I hired Mr. Widner as my attorney recently when I was fighting for custody of my son during a messy divorce. Mr. Widner was affordable and consulted with me countless times throughout the process. His senior paralegal, Mrs. Adams, was phenomenal. She was very responsive and reassuring because she could relate to my situation. I panicked a few times when I didnt get a response as quickly as I wanted but they never took a day off from handling my case. All in all I was granted my divorce and obtained custody of my son. I couldnt be more pleased. Thanks team.

Widner Law took my money and never did anything on the case. Once I paid I had maybe two emails from his Paralegal and then never heard back. This was 2020.

I was desperate to see my daughter again. I came to you for help. I drove 12hrs with Uber & 12hrs with Lyft for 7 days straight & little to no sleep. And I had 2,500 5 star reviews. I did everything I was supposed to I even took Dr. Threats co-parenting classes. I has to pay $35 just to see my kid in a visitation facility as if I were an abusive father but it was only because I told the judge he was wrong for being prejudice. Robert Widner showed up to my 1st hearing LATE & on top of that his suit was covered in animal hair. I paid the $1,500 retainer & after our hearing the other party requested a drug test for me so that required us to return to court for another hearing, which would cost another $1,500, another 7days driving with no sleep... The other party agreed that a drug test was not necessary so we no longer needed to return for another hearing. But because Robert Widener was greedy & NOT kind. All that I needed was the final order to be filed on their behalf. Robert Widner & Ashley were a couple of crooks. I had to go to someone else to get the paperwork done & it only costed $300. If youre a father, DO NOT go to Widner. Robert, you & Ashley are awful people. By the way I get to see my kid more now, not because of you, I did that. Very unprofessional, not worth it.

I hired him for a flat fee and paid upfront. Once he got paid, he went to Aspin in Alaska five times in two months. He never remember anything about the case. In front of the judge he was speechless and he lost EVERY single motion. He lies a lot. He said he filed a motion to reconsider and asked for the trial date. Once I fired him, the new attorney told me he did absolutely nothing other than having fun in Aspin. Worst attorney ever. You think you are saving, but the damages are way more expensive that a real attorney.

Years after I hired the lawyer here, I talked to another lawyer and found out I was given completely wrong explanation from Bob regarding the most important thing for me in my divorce decree. My ex had been abusing me while our marriage and I talked about it but they didnt listen to me. I told I have a police report but they didnt care. In my divorce decree, it says no family violence and they signed it. After divorce, my ex keeps harassing me for years. I may need to hire the lawyer again(of course not here). I regret that I chose this lawyer.

Bob, Im sure is a nice guy in his head, instead of meeting regarding my case, he spent endless hours talking about his daughter, never discussing my case, then he made promises that were never fulfilled. He took 3K from me a single parent and blew smoke up my tail, several phone were made to follow up on why no movement was happening on my case. Then when we went to court regarding this severe parental alienation and abduction issue, The judge advises he never filed a motion, he didnt know any details on the case after he obtained all copies of my case file. I ended up forking over my child to this deadbeat dad because we had nothing to fight with. When I came to pick up my paperwork for an important criminal case that was opened by the deadbeats Dads wife he avoided me, ignored my messages. I became agitated and literally jumped in the shower and came to his office only to sit 2 1/2 hours in the lobby. During my wait, I was wondering what is up with this guy and in comes another family who was advised that he was there as well, he was so angry he was ready to rip his head off, As I overhear the discussion he was having with the front desk, I realized our experiences were very similiar, he was had out if 9k. To make a long story short, HE IS A CON ARTIST, HE IS BANKRUPT AND GETTING READY TO MOVE HIS OFFICE AGAIN , AFTER JUST MOVING, HE CAUSED ME TO LOSE MY SON!!! AND TOOK MY MONEY, HE HAS NO BUSINESS PRACTICING LAW. DO NOT USE HIM PLEASE!! If any of you get a call where he is trying to extort you to take your post down dont do it, because he will follow through on his promises either. Contact the State board and have him answer to them.

I recently had the displeasure of having Bob mishandle my decree modification case. While I was a client of his, he went through 3 paralegals and moved his office to a shared office space. He was very difficult to track down until he wanted his monthly flat fee payment. Then he would disappear again until the next time. At court he was unprepared and frequently did the exact opposite of what he said he was going to do. All hat and no cattle: Bob talks tough but will quickly throw you under the bus and blame you instead of his incompetence. Dont just take my word for it. Read Yelp, read Avvo, and other reviews. I had numerous people contact me and share their frustrations after posting a few reviews. Ignore his paid sock puppet accounts that leave the same sterile reviews. There are plenty of other good attorneys in the Dallas area. Bob is not one of them.

I hired Mr. Robert Widner for my case and I felt so safe with him. The trust was just there as he fought for me as if I were a dear friend even though Im not a friend. My previous lawyer was shysty and convinced me to agree to things that I didnt want to agree to (3 years ago). Mr Widner reversed all past mistakes made with the previous lawyer and got me more than I even asked for.
