a family and kids for feeding birds in parking lot. When moms was checking in. Security basically yelled at kids. Another time maintenance guy started arguing with a guest in the parking lot about something.... regardless what... staff should be professional. I didnt stick around; my kids didnt need to see rude quarals on vacation. Then security and maintenance man had another fight the next night. With someone else. TRASH! TRASH! TRASH! Again instead of calming things down infront of family these staffer seemed embolden. As to starting a fight by being aggressive. As to add to the fire... instead of handling in a professional manner..... Ive stayed here last year and one other time with freinds.... NEVER SEEN UNPROFESSIONAL STAFF as emboldened rude Trash.... obviously its management because after bringing it up to Teresa Elliot the Manager. This rude trash blew me off.. and made a comment .....guest was not important. Owners matter.....BASIC management 101 GUEST PAY THE BILLS FOR THE OWNERS. CUSTOMERS SERVICE is what keeps the Guest coming. Obviously this place have fallen for $299 a night. NO CUSTOMER SERVICE; JUST HORRIBLE DRACONIAN ASININE STAFF.... even told the front counter about extending only one day ONLY BECAUSE KIDS WANTED TO STAY... AND CLEANING STAFF KNOCKED HARD ON THE DOOR AT 11:05... as if breaking in......NO COURTESY CALLED... WILL YOU BE EXTENDING ... this staff has NO CUSTOMER SERVICE. NO SENSE OF RUNNING A LEMONADE STAND..... NONETHELESS A HOTEL!!! ..... JERRY SPRINGER STAFF comes to mind.... UNPROFESSIONAL RUDE PERIOD!........BOTTOMLINE, I get some guest with issues.... but what I seen.... this staff and manager is the one with SERVICE ISSUES! STAY AWAY!!! TRASH! TRASH!TRASH! ........... DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!! AND RUIN YOUR VACATION!!!!!!

See site map on their site Only a few cons the room size no latch on our door (made us a bit nervous because our littles could unlock the door) Please look at the layout before booking. We were 2 adults, a 16, 4 and 2 year old. Queen bed, Pull out and bunk beds. Very small kitchenette BUT everything was spotless, coffee pot was clean, dishes were clean. NO DISHWASHER (no room if they tried to put one) the only reason 4 out of 5 was size.

We arrived to a room that looked nothing like the images that were provided to us, vynl siding in the bathrooms was falling down, mattresses in the bunks were foam slabs, and carpet was torn up. However, this was not the worst of it. When we walked into the condo there was a note from the HOA that a routine extermination had taken place. We checked the beds and mattresses for bedbugs but did not see anything concerning. But when we unfolded our blankets to get ready for bed we found bed bugs. Thankfully we had not been bit yet, but based on the note they knew about this issue. They have been very unhelpful and and uncooperative.

The rooms are pretty basic but not terrible. They have 2 pools on site as well so that is a big plus. You are within walking distance to many restaurants and walmart/kroger are fairily close. The location is kinda a double edged sword. It is on the sea wall so you are right there among a lot of things to do and/or a short drive from most other places. That said, it is on the corner of a busy intersection and getting out is definitely a pain. If you have kids and youre on a budget and want somewhere to stay this is a pretty good place.

We just stayed here for 4 nights and we had a great experience! We booked directly through the Casa Del Mar website. The condo was so clean. Our view was great. Beach is just across the street and close to a crosswalk. Food and grocery is very close by as well. There was security on property which I appreciated, making sure people thay were using the pool were residents. The pool was kept very clean too! We are definitely staying here again next year. Walkability: Great walking distance to so much

We booked casa de mar from the air bnb website. Although our host was fantastic! , The rooms were great and the location amazing, I was more upset with the hotel itself. I think this place needs flooring and minimal carpet. Being across the street from the beach and having 2 pools the carpets smell like mildew. Its probably because its constantly wet. Even the AC units had a stench that wasnt great. We do recommend coming here for sure, hopefully they consider updating the problem.

The room was awesome. The location was awesome. We have been coming here for years and I cant understand what happened between the last time we stayed here and this time, but there is a lot of parking lot drama, including two women fighting about a dude. The hot tub is now called a cooling tub and the jets do not function. I called the front desk and asked how to turn them on, the lady working said we do not have a hot tub and hung up on me. The next day I went in and asked, hoping a different staff member would be more professional, this one aggressively stated Ive been working here for 10 years and we have never had a hot tub I offered to show it to her and she got even more hostile, claiming that the jets dont exist. Also was annoyed by my request for quarters to do laundry in their coin op guest laundry room. Additionally, an owner of a nearby condo to the one we rented smoked pot all day both in the condo and outside. The smell was inescapable and extremely potent. Will never stay here again. Nearby activities: Close to everything

We stayed in 221 and it was so beautifully decorated. We loved it! The only problem was that something was wrong with the lock. It took us forever to get it locked and unlocked. I called ryson, and someone was supposed to come fix it when we checked in, and they didnt come until the next day, and it still was very difficult to open. Its a short walk to the beach, but the intersection is dangerous. A few of the people in the office are rude and short. Response I heard from them for every other question was we only charge for parking contact owner. I get thats probably the answer most of the time, but try wording it differently. The elevator floors stay soaking wet too so if your going somewhere other than the beach or pool plan on standing in puddles. The washer and dryer work very well. $2 for each and bring quarters.

Location is great, but our room had a leak and flooded. We called several times and they kept saying someone would come. 4AM someone shows up to temporarily fix it, even he said it was an insane amount of water. Following morning more guys came to fix it and completely flooded the bathroom/hallway. Used all of our towels, we called for more towels and toilet tissue. WE HAD TO GO BUY OUR OWN TOWELS, RAGS, TOILET PAPER. It s $40 a day for parking plus the room fee, and there is no front desk help. $1000+ for terrible service. It s very outdated, super small, and leaks everywhere. Not worth it, save the money.

What This Hotel Is: Close to beach and a pier with fishing Great home base with kitchen, utensils, pots, pans and cooking tools, fridge, etc Great for families Decent parking Walking distance from a few family-friendly, affordable establishments Walking distance from Kroger What This Hotel Is Not: A destination for a romantic weekend for a couple looking for great dining options Anyone looking to spoil themselves Walking distance from Paradise Pier Walking distance from moderate to upscale dining A hotel that provides daily housekeeping or additional amenities (such as an ice bucket) Overall, I wouldnt say this hotel provided a bad experience by any means. It just wasnt what was expected at all. The pools were really small. There is no housekeeping service daily. Decent dining options are NOT within walking distance or close by. Paradise Pier is an hour walk from the hotel one way. Many of the other hotel occupants were loud yelling in the hallways and such. It is very dated and there is nothing modern about this hotel but I wouldnt say it was run down persay. They had brass keys, and the door knobs are different on every door. If I were going to cook and get groceries this would have been a better fit since they have all the amenities for that but I was hoping to spoil myself and relax so it just wasnt the best fit for what I was looking for. We ordered Ubereats, but it took an hour to get delivered because of how far off the hotel is from everything. The service was alright. No one was unwelcoming, and no one was really welcoming. They just really went thru the motions of checking you in and out. They didnt really go the extra mile, and focus was lacking on the hospitality aspect of the day to day. Perhaps in the future, for a family trip, I would stay here again in the future. The research we did on the hotel before booking didnt really seem to be in line with our experience here. We just felt like what we paid for was not worth the experience we got. We couldve stayed somewhere else for a comparable price and received the hotel experience we were looking for.

Our room was musty, small and had an undertone of mildew, somehow the bed felt moist as well. It worked for a last minute accommodation for a night but we were really scared after observing certain unseemly activities from the balcony that night. We had staff enter our room twice unannounced in our 1 day stay. Ended up checking out early and they refused to refund me because it was 11:04 and by their definition check out needed to happen by 11 am. For our safety it made more sense to say forget the money and book a room at the San Luis Hotel instead for the rest of our trip.

Spent a week in a ocean facing condo. The view was amazing. Our unit was clean and comfortable. The only problem we had was the homeless man living in the bus stop and the shady people that hung around him. They were free to roam throughout the property night or day. We were harassed on the beach by one of these people. It was extremely uncomfortable. I literally had 911 punched in just in case. Thankfully we made it back to the condo without any further trouble. The condo should consider keyless entry to elevator and floor access.

I wasnt impressed with the crazy parking rate ($40 a day) that they dont mention you have to pay when you stay here though and AirBnb at least. Parking is free on the street on evenings, so pay attention to that. These are definitely dated, so dont expect anything fancy. It worked for my friends and me for the night, though. Prices are apparently pretty good here, so thats a plus.

We rented a room here as an air bnb, check in was 4 and check out by noon. We paid an extra $40 to park there which wasnt a huge deal. The location is great and easy to find but the parking lot has some very steep spots that may not get along well with low vehicles. When we got to our room shortly after 4:30, there were towels on the floor, fries on the floor, the bedsheets were all balled up on the beds and there was still somebody elses hair on the pillows. We contacted the person through airbnb that the room had not been cleaned, he told us he would send someone and we went out to grab food and watch the sunset anyway, when we reached out after not hearing from him for a few hours he said the room was now clean. After the first night, the person I was with woke up with red bumps all over his arms, chest, shoulders, and back. I had regular mosquito bites from the day before, but nothing like the bumps on him. They took several days to go away, but apparently did not itch and my best guess is it could be a reaction to the soap they use for laundry- all the beds seemed very clean around the mattress seams and I couldnt find anything that might have meant bed bugs so we are fairly confident it wasnt that. Only other issue was the pool temperature. They said the one closest to us was heated. It was a good temperature for a pool for kids to play in but the day before we wanted to use it they added water and the hot tub and pool were the same temperature, we sat out there for less than 10 minutes before we were shivering and cold in the hot tub. Some other guests getting in as we left said that was not the case the few nights before they had been sitting in it which means we probably just got unlucky on which day we picked to go in there. Overall, the room was cute and the view of the ocean was pleasant, we were able to sleep with the patio doors open and listen to the waves. The patio had chairs and a wagon and cooler to take to the beach but they didnt look in the best shape by any means.
