We had this place before and the food was much better the first time. I had a chicken pita with pilaf rice/fries. The pita and rice were okay. These items didnt seem to have the flavor they had when we tried this place for the first time. My lady had crab cakes ( I tried but not for me) and she enjoyed them for an appetizer as well as the feta toast bites. She enjoyed those, except for the zesto feta pieces which had some kick to them. She also ordered the flat bread pizza which was okay. The spinach didnt do it any justice. I enjoyed a couple of Michelob Ultras and she had some water.

I can t drive anymore so DoorDash brought me my food. I am so delighted to say that it was the best meal I ve had in a long while. The hummus was delicious, the spanakopitas as wonderful as I remember, and the gyro sandwich is my ultimate favorite. I love their food and just wish I could drive down to their great restaurant 2-3 times a week like I used to. But I added atmosphere because it was always super. Thanks so much!

I m a local, and went to Kritikos for the very first time yesterday on Tuesday and unfortunately I was not impressed. We ordered Guyro Natchos off of the Happy hour Menu and they came out on some burnt chips and the cheese was half way melted. Got 23$ Alfredo with chicken, and a 13$ meat lovers pitta pizza. Unfortunately the Alfredo was old and sour and the chicken was strips of already prepared chicken with fake black lines on it, I was actually very confused on why the dish was 23$. Described as fresh blackened chicken, but was actually black bag chicken from members mark, It tasted like walk in aka something, wether it s the sauce, noodles, or spinach, it has been sitting in the walk in fridge too long and has now gone sour/bad . The pita pizza was good but i just couldn t see myself going back for it, but what really turned my stomach up was the bright pink lipstick on the rim of my cup that I was drinking out of. the Atmosphere was very nice brightly decorated, staff was nice, didn t really see my server because I believe they were also playing host and door dash attendant for the evening which is no problem! but, it would have been nice to feel comfortable enough to tell them it didn t taste good but it s all good. I took my L, paid the tab in full and left, I don t think I ll return ONLY for the fact of the menu is very misleading food is subpar at best, cheap ingredients and fancy words don t mix.

We were in the mood for something different and had heard great things about Kritikos. Delicious Greek food and great service. We tried the sampler plate and the hummus and moussaka were standouts for me. They also have a traditional kids menu if you have less adventurous eaters. I really want to come back and try a Gyro. They re huge and look really tasty. The dining room is nothing fancy but this is a great place for a casual meal or takeout if you re looking for something unique to try while visiting the island.

This place is not a genuine Greek restaurant. They dont have ouzo. Their dishes are very Americanized, quite far from true Greek cuisine. One waiter was very polite and personable. Oh my goodness! What can I say, this place is AMAZING with both food AND service! Came in with my elderly mother after finishing up some of the Galveston Historic homes tour, and just beat a line of bad storms. We used to come here to this location years ago when it was just called Olympia Grill, and we always knew we could get the best Greek food here, and seeking respite from the storms, we were in need of comfort food. Let me tell you we got EXACTLY what we were seeking, and special shout out to Michelle, our server! This ladys shining personality and infectious laughter was just delightful! She was so fun and lighthearted and truly made our expectations and experience top notch! I am SO GLAD we stopped here for dinner this evening! And to the back of the house, WELL DONE on the gyro meat that was perfectly seasoned, and the baklava is absolutely the BEST I have ever tasted! Not too sweet, not too syrupy, but spot on just right! If you are in Galveston, and looking for some delicious Greek/Mediterranean food, I urge you strongly to give this place a try! Ask for Michelle for your server! You wont regret it!

All courses were flavorful and our server was great at handling our table. Place was empty and I can see why. The food was extremely sub par. I wanted to splurge a bit seeing as we were on family vacation. I wanted the lamb chops, one of my favorites on rare occasions. $34 was a bit high but again why not. This is what showed up. Literally 6 bites and Im being generous. What a joke. The service was slow and haphazard at best. It was a really bad experience.

We wanted to try something different. Kritikos was wonderful. The Kritikos Platter was a nice way to experience a number of dishes/flavors.

What a lovely experience! We got to meet Lefteris as well, the owner. Here you will find the freshest seafood and more. Our favorites were the sautéed calamari and the Shrimp Santorini Pasta. Scott was very attentive and a great server. Will definitely suggest this to every food lover.

Ive been all over Europe and the Mediterranean, and this was of the best gyros that Ive had. The meat was tender and juicy. My wife thought the coconut shrimp was excellent. One word of caution, share the baklava cheesecake. We both ordered a slice, the slices were huge !!!

Large greek salad only had 4 olives with seeds, three tomatoes and most of it was just wilted lettuce. Paid 16 dollars. So disappointed as reviews said it was good maybe different when you eat in. Dressing was not great either

For Greek owners I was absolutely surprised by how tasteless spanakopita was, nothing special or memorable, when we told the waitress how utterly tasteless some of the dishes were she made no effort to make things right. So we paid full price and heres the review.

We were there last Sunday afternoon. The food was delicious and the service was exemplary. I had the tuna seared sesame appetizer which was a filling lunch. The tuna was fresh, the wasabi sauce was hot, and fresh salad on the plate. My husband had the seafood bouillabaisse which was full of tender chunks of fresh fish, mussels, clams and shrimp. The broth was a well blended elixir of seasonings. I have been here before and have always found the vegetables, salads and entrees very fresh. This is the Best Greek Restaurant on the Island!

Underrated! This is the best Greek food in the houston area! The gyro was soooo tender and soft. Its never to busy so while the rest of galveston is packed out, I can enjoy a quiet meal with my husband. They have the best fish tacos in the area, beating out the seafood restaurants. We love to visit kritikos

Not even close to what I was expecting. Falafel was a frozen patty deep fried.. salad was brown and over seasoned, fish poboy was not even close.. soggy from grease.. asked for tartar, got watery tahini.. not seasoned at all. Pickled veggies were not pickled at all. Pitas were chewy with no bite. Do not recommend.

Took a last minute trip to Galveston (for the weekend) husband wanted Greek so we decided to try Kritkos Grill and surprisingly the food was absolutely delicious and off course our waitress Nikki made suggestions on our entire meal her picks were on point. I had the grill pork chops, hubby had the chicken pasta with shrimp, bread pudding and baklava cheese cake were to die for. Her customer service was just as awesome. Thank you Nikki for making our first experience delightful we ll definitely take you up on the breakfast on our next visit.

Patricia was my server and she was awesome. She was very sweet, attentive, and provided quick and friendly service. Unfortunately the food was very subpar. I got a gyro with sweet potato fries. The sweet potato fries were nice and crunchy but plain and lacked salt. The gyro meat was good, tender with a nice flavor. It came with a decent serving of meat. The vegetables which were tomatoes and onions fell flat and had almost no flavor. There was no cucumber or lettuce which may have helped some (even though they arent always served on gyros; I thought cucumbers were pretty standard but maybe Im mistaken about the lettuce). I chose to add feta cheese to my gyro and it was the only thing that added some flavor other than the meat. The tzatziki sauce was not good and it was very plain. The meal cost about $20 which for what you received quality wise was too costly in my honest opinion. I may or may not go back to try it again because this time was disappointing.
