It displays a history of Frisco since its early birthday in 1902. Several artifacts of glory day of cotton industry, then models of early Ford automobiles, a gas station of the old time - Mobilgas. A short movie of train operation. Early printing machine with trays of letters to hand-arrange a master layout for printed pappers later with the old printing machine, etc. It is good to know how much human has progressed!!!!!!

Wonderful! Such a cute museum. Its small but mighty. Lots of history, including authentic artifacts from years past and various cultures that tell the story of the city. The environment is clean and laid out very nicely. There is an elevator to get to the 2nd story. They also appear to host weddings, which I thought was a cute idea. Youll learn a lot and come to appreciate the history. Which is exactly what a museum should do. Be sure to also keep your ears open. Theres some surprising sounds as well. Dont forget to walk around outside.

First time visiting Frisco Texas and we can say we had a great time at the Frisco Heritage Museum. There s so much to learn abput the citys rich history and how it all began. This is worthy of invaluable history about the Frisco city, the rail road, the first printing press in this city, the cotton plantation film at the theater upstairs and so much more.

The museum grounds are very well kept and pintoresk. I love how they kept a little ghost town of old houses and even a replica of the calaboose where they used to lock up the rowdy drunks until they sobered up. They also have a small exhibit in the museum building where you can see vintage artifacts like wagons, trains, furniture, and an easy to follow overview of the history of Frisco, among many other interesting things. I also really enjoyed the story of a Jewish couple who escaped Germany during the war and were welcomed and embraced by the community.

I am happy to know that our town has this charming museum. I appreciate the foresight of the originators in this endeavor. The museum is small but big on information and attractively laid out. We were met with active quilters, weavers and a printer inside, which were nice touches. Great especially for kids to see how things were done when. The outdoor part of the museum is interesting, too, but the individual buildings may not always be open to visitors. Coming here was a great experience. For both the adults and children in our group, there was fun and knowledge to be had. If you come with smartphone toting, attention deficit kids your gonna have an issue here. However, if you got a kid(s) that loves to explore and learn this place is for you. Trains are the main focus here. Although the history stems outwards from there, thats what youll see the most of. Pictures and some light machinery inside, while full size examples have their place out front and in the railyard out back. Our guide was polite and informative and the building was very clean and professional. Id recommend a trip here to anyone.

Regarding the introduction to the history of Frisco, the exhibition hall on the first floor looks like an exhibition of props from a Western movie: bank safes, old machinery, small town style, etc. The section on the second floor that introduces farm life (mainly manual separation of milk) is also quite interesting. It is a good choice to bring children to learn and experience.
