NOT SERVICE DOG FRIENDLY! I AM NOT THE ONLY PERSON WHO HAS HAD AN ACCESS ISSUE AT THIS VENUE! THEY ARE REPEAT OFFENDERS!!! Original review: Only thing that is good about this place is the band who plays there sometimes. Had to leave because the owner harassed me as soon as I got there. Absolutely not wheelchair accessible, it s all gravel. Edit: (Please read) 1) Searching me up online and finding out who I am because I reviewed your place of business is moderately creep behavior, but thats ok because I do have social media so I guess I shouldn t be too upset that I am being searched up by individuals from this establishment since my profile is public. 2) Being wheelchair compliant and ADA compliant vs being genuinely wheelchair accessible are two different things. 3) it is absolutely legal to have my service dog off-leash if they are under control. She was under control and you approached us as soon as we were about to purchase food from your venue. A service animal must be under the control of its handler. Under the ADA, service animals must be harnessed, leashed, or tethered, unless the individual s disability prevents using these devices or these devices interfere with the service animal s safe, effective performance of tasks. In that case, the individual must maintain control of the animal through voice, signal, or other effective controls. Ada.gov This is a Federal law, which grants an exception for leash use as stated in the Americans with Disabilities act on a governmental free website free to search and or view at any time. Yet simply you have not. Federal laws ALWAYS supersede state and local laws/ordinances. And additionally, it is your responsibility as a business owner, by law, to ensure proper knowledge about the ADA. The ADA is meant to ensure that people with disabilities can fully participate in all aspects of life. Almost all types of businesses that serve the public, regardless of their size or the age of their buildings, must follow the ADA. If you are a business or a person with a disability, there are many aspects of the ADA that you should be familiar with. The information below is intended to help get you started. Ada.gov I have had previously issues with various Texas city police getting involved in similar situations at various venues with my service dog of 5 years and each time the police officer nicely educates the business on the proper laws. You can get sued and fined and even jail time if you continue to not read and educate yourself about the ADA and service animal laws. Please educate yourself for everyone s safety. Having my dog off leash isn t just to mess with you as a venue. It s to keep me and her safe as she responds to medical episodes that can be very bad if she is not able to properly do her tasks. Also as a reminder the term handicapped is considered offensive and outdated by many people -Adata.org Also also. Yes it is good to have a legally required accessible restroom, but when we separate diverse communities (for example making them use a port-a-potty instead of the other restroom) that is called segregation.

We love the place. They have live music on weekends. The bar serves good beers on tap and in bottles. They also make awesome cocktails. The staff is very courteous. They have few food trucks in the yard that have decent food options. Very good place to have few drinks and some bites. We love the lights and the ambiance. Must go place and its kids friendly.

Good venue, not so good service. Nothing fancy, but a fair selection beers and cocktails - and there are a variety of food trucks to pick from. A decent place to enjoy some time with friends, have some drinks, and relax outdoors. My only gripe is the service model. They dont put drink prices on their menu. This may be common for bars, but that doesnt make it right. And when you ask for a list of prices, its not pleasant to be told off by the bartender for asking a rude question. ??What?? On what planet is it rude to ask a seller the prices for their products???

Was assaulted on the property. Popular guitar player there, Patrick Casey, witnessed his friend Richard Calhoun punch me in the face. John Santiago of the bar was the only one that helped. First Baptist of Frisco would be very disappointed in the owners actions in covering this up. Police were notified, unfortunately no legal could be placed since Patrick plead the 5th of witnessing what happening. Which is why I am leaving this public review after 2 years later.

Family friendly is advertised on their website and elsewhere but it is most definitely not. I wont go into details because previous reviewers have mentioned the same issues. All Ill say is that if you are planning a nice family day out (and have children under 10-12) then dont come here. Also, if youre a paying adult then make sure you follow each one of their extensive list of rules or you will be talked to. The management/ownership needs to get their priorities straight. Frisco is a family-centric area for the most part so if youre going to claim the family-friendly label then please dont treat kids like second class citizens simply because they are kids and want to play in attractions such as a massive sandbox (volleyball court). Bottom line, if you have children and want them to have a good time without being reprimanded then please dont go here.

Not family friendly for smaller kids (under 10). Going down hill. Last few visits owners are less friendly. Seems they don t want kids here. Our last visit a few weeks ago was terrible and this was made very evident. On our second to last visit we started to hear them complaining about kids using the hand washing station / playing in it and running around. Which I am sure can be frustrating. Not sure why they didn t realize ahead of time a giant trough with water and rocks is going to attract kids attention. Suggestion, would be small hand washing sinks closer to the restrooms. All that aside we go in March and they ve put in sand volleyball courts with sand all up and down one side. Again, not sure why it s hard to predict this is going to attract kids. They did semi-try by having a small sand area designated, but with recent rains that was all full of water. This left an area right by the courts as the area that kids were flocking to. There is a small sign that said to not enter the courts or go on the stairs. Could not see at all even within 10 feet. Then the owners took up issue with a lady (I didn t know her) not watching her girls, but they continued to have no problem serving her several drinks. The other issue they were having that night was kids using things like cups to fill up water to take to the sand. This again led to the large troughs being played in and even concerns about sand in them. Again, not sure why it was hard to predict that kids would attempt this, and with those troughs so close that sand was going to get in them. They are allowing kids to play in sand and even with being watched closely hands have to be washed off somewhere. Then, saw them start to be very vocal to several kids. At one point one of the owners thought my son was playing in the sink, and said to my 3 year old that parents weren t watching their kids. Upset, I confronted her, and she tried to say she was speaking to another adult. Furthermore, my friends daughter who is 7 (not the child the owner was worried about filling cups with sand) also told me that one of the owners told her she needed to do something, and that she needed to listen because she owns the place. Adults don t typically speak to children they know know in such a manner. I had to actually ask that they only speak to us the parents until we got our things and left Overall, drinks are somewhat over priced (mentioned in several reviews), food is not great (also mentioned), and after this last experience we are not going back. EDIT: Re Owner Response: there are more sides to all stories. FYI, I watched closely what was going on with the 7 year old girl mentioned. It is mentioned in my review that you all had kids filling cups with sand, but it was really only this one girl. I want to reiterate I also watched to see who her parent was. We didn t know her or her mom (my friends daughter mentioned in my review was not this girl). We figured out who her mom was, and after being frustrated with this girl, you continued to serve her mom a lot of drinks. Multiple customers expressed concern she was over served. My issue was never that situation. The issue was that my child was told, or within (1 foot) of an owner stating children weren t being watched. This was an unprofessional reaction. You all were probably frustrated with the above, but you could have asked them to leave. This impacted at least 3 other families, who had nothing to do with the situation. It is not your job to to watch children. You can ask patrons to leave that don t follow your rules, and you can remain professional. You can seek to remedy things with those that do follow your rules, and might have been negatively impacted by these sort of events. That s the point of this review, thought it important for you to learn at least from other customers vantage points that evening. Unfortunately; your response sounds like a justification towards all customers that might have indirectly been impacted by your unprofessional reactions.

We re not from the area, but have family in Plano and visit Texas frequently. After several failed attempts of trying to visit due to the Rail Yard not being open, we were finally able to, and had a BLAST. This is the go-to spot if you want to relax, have a drink, and enjoy the incredible atmosphere this place brings. During the winter when it s cold, they ll even give you blankets upon request to stay warm. Food was great, and the trucks gave a lot of variety to choose from. We loved it so much we came back a second time with family- only to find it closed again, on a saturday night too So we had to settle for another place to eat, again. The Rail Yard is truly awesome, and if it is open, it is worth every second to check out. However I wish they were more clear on their hours of operation, as it would have saved us a few disappointing drives.

Live music in the heart of old down town Frisco. Good food trucks, picnic tables, fans, and a few games for the kids to enjoy.

Nice venue when the weather is good. Saturday music starts at 7pm. Dog and kid friendly. Bar is nice, friendly ppl, with specials. Food trucks are what Forrest Gump says: you never know what youre gonna to get. Not much keto friendly fare with pizza, ice cream or nachos.

Large outdoor area with picnic tables and trees for shade. They had live music on a Friday night. Bar was ok, not a huge beer selection. We came here for a casual dinner with family (kids too). Mostly disappointed at the food selection. Very carb heavy menu items like fried chicken tenders, fried mozzarella sticks, bags of chips, hot dogs, corn dogs, chips and salsa (no guacamole). They had another food truck with Cajun chicken and shrimp, but not an inspiring menu. No lettuce wraps or healthy menu selections like fruit. I get the feeling the food trucks don t change much-which is a shame. I don t think I would come back, really because the food or the beer selections weren t great.

Good outdoor spot. They have decent beers, and feature Tupps. There are a few food trucks, but not a great variety. Live bands every now and again.

Live music was good, but didnt last long.. Outdoor seating was uncomfortable as there were no heated lamps on a cool night. Not a great environment, kind of trashy. Little kids running around screaming while adults drinking. No food trucks were open, so no food was served this night. Drinks were overpriced and very little alcohol in the Margarita! Not a good dating environment!!! My edit after owner response: I arrived at 9pm and left at 10:15 pm. Band quit by 9:30 pm. Even though they say kids are asked to sit...I never witnessed any of that. I love children, have my own, but these children were not being attended to by anyone!!!!! I recommend Didis Downtown or Eight 11 if you want to be able to hear any conversations with your company/ date!!!

This is a great hidden gem. If you are looking for a fun outdoor venue, check this place out. Not as big or crowded as Truck Yard, it s a nice place for food and drinks, music, and kid-friendly fun too (they even have a couple games the the kiddos). If you get a mixed drink, I would recommend you give the drinks a minute to sit. They mix to account for the ice meting in the Texas heat, and they get better after a minute or two.
