I met my grandson there on occasion and it is a special time for us. This time he saw a choo choo train in the country store. It is always a special time to see his eyes light up. The waiter and waitress in training were attentive and caring.

I wasnt too happy. We were greeted/seated quickly, and the hostess told us the special, which was pot roast. Sounds great. The waitress gets there and I order the special. Nope, were out of the special. So, I ordered the strip steak, which was ok. The Hostess continued to push the special to everyone she sat, I know because I was sitting at the first table in the door right behind her stand. Maybe dont push something you dont actually have in the future. I wont be going back there. there are way too many places to choose from in the Houston area.

The waiter did his best but when I brought my kid to get a birthday meal the waiter spilled the water all over both my kids on the clothes and all over but the problem was most of the people didnt even try to clean it up the waiter did but no manager came over to ask if we were okay I felt like it was an inconvenience that water was spilled they didnt comp the meal and that was a birthday meal so I was pretty upset with that I didnt blame the waiter because he said he was sorry over and over again but I never left their feeling like they were concerned that it was built all over one person that worked there even said that there was nothing they could do about the water spilling that was just an accident or my kid had to go back to work then it would have been a problem but no manager no one walked up and said if we were okay with it or wanted to ask us if anything about it so I was not very happy with that and it took a while to get our food which I guess is normal for that place but do not try to make up for the spill really irritated me

I ordered the smoked chicken breast with veggies. The first one was BLACK in the middle. It was about 1/4 inch thick. I ate the outside portion. The back was tan while the top was nasty tasting and looking. So I asked for the manager who took about 30 minutes to show up at my table. She assured me that it was prepared properly. Then she asked if I would like another one. She said it was black from the seasonings they use. So I asked for very little seasoning or none. About 25 minutes later, a solid black breast showed up in a to-go box. I just left it as it was. Maybe she would try it. I paid for my dinner. I was told that I should have left without paying anything. I was so disgusted and frustrated. I entered about 5 PM and left a little after 7 PM on a Friday night. That manager was clueless about customer service and food service standards.

My bonus mom, had her 75th birthday dinner at Cracker Barrel today. I cannot say more good things about the staff at this location. Special shout out to Manda and Phoenix who went out of their way to make Mama G s birthday special. From the time we arrived, we were greeted warmly at the hostess stand. You can really tell the staff are not only friendly to customers, but they truly are friendly, and helpful with each other. The food was delicious we had the Sunday special pot roast, pot pie, steak, and chicken. All of the food was hot, fresh, and the pot roast was super tender. They brought us a basket of bread before our meal came out and ended our dinner with a Coca Cola cake on a decorated plate:) Thank you so much for making our Sunday dinner out so memorable. We will definitely be back!! Happy 75th Birthday to Grandma Dirty(Today). Happy Anniversary also to Lloyd and Diane(Yesterday). I would also highly recommend this Cracker Barrel, for large groups, or celebrations they do a great job.

Couple of years back he was simply a busboy, but still had the generosity of his time to help our table out when our own waitress was too busy. Now he is an outstanding server instead of a busboy! Parking: This place has great parking with the exception of where they should have extra wheelchair accessible parking they have put to go parking. They could move them over a few more spots and everything will be fine Kid-friendliness: Has a great variety of childrens meals. We also wanted to try the baked apple cobbler for sharing, but two orders were brought to our table instead of one. We werent asked how many servings we wanted, and we didnt want to return it to avoid food wastage. I think the service could be improved by paying attention to these details. We ended up paying more than we should have and not getting the right order and also not getting the right attentiveness in service.

Biscuits were tough, had to ask server for fresher biscuit. Rainbow trout, delicious. I was enjoying my mashed potatoes until I was to the halfway point and then they were hard. It s like they may have gave me the last bit from one pan then put fresh on top of it. It was disappointing and to mention it to the server seemed like a waste of time because I was practically done with my meal. My servers were top notch, wish I was able to tip more. But the food was bad enough that I may not go back. In the retail section I had a coupon from my email that the cashier knew nothing about, made for a very slow frustrating transaction

Always a great atmosphere and friendly employees. My dining companion and I both got the fried chicken dinner. The sides were great however the fried chicken was extremely overcooked and dry. Parts of the chicken were so overcooked it was leathery. This was the same for both dinners. It appears that they have gotten rid of the Broccoli rice casserole and a few other sides since my last visit. The peach cobbler was delicious but extremely overpriced for portion size. $5.99 for about 1/2 cup (4oz) peaches with a 3 inch square piece of crust on top. Cheddars is looking much better after this visit which is where we originally went to but they were closed due to power outage. After this visit Cracker Barrel is no longer a desirable restaurant for regular patronage.

Then when 5 black people came they no longer could assist. Theyve sitted more than 15 people since weve been standing here. Betta and the manager pictured needs a master class in service. Betta wouldnt even get the manager so I called out to a manager for assistance. I was met with rudeness from that manager. I shouldnt have had to call for her. She should have come to apologize and speak to us directly. If youre black with a large party, dont go, is my recommendation. They said they were short on servers, but the sitting of over more than 16 people said otherwise. I spend quite a bit at Cracker Barrell regularly. No More! I was taught a valuable lesson today, the old Cracker Barrell way of racism still stands at 1301 League Line Rd. I asked for the GMs name. I was told Q and thats all Betta knew. Thankfully, I met Q at Logans Steakhouse roughly 10 years ago and shes a friend on FB. She is customer service personified from my experience. This meeting was a surprise send off for a sister colleague and friend that was ruined by bias and othering. Corporate will be receiving communication from all the adults present. I wish I could post the video of the nasty aggression of the manager as she approached. I wish would have videoed the smirks from the host as we questioned and asked to be sitted.

Facts: we arrived at 7:05 for a colleagues surprise going away breakfast. We approached the hostess stand and informed her of our party size. Hostess advised that they were unable to seat unless the entire party was here. We understand this is a common practice at most restraunts. They proceeded to push tables together and pull out utensils for our party size. We were advised they only had 3 servers at this time and it may be delayed. We continued to wait until our entire party arrived and were still denied seating, meanwhile multiple parties equaling more than our party size were being sat while we were still being forced to wait infront of the entrance, making us block the way. The only difference between our party and the other parties was the color of our skin. The hostess and the manager on shift were rude, condescending, and couldnt explain the reasoning as to why they were not seating us. This has been a long week for everyone, many of us still not having power, yet we still wanted to go out and celebrate our colleague. We will never go to this or any other cracker barrel ever again as apparently, additional training of staff is needed.

Disgusting and atrocious are a couple terms to described what happened today. As someone that has worked over 10 years in restaurant and hospitality businesses, it s an absolute right to say that an establishment that is opened, but unable to treat their guests with respect or acknowledgment no matter on how big, small, or what shade of skin you are should retrace and retrain their staff. Hosts/Hostesses are considered the face of the restaurant but if they are not able to accommodate or find solutions outside of the box then maybe they should not be the front facing team especially if they re not able to recognize that a supervisor/manager needs to be called on. A manager wow someone who has taken a position as part of the lead group and comes out screaming without any intent to listen to their guests should not be part of the management group. Please find direction in the words spoken in the reviews received not just saying to send an email to keep things on the hush hush. I ve always referred many guests to Cracker Barrel as a homey restaurant for those new to Texas and the whole Southern Hospitality vibe, which is obviously no where to be seen at this Conroe location. Thank you for ruining a joyous occasion. Anyone looking anywhere else? I ll recommend to head a couple more minutes down to the Woodlands where it s more down to earth than here.

I would leave zero stars if I could. I ve come to this location for years, but never will again. We planned a going-away party for a beloved colleague. I and another colleague and her adult daughter arrived first. We asked for a table for twelve. An elderly hostess with silver hair and metallic green eyeshadow informed us we could not be seated until the whole party arrived. (This policy would shift several ways over the next half hour). So the three of us waited. Table after table of others were seated. When another large contingent arrived, we were now at least 8 in number with one more still in the car; soon after, we were 11. The elderly hostess with metallic green eyeshadow informed us she would not seat us until the person in the car came in. She told another member of our party she would seat us when half arrived, and more than half were now present, but still they refused to seat us. (What s the actual policy? The whole party? Half the party? No one can straggle behind from the car?) Elderly hostess, snippy from the start, was now worse. Another member of our party had asked a couple of times to speak with the manager, but the elderly hostess refused to get a manager, though she herself got snippier and nastier. Because she refused my colleague s request to get a manager, our colleague shouted toward the kitchen asking for a manager, as the elderly hostess refused to get one. She had been unpleasant from the start, but now she was nasty and belligerent. I could scarcely believe the way it unfolded - and then it got worse with the appearance of the manager. The manager came out SCREAMING. No introduction, no how may I help you? No nothing except to get right in our colleague s face, yelling ARE YOU THE ONE YELLING AT ME? My colleague was not given the opportunity to explain she shouted to request a manager because the elderly hostess had refused to get a manager despite being asked at least twice. The manager would not listen to Mrs. Potts concerns, spoke/shouted over her, and summarily instructed her (us) to leave. Rude would be a gross understatement. I am astonished someone with such an extreme lack of interpersonal skills became manager. Before the manager came out, the elderly hostess told us we could not be seated because there were not enough servers. Our party was originally planned to be 12 people, and that many or more were seated while we waited, even after 11 of us were present. I am still puzzled how there were not enough servers to serve us, as were were told several times, yet more people than our number steadily arrived and were seated with no problem. I won t visit this or any other Cracker Barrel again. I understand from Mrs Potts that the GM asked her to take her review down for the sake of her and/or the stores s reputation, but the best advice I can offer is that store employees, particularly managers, be trained in a fashion that values and respects customers (thus ensuring the store s reputation), and that the manager on duty be trained in the art of de-escalation (or basic respect at a minimum). Instead, she poured gasoline on the fire. As we discussed outside the store what to do next, another family came out of the restaurant, spoke to a member of our party, and commented they d noticed the hubbub and found it disgraceful. So while your staff was insulting our party, others were taking notice and very unimpressed as well. The whole thing was shameful, insulting (we were definitely made to feel unwelcome), and resulted in all of us moving to another restaurant in The Woodlands, where we were served a stellar meal by polite, professional staff. Much appreciation to LA MADELEINE AT MARKET STREET! Great food, great service; friendly, professional staff! ¡Gracias especialmente a la jefa, Jackie Diaz, y nuestro camarera, Ángela! For Cracker Barrel on League Line Rd in Conroe? Zero stars. Negative five. ¡Menos estrellas!

Truley one of the worst service I have ever received at a restaurant. The staff here is racist and will purposely take longer to seat you and make you feel uncomfortable enough to leave. They will make poc wait longer then their white counterparts. The manager is rude and unprofessional. It took an hour of waiting in their tiny little giftshop at 7am with an open dining room before we decided to leave.

Manda made our meal perfect, she had a large table she was waiting on plus our table and another. She didn t skip a beat, she was on top of everything and was so sweet. She s definitely an asset to Cracker Barrel. I had the Friday special - fried whitefish, it was delicious, the tartar sauce too. Great atmosphere, good food & a wonderful smiling waitress!

Took 20+ minutes to take a to go order. Told will be 20 minutes, but 45 minutes later Im still waiting. Got tired of standing so sat in chair of which they moved me to some obscure corner where I waited 15 more minutes till food came. Then there payment software asking for a tip and recommendation. Got home and my hamburger steak was a meat patty without brown gravy or sauteed onions.

Our first time in this restaurant. We have family members that always suggested us this place, but we never had the time, until now. The food is delicious and the pricing us very affordable. Service is quick and we had good servers. The only downside is that at peak hours this place will be packed and wait time is 30 minutes. So plan ahead and dont come hungry. At least the shop keeps you busy long enough.

This was my first time going to a cracker barrel, but I was left so impressed by everything! We had grilled chicken, fried chicken, fried okra, dumplins, and the salad. The main dishes were delicious but didnt blow us away, however the sides and the biscuits are to die for. The softest and most mind-blowing biscuits that Ive ever had. The service was amazing to top it all off. Thoroughly recommend!

Conroe location is subpar at best. This used to be a solid 4.5 star restaurant. Not anymore. Food quality is down, last meal was cold and rubbery. Sad to be honest. Lots of staff just standing around, while folks were kept waiting for one poor girl who was trying. No support from management. Wont be returning

The fried (chicken pieces and chicken strips), required help, too grease and dry. The grilled fish was excellent (trout). The restaurant was a bit dirty and the men s bathroom needed attention. I had better experience at this restaurant chain, first time at this location. Wheelchair accessibility: I enjoy this restaurant chain, because the food is overall decent and the accessibility to move around with a wheelchair (my son is permanently disabled and bound to a wheelchair)

We were there for breakfast. We both ordered eggs with country ham. I dont recall being told there was an up-charge for ham. Then the ham was too salty to eat. My plate had a hair on it. I flagged someone and told them I had a foreign object in my food. She said she would get my server, which she did but it seems anyone would have been concerned and acted on it instead of passing it off to someone else. When my server came, I showed her and her response was, how were your eggs cooked? I said its not about how the eggs are cooked its that there is a hair on my plate (not mine). Her intent was to have my breakfast cooked again. No need; Ive lost my appetite. I dont recall her apologizing for it. And, I would assume a food safety issue would call for management involvement. That didnt happen either. She did remove my breakfast from the bill and then removed the ham from the ticket for my dining partner. (That ham was ridiculously salty!) Very disappointing morning at Cracker Barrel. Not the norm. Parking: Although, only one was left when arrived, the store has a good number of handicap spaces available. I also applaud you for having a zero entry from the H/C parking to the sidewalk. So often, there is a curb and then a ramp. This smooth transition is great. Wheelchair accessibility: My mom uses a rollator - not a wheelchair- but it is for someone with mobility issues. The hostess started to take us to a table toward the windows when there was a table available immediately inside the dining room. The hostesses need to be taught that someone with mobility issues does not always want to go far into the dining room. Pay attention to your customer needs and ask for preferences.

Try the apple butter. Parking: I vanlife, and travel for work. This cracker barrel is very accommodating for that. Nice shaded parking spots. Garbage cans. And safe feeling. Ill go to sleep with my windows and doors open, in an empty parking lot, and wake up with rvs and horse trailers the next morning. With the aroma of bacon and biscuits in the air. Something about the parking lot just puts a smile on my face. Thank you, to the Cracker barrel at this location.
