This is one of the best comic stores I ve been to! They have a great collection of back issues as well as newly released comics. They also have a huge funko pop collection and other antique toys. The woman who works there full time is super knowledgeable and helpful, she was great!

This store is a lot of fun. Admittedly, I ve gone as an observer more than a consumer. In my limited knowledge, it s my opinion that the comic selection is vast, the prices seem aligned to what I ve known in other locations, and the nostalgic toys offer so much to take in and appreciate.

Some of the rarest memorabilia Ive ever seen! Some of the prices are pretty high, seemingly because the dude just wanted to show off his collection while still technically having them for sale, but not a take away, most things are relatively reasonably priced.

I absolutely adore this store, it s my go to for all my comic needs, as well as the other two locations. The staff is amazing, and they have a great selection of comics. My boyfriend and I visit all three locations as often as we can. You should definitely stop by, you won t be disappointed.

Exceptional comic book and collectible store! Very friendly, knowledgeable staff ready to make sure you have a great shopping experience. They have a constantly changing stock - on my visit they were almost sold out of Magic cards - but they will get you whatever you want or need. The owner of this place has an amazing collection of merchandise but even the outstanding material items for sale in this shop cannot even come close to making up for the deception that is used to swindle a person that goes here to sell collectibles. I was told that the shop uses ebay prices of items recently sold online on the ebay marketplace to determine what they will offer for merchandise. I drove 5 hours with a car load of things Ive collected my entire life to let this shop purchase all of it to add to their inventory. Hundreds of magic the gathering cards, over 1100 hot wheels still in original packaging including some treasure hunts multiple complete special edition sets and the like.. no base mundane hot wheels. Also at least 50 different nascar collectibles from Earnhardt Sr. and Jr. All also new in original packaging. Several rare collectible transformers, dozens of other unopened nascar collectibles abd I spent nearly 12 hours on ebay pricing nearly everything I took here. I arrived and we spent 3 days down there fishing because the guy couldnt meet me until 3 days after we arrived despite being told to show up 3 days earlier. By the time I get to see him I have around 100 dollars left to my name and very little fuel left in our vehicle. He didnt even look up a single item online. He asked me what I wanted for all of it... mind you I had just brought 5 or 6 big cardboard boxes full of stuff in his door and I told him I needed 1000 dollars. I pri Ed everything based on the lowest amount that item had sold for over the previous 3 to 4 months on eBay and it added up to well over 4000 dollars. The guys counter offer was 250 dollars! I was stuck down there at this point with my teenage son. When I tried to explain the value of the items I brought him he made every excuse why mine... just mine werent worth as much as the exact same ones I priced online and basically dismissed me very rudely and started blathering away to some guy about the posters all over the walls. Which. Y the way I could t even get him to throw one in on the total ripoff of a trade I was forced to make. This was a collection that i had been building for the good part of 30 years. I needed what it was worth and what I asked for was only 25% of what THE LOWEST RECENT SELLING PRICE was. Unbelievable how absent a conscience is from the owner of this shop. I dont hate much of anything but I hate this place. Worst person Ive ever made the mistake of doing business with.

Was warmly welcomed by a very very nice person when I came in, really felt valued as a customer. She gave me a quick rundown on what was where and was just the nicest person to me. The selection is crazy good everything you might want or need if you re into pop culture. Very well stocked and good prices too. Wish we had this store up in Dallas Galveston is lucky to have a store like this and the people who run it. Thank you so much for a lovely visit and a great shopping experience. Store itself is neat. The older lady that greeted us was very rude and being sarcastic to a 7 year old with Autism because he got a little more than normal hand sanitizer. Probably will not be back. (Update 2-19-22) Gave it another chance, brought the kiddo back. There was a young man there that was super nice. Showed my little man attention and was nice to him and listened to what he had to say. Being a autistic 8 year old he has a lot to say and stems pretty good when talking to someone. This young man was great! We bought a toy and even signed up to have comics pulled for us!! Very much an improvement. Changing my review! Keep that young man!!

This is my favorite comic book store, compared to any of the other shops. They have well organized graded comics to a lot of pops. My favorite things I like are the discount they have on Black Friday or on free comic day , anywhere to fifty to 70 percent off . Plus since I have a list of 15 comics they give me an additional 15 percent off my comic book purchases. Not sure if they deliver but I love them .

Been in here 3 different times and I have been disappointed everything. Either its over priced or not for sale. I get that Galveston is a tourist town but come one. Amazing store and staff! They had many options and plenty of space to search around. The staff was friendly, helpful, and don t stand over you the whole time you re shopping. I needed a specific comic that I couldn t find anywhere, and although they didn t have it in stock in Galveston, they did at their El Lago location. Ive gone twice now, once out of curiosity during a trip to the beach, and once again on another trip as I had always wanted to go back. I mainly go for the RPG supplies, however they have walls and the floor filled with comics, statues, cards, supplies, and everything you can think of or need. The gentlemen who helped us was so nice and knew his store well, and it was awesome that it was easy to see on the way to the beach. My mom and I just HAD to stop and get stuff for my brothers. We as a family very much enjoy this comic book shop. Lone Star Heros is so involved with the community as well. My son who first started to love and enjoy reading comic books at the age of 3 is almost 10 now and cant wait to go and see whats new. My 50 year kid at heart enjoys the collections. I myself enjoy finding some of the lesser known comics that most places wouldnt even carry. We as a family truly enjoy this shop. Lots to choose from and a lot more to collect from here.

a wide variety of comics aside from marvel and DC along with collectables, toys, cards and posters. 10/10 will go again

I could spend hours browsing in here. I never thought I would spend $100 on a book, but by golly I spent that much on one I also had autographed at a signing they hosted. The owners are super nice and I will cherish my Deadpool book until I die. Then my kids can fight over it. Meanwhile, Ive noticed my kids tend to shop here when they buy me a gift.
