Booked an appointment 2 months in advance for my childrens portraits. Confirmed by phone (they called me) and email. We showed up 5 minutes early and no one was there. There was also another appt. before us waiting. JC Penney manager came by, saw a total of 7 of us waiting and said he was calling Lifetouch district manager to find out where their staff was. After waiting 40 minutes, the person showed up. She never acknowledged any of us standing there, she just got on the computer for about 10 minutes, and then had the audacity to take a phone call for another few minutes while all of us stared standing right in front of her. She then asked the person in front us what she needed and asked her how she should take her picture. She didnt have any knowledge as to what she should do. We walked out. I contacted customer service via chat and that was not helpful. Then I called the 800 number and was told I would be contacted by management. It never happened. Im so disappointed as I have used Penneys for over 10 years consistently. The person from customer service asked me what else she could do to help and I asked if she could tell me where a studio was where the staff was guaranteed to show up. She just started looking on a map and told me about a studio 5 hours away. Big help.

Not only was the photographer SUPER late working with another family during my scheduled time, but I hated all of my pictures taken because she kept oddly forcing me to smile uncomfortably and kept patting my hair down so it looks flat and weird in all the photos. Go elsewhere for professional pics trust me

I made an appointment for Sunday 12pm. I was given a call the Friday prior to confirm my appointment. The person told me to arrive 5 mins before the appointment time. Sunday comes, I waited 40 minutes past my appointment time. There were no workers.

Lindsey took our sons newborn pictures and she did phenomenal. Our son wasnt to happy at first and was super fussy. She knew exactly what would work to calm him down so we could start our photos. She was patient and kind and the work she did was amazing. We will be taking pictures here again soon.

Aaron was our photographer for our sons 1st Birthday photo shoot. He was an absolute professional! From his patience, personality, vision & ideas, I give him 5 STARS easily! Our future bookings will be with him only at this location for now on. Thank you so much for being incredible and awesome at what you do! We will have these photos for a lifetime & they are perfect! Our digital images was emailed to us a little after an hour & we cannot wait to get our metal print outs delivered to us. Thanks again Aaron!!

Alexis Williams was our photographer and our experience with her was so bad . She was very unprofessional. she cant even let you know you have to adjust your hair, posture and dress and she will just snap. I paid for a digital album and she was unable to send them to my email after waiting for 48 hours . I decided to call and all she could tell me was that she had emailed them to me and if I havent received them then she cant email them twice. I told her I havent received anything so what does she want me to do? She said I can call the customers service only when am in their studio . It was around 3 pm when I called her and she told me customers service have closed, I ended the call with her ,called customers service got them and explained everything to the lady and my images were sent within 30 minutes and i was not happy with because they were not enhanced. They look just like the ones I used my phone to snap. I regretted Alexis Williams being my photographer that day.

We had planned to get pictures of us individually and as a family... we have 3 kids under 10 and three adults. We had booked separate appointments and called several times to get it figured out. The lady had told us that we could all be in the session together.. that the limit was 6. We drove an hour and a half.. all dressed up ready for pictures... when we walk in and the lady told us we couldn t take our family pictures Together because the photographer is included in the 6 person limit, when over the phone that was never said or made clear, when they knew we were bringing 3 adults and 3 kids. The lady at the front desk was very rude and told us she was listening on the calls and said it was made very clear, however we would not have come this long way knowing we wouldn t have been able to take the pictures we wanted! Very unprofessional and very rude! I believe her name was candy.

Excellent experience, I am rather picky with photos and photographers. We were scheduled with Anel as our photographer, she was amazing! She was wonder with my crazy 3 year old and got wonderful pictures of him. Also she took the time to make sure our appearances were perfect. She shifted clothing when needed and made sure my hair looked right and did all the small extras an excellent photographer should do. She is now my go to photographer! Neece also came in to help at the end of our session when my kiddo was getting board and we did some shots that needed 2 people to get the shots. She was also very helpful and sweet. I cant say enough about those two amazing ladies! Great place to go when you get the right poeple taking your photos!

Went to JC Penny portraits for a work photo. The photo came out great. I found my shirt was tight around the neck and it was great to be at JC Penny so I could get what I needed on the fly. Pics are sent to email in the next couple days. Im not sure why its not instantaunious. I will go back.

We purchased a Groupon for a photo session. I scheduled an appointment for 10:00 this morning. When the store opened, the store manager said no one is here yet so hopefully they show up. We have now waited 27 minutes and there is no photographer here. The store manager called the portrait studio manager and said someone is supposed to be here; they said they will send someone ASAP. The store manager came back and nicely said I warned you when you came in so clearly this is a regular problem. The portrait manager called back and said she is getting dressed and on her way here because she can t get ahold of the photographer scheduled. I will update this if we end up with an exceptional experience. EDITED: The photographer that we were told was scheduled but no-showed said she rushed over from a doctors appointment. She told us we would be greatly compensated for the misunderstanding and having to wait 90 minutes for someone to get there. She recommended we go get lunch and our edited pictures would be ready when we get back. She talked my mom into buying the $550 package and was able to discount it to $175. If it were me, I would have said cash in the groupon for the free session fee and free canvas, then give us the digital images with printing rights for free. The pictures weren t even amazing. Our pictures were supposed to be ready July 31 and we never heard anything so we called on August 3 and were told they were ready. I waited 40 minutes to even be acknowledged and I know they heard me because my son had a loud toy. All they needed to do was peek their head out and say they ll be with me shortly.

Ive taken my son to a different location to get his 3 month pictures taken and the lady was nice but it was a fake nice. I decided to try this one and will only have Joslyn take our pictures! I always call ahead of our appointment to make sure she is the one that is going to be there. Shes taken his 6, 9, and 12 month pictures and will be taking our holiday pictures next.

One star due to terrible customer service. When we showed up the photographer was taking her break at the cash register. When we walked up and stood right in front of her she refused to acknowledge us until she was done. We were literally standing right in front of her and our session was in just a few minutes. Another complaint is they could not take my CC payment over the phone so I had to paybin person. The problem with that was they only have one person working (all 3 times I went in). And every time I went in there was a photo session going on. So I had to wait way too long (approx 25 min) just to pay or pick up pics. And they never say sorry for the wait, just act like nothing happened.

I love jcp over all! Its an amazing one stop shop! Love it so much that I told my sister about the photography department they have at this location, for her new born! The pictures were great and from what my sister told me the experience for her was great but once I went in to pick up her order, I was handed something different then what I walked in thinking I was getting. Mind you, I work customer services so I know mistakes happen but its not how it was made... its how the mistakes are handled that matters. They lady at the front dress was rude and unprofessional. Laughing smirking and reassuring me she was right when I never even mentioned she was wrong. I definitely think she should of took a step back and realized that customer service is so important and that if one customer is happy with her work and the experience that was provided, one customer turns into 3-6 more customers... if one customer walks out of her department unsatisfed and disrespected, well.. thats about 3-6 new customers this department will never even get the chance to meet. Off of this one bad experience.. so Im wondering if the company is willing to take that hit for a young lady who to me doesnt respect her customers.
