At over 10 miles long and rising 17 feet above sea level, the historic Seawall is the longest continuous sidewalk in the US. Simply taking a stroll or a bike ride along it are popular pastimes, but the Seawall also boasts miles of beaches, chair/umbrella rentals, unique shops, restaurants, and thrilling attractions to entertain just about anyone. Paid parking is required daily from 10 AM to 6 PM through the PayByPhone app or by calling 409.797.5198.

Sydromino and I lept from wave to wave with great joy the historical seawall and all the beauties took us on 2 ways to boba and pizza and ACADEMY we laid upon the wall and spoke of the pleasures of the past so we turned back around and went to the Galveston island pleasure pier

When rating Galveston Seawall you have to take into consideration all of the businesses as well as the history. Overall, even though the seawall itself is quite bland, you really cannot resist driving end to end on every trip to Galveston. If you do, you will miss something.

One of the best parts was being able to take our pups, as long as they are one leash . They had the best time. FYI - you have to pay for parking during the day, unless you head toward Stewart Beach and park on the opposite side of the street. Visited on

To start, it s Galveston. You can t really expect much. There s a lot of trash around and it doesn t really smell too good depending on what area you re at. The beaches in Galveston here aren t too great either. The water is very dirty and would not recommend to put your head under. I only go waist deep or stay on the sand and do the usual of digging or eating the time there. Overall, if you can find the decent areas, bring your friends/family and have fun.

The beach is not deep, the water is not crystal clear but it was delicious, you have to be careful because sharks have been sighted, but to spend some time it is very good the beach is free, you have to see where to park

Great time, beautiful beach however lots of trash built up from people throwing it on the beach at it getting caught in the weeds up top. City needs to make a bigger effort to keep the beaches clean! Be carefully of the jellyfish washing up on shore and some sharp shells on the beach too. Great zero entry zone and you can walk for a bit before it gets deeper so good for kids playing

Been there so many times over the years, and its not a great attraction as it used to be. Back in the old days the water was much cleaner and didnt have a bad smell as it does now. I remember we would occasionally rent the 4-wheel surrey bikes to ride on the Seawall overlooking the beaches, and that was fun but its best to do it in cooler weather when its not so hot like it is during the summers. Plenty of hotels/motels if you want to spend the night there, and there are some good restaurants along the way if you get hungry. Id recommend Millers, Gaidos or Fish Tails.

Magnificent and huge beach for a Frenchie like me. The water was good so I bathed in it, but the side current quickly pushed me aside and between the rollers I had a feeling I was not safe, so I quickly got back up before having a bad encounter in the water...(report to JAWS!). The Gulf of Mexico is not only home to nice fish, great experience. Thank you TEXAS
