Diane got the sliced brisket sandwich and I had a 3 meat plate with sliced brisket from the moist end, ribs and pulled pork. The sides were twice asked potato (potato salad) and corn. The potatoes were very good and a welcomed unusual touch to potato salad. The ribs were decently tender and good. The pulled pork was watery but somewhat tender. Even though we both asked for the moist (marbled) end, the brisket was really tough. We couldnt eat it on either the sandwich or the plate. Very chewy. Brisket is king in Texas BBQ and this came no where near making the grade. Sorry. Not recommended two thumbs-down

They were super friendly and helpful. Allowed us to try a sample of their sides to help decide what we wanted. Very clean inside. The bbq is very good and fresh. Sauce is good with just a bit of kick - but not overpowering. Mac and cheese is clearly homemade and very good. Didnt care for the fries, but that was me and not a strike against them. Definitely worth checking out and supporting a small business. We will be back.

The food is great! I love the ribs, brisket and brisket nachos. However, their pork rinds are the best I have ever eaten and great for Keto diets. Also, staff was very friendly and Emily is a great an attentive. Dietary restrictions: Fried Pork rinds are the best I have eaten Great snack for those doing a keto diet.

Ordered for delivery through Uber Eats...DEFINITELY ADVISE AGAINST THAT! Baked potato came cold and hard..no salt and horrible. Sausage was decent. Bread pudding came and had no sauce. It was dry and needed vanilla. I hope an in-person visit is better. Working through credit card to get rebate because Uber Eats does not want to help. Really disappointing..

Rob made our 1st visit wonderful. He catered to my kids, bringing them coloring books and crayons. He gave them drinks after I said they d only drink water, and of course my kid made me a liar. He was so sweet to my kids and I will praise anyone/place that makes eating out with my girls not seem like a burden on society. Thank you Mr. Rob, my kids loved you! I got Pit Stop Fries with pulled pork, and my kids had chicken tenders with Mac n cheese. Both were delicious. I ll come back the next time I m on the island. 4 stars because the table was pretty sticky. Unable to comment on RR because we didn t use them. Haven t been here in two years but the food was nothing to write home about. Decent BBQ, not bad but nothing to go out of your way for. The thing that stuck with me were the portion sizes. They are normal portions but when you go to a bbq place you expect large portions for your 20$ plate not the case here.

I went here despite the negative reviews and I must say the negative reviews were definitely true. Today, my wife and I went here for lunch. 1) The lean brisket looked old, rubbery and dry. It appeared to look reheated. 2) The potatoes tasted precooked and disgusting, 3) The okra tasted different then what was expected, 4) The fatty brisket and sausage tasted like oven cooked meats, 5) The Caucasian female waitress with many tattoos was playing with her nose, wiping her lips here hands, and texting on her phone the entire time while taking our order. The food was absolutely disgusting! Please, if you value your money and taste buds, dont eat here. See the attached pics. We were unable to continue eating after receiving our food. We left 99% on the table and left this place. I will contact the Galveston Health Department in reference to this slop of messy, wet mix of various leftovers. Yuck

Not Worth your money and false advertisement Me and hubby used to love their pulled pork fries. On their online app , it shows picture of a loaded plate with POTATO WEDGES mind you they are already 12.99$ they raised their prices but decided it s okay to use skinny french fries, less pork & cheese . like seriously i wish i had took a picture it was very little amount. We stopped by on our way home and were greeted by three young-ish workers who handed us a menu, told us to sit anywhere, and come back up to the counter to place our order. The workers hung out and were either laughing and talking to each other, the cooks or were on their phones. The place was empty except for another couple, and we sat and waited for our food. A few other people came in and were told the same thing, and they got their food before we did. We ordered the stuffed baked potatoes (how hard is that?) with chopped beef. The food was definitely NOT what we were used to (used to get BBQ at Red River in League City). I got gristle and fat in mine. At least the potatoes were actually done (but small). I woke up at 3 AM with the worst reflux I ve ever had. We can scratch this off our list!!! Learned the hard way.

Ordered for take out at lunch. I had the sliced brisket sandwich and fried okra. I asked for moist on the brisket and it was delicious. Lots of meat on there. I had spicy BBQ sauce and pickles. The okra that I ate on the way home was crispy and cooked perfectly like I like it. But after the 20 minute drive home they softened up some so thats on me I should have just eaten at the restaurant. I ordered at the counter and Ill bet it wasnt but 5 minutes before the nice lady brought it out to me nicely packaged up.

My wife and daughter and mother in law stopped in this evening, 3/10/24. My wife ordered fish that ended up not being done. They were out of pulled pork. A group of younger guys walked in and left because of the rude staff and them being out of potatoes and pulled pork. It s probably a good thing that I wasn t with them, and from the sounds of it I m glad that I wasn t. It s too bad there isn t a Soulman s barbecue in Galveston. It s always good at every location.

Ive followed pit stop since they first popped up in Lamarque on 45 years back. Then Galveston had a pit stop too ! Soo excited great food atmosphere customer service every thing perfect. Even had inlaws wedding catered by them ! However the last 3 times Ive bought bbq brisket from you it has been dried out almost beef jerky , the flavor and smoke has been off from previous years of eating there. Please fix this! We order food from here quite often and know how the food taste, but tonight, something is not right! The beans taste like someone walked over to Walmart and bought a can of beans, and the potato salad looks like a watery milky swamp with chucks of potatoes. No flavor what so ever! Neither one has the consistency and taste of how the owner was making the food before. When the consistency is not maintained, you will lose customers, and we order from here quite often.

It is in a convenient place along the seawall. Fairly standard bbq place, like Papas but with a Cajun flare. You order your food at the counter. I had brisket and sausage, nice bbq along with loaded baked potato, which was chopped baked potato with cheese and other stuff. I liked it. The fries were seasoned battered. My wife had the chopped brisket sandwich. She enjoyed it. Good place to go if you have a hankering for bbq. They have outside seating as well as inside.

***Update: 9/10/23 The Bones are back on the menu! They are definitely cut differently than the old menu item but still very good. Glad to see them back. Do not pass up the BONES. Best bbq sandwich I ve had hands down. The monster is an amazing combination of bbq and burger. The flavors completed so well. The queso that came with the fries was better than any queso I ve had yet. Amazing food. Fast. And we don t have to worry about a waitress coming around asking if we need refills. We were happy to find this BBQ restaurant open past 8pm on a Sunday, and we really enjoyed our meals here! The prices are great and portions are plentiful. The food was fantastic. We ordered two of the 2 meat platters, one with sausage and brisket, and one with brisket and chicken. There are a lot of choices for sides, which is awesome. I had the mac and cheese and green beans. My boyfriend had the giant loaded baked potato, which he said was amazing. The staff were great to interact with and our food was out pretty quickly. We d definitely come back here again!

We were disappointed. Air conditioner didnt work and it was hot inside. But when we looked up and saw how dirty it was maybe it was for the better it was off. The food was bad. We had a 4 meat plate and everything was so greasy! Brisket was thin with a big layer of fat, pork was bad, side salad was poor (tiny pieces of tomato, bread, a little bit of cheese and some greens). I expected just regular sliced vegetables not this. Well not recommend this place.

I am still sitting at the table while I m typing this. I got the 2 meat plate with sausage and chicken, twice baked potato and baked beans. The sausage was really good, but the only edible pieces of the 1/2 chicken was the wing and leg. The inside of the breast uncooked areas and what was cooked was tasteless and dry. The potato s we re old and attested like they were scrapped off the bottom of pan. The cheese on them tasted burnt. The beans? Just a can of store bought bbq beans. I am a born Texan and very disappointed. For $25 I got a 1/4 pound of sausage, a half cup of beans and some pickles. And no bread of any kind. Not sure if there will be a 2nd chance.

This place was sketchy from the moment we walked in. Its a BBQ place but you cant smell the bbq cooking, plus good BBQ has a line of people waiting to get food as with all good cooking. If I had the option to give this establishment negative reviews I would. As we are on vacation and dining in just across from the beach, I expected the prices to be a bit more than usually expected elsewhere. This was not the case. What you are not told or is also not listed anywhere on the menu, you pay an addition fee for your side when ordering a sandwhich. Its to my understanding that a sandwhich usually comes with a side unless listed otherwise, especially for the ripe price of $13.99. An 11.99 sandwhich plus fries ended up being just a bit less than $20 for just one meal. I could understand this kind of pricing had the food been fresher, less bland,, and the whole ticket hadnt ended up over $80 after tipping for just 4 people grabbing a simple lunch. Not exactly fullfilling the expectations that comes to mind for a Texas BBQ advertised establishment. The tables were sticky, wobbly, and overall just not a very comfortable dining environment. 10/10 would not recommend.

We walked here as it was close to our condo and we had been driving all day. The pictures from online looked promising yet upon entering, our hopes got let down, more and more. First of all, when ordering, they do not let you know that fries are extra (most places include a side with their sandwiches), you serve yourself basically (wasnt as surprised at that as it IS a BBQ place), yet when the food came out, the buns were hard and stale, the sides of fries were small (definitely not worth the extra $3 charge for them) and the meat on the sandwiches was decent but overall the meal was not worth $77. We had 3 sandwiches (2 side of fries, 1 side of okra and 1 side of Mac and cheese), 1 baked potato, and 4 drinks. For 4 meals that comes to $19.25 each, which wouldnt have been bad if it was worth it. The ceiling tiles are extremely water damaged and look almost moldy in places and like theyre ready to fall on you, the tables were sticky and extremely wobbly. Just overall not a great Texas BBQ experience to say the least.

As a Texan, I feel this food does NOT reflect GOOD Texas bbq. I got a chopped brisket plate with Mac n Cheese and twice baked potato casserole.. the sides were good but the meat was a disgrace. It was like the Lloyds bbq in the red bowl that you get at the grocery store but worse. I asked for the lean side of the brisket yet it was fatty and slimy. My husbands sliced brisket looked like it was mechanically made. When I m back in Galveston, I definitely will not try this place again.

The food was wonderful. I had the brisket nachos, and they were definitely worth it. The bread pudding was also delicious. Ordering online was easy, and the pick-up time was only 15 minutes. The reason for 4 stars is because of the pricing structure. Having to order each item individually is tedious, extra expensive, and caused me to forget normal items, like fries. *Sandwich ($12) + Fries($4) + Fountain Drink($3) = $19 for one person*

Update: sliced brisket was so dry that it was inedible. I asked for extra sauce and ranch and received neither. We won t return. We contacted them and weren t offered anything from their mess up. Mango margarita was still great but as far as food goes, find anywhere else. Also fries are different than advertised. First review: My daughter s favorite food is barbecue. We are really wary about trying new places because we have our favorite place back home and most others don t come close to being as good. The mango margarita was amazing for me. My daughter got a sliced brisket kids meal with corn. She didn t even eat half so she had a whole meal left for later. The fries were amazing.
