Our neighborhood go-to. We try to eat at the bar if not full. Good drinks, great food, outstanding service. Lots of familiar faces sitting at and working behind the bar. We usually get a small house salad with house dressing and split the cedar plank salmon. On special occasions, I blow it out with a piece of their chocolate cake for dessert. It is some of the best in town. See you there next week!

Went with my best friends on a whim, wasn t expecting the best service i ve encountered in fort worth! As a server myself, she inspires me to perfect the craft of serving! 10000000/10 will be back for her (not to mention the food was phenomenal) Schyuyler, you just scored yourself some new regulars!

My wife and I went for Sunday brunch. My food tasted pretty good, but it was definitely overpriced. My wife s food was subpar- she didn t even finish it, which is highly unusual. Service was mediocre. Even skipped bringing an ordered drink to the table but it showed up on the bill. The place is amazingly noisy, not surprising given the hard surfaces everywhere. This was our first time to what was supposed to be an iconic local experience. We will not return.

This happened a couple of years ago but Im still pretty down about it and I decided it was finally time to leave a review. I was really looking forward to eating there so my mom and I drove all the way to Fort Worth. It was a Sunday afternoon. The sun was shining. The birds were chirping. We were greeted and shown to our table. The spicy chicken sandwich sounded really good but I needed a better description of the jalapeno dressing. I specifically asked if it was mayonnaise or had any mayonnaise in it. They said no, so I dug deeper. What is this sauce? Is it a buffalo sauce or possibly a jalapeno puree? I was assured that it wasnt white and creamy and did not contain mayonnaise or emulsified eggs and oil. The sandwich came out and I could immediately tell that it was loaded with mayonnaise. The server did offer to bring something else but I was so irked by that point so I said its okay, Ill just finish the appetizer. A little bit later, the manager was stopping by everyones table to ask how their food was. I cant remember what his name was, but he looked like Ted Haggard the mega church pastor and opponent of gay marriage who was caught having relations with a male escort, exiled from Colorado for a year and a half, then did celebrity wife swap with Gary Busey, only to be accused of using methamphetamines and behaving inappropriately with young men at a different church in Colorado in 2022. Seems like hes doing better now. Anyway, this manager stopped by to ask how everything was and I very calmly let him know that I was told the sandwich didnt have mayonnaise but it actually did. Instead of apologizing and offering to compensate me he said, Well, it says jalapeno mayonnaise right there on the menu. The menu doesnt say mayonnaise anywhere. It says jalapeno dressing. Im not sure if Im more upset by his rudeness or lack of menu knowledge. Maybe you could hire the actual Ted Haggard. At least he owns up to his mistakes and seems like a pretty good guy.

This was our first time here. We have heard so much about this place, especially the lobster bisque. The parking lot was fairly full. We walked in and were seated right away..our waiter was very nice but kinda slow. The other wait staff looked like they didnt want to be there. We had to wait a little longer than i thought we had to. We were asked what we wanted to drink and i was like, how about a drink menu please? Not one beverage on the regular menu so we had no idea. That was an easy fix, no worries. I ordered a purple haze martini, wife ordered a water. Martini was good. We started with crab stuffed mushrooms...delicious. we got a cup of lobster bisque so my wife could try. She loved it , thought it was great! The bread came along, wasnt impressed. Definitely had better. My wife ordered a salad, i think it was greek or Mediterranean, honestly dont remember but it had shrimp in it. She wasnt impressed with that. She said it was dry, she had to ask for extra side of dressing. I asked her if they didnt put enough and she said it tastes like they didnt put any at all. I dont know, i didnt try it, im just quoting her. Even after the dressing she said it was ok at best, more like a house salad. She said just because you add a few olives and a little bit of feta doesnt make it a greek or med salad, no cucumbers. Anyway...i ordered blackened redfish. The fish was delicious. The veggies that came with them were just veggies, nothing special. They were grilled or roasted but just barely and they werent even hot, almost cold. The corncob tasted plastic, i only took one or two bites. The server, like i said was very nice but we had to wait on him alot. All in all, this experience was ok. I know this is a Fort Worth staple, been here a long time and it has a good reputation but we werent real impressed. I know every location has off days and i hope that was the case here but i dont think we are going to rush to come back. It wasnt a horrible experience it just didnt wow us like we expected to be wowed.

My parents are from south Louisiana and this is exactly the kind of hospitality and kindness that makes Fort Worth feel like home. We love Lucile s!

My first time there, Sunday lunch. On-site free parking, good location, excellent food. Medium to high prices, my best guess is about $30 per person on the low end. I think you could about double that on the high end. Not crowded and not hurried. Friendly wait staff. Range of food, blackened redfish, Reuben sandwich, lobster, chicken fried sirloin. Tasty desserts-- key lime pie, peach cobbler, cake. Drinks. Cheerful atmosphere.

The food was pretty good. But just a little too pricey for the quality And it took quite a while to get served but the place was packed with people steady rolling in. Have the chicken fried steak with eggs. It was tasty But I hate when the breading doesnt stick to the steak. But still had good flavor. The orange juice was freshly squeezed but not sweet. I was with a small party of four and the shrimp and grits as well as the seafood pasta dish were devoured and smelled amazing I would definitely go back to see what else they offer. I waitress however was not that great took her forever to come back with drinks she brought bread plates no bread it took her four times to get the billing correct and I know prepping the food isnt on her but we got there a little after 11:00 and didnt leave till 12:45. Really good food will be back maybe during the week and not the weekend.

Luckily they have a good manager but if you get decent service you shouldnt have to see the manager. We arrived hopeful and was greeted by an excited waiter. He seemed really eager so we felt good. After seating us he ran to a cpl other tables. And a different waitress brought our water. I wish she was our waitress. So the waiter eventually returned and took our drink order. Then once again ran off. So he only had 3 tables, one of which finished while we were there so why he was hustling and yet doing nothing no one knows. Each time this man runs away this is 10mins. He eventually returns with the wrong drink order. Long story summary he says he looses the sheet of paper he wrote our order on an has to take it again. He had a note pad. Then he announced that there were no more burgers this too was incorrect. I asked for a manger and asked what happened to the bisque? He says I can put that in now....this guy is not suited to be a waiter. He could t remember our order and apparently the location of our table. Thank goodness the manager saw this guys follies and intervened. So to the tall middle aged blonde waiter lets never meet again.

Wonderfully thought-out menu with delicious, memorable and meticulously prepared, creative items some of which are classics for years. Service, friendliness and attentiveness by the wait staff is the best anywhere, comparable to any service I ve had in restaurants in Dallas, Houston, Chicago, Seattle or LA. What an unpleasant experience for my fathers day dinner. I saw online how many good reviews this place had and thought Id try this local spot instead of some chain like how I normally do and sadly I was disappointed. The service was NOT good. My family of 3 was seated first before 3 other parties and were served last of them all. We did not take long at all to order either because we had already looked at the menu before going in. The food was very bland and little to no flavor. Definitely needed salt. Lobster bites are NOT worth it, mostly bread instead of actual meat and very little portion too for it being $16. Our wait time to receive our food was over an hour. During this wait we witnessed other tables being served incorrect food and drinks. There is also bread and butter that most restaurants give out at the first few minutes of being seated and that wasnt given to us until 5 or 10 minutes before our actual meals were served. Over served on fountain drinks for whatever reason, the table we were in was super wobbly and falling apart. Just a horrible experience overall. Nothing worst than paying almost $100 for bad food and service.

Such a major disappointment. Two of us left hungry and Im nearly $240 lighter. We had a reservation for our triplets 19th bday lunch. Called ahead to say we were running about 5 minutes late due to weather, but, actually arrived on time. Two other 6-tops were seated, but had no food yet. We were told our table was being cleared but we were squeezed into the smallest 6-top table of the three and were all fairly uncomfortable. I ordered fried green tomatoes and a Bloody Mary with a little spice, highlighted as an award winner. They arrived quickly, but the Bloody Mary was nearly undrinkable. It didnt even taste like tomato juice. It was garnished with stringy, inedible celery and 2 regular olives - nothing inventive or special. Worse, it was made with what tasted like watered down Tabasco on ice. The appetizer included 5 tomato slices cooked nicely with a flavorful dipping sauce. Also delivered were 2 clam chowders, which were super creamy and tasty...no sandy crunch in any bite. This beginning, sans the seating snafu and terrible Bloody Mary, made me excited, but, sadly a great meal wasnt to be forthcoming. The Reuben worked and the house made potato chips were quite good. The Lobster Roll was okay, but, insanely small and left triplet number 2 hungry. Cedar Plank Salmon was slightly overcooked, rice was far too chewy. Lobster Ciopinno was more of a stew with rice vs a layered, umami broth, but was filled with seafood as promised and an odd chunk of lobster vs the described 1/2 lobster tail. The bay scallops were teeny and chewy and the dish overall lacked flavor. The Shrimp and Grits arrived with the vein still on 1.5 shrimp. The grilled shrimp were over cooked and still had shell fragments. My Greek Shrimp Salad was anything but Greek and was filled with non-deveined chilled shrimp, also with shell fragments, atop wilted lettuce that was drowned in a super oily dressing. I had to hunt for the feta crumbles. No kalamatas, no pepperoncinis, no bell peppers and too many red onions that overpowered the salad. Our server offered to get me another but, I wanted to eat with my family. The manager brought out some additional shrimp that he had deveined, explaining they dont devein the salad shrimp. Purge them then, no one wants to eat that vein. My mom was pulling shrimp shell out of her mouth at that time and asked if they normally deveined and shelled the Shrimp and Grits and showed him her dirty shrimp, to which he replied hed inform the kitchen of the issue so the next diners wouldnt receive dirty shrimp. Odd. She was displeased and said so to our server, who showed up shortly with some additional grilled shrimp that my hungry son ate. I feel like they tried but it was all after the fact. The food shouldve been cooked and plated beautifully the first time. As our server picked up my full salad plate, she said nothing and I asked for the check. I spent far more than I shouldve for food that fell short, barely approaching mediocre, and that is on me. I regret disappointing my kids at their celebratory lunch.

I dont know if we caught this place on an off night, or what, but we were seriously disappointed in pretty much everything this evening. To begin, we were sat quickly and had our drink and food orders taken in a timely manner. My husband ordered the lobster roll, and it DID NOT look like any of the rolls pictured in the reviews here. I literally counted SIX pieces of meat and 90% of the roll was sliced lettuce. It wasnt even on a proper bun like the ones pictured here. Worlds best lobster roll? More like worlds smallest. For $20, it should have taken more than 4 bites - yes, I am being LITERAL - to finish. Very poor. I ordered the spicy chicken sandwich which tasted good but was very sloppily put together - there was sauce all over the top of my bun so it was extremely messy and quite soggy on about 1/3 of the bun. I ordered sweet potato fries, and they were not seasoned whatsoever. The chips were good, but also lacked salt. On top of this, we both drank our drinks are were not offered a refill one time. So, we sat with mediocre (at best) food, with nothing to drink, until we finally were able to get our servers attention again for the check. The restaurant is extremely loud which wouldnt bother me if literally everything else wasnt terrible on top of that. Like I said, the reviews here are great so I dont know what went wrong here, but we will not be back. This was the worst dining experience Ive had in Fort Worth for like, at least the past two years. I cant even think of an experience that has come near how poor this one was. We were both joking that we shouldve just gone to McDonalds - wouldnt have left feeling like we threw $60 in the trash.

This was my first time to Luciles. I went with 2 friends for lunch at 11a when they opened. Im odd because I dont like seafood, so I got the grilled chicken and angel hair pasta and it was DELICIOUS (but would love to have had some capers)! My girlfriends had the friend green tomatoes and Luciles famous lobster roll (they had been here before) and said it was also delicious! We shared the chocolate cake and vanilla ice cream - Im not a chocolate cake person but this cake was awesome and the ice cream made it perfect! Will definitely be back!!!

Many times we have driven by and seen the parking lot full. So we decided that we should give it a try. We made a reservation and were seated on time. We sat in the far back in a corner by a service door. RJ took our drink order and food order. We were given only breakfast menu. We were unaware that full menu was available. Then he seemed to just be too busy to even refill coffee. It took 3 times to get his attention to do that. Our food arrived and was very tasty. Although for my taste had too much pepper in everything. RJ did refill my coffee at that time. We were never asked about out meals or if we needed anything. The next time RJ was to the table was to take dishes and then return with the check. He was faster at cashing us out than any other time. For our first experience it was not the best. Customer service terrible.

A quaint little cafe that they call a bistro. Awesome service, and grest food always brings you back. Ample seating space, but a loud atmosphere from everyone talking. Just not a quiet place to have a peaceful lunch to reset before going back to work. Fried Green Tomatoes are a great appetizer, Spicy Chicken Sandwich, and Burgers are great. But the Chicken Fried Steak is out of this world! Noce thick cut sirloin, full of flaver, and so tender. But the food is worth the trip. Best Chicken Fried Steak Ive had in the Fort Worth Area.

LOVED IT!!! We will recommend to all our family and friends!!!! This was our first time here. We took our kids on their first anniversary and wanted to take them somewhere special and authentic to Fort Worth. The atmosphere was very warm and cozy but also cheerful with all the big beautiful windows, very inviting, it has the vibe that you are near the ocean. Beautiful outside patio. The staff was very welcoming and attentive as you walk in. First they put lots of soft freshly baked rolls with creamy butter on the table, she brought out more later. I m a bread person and I loved them. Very attentive waitress. There were seven of us and everyone loved their food. I had the Lobster Roll and still can t stop thinking about it. Lots of tender, flavorful and juicy chunks of lobster, so fresh like it had just been caught from the ocean. And the roll that it was inside was so soft just baked from the oven. Delicious sauce! I had the French fries and tasted homemade and crispy. My husband had the pizza and loved it, he had the personal size and you could share it with someone. I had a slice and it was delicious! Fresh from the brick fire oven. Two others had a hamburger and it tasted like it was cooked on a smoker, very flavorful and juicy. A nice big size. They both loved it. And I had a bite and would love to have one when we come back. My daughter in law had the chicken pasta and asked for Alfredo sauce to be put on there. Even though that sauce wasn t on the menu, they still accommodated her, which she was very happy about that. She said it was delicious and ate the whole thing. It came with garlic bread. All in all we all had great portions of food and were all satisfied and happy, almost everyone had to go boxes. The food was absolutely wonderful and I think no matter what you order, you ll love it. We are planning on going back many more times. And making many more memories here. Parking: Easily found parking but have noticed that the lot is usually packed.

Got the opportunity to eat at Luciles last night. I went here specifically for the Chicken Fried Steak and was not disappointed. The steak was very large, which is always a plus for me. The crusting of it was well done and maintained its crispness even though it was topped with a pepper gravy. CFS is my favorite dish and something I will always get if it is on the menu. This was was very well executed and flavorful. I will say that the gravy might have been just a smidge on the over peppery side, but I admit I added a smidge of pepper prior to tasting it, so that might have been the difference. It came with mashed potatoes. Those were fine. I always prefer no skins and no lump type of mashed potatoes, but that is just a personal preference. For dessert we got the peach cobbler. It was good. For an extra dollar you can get a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top of that and I would say that is a necessity. The cobble was good, but without the ice cream would have been both overly sweet and oddly overly sour at the same time. All in all, I really loved this place and could come back 10 more times to try to whole menu, but alas, I would probably order the CFS everytime. Oh and I got a lobster roll to go. Havent ate it yet, but looking forward to.

Had a reservation but still had to wait about 5-10 mins for table. The food came out so fast, it even beat our drinks from the bar. Along with chicken fried steak had the crab cakes with pasta(seemed a bit overpriced for the portion size but still delicious). Complimentary rolls were above par at the very least, but the ck fried steak is next level!
