The food is still very good, however, a few things have been lost with the removal of tableside service and other obvious corporate cost cutting measures. Frisco sauce now in essentially a packet and scanning a ticket each time you want to refill your own fountain drink to name a few.

Ok, if you are old like me and remember the steak n shake commercial that made fun of work a raunts well, Steak N Shake has become a work a raunt. Only kiosks to place your order, bus your own table, get your own drinks and pick up your food when called. This location you have to scan a bar code to unlock soda machine. Food was good, milkshakes are good, just self serve now.

Ordered with a delivery service. It was on time. And the food was warm. Had the Frisco Melt. Definitely not something to have if you are looking for a light meal. It was deliciously wrapped in grease and I did not care at all. I will say that the food seemed squished the fries were okay but maybe something happened in transport? I also remember the sandwich itself a bit bigger than I remember. Perhaps something changed with the menu? Those are the reasons they got three stars this time around.

I did not know that steak n shake has fallen so far. If I am from out of town and typically dont get to enjoy steak n shake. The last closest one that was used to be near me was in New York City. It has been a long time since I had some so I wanted to stop in while I was in the area on travel. This location not only had a terrible smell when I walked on the front door, but I could tell that its not been cleaned for a while. The fact that you got rid of the cashiers to save money and just hire kitchen staff only goes to show me that you were in dire straits. The fries were undercooked. The burger was decent, however it was not the best bun in the world as it was soaked in that garlic sauce. The fact also that you have to scan a QR code for a soda is going to show how much Penny pinching is going on at this location. I should have known as soon as I pulled up and didnt see anybody in the dining room that I was in for a world of heart. My milkshake also was not fully blended and had full ice cream at the bottom. This was not the steak n shake that I remember the past, I will have to just sit there and live with my memories. Parking: They have their own parking lot located in the same location. Kid-friendliness: Its steak n shake. You can get a hat and theres a claw machine for kids to grab a toy. Wheelchair accessibility: Wheelchair accessible ramp available?

Alas Steak n Shake is back off my burger rotation. The burger I got tonight had been flattened so much Im surprised I didnt see one of the staff in the parking lot driving over it. And its a mystery to me what they are doing with the fries, do they cook them and put them in the freezer for 5 minutes before they serve them to you? Its not asking too much to get food that is hot and not squashed I think. Update: Since I wrote this Steak n Shakes food has had a bit of a make over. Burgers now come nicely packaged and are much better prepared. However, on my last visit, the fries were stone cold again. They must have been sitting a long time to reach that state.

Overall fine, not bad not great. The drive thru line went by pretty fast. Kids soda is very small (think 1990s kiddie size). Hot dog was grilled nicely but they forgot to add ketchup on the hot dog. I was surprised to hear that they wont mix and match shake flavors...If all shakes are the same price it doesnt make sense to deny someone from getting half mint and half cookie dough shake.

I go through the drive through, when the girl told me over $20 for 1 meal, I asked her what did I order. She stated the garlic meal however she failed to mention there was an additional meal on the order and dipping sauce I didn t order. She gave my husband the receipt I noticed the other meal and sauces. When she came back to the window she look at me with disgust when I told her other stuff was on it outside of what I wanted. I had not been to a Steak and Shake location in many years. There are hardly any around anymore. There was no line in the drive thru when I pulled in. I placed my order and after around 5 minutes, my order was delivered to me. I ordered the single steak burger with fries combo and substituted my drink for their Red Velvet Oreo Cookie shake. The service was friendly. The store from the outside looked nice. When I got home to eat the food, I noticed that the steak burger was smaller than what I recalled it to be in the past. The burger was good...the shoestring fries were ok...the container could have had more fries in it..the fries I received were mainly short and cut off. The red velvet Oreo Cookie shake was delicious. I have always known their shakes to be good. I may go to visit the location again.

Dont waste your time and money. Everything was self service. Im surprised they didnt want us to cook the food. No interaction with humans at all. Their food is kinda smaller than preferred but tastes much better than McD, the Milk-shakes are BIG, w many flavors. Their trashcan is too small, they should expand the hole to fit the size of the trash can. I decided to stop on my way home. I ordered a large cheese hamburger combo. There were about 2 cars ahead of me, but there was a significant wait after placing my order. This was fine as I assumed one of the vehicles may have had a large order. However, I was disappointed that my fries were not fresh or hot. This was the worst Steak n Shake experience I have ever had. The drink machine is powered by a QR code that doesnt even work. My food and my friends both came out cold and overcooked, and the fries are the thinnest Ive ever had from here. A quarter of a McDonalds fry is the best I can explain the thickness. This was actually horrific, and I will never come back here. Also, the restrooms were nasty, and the smell coming from both of them spread throughout the rest of the restaurant.

Absolutely incredible my night was made an and the wonderful steak and shake was compared to in and out. Is it better? Is it worse? Is it the same? Is it quite similar in quality? This just in: it is indeed better. What a wonderful result. I am now driving home and the only ecstasy I have ever felt that can possibly compare to this moment is when I first beheld my very first daughter born. And what a glorious day! I began my start up business which has now blossomed into a multi-million dollar company, yet I still find pleasure in the small moments, which may be the most valuable: eating at steak and shake.

The only reason I give service 4 stars is because the lady who took my order and gave me my food in the drive thru was really nice. Sounded like she may have been losing her voice this day and she still had a positive attitude! We waited over 30 minutes in the drive thru (3rd car in line) for our meal. I didn t see anyone with a big order, so I m not sure why it took so long. After leaving I then realized they gave me the wrong burger. Luckily, I liked the burger they did give me so I just stuck with it. Service time wise, this place has never changed no matter how many chances I give it. I won t be back.

The location was literally empty. No customers at all. Empty parking lot. Kind of in a dark area. The lights in the outside were broken just lit up steak and not the rest of the name. While the food was fresh. The fries were very bland and lacking flavor. And the burger looked smaller than it used to be. They need to give this place a little more life because i couldn t even enjoy my meal there felt like I was in a bad neighborhood. WARNING-- NOT FOLLOWING HEALTH/FOOD SAFETY REGULATIONS! DONT EAT HERE! The service was bad enough! My mom and I waited 20 minutes before we even SAW a cook get started on our order! The place was empty too! What made things worse is when the second cook came over, took out a bun, then dropped it on the ground. My mother and I waited for him to throw it away, THEN WE SAW HIM PUT IT ON THE COUNTER, next to the other buns where burgers were being prepared, INTO THE TOASTER, TAKE IT OUT, AND USE IT FOR ONE OF OUR BURGERS! There was a family that came in right after too, meaning their food IS contaminated! IM SO DISGUSTED. Even though the manager immediately refunded us when I asked, she did NOT apologize! No one did! Please dont eat here! Floors are ridden with fecal, urine, and other bacterial matter tracked in by SHOES! Theyve contaminated the toaster, the counter, and other tools theyre using in the kitchen! How does Steak n Shake get away without soap in the bathroom??? Pretty gross that no one is washing their hands with soap

I recently visited this location and this use to be one of my favorite restaurants for a burger and a shake. My burger was good but the patty itself was very thin. I had more vegetables than anything and even though I dined in there was no one in there but myself and my husband. The only thing I would recommend of this location is if music is to be played, please one song at a time instead of two different songs at one time

First off, I was never greeted by a live person. Secondly, my milkshake was only 2/3s to 3/4s full, the rest was whip cream. When I said something to the cook he said it should of been filled at least to the ring at the top of the cup. He said if I filled out the survey thing I would get a free milkshake so go head and do that. Overall for what I paid, I was not impressed at all and probably will never go back

Went to restaurant with family this weekend. Service has changed to kiosk ordering,self food pick up, and self seating style. The food was good and hot. The only issue was very few tables were clean enough to sit at. We found one and wiped it down so our family could sit down. Bathrooms smelled like sewer backup. Some maintenance and cleaning is needed. Overall still had a good experience.

Food is great. This particular location seems to have lost hope. All the tables were dirty even though we were the only ones there and there was a funny smell in the bathroom. I was want this restaurant to succeed so I can eating there, but they need to consider the customer experience.

So you walk in and place your order at a kiosk... No human interaction at all. Then at the end they have the Gall to ask for a tip. The food is OK at best.. Do not recommend.
