Very tasty tenders and sandwiches. Waffle also adds variety to the menu. Shakes and desserts also look tasty, though I havent had them yet. Tried their buffalo tender mac n cheese bowl, and really liked it, so much so that i forgot to take the picture first when i tried it for the 1st time, lol! Update: I ordered the New Nashville Hot chicken sandwich, and gosh, either they messed up the orders because the sandwich was nothing Nashville hot is supposed to be. It was just a sandwich with 2 chicken tenders, no sauce, no heat, absolutely like their normal sandwich! Update 2: Had the beautiful BOGO offer on valentines day. The heart shaped waffles were beautiful n delicious and crispy as well. The chicken (fried or grill) tenders were tasty and every thing paired really well with the maple syrup and cream butter. Update 3: Ordered the cayenne ranch chicken sandwich but was provided just a regular crispy chicken sandwich. Also as the side, I ordered mushroom fries with cayenne ranch dipping. The dipping wasn t provided! Pictures are provided for reference.

Extremely arrogant attitude. I happen to arrive here for the first time and noticed open lights were on and door was open. I entered snd asked for a meal order and the came to me and pointed towards front door to read a sticker saying open at 10:30 am. Instead a better response could hv been given. Lets say sorry sir, we are yet to start kitchen. Instead he showed me door to read a sticker and ignore open lights and door opened. I felt humiliated and i am not going to visit this place ever. Thank you for treating an incoming customer like this.

RUDE MANAGER! We asked if we could replace the chicken tenders because they were very dry, so we asked to replace them for fresher ones, and she said no one else is complaining, why are you complaining? This is very rude and unprofessional, I wish there was less than a one star review, this was our first and most definitely LAST time coming here! I m very disappointed and shocked! Don t waste your time and money on this place, there are much better and professional places than this one. I made sure to tell her to leave a bad review and she literally went okay yeah yeah while her back was turned to us. She came back with a new batch of chicken and threw it on the table, at this point we were absolutely disgusted by her attitude so we said that we didn t want it and she said no! And turned and left but we didn t take it, we left it and left the place! I don t recommend this place, chick-fil-a is better than this junk! DONT WASTE YOUR MONEY!

On Sunday May 27th 2024 we got stuck in the line and couldnt order for 18 min. There is not an exit once your in line. I call the restaurant because they closed the lobby, the gentleman hung up on me when I ask how long will we be in the line. Unprofessional and no reason for the lobby to be closed on Sunday.

I like slim chickens a lot. Their menu variety with tenders, bone in wings, bowls, waffles, as well as desserts and side choices set it apart. Main thing Im not thrilled about at the moment is that their seating area has been closed for remodeling for 4 months. Thats too long. They do have a drive through but the speed of service is slower than dine in in almost all cases.

This is a fairly new restaurant so you would expect them to be on top of things. Unfortunately waiting five minutes to be acknowledged in the lobby before anyone says anything to you and then waiting 20 minutes for a chicken strip wrap when you are the only person in the place is a bit unacceptable. There seem to be about four or five employees working so Im not sure what they were doing but paying attention to the customers standing in the lobby was not one of them. I would suggest better training from management on down. Better luck next time. Two stars. Back to Canes.

Well, its not the best as far as organization. Just got a chicken sandwich, nothing special. The gentleman gave me my drink and receipt, then told me hopefully itll be out soon. Ten minutes later, it did come out, but Im not sure I would classify that as soon. Again, I didnt order anything crazy, just a sandwich with no substitutions. Maybe it was a particularly tough day for them, but it didnt seem busy to me. Hopefully, if I go back, itll be a little better.

Came on 7/20 at night to get two orders. One for the Buffalo wrap meal and one for the classic and we asked for the chicken tenders to be tossed on the sweet and chili sauce. The fries for the wrap werent seasoned AT ALL. The tenders werent tossed in the sweet and chili sauce like we asked and they didnt even give us dipping sauce AT ALL. My fiance and I came across this place after visiting a fowling place close by. The server was so nice and friendly; very informative about the menu. We had the chicken fried chicken and the pork chop. The chicken fried chicken was good, but its texas - you can find a decent chicken fried chicken at quite a few places. The pork chop, however, was so decadent...I would go back just for that! Be warned, the pork chop is huge. You will, most likely, not be able to make a dent. Split it, but DO get it! 10 out of 10!

The chicken honestly had no flavor whatsoever so ever. Its like they didnt use any spice or flavoring at all. It was just bland chicken. Id liken this place is like a poor mans canes chicken and I dont care for canes either, but they at least have flavor. Even my daughter didnt care for her chicken and waffles. Don t waste your money! We ordered a family meal and wished we had gone to Cane s or Layne s. The ranch dressing was the best part of the meal. Tea- We ordered a gallon of sweet tea, but received a gallon of unsweet tea that had a slight raspberry flavor. For this southern, sweet tea loving gal, this was a major first strike. Chicken- Tough and dry Macaroni and cheese- Absolutely awful. Inedible. I tried to add salt and pepper, but that couldn t save it. It had a strange chemical-like aftertaste. We ate maybe 4 bites of the large side. French fries- Soggy Toast- Stale and re-toasted Slim sauce- Ok but nothing to get excited about (Cane s or Layne s sauce is way better)

I visited this restaurant for the first time on Easter Sunday. I got the 4 piece meal which was below average, but what really upset me was that once I finished the chicken tenders, I realized they put the chicken tenders in the styrofoam box soon after taking them out of the fryer so it melted some of the styrofoam. I had a stomach ache that night and the following day because I consumed some of that styrofoam. I ll never visit this place again.

Came at 7pm sat. & it s my first time ! Prices are fair ! Got a Kids meal for $5 (drink, side , toast, & chicken) and reg. Meal $9 (tenders , side , drink , sauce, & toast). Food was fresh and perfect ! Toast buttery, fries warm, chicken lightly battered and thick , & their lemonade is delicious! Will definitely be coming back ! Also saw on receipt I can get a free brownie on my next visit . My go to place from now on ! Oh & also the employees are not just nice and hard working but communicative ! Rare. Wonderfully Delicious I went to Slim Chickens a few days ago and had the chicken and waffles. They were so good that I keep thinking I need to go back and get another order of them. I dont know about the place but I know the food was horrible. I was the only one there and it was 7:30 which would be abnormal at most places. All I got was grease. I ordered a sandwich and fries. The sandwich was hard to chew and had no taste. The fries were nothing but a grease fest.

The ice tea is a must have with whatever entree you order. Come here on Wednesdays for discounted chicken and waffles. Mac N Cheese is okay, not worth the price.

This will be my first bad experience with a Slims Chickens. I went around 7 they were pretty slow so I figured it might be a hit and miss on freshness but this was pretty crabby. The meat was extremely dry. It was suppose to be tossed in Buffalo sauce but it barely had any. They didn t ask what kind of sauce so I ended up with ranch. The fried pickles were extremely dark and tasted like the oil needed to be filtered or changed. Lastly the customer service could use some work and maybe advise the employees to not stand at the window playing on their phones and what looks to be used gloves they were putting back on their hands..

These people are either using farm raised chickens or it s something in the cook. I haven t had any chicken in Texas taste like this. The last time I had chicken like this was back home in indiana on a farm.

The chicken is OK, I like the assortment of sauces available, and the staff is competent, but thats about all the good things I can say about it. The ranch chips are HEAVILY over salted, like almost to the point of putting sandpaper in your mouth. A lot of the sauces have too much salt or too much sugar. The chicken was just mediocre and nothing to write home about, there are much better chicken places in the area. The pickup experience was also on par. Not bad and I liked the idea of the box they had on the counter to keep the food warm. Again, friendly and helpful staff so thats why they get an extra star. Overall just an underwhelming experience.
